Fantastic experience: The team at Castleton Dental are exceptional, there’s no other words to describe them. I’ve had years of bad dentistry and was genuinely at a loss of what to do. I then came across Castleton dental practice and my first impressions were that they were highly professional, transparent and it’s was obvious that they truly cared for every patient. I was set up with Peter to be my dentist who did an extensive assessment of my mouth, teeth, fillings and existing issues (there were many). I was given a clear plan with proving and information about their membership which would save me money on routine appointments etc. once agreed I went through treatment, a lot of work had to be done and one appointment lasting 4.5 hours but boy was I glad to have done that. It’s meant so much could be done and I came out of that appointment being able for the first time in 15 years to eat comfortably I also loved my new smile. Peter did such a beautiful job and I haven’t stopped grinning at everyone since. Laura, Shelly and the team always answer my questions if I have any, they look after me so well and every staff member I interact with is kind, supportive and caring. It’s such a lovely practice to be in. So I’m ending this review with a huge heart felt thank you to all of you for taking such good care of me, for helping me over come all the horrible issues I had with my teeth and for making me feel welcome and fully cared for. Fantastic experience: My worst fear in the dentist's chair - the root canal treatment! Peter and his team were fantastic in keeping me calm throughout first phase of this difficult treatment, leaving me with no ill-effects - just the prospect of phase 2 in a few weeks time! Earlier, I was in the hygienist's chair where Andrea and Nicky gave me a great wash and brush up. This is such a great practice in every respect whether it is the front of house team aor the practitioners who use state of the art equipment to deliver great treatment in a caring and compassionate way.

Fantastic experience: Emergency appointment with Lara made feel so special from the moment we walked in the door . Caring smiling staff iam very nervous patient need to go bk to have 3 extractions next week iam petrified as need blood pressure taken ili have white coat syndrome abd very bad anxiety but been reassured they will look after me I will update next week ❤️lovely people .

Fantastic experience: I've been with the practice now for approaching 5 years. I came first during Covid and they helped me with an emergency which had me in great pain - fixed. I also had bad dental health issues when I joined and now thanks to the teams my dental score is below ten for the first time. So if you care about dental health this is a great place.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience in that having seen Andrea for a routine hygiene session, she suggested I should have a troublesome tooth extracted and set up an appointment accordingly for the following day with Dr Phil Davies. He performed the extraction so seemlessly I was not aware at the very moment of the extraction that it had actually taken place! Great team and individual efficiency, professionalism, care and speed of action all round.

Fantastic experience: As a new patient, I recently had a composite filling replaced and cannot fault the treatment I received. From start to finish, the care was excellent and the treatment plan thorough to ensure I achieved the best result for my teeth. Negative experience: Whilst it almost seems a shame to tarnish the (virtually) unblemished reviews of Castleton Dental Practice this is what reviews are for. I would also point out that I sent an e mail outlining my complaint directly via the website but sadly did not receive acknowledgement. I am not a regular client at the practice but a gold crown came loose whilst away in Portugal and my regular dentist in Farnham could not see me on the one day I had available on my return on Friday 23rd May. Castleton were able to help (for which I was very grateful) and offered to re fit the crown. This was carried out by Peter. The crown was re fitted but the "bite" did not feel as it did before, which I pointed out at the time. I was assured that it would "bed in". As a non regular client I was charged £350 for this short operation. On returning to my regular dentist in Farnham I asked him to look at the re fitted crown to see if the bite could be corrected. He had to remove the crown clean out all the bonding material, some of which appeared to have been left in from its original fitting, clean up the tooth (which involved an anaesthetic due to sensitivity) and then re fit the crown correctly. The bite was then returned to its previously correct seating. This cost me a further £240. Whilst I was extremely grateful to Castleton for assisting at short notice I feel that the work carried out was sadly second rate and caused me discomfort and further expense. Added to this I have given the practice the opportunity to address my complaint prior to posting this review and it failed to do so.

Fantastic experience: This was a very positive experience, and during the consultation the dental procedure that was being proposed, was explained fully, and I was able to ask questions about the methods and procedures which would be followed for my specialist treatment. The dental technician explained in a direct and understandable way, both the duration and the expected outcomes during and after treatment. The whole appointment was friendly and engaging and will be followed up with a dental plan for further review and evaluation. The receptionists were also friendly and helpful, and provided additional information into the operation of the practice, and overall it was a very reassuring and constructive consultation. Thank you. This further review as at 04/08/22 provides an update into my dental treatment, which commenced earlier in the year, and yesterday (which was the 3rd phase), the dental implant was placed in situ, and the procedure was conducted in a most professional manner. The treatment at each stage is explained in a friendly and relaxing way, which is very reassuring, and it makes for a positive experience. Particular thanks to Dr.Caoimhe Doherty who carried out the procedure, and Holly for her friendly assistance and organisational skills, and to the rest of the Castleton Team. 05/06/2024 Castleton Dental Practice provides a very professional and friendly service, and I continue to use them for both preventative and remedial dental work, and they never fail to deliver. I have undergone dental implant surgery here, and the service and care is second to none.Thank you again. 27/03/25 I have undergone a number of treatments at this dental practice, and the service is always to a very high standard. The friendliness and up to date facilities ensure that the patient receives treatment in the most effective way, Communication is also relaxed, helpful and informative, to ensure successful results.

