Fantastic experience: Cathedral Dental Clinic have been providing me and my two children dental health care for a number of years. We have always had an excellent experience and have never felt worried ahead of any of our appointments because the level of care is so high. The receptionists, dentists and hygienists are all really friendly, accommodating and professional.

Fantastic experience: Cathedral Rd dental practice has been fantastic for Our family. My daughter has checkups every three months. The dentist she sees is extremely friendly, shows her all the instruments he is going to use and talks through everything before doing anything. They go above and beyond to make sure she feels safe and comfortable and has really enjoyed all of her trip trips so far. I would highly recommend for any child who might have a bit of a fear of the Dentist.

My teeth were in a dreadful state - I had lost all confidence - I hardly smiled . I decided enough was enough and searched on line ,read recommendations - I found Cathedral Dental Clinic. Fantastic experience: I recently had an amazing experience at Cathedral Dental Clinic during my appointment with Dr Antonio Pires. At first, I went in for a check-up and scale and polish. A second appointment was scheduled for the following day for a filling and wisdom tooth extraction. Dr Pires is hands down the best dentist I have ever been to. He was empathetic, gentle, thorough, and diligent. He explained the X-rays to me and each step of the procedure in detail, which helped put my mind at ease. I told him that I had temporomandibular joint disorder - he was so patient and stopped every so often to allow me to rest my jaw. The dental nurses, Kayleigh, and Sweena, were so friendly and helpful. Additionally, the clinic staff, including Cathy, Ffion, and Ali, the operations manager, were all very hospitable and welcoming. Overall, my experience at Cathedral Dental Clinic was excellent, and I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of dental treatment.

Fantastic experience: I was totally happy with Dr Murray's treatment. I am very embarrassed about the condition I've allowed my teeth to get into.. but I felt totally at ease with her.. I had no discomfort whatsoever with quite an awkward couple of hard to reach fillings. No pain during or after procedure 5 ☆.. would recommend

I was booked in for an extraction, I couldn't have been more nervous. Dr Kolahi was absolutely amazing - so calming as was everyone present. I can't think of anything any of the staff could have done to make me more at ease. From reception to dental assistant to Dr Kolahi - I honestly can't praise the practice enough- from a VERY nervous patient who had a very successful procedure. And I must say, I haven't felt even moderate pain following the extraction. Queen of extraction- a well deserved title. Fantastic experience: I sought out Cathedral Dental Clinic because I was experiencing issues with an implant done at another clinic. I was impressed by the doctors who treated me—they were always very attentive and thorough in explaining the treatment options, outlining the advantages and disadvantages of each. I've already begun treatment, and despite it being a complex procedure, it went remarkably well, with minimal pain in the days following. I highly recommend this clinic! I conducted thorough research before choosing it, and the follow-up care for the procedures performed is exceptionally comprehensive.

Fantastic experience: My twin daughters required extensive orthodontic work on their teeth and were quite anxious about having to have so much done. The care, time and consideration taken by everyone at cathedral road dental clinic was amazing throughout the whole what turned out to be almost 3 years of treatment. Given I had daughters in school I had considered going to an advertised “teenage friendly” orthodontist, I am so pleased I stayed at the cathedral road dental clinic as they were considerate to timings of appointments and the girls needs throughout. There were times when we would contact the clinic to check if we needed to be seen (perhaps a bracket was lose/unsure about a band) and when contacting for an appointment we were seen within 24 hours. Of course what you want is an amazing experience that exceeds expectations (which we absolutely did at each point) but you also want results, and that we did. Just wow!!! My daughters can’t stop looking at their teeth, and people mention them all the time. Their jaws have been widened/bite altered/gums corrected and of course teeth straightened, I am of course biased but I think they look incredible and beautiful, and they are proud and confident girls who now show their teeth when they smile. Thankyou all at cathedral road dental clinic. I would highly recommend your services to anyone and everyone.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Cathedral Dental Clinic and Dr Kolahi enough. Dr Kolahi and team has been our family dentist for over 10 years. Her caring approach with myself and all 3 of my children has relieved the most stressful of situations though her unwavering ability to listen, explain treatments and using the latest technology provide a first class service.

Negative experience: I just called to book an appointment for cleaning and polishing and I was informed that I had to pay again (although being a registered customer) for general examination. Just another way to make extra money which is ridiculous and arbitrary. Also according to my experience I was advised by Cathedral Dental clinic to do a treatment costing more than £1000 which another dentist advised that it is not required (although I told him that if it was needed I would do it with him, so I offered him the money and he did not take it). Just a money making business with zero interest for the patient which is a shame to be associated with the medical care. Nice reply ,you liar. Shame on you, It took you a year to reply. What recently? I don't open accounts to review your business, LoL and I didn't insult anyone, what a liar. When I called the last time I was a registered customer and wanted just a cleaning nothing else. But it wasn't enough for you. I have all your documents, so looking forward to it. Just for info, customer reviews are for customers to express their honest opinions and this is mine.And finally, I do find the cost of private dentists ridiculous but this is not my problem with you. My problem is that you pushed me to do treatments costing thousands of pounds that other dentists suggested that were not required. This is unethical.

