Fantastic experience: When I say I would donate a kidney if Dr May needed it … I probably would. How she fixed and transformed my teeth I could never describe. Dr May always led with precision, detail and kindness and always made me feel so comfortable in every visit. I cannot thank her enough for how incredible I now feel and look! Honestly if you’re considering going to another dentist… you’re crazy.

Fantastic experience: Dr May is an exceptional doctor and person. During my first appointment she took the time to make a comprehensive assessment of my condition and explained in details the possible treatments. A week later I had my very first wisdom tooth extraction, which she handled very smoothly and professionally. Although I was very nervous for the procedure, she made me feel comfortable and confident that everything would go well and it did go well in fact! I can’t thank her enough! I strongly recommend Dr May and her practice!

In London it can prove difficult to get a prompt appointment at a dentist but I have not had that problem here. I would highly recommend.

Dr May especially has been amazing, when I came in for an emergency she attended to me carefully and with kindness and when I started my Invisalign process she has also been honest and professional staring at the end of it that it’s 97% there rather than 100% and accepted to keep going and requested more aligners until we achieved the 100% result. Rachael is also so wonderful with her big positive energy and smiles. When I have an appointment I tend to book them in the morning, because who doesn’t want to start their day with a full cup of positivity!

Since then i've had a number of appointments to address some ongoing issues that have gotten worse recently. I've seen Naila for hygienist appointments and May for dentistry. They have both been professional and friendly, and they've both produced consistently high quality work. I live in south London but for me it's well worth travelling up to go somewhere i'm comfortable and where I know i'm getting a quality service

Fantastic experience: I went to visit Doctor Nasim with a broken molar. He carried out a thorough examination and advised me of my options in an open and frank manner including pricing. I was given a temporary filling at no additional cost, so that I could weigh the options over the next few weeks and decide what was best for me. I went with a ceramic crown which required 2 visits. The first to remove the remnants of the decayed part of the molar and to take a scan for the crown. The 2nd to fit the crown. Dr. Nasim and his assistant were very efficient in all 3 of our encounters ensuring minimal discomfort and no pain. Very pleased with the outcome of my procedure. The crown fits perfectly and I am delighted that he saved as much of my molar as possible. Highly recommend Dr Nasim and the Team at Open Dental Care.

Fantastic experience: I don't say this lightly: Dr. Nasim is the best dentist I have ever had. He and his staff are incredibly professional and caring. I had several problematic teeth, including a broken tooth with very bad roots, which we just successfully replaced with a top-notch implant. Dr. Nasim did a fantastic job every single time. Thanks to him, I am no longer afraid to go to the dentist. For these reasons, I highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: 5 stars aren’t enough! I have been coming to see Dr May for almost 2 years, super lovely practise that I actually enjoy coming to due to all the lovely staff. I completed my invisalign with Dr May, 6 months on and a few of my friends have opted to go for it as well! I am so happy with my results. Her patience throughout the process to answer my questions and make tweaks to my programme was exemplary, making me feel totally comfortable at all times. So happy my partner and I have moved to open dental care, would recommend to anyone!

Negative experience: I did some fillings less than a year ago with Nasim Mechou. During appointments he was very rushed, and I felt like for the number of fillings we should have had more time during our appointments. He also didn’t use dental dam (to isolate the operative side), and didn’t check the bite after fillings were done. In two of my tooth he didn’t leave space where the filling was done in between the teeth so I couldn’t floss. For my second time I recently went to another dental practice. The other dentist has noticed that there was an overhang in one of the fillings (which was done by Nasim) he had to smooth out during the appointment. There was another filling I had to do at the top of the teeth, but as the dentist started the drilling, he noticed that there was some decay underneath the previous filling that was not visible on the X-Ray. He had to remove the previous filling and additional decay from there. Because this part was under the filling, and only little time has passed after my previous appointment, there was a high chance that it was just some leftover from the previous appointment with Nasim. After I checked that was a filling done by him less than a year ago, so the decay shouldn’t have been formed in such little time, and that part under the filling was completely isolated. I went to the dentist this time because I had some pain in the right side, however I didn’t have to do any fillings as X-Ray looks fine. It may also be due to the fact that Nasim didn’t completely remove the decay there as well and so now it causes the pain. Update: I had to redo my previous fillings as I had some pain, and all of them had some decay underneath (4 fillings). Almost all fillings that I did with Nasim I had to redo.

