I was very nervous but everyone made me feel so comfortable including Lucy who held my hand throughout. Fantastic experience: My most recent visit, on 16th January 2023, was for a regular session with the dental hygienist; as always, the job was thoroughly done in a pleasant atmosphere. I've been attending the practice for many years, under both its current and previous management, and would recommend it to others. Update for 17th July 2023. Another session with a different, but also excellent, hygienist - apart from doing a thorough job in a pleasant and new surgery, she provided useful extra advice on dental care. As before, I'd certainly recommend Crossways to others. Update for 22nd January 2024. I was back to my regular hygienist for this visit and, as always, she did a thorough job in a pleasant manner. I continue to recommend Crossways to others, particularly as refurbishment of the practice is now near completion. Update for 22nd July 2024. Another visit to my regular hygienist, who did her usual friendly and thorough job. My recommendation for Crossways is as before as their service remains excellent. Update for 23rd June 2025. My visit this time was, unfortunately, for a scheduled tooth extraction but this was carried out efficiently (and painlessly!), with good after-care advice provided. I continue to recommend Crossways for their excellent and professional service. The following refers to two related visits on 24th and 30th October 2025. The first was a regular checkup, during which it was discovered that a piece of root from my previous tooth extraction was lodged in my gum. The second visit was to remove this. In both cases, treatment was both professional and friendly, as has always been my experience with this practice over many years.

Positive experience: I’m new to the practice, having previously been with a Bupa dentist, so the experience felt quite different. My recent visit was to see the hygienist, and while the appointment went smoothly overall, I did feel that it was quite brief and didn’t focus as much on the deeper, more thorough cleaning I’m used to. Additionally, I usually receive tailored advice during my visits, but this time there wasn’t much guidance offered. Perhaps it wasn’t necessary, but overall, it felt as though the hygienist wasn’t as thorough as I would have expected.

Negative experience: Unfortunately one of my crowns popped out at the weekend, so I left a message on the Crossways Dental voicemail on Sunday asking for an appointment as soon as possible on Monday. The receptionist, Shicade, was great and called me back before the practice opened on Monday morning and offered me a midday appointment. I had the appointment with Jatan Patel and he spent 15 minutes recementing my crown and all was good, until I got the bill!! I had expected to pay £90, which is what my father had paid just before Christmas, however I was shocked when Dr Patel gave me a bill for £140, as I'd been charged £95 for the recementing and then £45 for an emergency appointment!! At no point in the process had I been informed that it was an emergency appointment, or what the costs involved would be, so I feel as though I have been taken advantage of due to my toothy predicament. So, moral of the story is, always request your quote in advance of your appointment.

Fantastic experience: I recently registered with crossways dental and they have gone above and beyond with all my and my family's needs , the reception is friendly and very welcoming the practice is very clean and staff that I have met so far have been very helpful along the way in getting my gum health to a better place and my smile back to its shiny self .

Negative experience: Having booked a 12:00 appointment, I was sat waiting until 12:30, with nobody from the staff letting me know my appointment was delayed, or how much longer my wait would be. After having asked the receptionist at 12:30 if it would be long, I was greeted by the dentist 5 minutes later to be told they were running at least a further 20 minutes late. A prior appointment overrunning should be made clear to people with arranged appointments, or said patient should be told they need to come back at a later date to ensure others with arranged appointments are not delayed. Being told after 30 minutes of waiting I would need to wait another 20 minutes (only after asking) is highly unacceptable. I was then asked if I needed to re-schedule, like I was in the wrong. Completely unacceptable service and a disregard for patients time and cost of travelling to the practice. Have been going here for the last 20 years, however since the new owners have taken over this is the experience I have received and will not go here any more.

Negative experience: It's so disappointing when as a private patient you pay a lot of money for treatment ( had envisalign done by Jatan - brilliant result , 3 monthly cleaning and checkups by the lovely Aiesha - brilliant ) and expect a pleasant welcoming experience from the moment you arrive and when you leave and don't get either. 7 minutes after my appointment was due I asked if she was overrunning and she said "Nahhhh"then went to ask and found that Aiesha was waiting to find out if I'd arrived. I had my treatment which was done nicely by Aiesha , went to reception to pay and after waiting 5 minutes as the person in front was paying with coins, the receptionist said "63!" (I presumed this was the amount I owed , so paid . That was the only words she spoke to me , no please , no Thankyou , nothing . Maybe you need to think about employing someone like Lucy who was there for years and always lovely , polite and welcoming . Amanda Keogh

Fantastic experience: Booked my appointment online and I was made to feel comfortable at my appointment as I have a fear of dentists. I have a treatment plan set up which is clear and I can understand my treatment and when it will be and there are no surprises. Also you pay as you go so you don’t get one large bill at the end. The staff are friendly. It was a good experience as I really don’t like going to the dentist.

Fantastic experience: Made an emergency appointment at the start of the year for a toothache and received great service from Dr Vanesha. She was really friendly and gentle and was able to treat me. I love the online booking system because without it I may have not been able to get in as soon as I did. My elderly father also goes to the practice and Dr Dhrumil is absolutely brilliant with him. A really great, friendly, and professional practice that I would most definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: My first appointment at this practice. I am very anxious attending for dental work but I was quickly put at ease. As I was having an extraction done I knew it was likely to be a bit uncomfortable but it was no where near as bad as I anticipated.The dentist explained what he was doing all the time and was very calm and reassuring. The tooth was extracted a lot easier than I was expecting. I have decided to stay with this practice and have some restorative work done in due course. Thank you.

Both ladies were extremely friendly, polite and very helpful, thank you. Zina completed two fillings for me and a hygiene which was recommended after not having it done since COVID. Fantastic experience: I attended the surgery and was seen on time. My dentist, Dhrumil Patel, welcomed me and immediately puts you at ease. After my check up, I asked a number of questions, which he answered and explained in such a way, that you can't fail to understand. He also shows images, so its a visual thing as well. He takes his time, which makes you feel its not a production line. All in all, a very pleasant dental experience.