Negative experience: Came here for an appointment for teeth whitening, nothing else however was quoted £6k for work on my teeth before they could be whitened. Dentist insulted me and I left there worried and upset. I showed the quotes to another dentist who said I didn’t need any of the work they recommended and whitened my teeth. Continuing to get annoying texts from this dental practice though when I do not want to be reminded of my experience there and sure as hell would never return. Fantastic experience: I just want to say I was extremely happy with the service provided today from Cathedral dental practice. The politeness and thorough service was next to none. Every treatment I had was to perfection. I can be quite particular but literally can say 5 star to the moment I walked in to leaving the practice. Thank you I was nervous as I live in London and am used to my dentists down there but whilst I’m currently living in Cardiff I will look now where else thanks for offering such an amazing service.

If she had payment disputes, it usually goes to management, not screaming in a dental room – this is where patients get treated. My family and I have been using this clinic for years, and everyone is very calm, friendly, and helpful at this clinic.

The whole experience was calm from beginning to end. Tony introduced himself and talked me through everything he was doing so I could expect what was happening and I trusted him. Fantastic experience: I've had some bad experiences with dentists in the past so, when I needed a crown a few years ago, I did a fair amount of research online to choose a new dental practice. There were many to choose from in the Cardiff area with good reviews. Most, as you would expect, had a smattering of star ratings across the spectrum; mostly four or five, a couple of three stars, the odd one star. When I came to the reviews for Cathedral Dental the reviews seemed endless and they were all positive. If there was a negative review, I didn't stumble across it. Without hesitation I decided this was the practice to whom I would entrust my future dental health. The crown they crafted for me over two weeks is beyond perfect. I actually forget sometimes which is the crown and which the natural tooth next to it. I'm hoping they can repeat the trick again on my crumbling premolar. Quality dentistry is not cheap, and they aren't, but not more expensive than any other dental practice outside of Harley St. as far as I can tell, given that I only have so many teeth and I haven't had the chance to sample them all. Whatever the cost, they are worth every penny. They are very professional but don't treat you like a cash cow, more like an old friend (even if you've been naughty and skipped a few check ups). Simply the best dentists I've ever had in my life. My only gripe is that I wish they were a bit closer to the city centre. Their current location - in a picturesque Victorian era town house between Llandaff Fields and Sophia Gardens - is rather out of the way, although well served by public transport.

I am a new patient at Cathedral Dental Clinic, I was feeling a little anxious attending today as it was my first check up for a few years. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by a very friendly and approachable team of receptionist; Briony, Ffion, Harriet and Kathy, immediately my mind was put at ease. The establishment was clean, well presented and had a very relaxing atmosphere. After a lovely chat with the girls at the front desk I was attentively taken into the surgery by nurse Kayleigh where I met Dr Pires. He was very informative and helpful, his chair side manor was professional & personable. He was the most down to earth dentist I’ve ever come across, I would definitely recommend him! What I thought was going to be a daunting experience turned out to be an extremely positive one. Following my appointment, the receptionist Briony explained everything regarding my treatment plan with great care and was happy to answer any questions that I had. Fantastic experience: Cathedral Dental Clinic (CDC) Review I’ve been having orthodontic treatment for over 10 years. Until I went to this clinic I had seen around 5 dentists and paid a fortune out on correcting the work done by previous orthodontists. Before going to see Vida and the team I had had over 7 years of braces and the final result was terrible. I had bridges that were pushed forwards and my front teeth were beginning to cross. Vida and the team went through all the options in a way that I could understand to help guide me through deciding the perfect treatment to achieve the perfect result. Instead of being overwhelmed by the options, Vida helped break down the entire journey and was patient with my decision making. In previous experiences I felt rushed and confused by orthodontists. At CDC the process helped me feel confident that the team work hard to create teeth tailored for you. The big fear is always cost. At CDC the team are there to help you find the best plan for you. This can often be the deal breaker and the fear of what that cost will be can mean as patients we neglect our oral hygiene and corrective surgery. Since having corrective treatment my confidence has increased significantly. After having 10 years of concealing my smile I am able to connect with the world confidently. I am forever grateful for the team for helping me achieve the perfect result and for your empathy for my long journey. If you’re worried about even visiting an orthodontist but also insecure about your teeth, go have a conversation and see what options you have. Fantastic experience: I first attended with a minor detail issue, which was resolved quickly. The sevice was excellent. The team were very professional. It was easy to engage and to book. The front of house team, helpful and thoughtful. I saw my dentist and the matter was resolved quickly. I have been back for checks and routine work. I see my dentist regularly, the orthodontist and the dental surgeon several times. All have been highly professional and very nice! I find it reassuring that I can go to see my dentist or hygienist and have the support of the team when I need it. I very much appreciate the high level of customer service and care, the consistency and having everything in one location. This is a five-star service, a rare thing these days.