Fantastic experience: Three years on and getting the Invisilign procedure was definitely the best decision I ever made! Invisilign has transformed my confidence and the treatment from Dr May was faultless. She has exceptionally high standards and is a stickler for the perfect finish. Negative experience: Worst dentist I’ve had. Dr May convinced me to replace perfectly good fillings, rushed the jobs (4 fillings in 1 hour) and caused more problems than I came for. They were not able to fix the issues they introduced after multiple revisits, eventually I had to go to another dentist to replace all the work done here and even do a root canal. Come here for a hygienist visit if you must but DO NOT have restorative treatments

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Open Dental and Dr May for a while now. Initially i started going for Botox in my jaw to stop me grinding my teeth, which was a game changer. More recently i decided to go for Invisalign treatment, as I was unhappy with my smile. Dr May is brilliant. She has an incredible attention to detail, is patient and made the process as easy and painless as possible. I couldn't be happier with the result and cannot recommend her highly enough.

I am a patient who suffers from a phobia of needles and my experience with Dr Nassim was fabulous I didn't feel a single thing, bless his hands!! I, then had root canal, he put me at ease I have high confidence that he has done his very best to save my tooth. I can’t thank him enough! Positive experience: Wonderful practice. Friendly, gentle staff, good availability and generally running on time. Relaxing atmosphere and compassionate practitioners. Great for nervous patients! Only downside is making appointments could be made a bit more efficient. I hadn’t been to the dentist for at least 5 years since moving to London - a delay that was further prolonged by the pandemic - so I was quite nervous about the state of my oral health. Nasim was quick and reassuring and gave me options for making my fillings work more comfortable. Naila the hygienist is just wonderful. Due to my own negligence my first cleaning was horrifically painful but Naila’s gentle demeanour helped keep me calm - she encouraged me and reassured me throughout saying I was doing so well, and kept me updated on how far she was through the process. I never feel judged or shamed by the staff here, just encouraged and supported to improve my habits. Even though I moved out of the area I’ve stayed on with Open Dental Care as I know I can trust them to take care of me! I also appreciate the ceiling TV in the dental room and a choice of music in the hygienist room. Helps distract and relax, makes it even a little spa-like! The only thing I would improve would be I’d love to be able to book appointments instantly online - while the receptionist is generally quick to respond (and very friendly and efficient at the practice also), it’s the only thing about the place that feels a bit outdated having to phone or email.

Fantastic experience: My Invisalign Lite treatment. I contracted Open Dental Care because I was interested in hearing more about Invisalign treatment. Within a few days I have a FaceTime call with Dr May where she explained everything to me that I needed to know about the treatment and answered all the questions I had. I was shortly invited in for an assessment to start my Invisalign journey, I felt well looked after and was confident coming in for checkups. If I ever ran into problems the staff were quick to answer my questions over call/email. I have recently finished my Invisalign treatment which look 4 months and included free whitening. My smile has transformed and I’m confident to smile in photos again. The money & time investment was 100% worth it. I would highly recommend Dr May and the staff at Open Dental Care.

