Thame House Dental Practice - Thame Dentist

Negative experience: Receptionists and dental assistant were all lovely, but unfortunately I cannot say the same about the dentist. I went in for an emergency appointment as I couldn't cope with the pain any longer. She told me that I had two options and that I needed to pay private prices. I asked which was cheaper, and she attempted to shame me and pressure me into getting the more expensive treatment. The appointment was an absolute waste of time.

Fantastic experience: From the moment that I arrive I am greeted by smiles and efficiency. Julie; my hygienist, is the very best with whom I have been a patient : likewise my dentist. A marvellous service . ( The only criticism is that premises could do with a 'facelift'.)

Negative experience: Signed me up for their mailing list without asking. Unsolicited marketing emails then unnecessarily (and deceptively) difficult to opt-out of.

Fantastic experience: Georgina is so kind, caring and talking me through every step and providing distracting conversations. She gave me all the information I needed after my tooth extraction . It was with a friendly non judgmental environment. Thank you very much to all the staff at the Thame house dental practice. One of the best dentist i ever had.

Fantastic experience: I’m not usually a fan of going to the dentist or hygienist, but Charlotte completely changed that for me. From the moment you sit down, she puts you at ease, taking the time to explain everything clearly and making sure you’re comfortable throughout. Charlotte and her assistant Danni are excellent communicators; they talk you through what they’re doing without overwhelming you, which really helped me feel relaxed. If you’re someone who usually gets nervous about dental visits, I couldn’t recommend Charlotte more highly. She’s professional, gentle, and genuinely cares about making the experience as stress free as possible. I still wish I didn’t have to go… but I’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic experience: Anisha is a superb dental hygienist with great knowledge and a wonderful manner. I can’t vouch for the dentists as I don’t use them, but I highly recommend Anisha

Fantastic experience: I had an oral hygienist appointment with Charlotte assisted by Bayleigh, a dental nurse. They were an excellent team, with Charlotte explaining exactly what she was doing and checking I was OK and I will ask for Bayleigh again as her technique for using the saliva ejector was brilliant and made the procedure much more comfortable. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Thame Dental Practice for 5 years, and have to say that unlike so many others who hate visiting dentists (and now have bad teeth), I actually look forward to my appointment with Dr Clare Anand. It’s her attitude and approach that make all the difference. She is kind, gentle and empathetic. I highly recommend her and the practice.

Negative experience: Surprisingly not good today with the dental hygienist Firstly the Air flow equipment for cleaning teeth did not work. After cleaning my teeth manually, the polishing equipment did not work. Consequently I had to make an appointment for the following week to get the job completed properly.

Fantastic experience: Charlotte (Stacey) is amazing! I am someone who has had a lot of problems with my teeth and gums, and am less than confident when it comes to going to the dentist or hygienist. Charlotte is the most kind, patient and caring person and hygienist, putting me completely at ease and keeping me calm and relaxed. She has introduced me to Air Flow Cleaning. She is extremely gentle, positive and encouraging. I would recommend Charlotte, the lovely receptionists and Thame House Dental Practice to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I have just had a wisdom tooth out, and of course that can never be a nice experience, however Georgina put me at ease very quickly, and explained everything thoroughly beforehand. She was very competent and so it was as easy an experience as you could hope for. A big thank you to everyone involved in my treatment.

Fantastic experience: I was seen earlier than the appointment time. Everything was explained to me in a most friendly manner. The treatment was carried out very efficiently with absolutely no discomfort to myself. Afterwards Zac explained to me what he had done and pointed some things which may cause problems in the future but hopefully not. A really positive experience.

After discovering my tooth couldn’t be saved with a root canal because it had split, the dentist took the time to clearly explain every step of the extraction process. Their thorough explanations and calm approach really put me at ease, and the treatment itself was handled very professionally. I felt well cared for throughout — highly recommended!

I’d highly recommend!! I also saw Zaki for my regular check up and again, no faults at all. Great service and very nice. Fantastic experience: Was warmly, politely & professionally welcomed for my routine inspection. Zaki who has the gentlest of bedside manners gave my teeth a very thorough inspection. Fortunately everything declared in excellent order. Considering it’s a dentist, all in all a very pleasant experience . Highly recommend this practice.

Negative experience: Lost a filling, just over a year after having it done. remaining tooth was sharp. Called for an emergency appointment. Nothing for 2 weeks. Went to appointment. sharp pieces of tooth now broken off so cheek now healed. Diagnosis, tooth extraction or crown. Next appointment made for over 6 weeks later. Not ideal! If i get pain in the mean time I can call up for antibiotics. Great.

Fantastic experience: Ella + her dental nurse were excellent, the receptionist who booked me in was v nice too. I did wait a little but I was fine with that. Especially as I had a permanent filling done when I was expecting a temporary one which would’ve required another visit. Ella was very personable + also empathetic re my trying to remember the name of the different meds I’m on!