In addition I have had two cosmetic teeth appointments with Dr Vida Kolahi and she is brilliant, she will not let you leave that chair unless she is 100% happy! Negative experience: Still have tartar on my teeth after paying £85 for a scale and polish here **BEWARE**. I was misled regarding their fees. I was advised by phone the cost was £85 for a dental check up and scale and polish. When I attended the appointment I was told to pay a further £92!! They were not clear regarding their fees and this left me out of pocket when I am on maternity leave. I explained I had a 3 week stay in hospital and due to this was not able to brush my teeth every day (before this I had regular hygiene visits and brush and floss daily) and I was aware I needed a scale and polish but The dentist basically told me my teeth were rotten and that I needed numerous fillings and work amounting to over £1200!!! . I mentioned I wanted a makeover for my teeth I am looking at veneers and this was dismissed as I was told my teeth are too bad for that and I was made to feel like rubbish on the floor it was an awful experience. Very upsetting. To pay a very high price to be made to feel this way is unacceptable. If excessive treatment is required the patient should be advised of this in a tactile friendly caring way - the complete opposite happened here. First time I had left newborn baby and I had this horrendous experience with this dental practice. I am shocked and disappointed to be treated with such a lack of empathy. The operations manager wrote to me dismissing my complaint when I requested a refund and blamed me for the entire awful experience! This experience has left me traumatised about visiting another dental practice again. Shocked. Left out of pocket, upset and having to seek another scale and polish right away as the scale and polish I paid £85 for here has resulted in me having tartar still left on my lower teeth as it was a rushed clean!!! Update in response to the owner **The response from the owner clearly demonstrates the lack of empathy you can expect from this dental practice. I was NOT told to have scale and polish treatments I was told by your hygienist to have another clean in 3 months time! Diabolical and I am in the process of taking this much further, to the press, ombudsmen etc I was NOT told by email or phone of the exact costs involved at all. You have used my life circumstances (giving birth and being in hospital for almost 3 weeks after) against me which is very cruel. I did not say I have not brushed my teeth for some time, I said there were days I was not able too due to being in hospital. I brush my teeth twice a day with an electric toothbrush, floss and use mouthwash. You are portraying my teeth to be in an horrific state which is not true. I have sought a second opinion from a dentist and this will be used in my further complaint against this practice. My previous review about another dental practice was due to the fact they would not help me with my receding gums when they were at the early stage if you read the review properly. You are very cruel and unsympathetic.

Fantastic experience: I am beyond happy with the service received in Cathedral Dental Clinic. The staff are very warm, friendly and the very knowledgeable! I was walked through each step of my procedure and take care of every step of the way. Thank you so much! It is really appreciated.

Fantastic experience: Vida is a brilliant dentist, always puts patients at ease, she explains to me the treatment fully, gives me the options available, I always feel she has the latest upto date quality equipment, and her work is always professionally done with kindness, eve with big babies like me, if I had had a dentist like her when I was a child I would never have had concerns visiting the dentist and my teeth would be in much better condition now.

Fantastic experience: Been using this Dentists for a while now and am very happy. They were great all through the Covid lockdown. My dentist there is Vida, she is amazing, always friendly and makes sure she explains everything to me. The team who look after me at the desk are great too, they are just as friendly and patient with me as Vida is. I don't think I would ever change dentists.... Fantastic experience: When our dentist retired from their practice, both my wife and I needed to find a new dentist. We did our research, talked to our friends and family and Cathedral Dental came out with lots of recommendations. I rang them and explained my predicament and the lovely lady i spoke to on the phone understood, and also understood just how nervous my wife was and said they could look after her. So the day of our appointment came, my wife was very anxious and as we drove up Cathedral Road she was crying, however as soon as she walked into the practice she calmed down. The reception staff were very kind and friendly with beaming smiles and very welcoming. My wife went in first and was actually smiling when she came out of the surgery. I definitely didn't expect that. It was my turn to go in, my dentist was excellent. Did a very thorough, but gentle inspection and told me what i needed and produced a plan for me to take away and read. I was told that i could ring them with any questions when i was ready. To be honest when my dentist retired I was very worried about our future, but i am very glad that i have found my new dentist and just know i will be very happy here. (I’m not suggesting that we are looking forward to our appointment, but my wife is certainly very relaxed about it). Thank you everyone at Cathedral Dental for a real 5 star experience!!!