Fantastic experience: I recently went to ‘Open Dental Care’ for 2 things. First, was an emergency as my tooth had an infection which was literally bringing me to tears because of the pain and second was to get a filling completed for another tooth. I must say that both times the experience was wonderful! The staff are amazing and made me feel at home straight away, constantly reassuring me that they would fix the problem of my tooth and make the pain finally stop! That’s exactly what they did and from contacting them for both appointments, to arriving and being treated and cared for, everything was of the highest quality. Every member of staff knows exactly what they’re doing and are extremely efficient in doing it. This starts from the front of house manager, through to the dentist, the hygienist and the dental nurse. All of which provide not only an excellent service but an efficient one also. Within less than an hour of having severe pain, I managed to speak to someone at the practise who helped in explaining everything while on the phone through to actually coming in and seeing someone to help me resolve my issue. This practise truly cares about their customer service and provides the highest quality I’ve experienced. They’re all so friendly and make you feel at home while also making sure you leave satisfied! They know how to deal with everyone from old people to young and from rich people to average people (like myself). Every person gets the same world class service, which starts at the point of telephoning in up until the point of leaving with an after care call. It says a lot that I moved from North London all the way to South London and have kept this team as my the team to look after my teeth and gladly travel the extra miles to seem. They don’t disappoint you or your wallet! An amazing team with amazing work and can’t shout loudly enough about them. Merry Xmas, Open Dental Care!

Negative experience: Called for an appointment and the lady who picks up the phone is very rude. I asked her for a tooth extraction and she said what “makes you think you need a tooth extraction?” Thats not a way to ask someone the reason why i need one. Then secondly told me “your very lucky that i even have an appointment available for you” after saying i want a different day. No attitude to have towards your patients.

Fantastic experience: I had an exceptional service at this exceptional practice. The staff is very friendly always with a smile in their face which is exactly what you need when you are visiting the dentist.They are very well organised, and they will provide all the paperwork needed for you insurance provider. I had several treatments here and am very pleased with the results. As for the premises, they are very clean, and they have taken all the covid-19 measures to ensure your safety. I really liked the fact that they have installed TVs in the ceiling which help you relax and take your mind out of the treatment. I totally recommend this practice

The surgery is very clean, there is a TV on the ceiling in the the dentist's room which is a very nice and calming touch, as well as relaxing music in the hygienist's room. Fantastic experience: The best dental practice I've ever been to. My doctor is May Abdullah, who explains everything well, and each procedure was quick and painless. The clinic is clean and the staff are always smiling and helpful. Naba the receptionist is excellent and gets all of the admin done for me in an efficient manner. If you’re on a CIGNA plan this is the place to be. 5* without a doubt.

Fantastic experience: Nasim is the best dentist I've been to For over 25 years I was sedated every time I had dental treatments. I needed 3 root canal treatments to be redone and replaced ,5 crowns and adding a new venner. Nasim put me at ease straight away. I couldn't believe I could finally have such serious work done with out being sedated. Also , having so much work done and being sedated every time financially or medically speaking was not possible. Nasim gave me s set price and nothing extra was added. I was glad I had chose to go to him . Every time I needed an appointment or X-ray etc the cost didn't rise. We returned many moulds to the lab until I was please with the outcome. It shouldn't have took me so long to write this review. I still have work that must be done and in true professionalism have already received an appointment. I had a follow up appointment with Dr May , having only seen her once previously. I explained that for the first time in my life, I had attended the appointment without any herbal relaxants. I had used theses previously to calm my nerves. Dr May was a lovely dentist who really cared about my final results. I only had a little work left to do & found the treatment unusually relaxing. Not only was she professional and caring but Dr May had a lovely warm personality I left 100% happy and feeling very looked after . I would not use any other dentist after the treatment I recived at open dental care !

Negative experience: I wish I could give no star. Had braces fitted in and the doctor made my teeth uneven and she said would use filling to correct. Paid all upfront and had to change doctor as she didn’t know what she was doing. Lost my money and time. This happens a while ago but just now I had the change to write a review.

Fantastic experience: After a root canal, fillings and teeth whitening I can honestly say fantastic service but even more so the quality of work down on my teeth, phenomenal! After a few horror stories at other dental practices I am definitely never leaving! You are in good hands here.

