Fantastic experience: I’ve been a patient at Covent Garden Dental Practice for around three years now, and the transformation in my dental health has been remarkable. When I first arrived, I was struggling with gum recession, tooth sensitivity and recurring pain that eventually led to an extraction. It genuinely felt like things were only going to get worse. Fast forward to today and it’s almost as though I have a completely new set of teeth. Dr. Nina’s work has been nothing short of exceptional - combining expertise, care and honest guidance in a way I’d never experienced before. After years of being told my teeth were “fine”, he was the first to identify that their shape was contributing to many of my ongoing dental issues. That insight set me on an orthodontic journey that has changed everything. Throughout my braces treatment, Dr. Sharma and Dr. Zhang were a dream to work with. Their skill and attention meant my braces even came off a few months earlier than expected. And every visit with Ms. Jones has left my teeth visibly cleaner and my smile brighter - her thoroughness and friendliness is unmatched. In short, the care, attention to detail and compassion shown by the team at Covent Garden Dental Practice is outstanding. I couldn’t recommend them more highly to anyone looking for truly professional, high-quality dental care.

Fantastic experience: I'm one of the practice's 'founder' patients, and the only reason why I have a reasonable set of my own teeth aged 72 is as a result of Andrew Kay's expert care. Andrew has now retired (boo hoo!) and passed me on to Anton who also possesses that ideal combination of care, expertise and practical advice. I shan't be going anywhere else...

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of the clinic for over 10 years - until now just for 'easy' routine procedures. However last year my front tooth (which had a root canal for 25 years) started giving me problems and required attention. The clinic did a very good job: Dr Anton made the initial assessment and recommended to get an additional opinion from someone specialised in these cases. This eventually confirmed his original recommended treatment, which was to treat the infection and then replace the old tooth with an implant. This involved coordinating various scans, separated procedures carried out by both Dr. Anton and Dr Pranay Sharma, different recovery times, and appointments. Despite the complexity, overall I feel that the communication with the doctors and with reception was really good. Specifically, the treatment options, pros/cons and expectations were clearly explained to me by the doctors; a proposed timeline of steps was shared via email and agreed in advance; the clinic was flexible to move/prioritise certain appointments to attend the needs of my case. The whole procedure was finished 6 months ago or so. It all went smooth (as smooth as I could expect from such an disruptive/intrusive treatment) and I am pleased to report that since then everything has been great - no problems or complications. Thank you to the whole team.

Johanna is a wonderful dental hygienist who puts her patients at ease and does a thorough job of getting to where toothbrushes do not get! Johanna is always friendly and engaging and very good at providing advice on all matters oral hygiene-related. Highly recommended!

I have always been very anxious and scared about visiting the dentist, but everything changed when I walked into the clinic. His calm and professional approach immediately put me at ease, and for the first time, I actually felt comfortable in the dentist’s chair. The treatment itself was painless, gentle, and handled with such care. What impressed me was how Dr. Anton explained every step clearly, ensuring I felt safe and reassured throughout. Fantastic experience: First class service, kind and knowledgeable reception team, been a patient for 7 years and although I am a bit of a nervous patient, I am always made to feel at ease by the dentist, she is very professional and walks me through all my options to a satisfactory outcome. I have had quite a varied set of treatments over the years and have always been very happy with the results.

Negative experience: Please be aware of using this clinic. I really wouldn't wish for anyone to go through what I have gone through. I have been going to this dental practice for over 10 years and recently booked an appointment for advice over my front tooth. The dentist did an examination and said I also had an issue with a molar and told me I needed a root canal to be done. When I went back for this treatment he injected the anaesthetic on the wrong side of my mouth and nearly operated on the wrong tooth. Luckily I stopped him in time. The treatment was completely unorganised. Very bad dental practices throughout. After the treatment I got an infection (a lump protruding from my gums) which he told me was just 'bone expansion'. As the infection got worse I sought his advice, at which time he informed me he had left the clinic. But no one had told me this from the clinic. I have now gone to a different clinic for a second opinion and have found out the following: 1. That tooth should never have been operated on (low chance of success which I was informed of) 2. I have a dental abscess that requires immediate antibiotics. Which he missed. 3. After being referred to a specialist by the new clinic, I now may need to get the tooth removed.