Fantastic experience: The Castleton dental practice have been mine and my family’s dentist of choice for over 25 years and I have always found them to be highly professional and highly skilled in their work. The practice culture is welcoming and when it is necessary to make an appointment at short notice they do their best to oblige. This is an excellent dental practice.

Fantastic experience: It is just a terrific service from the moment that you arrange the appointment. The wonderfully helpful and charming reception team confirming the appointment the day before and then the warm welcome on the day of the visit. The highly professional, gentle and caring dental hygienist (Andrea) methodically treats and explains her treatment at every stage and then I was directed to the exemplary dentist, Lara. One is greeted very warmly, made to feel very relaxed and comfortable and then taken through the treatment once again. A thoroughly pleasurable and professional experience all round, I can’t recommend them more strongly.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient at Castleton for over 12 years and have to see the dental hygienist frequently due to gum problems resulting in persistent bleeding due to their fragile nature. They referred me to a gum specialist and I have to have regular check ups at the Royal Surrey Hospital. While I do not look forward to the constant dental hygiene appts I have absolute trust in my regular hygienist Katy. I normally have to have my gums numbed by injections beforehand but on my most recent visit I felt confident enough to do without the injections. I came away feeling much more positive about future treatments. Being on the health plan is also an added bonus to me, having to attend so often. Personally I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Fantastic experience: On a recent Desert Programme, I broke off part of a front tooth, this necessitated using an emergency filler from my medical kit… ! Peter repaired the damage this week, superbly. It is now as good as new. 5 gold stars to Castleton Dental.

Fantastic experience: I needed to see a dentist to assess what could be done as I had had an old bridge and a crown come off. I should probably have gone to the dentist much earlier but being almost 90 time slipped by too quickly. Peter had a look at the wreckage of my teeth and came up with a plan there and then which was more than acceptable. A series of appointments was sorted out there and then to suit me. I, as always, am very grateful to Peter and his team who really do care. I would recommend Castleton Dental Practice at all times.

Positive experience: I had a routine trip to the lovely hygienist Andrea. Painless, efficient and thorough. I was made comfortable and welcome. My only negative comment would be about trying to get through the front door ‘airlock’ with a walking aid - nor easy!

Fantastic experience: They can now do implants in house. I've just started the process, tooth out and a perfectly fitted denture in. Now the wait for the bone to grow. Again, it was very professional, slick, almost enjoyable! Originally the dentist suggested that I might have a cracked tooth and warned me that I might need an implant, which it seems aren't always detectable by x-ray or CT scan. I delayed it for too long, hoping that the infection would go away by itself, ignoring best advice! I'm on antibiotics after the procedure, but previously I was fatigued, but it has noticeably disappeared. I didn't believe that a tooth infection could have such an effect. Again, both dentists told me about the link, I should have taken notice earlier!

Negative experience: I wonder if you realise how it sounds when you say; "sorry, as you haven't been since 2019 so you aren't a client any more". Do you remember what happened in 2020/21? Then you kindly added; "As you are in discomfort that will cost you £120 for an emergency appointment, it would only be £50 if you were still a client" When my clients trickled back after Covid, I didn't say to them "Sorry you aren't a client any more" Maybe you are busy enough not to worry about how your practice appears.

Fantastic experience: excellent hygienist appointment with Katy yesterday again. she is beyond thorough and provides helpful advice on teeth care. Katy inspires confidence through her totally professional approach. this is a very different experience to my previous dental practices.

Fantastic experience: Quite the dental week – first a check-up with Lara’s maternity cover, who was very nice and thorough and made me feel in good hands. Spotted a problem filling and cracked tooth, which she fixed the following day. Then back to get my teeth cleaned by Andrea. Best clean I have had – won’t be the last.

Fantastic experience: I came to this practice on my return from a job in Scotland in 1991 and have been with it ever since. From time to time over this lengthy period staff have changed, especially since covid, but the high standard of customer care has not. So - the practice has looked after me in an efficient and friendly way for nearly 30 years and I expect it will continue to do so. What more to say.

Fantastic experience: From the moment I made the phone call I was confident I'd made the right choice. Friendly and helpful. My dentist was a fund if information and new research and also reassured me of the treatment to follow. The dental packages available also means I can also now afford private dental care.

Fantastic experience: This was the first time I visited Castleton Dental to see Dr Caoimhe Doherty about a problem tooth, which I knew probably would need extracting, but because of my intense fear of needles could not be treated by my usual dentist. I have to say that I was very impressed, all the staff that I encountered were extremely professional, kind and caring, in particular both Caoimhe and Holly, who looks after Caoimhe bookings etc. were so helpful and understanding, fully appreciating my fears. Everything was explained to me, so that when I do have my tooth removed I am aware of what will happen, but reassured that I will be fully sedated, so it will not be a traumatic event. I cannot praise everyone enough and would recommend them to anyone.

She carried out a thorough oral examination, telling me about the problem areas and explaining the process she would be using to clean my teeth. The process was painless and comfortable. Andrea was very thorough and my mouth felt nice and fresh once she had finished. She then explained the best way for me to look after my teeth and gums going forward. I'm very happy with the service I received.

In recent times a very considerable investment in modern equipment, most notably this year with state of the art hygenist equipment using air / water solution, not untrasonics.