Very clean dental surgery, exceptionally polite and friendly staff (dentists, dental nurses and receptionist) and efficient, high quality dental work. Fantastic experience: The whole experience was great! I noticed how nicely the practice decided to move from a white, hospital-like, design to a refreshing orange colour, showing how they care and understand their patients. (many suffer from fear of white-coat which is also induced by a white environment) I was first met by the receptionist (Naba), a very cheerful lady, who constantly communicated with me regarding my appointments. Once my intervention was up, the nurse (Mihaela) came to assist and escort me inside the surgery room. I have to say I was very happy to see that she emphasised with me throughout the process and reassured me, that says a lot about their care! The doctor (Nasim) explained the procedures one by one, in detail, making me understand how these would impact me and was very attentive and patient as I was very nervous. The procedure was not an easy one as I had an extraction and realignment, and these are no easy tasks, not to mention the current circumstances with COVID and so on... The overall experience was great and I would highly recommend this practice for their attentiveness, professionalism and care.

Negative experience: Original 5 star post: Straightforward, kind, and efficient!!! Edit: Not great dental work. 2 stars because the hygienist is really good. However actual dental work proved to be bad quality. Under recent review by another dentist who corrected these (a dental professor at UCLA). Had 3 procedures: mended a broken tooth and 2 fillings (on the same tooth). Mended broken tooth: the filling was crooked First filling created a hairline fracture on my tooth. Caused the other half of my tooth to break off somehow. 2nd filling which was to fix the fracture kept bleeding after the procedure. Dentist explained there was a gap in the adhesion and wasn’t properly set in to fit my bite. I would’ve given them another chance but every-time I brought up an issue, the receptionist would brush it off as “white fillings tend to be sensitive” or the dentist would say I was wrong. I don’t believe they honor their 2 week policy call back with issues on their paperwork so I’m very disappointed I’ve wasted money here. Also they pile on charges without notifying you it will be extra cost during procedures (I.e. fluoride).

Fantastic experience: I felt on a high from the moment I telephoned the morning of 27th August and spoke with a friendly, straight forward receptionist, Nabba, until that night, after I had booked to see Naila, the hygienist and had her wonderful, painstaking work of hand scaling my teeth, that afternoon. It is extremely rare that I encounter two people, in any firm, who have such passion for their work, who are also both so friendly and professional! Despite the waiting area and Naila's room looking pristine, Naila wanted to clean the room a little more before I walked in, for the first time! Looking for a good dentist, in Islington or Camden, a couple of years ago, I noticed that Open Dental Care had a considerable number of excellent reviews at 4.8/5 and were award winning. I did not use them earlier, because I had a BUPA business dental plan, through another practice, which I cancelled a short while ago, because my one or two employees were not using the services and it was not economical for me, alone and the practice was expensive. On 27th August, I was really interested in an emergency appointment for my young adult daughter, who's filling had fallen out a couple of days ago, over the Bank Holiday weekend. I was expecting to have to arrange for a consultation with a dentist first, in a week or two's time, in advance of having the treatment for both of us. That turned out not to be the case. My daughter could have gone this afternoon, if she had been free. As for me, Naila, actually went beyond the half an hour, pre-booked session, whether it was because I chatted too much, or whether she kept checking to see whether I was feeling okay and wanted to have a rest from the treatment, or that she really did go the extra furlong around my mouth, or- that was before she offered me any type of music to listen to first! She was right when she said she was trying to give me value for money; she was so persistent at the hand scaling. My teeth have never looked so clean and I must have seen at least 6 hygienists in my life! When it came to pay, I was expecting to be asked for more money, because of the time factor, but I was not. The credit card receipt, from the earlier telephone booking deposit I made, was ready and a number of others, were in a neat pile, on Nabba's desk and the receipt for a final payment was issued quickly. They also, did not ask me to write a review, or put comments in a book, like some do. All in all a great experience and I look forward to meeting Dr May, with my daughter, very soon.