The receptionist is so kind and always cheerful and helpful (it makes every visit a bright one for me) and I’m very happy with Dr Anh Lam! I’ve been in London for almost 5 years and I struggled to find a good dentist I felt comfortable with, finally a friend recommended me their practice and from my very first visit I knew I will come back! Very professional and Dr Anh goes above and beyond and always explains everything before each procedure and makes sure I’m comfortable and informed throughout. Positive experience: Apart from the incredibly skilled team, these guys have an intuitive understanding of the needs of patients. Dr David’s consultation followed by his recommendation, Dr Tina Wang who saw me through 4 sessions with my deep calcification plague treatment. Had gone after antibiotics to combat highly inflamed infected gums and now they feel better. The aesthetic difference not withstanding - a touch, I appreciate - also the experience of the patient - numbing gels, injections, and constant encouragement to relieve any stress. Oral hygiene regime is a thing - clinic could do more content on comprehensive best practice/ how to on socials or training patients.

Negative experience: This was 'my' experience and I have every right to share it. I did not feel listened to by the dentist Anh Lam and hygienist when I repeatedly told them not to shine a light in my face, thus ws then dimmed (why was this not done at while first instance) only to be increased to full brightness, yet again. An uncomfortable experience, to which the dentist caught the edge of my lip to one of their apparatus and I left with a blood spot. When explained to the manager their protocol was to ask the dentist who denied all accounts and who refused my refund, I should not have paid as I was left quite traumatised and unhappy with the quality behind the service; but I paid as I felt I had to. Reception staff were kind but they are not the ones carrying out procedures. Avoid like the plague!

Fantastic experience: Dr Anton Reece Nina is a WIZARD!! So I’ve been going to Dr Anton Nina at Covent Garden Dental Practice since 2014 and I honestly can’t recommend him enough. From day one, he’s ALWAYS been amazing—making me feel completely comfortable and turning what could be a dreaded appointment into something I actually somewhat look forward to. Anton has a way of combining professionalism with such a friendly and relaxed demeanor that I genuinely consider him more of a friend than just my dentist. We always share a laugh, even when he’s (rightfully) telling me off for not flossing! Most importantly, he’s incredibly talented, always fixing me up and ensuring I leave with a perfect smile. This is not the typical, nerve-wracking dentist experience I remember from childhood. Instead, every visit feels more informative, fun, and reassuring. The quality of care and service is worth every penny. The reception staff are all lovely as well, ALWAYS welcoming and helpful!! Negative experience: Rude and unprofessional receptionist. I was disappointed with Covent Garden Dental Practice's response to my hygienist leaving. Instead of addressing the situation and ensuring continuity of care, I was rudely asked if I wanted to continue as a patient.

Fantastic experience: CGDP were recommended to me by friends, and I am so pleased to have moved my dental care to them. I've been looked after by Anton Nina as my main dentist for the past two years. He's always given me great care and advice on improving my teeth and gum health, along with being available if I had concerns. He also oversaw my teeth whitening and helped me get a really natural looking improvement - I was wary of having 'blinding influencer teeth' and they're nothing like that, very pleased with my bright, natural healthy looking teeth. Pratik Sharma was my Orthodontist who also gave great advice, helped me through 18 months of white ceramic braces (many people didn't even realise I had them on) and we got a fantastic result with my upper and lower set of teeth. Now we're in the aftercare process he continues to provide great support and advice. David Tissera is the third practitioner who has helped me with composite bonding on my top four teeth once my braces did their job and whitening was complete. I could not be happier with the results of David's work. He's given me four bonded teeth in proportion with the rest of my teeth and an outstanding colour match. They look so natural and well placed in my new smile that you cannot really tell the work has been done. It's exactly the result I was hoping for and I could not be happier. In 2022 I wanted to take control of the state of my dental health and get a better aesthetic outcome for my teeth, I actually considered going somewhere like Turkey to get treatment - having seen some of the horror stories of what can happen there and how poor the follow up care is, I am so happy I decided to stay in London and was recommended Covent Garden Dental Practice. CGDP has an outstanding team, not only of very experienced, professional dentists, but also friendly, helpful support staff in the nursing, hygienist and front of house teams. Fantastic experience: I have been treated by Anton at Covent Garden Dental Practice for over 15 years. I have always the best of care. Treatment needs are made very clear and laid out on a treatment plan. I can thoroughly recommend him. I recently needed the care of Pranny Sharma one of the surgeons fromthe practice. I was extremely impressed with the service and treatment I received. Reception staff are readily available and give an excellent and friendly and helpful service. I must not forget to mention Jo the hygienist also. She is very thorough at all times and very considerate when treating me.

