Negative experience: I thought the staff was freindly although i Have to say I left here disappointed. Had a check up booked .. your lucky if I was in the chair for 5 mins. I knew I had a small hole on one of my teeth and the dentist missed it and said your teeth are fine. I said no it's not fine and had to be reclined back in chair again to show the hole myself. I felt the whole process was rushed from start to finish and no great care was used.

Fantastic experience: Best experience my husband has had at the dentist. Mr Falk was patient, gentle and very good at treating someone who is very anxious at the dentist. His injection skills are top notch as it's the 1st time hubby hasn't felt a thing. Root canal done and two fillings later and he is now happy to go back for his annual check up. Well done Alex and thank you for your patience.

Fantastic experience: Brilliant. Fixed that painful tooth. All friendly staff. I also liked the googles over the eye, and they played some calming music through the process. Before and after treatment I was asked if I had any questions. A great job from the Dentist and Dental nurse. 5 stars easy.

Fantastic experience: I’ve not necessarily had a bad experience at the dentist before but my whole life I’ve never liked going. I’m very anxious about visiting the dentist and even more so when I need work done. I found this dentist after I required an emergency appointment within a week of moving to the area and I’ve been back a few times for some check ups and treatment. I can not recommend this place enough. Alex, who I’ve seen every time I’ve been, is very professional, he takes his time, pays attention to detail, is gentle and explains everything. He reassures me and makes me feel a lot less anxious about visiting the dentist. I don’t think I could go back to another dentist after coming here and I’ve tried a few other ones in Aberdeen and the experience does not come close to this one.

Positive experience: My husband and I had our initial visit to Old Machar Dental just this past week, after having searched for a good dental service for over a year in Aberdeen/Aberdeenshire area. Firstly, their Customer Care / Frontline Officer, Alex, is a gem of a guy. Accommodating, explains things very comprehensively, and very patient----if he is a dentist himself, that's it, problem solved. Secondly, the dental practitioner assigned to us, Dr. Kailani, although he knows his subject very well, needs a more lively approach----when visiting a dentist, we need to be comfortable, hence we need a bit of joviality while in our sessions. We're nit-picking here because they're good! We just want them to be the best because they have that potential.

Fantastic experience: This dental practice is absolutely amazing and everyone is so kind, especially Dr. Alex Falk. Alex is a gem and a true gentleman. Alex’s is so gentle, understanding, thoughtful, professional and very competent dentist. Nothing is too much bother for him and he goes out of his way to make you feel relaxed and comfortable to help you. Alex is the best dentist that I have ever had and I’m 66 and have been a patient with them for 8 + years and would not go anywhere else. You feel no pain whatsoever, just a relief to know that you are in very capable, professional hands and have no fear or anxiety whatsoever attending the Old Machar Dental Practice. I would definitely recommend them.

Negative experience: Best to avoid this dentist as the standard of care is no longer there. The web site promotes all the mercury free advertising without telling people that they use mercury fillings. In one room you have a dentist removing the dangerous mercury fillings, while in the next room a dentist is filling people's teeth with dangerous mercury and telling them that they are safe. Pure greed and hypocrisy. I will no longer be recommending them as other mercury free dentist do not offer this double standard.

I'm now at home recovering for my next appointment I very happy and settled with my visit today . 100 % care and attention comes from all the staff and they all support you so well very very satisfied.

Fantastic experience: I haven’t been to the dentist in many years but plucked up the courage to register here after my husband recommended them. I was terrified all day about my appointment but the dentist and nurse were amazing- very calming, reassuring, friendly and welcoming. I had to have a few fillings and a deep clean and to be honest it was fine. I don’t know what I had been worried about. They were fantastic and I would thoroughly recommend them. Hopefully now my fear has been conquered and I will definitely be returning in 6 months time for a check up. Thank you so much for such a positive experience.

Fantastic experience: Can’t say enough good things about Old Machar Dental care. I found them a few years back when I was struggling with dental phobia due to multiple bad experiences I’d had. It also seemed that the anaesthetic used at my NHS dentist never fully numbed me. Initially Verena got me over my fear, with anaesthetic that worked, and a high level of patience and care. I’m now happy to have any kind of treatment again in the know how it will be painless. Alexander has carried on the great experience I get, and it’s a pleasure to see him and the very friendly assistants and reception team each visit. Terrible,rude attitude towards the client from the receptionist and manager Daniela.They remove anyone they don't like from their customer list, citing their Terms & Conditions,which is not currently viewable,as it is not available on their website.Their website doesn’t open to view Terms & Conditions today.Does it make a sense!! Absolutely disappointing,how so bad customer service can be in so expensive clinic!! They didn’t answer on emails straight away,but they should,because some clients looking an emergency appointment,like my friend.Finally they ruined all day and still didn’t give an emergency apointment. There are plenty other nicer,more welcome dental clinics. I understand that everyone has their own opinion,and experience.But unfortunately my friend had bad experience with Oldmachar Dental Care. P.S Everyone please read reviews before attend to the clinic and my friend review isn't only one who completed on receptionist/manager rude customer service. Clinic responded on my review 30 minutes since I left it instead so fast respond on emails! Absolutely unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: Oldmachar Practice feels a bit like a small family with personal service and a small crew of friendly and welcoming staff. Mr Falk is skilled and very thorough and kind in his approach for those who feel anxious. He talks through what he is doing and checks in regularly to see you are ok in longer treatments. I felt relaxed (as much as you can be!) and unhurried with my treatment here. All dental work is done to a very high standard. The photographs to show before and after was a brand new experience for me and really helpful in involving me in my dental plan by seeing issues and treatment. I’d highly recommend this dentist and this practice.