Fantastic experience: I had my teeth cleaned with Dr Naila, she is really good!! Make you comfortable and relax. I am a type of person that can hold pain, but she is really professional and caring, keep asking me if I wanted to take a break, was it ok, and explained what she was doing, which make you feel you are in a good hand! After the treatment, she told me how to properly brush my teeth and what kind of toothbrush that really fit into my mouth! My teeth feels really clean and shiny! The price is reasonable, staff are kind and very nice. I already book another appointment next month for another treatment, And looking forward to it!

Fantastic experience: Open Dental is a totally amazing dental surgery. Used to hate visiting the dentist and avoided it for years and now I cannot get enough of visiting Open Dental! I now have no fear and practically go there skipping and jumping in excitement! Dr May and hygienist Naila are both amazing, patient and highly experienced in their field of work. They both have such a kind and naturally caring nature. They have hands of magic and I never feel any pain or discomfort during or after treatment. They have time to sit with me and give thorough advice on treatments needed and I never feel I'm being rushed out of the door! Love the huge TV on the ceiling, headphones provided and even have a docking station if you wish to listen to your own music! Such a calm and relaxing surgery and I will be a patient for many years to come :-)

Having known the previous owners (Tom and Henriette) I was very keen to get continuity in the great service they had provided. And Nasim and Naila do just that! Conscientious, caring and professional, they are the place to go for great dental care. They’ve taken great care over my teeth and even more my two kids love going there and that’s amazing. They have provided guidance and relevant information to me regarding many types of procedures including whitening and braces for my children. Their standard of service is wonderful and they are very keenly priced, which always helps. I can honestly say that I am a huge fan and will continue to use them for many years to come.

Fantastic experience: Hygienist was very knowledgeable and explained what was going on with my teeth and gums in a clear and friendly manner. She also cleaned my teeth beautifully and her after care suggestions were useful and manageable. Also staff are all very lovely!

Fantastic experience: I was so impressed with the treatment I received from Dr May. She made me feel so comfortable during the whole experience. I was also very impressed with the treatment I received. Dr May recommended what she felt professionally was the best for my features and I am so pleased with the results. I had lip fillers which were totally pain free and perfectly suited to my face. I also received my first Botox session which was amazing and even after 2 days I am happy with the results. Fantastic experience: Best dental experience in my life! Been coming here now for couple of times and seeing Dr. Nassim. He does take his time to explain all the procedures. He explains all the pros and cons of the treatment so that I can make an independent decision. He always takes his time and he is extremely careful when working on my teeth, he just has magical hands. As I work in the city and most of the time I finish quite late, Dr. Nassim is flexible with timing too. I have been to a lot of dental practice and I would say it is very hard to find the right one. Highly recommend to everyone for a modern, comfortable, trustworthy dental office and dentist!

Fantastic experience: Had a sudden extreme pain in my back tooth. Checked with the dentist near my house and being refused to have tooth removed directly. I was referred to hospital, as they said the operation was complex, with previous fillings, there might be cracks and they might not be able to take my whole tooth out. I didn't want to wait as the pain is unbearable, with the trust of surgery ( I had other tooth operation before here), I travelled all the way from other side of London to have the operation. Thank for the kind dentist who kindly and patiently removed the tooth for me on the same day appointment! It was almost one hour long surgery, the dentist was really skilled and removed all the cracked tooth. They were trying to comfort me with encouragement when I was trying to cope with the pain, THANK YOU! I couldn't sleep last night at all, and finally I can relax and sleep. Thank you again for all the help!

Fantastic experience: I had to have fairly extensive work carried out as a result of shying away from the dentist for a number of years - fillings, a crown, a hygienist appointment, as well as my initial examination. I honestly can't rate Open Dental Care highly enough, I was put at ease throughout my treatments and Dr May Abdullah was particularly brilliant. Every stage was explained thoroughly to me and, despite having a lot done, I didn't experience any pain at all, neither during or following the treatments. All of the staff I met were lovely and the practice itself is spotless, very grateful I found Open Dental and I definitely wouldn't go elsewhere.