Fantastic experience: Dr Anton managed to fix a really complex tooth - number four in a very narrow space. It was chipped really badly before, but now the root canal is done and a shiny porcelain crown is on top. Great work! Not the cheapest practice, but kinda expected in the centre of London and if insurance covers some of the cost it is not too bad.

Fantastic experience: I have recently been treated by Dr Anton at CGDP for a cavity which resulted in a root canal and crown. I can’t thank Dr Anton Nina enough for how quick he managed to arrange all the treatment I required due to the time constraints I had. Dr Anton Nina has been my dentist for 13 years now and I can’t rate him enough for his professionalism and ability, this Dr is simply amazing and it’s why I continue to make the 1.5 hour journey every time I see him.

Fantastic experience: I first became a patient of Dr Reena Ali in 1991 after taking up employment near Covent Garden. She has given me fantastic support ever since including several crowns and a replacement bridge on my front teeth. I now travel from Somerset to stay with her. My wife did not see a dentist for 32 years after teenage trauma so I introduced her to Reena. She calmed all her fears and repaired the damage of such neglect. My wife would not now go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: I have used Covent Garden Dental Practice for my mouth guard for my sleep apnoea. They were recommended to me by my hospital. Dr. Anton has helped me with this process. It was handled in a very friendly and professional manner. I would highly recommend them.

Negative experience: I like the practice a lot but I don't think their fares are *fair*. They increased the price for a standard hygienist booking from £75 to £99 during Covid times, at the time saying it was to pay for all the extra covid equipment and the time it took between appointments to avoid contaminations. But once Covid restrictions were lifted and no additional equipment was needed, they kept the covid prices. A 32% increase is ridiculous for a practice that was already charging premium prices in the first place.

Fantastic experience: My initial impression of the practice was incredibly positive, with a professional & welcoming atmosphere that immediately put me at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Anh Lam & the practice for their skilled, friendly team, advanced facilities, and commitment to an exceptional patient experience. Im really happy with the outcome of the Invisalign and would highly recommend anyone thinking of having it done to work with Dr Lam and her team.

Fantastic experience: This is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. The professional approach and friendly manner is superb. The care taken to ensure the treatment is correct rather then just removing teeth (which seems to be the go to with other dentists) is really appreciated. They have won alot of awards and I can see why. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Negative experience: Rude reception staff who had confirmed an appointment over the phone, when I arrived it wasn’t booked in and I was told it was for a months time (for an emergency appointment why would I get an emergency appointment for a month later?). None of the services I had asked for were booked in either. Completely inept, rude and weren’t apologetic. No effort was made to fit me in for the same day. I’ll be changing practices. Alessandro is no longer a dentist there and was fantastic. Awful experience.

Accesible, confident and knowledgeable! He put my mind at ease when I decided to start the process and was always reassured me to get the result we both would be really happy with. Fantastic experience: We came to CGDP on recommendation and I would and indeed do recommend them to everyone! I feel really lucky to have found Dr Anton (and his team) who have been so patient with me. I’m a nervous patient and have had to have quite a bit of work done. Dr Anton always takes the time to explain the procedures before and during, going at my pace and offering me time to pause if I need it. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at this multi award winning practice for almost 30 years. Along the way I have had many treatments, from simple fillings to veneers and most recently a complicated extraction. My son was in their care from infancy and thanks to Pratik Sharma now has the smile to die for. Reena and the whole team radiate kindness, gentleness and top notch, pain free dentistry. Negative experience: I recently rang up to make a dental hygienist appointment , as I hadn’t been able to make one for some time now. I received a extremely rude and abrupt reply that they were fully booked till Christmas. I have been a patient for 30 years and known in the surgery , as you can imagine I have spent thousands of pounds in such a period and felt the treatment I received was disgusting . They have obviously lost all regard to their original patients who have supported the practice and in fact don’t seem to care. I am shocked to say the least , as this is the third time it’s happened within a year. Obviously they are only interested in ones money and no loyalty anymore. Welcome to the new Covent Garden. Shocked and upset !!!! Tony