Fantastic experience: My wife & I moved to Cardiff five years ago and joined this clinic based on a recomendation. We have never been more impressed with the care and treatment we have received. Both of us have received several treatment including implants and fillings over the years. But today I got my braces removed and I can't be happier with the results, big thanks to Dr Kolahi and her team for the amazing work. We can't recommend this clinic enough.

Fantastic experience: Another wonderful visit to Vida and her team. I have been a patient at the Clinic for 4+ years and the service and quality of equipment is always fantastic. I always feel at ease talking to Vida about my dental requirements. 100% recommend CDC to anybody. Looking forward to my return visit in the coming weeks.

Negative experience: Me and my partner were customers here for five years and spent thousands of pounds over that time. We never made a single complaint during that period and were generally happy, even if at times the service seemed expensive (especially given the cheap furniture in the reception area).

The one time I had an issue - a hygiene clean that was violent (not robust), I asked not to see the hygienist again (whom I’d never seen before until this particular visit). I was then called by the “Operations Manager”, who had followed up as to why I had made the complaint. Reading some of these reviews I am pleased to see that the abrasive nature of this individual is consistent with my own experience. After explaining what happened, I was basically told I must be wrong and that the hygienist who saw me is qualified to carry out the work (you’d hope!). After some back and forth (mainly him interrupting me) he eventually offered to have me come back and see someone else from the team; this isn’t something I was comfortable with given what had played out and wanted to think about it. So he hung the phone up. Most immature for a director of the company. I called back to ensure a refund had been processed and the same rude gentleman reappeared (the receptionist redirected my call; thank you for that...). He wanted to have another row about my complaint - which he was taking so seriously he kept calling me by the wrong name! I found this chap to be very condescending, rude and a bit of a bully (similar to reviews I’m reading now). I don’t agree that the customer is always right, but when it’s a five year period, thousands spent, and not a single complaint made previously by said customer, then you’d have to say that customer may have a case. Unfortunately he felt I didn’t. No problem, because the customer is always king, and I will be visiting a better clinic in the near future.

Fantastic experience: I chose this practice after weeks of research. I am currently having almost a full set of implants and I'm feeling HAPPY that things are progressing very nicely. I was a bit worried because I'm 65 and a smoker.... Which is bad I know! But apart from a few extra precautions... I wore nicotine patches for 3 days x twice, I wasn't admonished or made to feel bad! I'm through the worst now. It's going to take a year from start to finish but I'm fine with that because they take the utmost care and their professionalism is beyond doubt. I shall write another review when I'm finished ( around Oct 2022) but I cannot recommend these dentists highly enough. They really are THE BEST!

Negative experience: My wife has had to cancel her appointment today as she if full of cold and would not beable to sit in the seat for over 20 mins, more concerning, was afraid to pass it on to the staff or other patients. We were told that "She can come in" or you will have to pay a £70 cancellation charge. I'm absoloutley astounded by this notion, as myself and my family have been going there for years.

Negative experience: The worse people I have ever come across so so so rude it's beyond taking my disabled mother in ,and I wasn't wearing a mask as I suffer with chronic breathing problems myself and they told me to get. out well let.me tell you stick your dentist wear the sun doesn't shine ,they take your money quick enough thou

Fantastic experience: I wanted a little work done on my teeth as they were uneven in length at the front. The staff couldn't be more helpful, friendly and made me feel at ease when I was there. The work I had done is amazing and it's given me a massive boost in confidence, I feel more comfortable showing my teeth when smiling now (it's a shame we got to wear masks all of the time!) Dr Kolahi is a great dentist and made me feel so calm during the whole procedure and explained everything so thoroughly. A dentists I would recommend to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Cathedral dental clinic... the place to go for all your dentistry needs. I was always nervous of the dentist but the caring , welcoming staff and dental surgeons there took the time to put me at ease. As a result, I completed implant surgery without issue, due to the clinics attention to detail and professionalism. Highly recommend this practice. Huge thumbs up ;-)

Fantastic experience: I had the Invisalign treatment through Cathedral Dental Clinic and all through the process I felt they have my oral health as their top priority and not just offering me the service because of monetary gain. Other local surgeries I had found were more concerned with offering me the most costly package rather than what was right for me so this was very refreshing and they come highly recommended. The treatment took 4 months in total and the results are amazing, I am really pleased.

Fantastic experience: Id like to say a massive thank you to everyone at the Cathedral Dental Clinic. I had previously had a terrible experience at my old dentists some 6 years ago, and this had made me afraid to go to the dentists again. However I recently had alot of pain in my mouth and I booked into the cathedral dental clinic. Best decision I have ever made with regards to my dental needs. Vida and the team have been great, the pain is gone, my teeth have never looked better and all at a fair price. I still cant say I trust other dentists, but I Have complete faith in the Team at Cathedral Dental Clinic.

They explained I needed a night guard and I'm so happy with this choice, it solved lots of my problems. Do not hesitate to contact them!
