Fantastic experience: Outstanding service of the receptionist who assisted me with an urgent appointment. She was very helpful and clearly went above and beyond to ensure we were seen that morning. Upon arrival, her kindness and professionalism were immediate. She greeted us with a warm welcome, handled the check-in efficiently, and even offered us tissues to dry off from the rain, a small, thoughtful detail that meant a lot. We were seen quickly with minimal wait time. The dental staff were also kind and professional, quickly identifying and resolving the issue.

The receptionists are exceptionally friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to fit me in for an appointment when I was in pain. Dr. Ameer Butt and his dental nurse exceeded my expectations—they were both incredibly patient, reassuring, and gentle throughout the procedure. Thanks to their skill and care, the removal of two wisdom teeth was completely painless. I felt well looked after from start to finish and won't be so fearful of my next visit!

Fantastic experience: I visited both surgeries yesterday and today, the first for a check-up and the second for a small procedure. Dr Chris Tremaine did a great job both times. He’s the best dentist ! The receptionist, Janice, at #78 was very helpful and pleasant and managed to fit me in for the 2nd appointment very quickly. Gillian, the practice manager at #2 was very warm, friendly and welcoming. I think this dental practice is great !

Negative experience: been with the dental clinic over 10 years, all good dentist left, with recently dentist no good all, not checking teeth properly, no Xray checking as before, got filling put on wrong teeth, very disappointed, will move to other clinic.

The Receptionists are lovely (one of them even offered me a glass of water when I arrived). I believe she is the new practice manager. The dentist was very nice and thorough. Negative experience: I had a deeply disappointing experience with this practice, which has raised serious concerns about their professionalism and customer service. I feel it is important to share my experience to help others make an informed decision. Before booking my appointment, I called the practice twice to confirm whether the dental treatment I needed was available under NHS services. The receptionist assured me that it was, though she mentioned sometimes they might have to make a private referral. Based on this information, I booked an appointment. However, upon seeing the dentist, I was told that the treatment I required was never available through NHS services. If I had been given accurate information upfront, I would not have booked the appointment, which resulted in a waste of both my time and the dentist's time. Despite this, I was still required to pay the NHS fee for the appointment, which I feel was entirely unnecessary. The receptionist also denied key details of our prior conversations, including that I had specifically asked about the treatment in question and had mentioned consulting another practice. This dismissive and contradictory behaviour made me feel as though I was being treated unfairly and without respect. During one of my phone calls with the receptionist, I could clearly hear background conversations involving other patients. Additionally, when I visited the practice, I observed that calls were being handled using a speakerphone in an open area where others in the waiting room could overhear sensitive patient information. This is highly concerning as it suggests a lack of regard for patient confidentiality and a potential breach of GDPR regulations. Dental practices handle sensitive health data, and it is their responsibility to ensure this information is kept private and secure. I attempted to address these concerns with the practice manager, but they failed to return my call. Worse still, the practice has now stopped answering my calls altogether. This lack of accountability and disregard for patient concerns is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable for a healthcare provider. I would never recommend this place.

Negative experience: 12:45 Appointment 19/03/24: Call from reception one hour prior to appointment, stating that they have to cancel it as there is emergency (they didn't disclose details). I had disagree with this being done with such a short notice and stated that I'm already five min away from clinic. Appointment changed to 12:15, on arrival I was seated but been seen by dentist at 13:00 (didn't see any emergency). Dentist informed me that I have check up booked but at time of me booking I informed that I have extraction (reason for being seen). Dentist didn't asked me whatever I'm in pain at time of examination just informed of possible referral to hospital (never less x ray showed straight roots). I understand why people are flying abroad for their dentist appointment there is a terrible culture of not respecting someone's time and willingness to help person in pain. Further more correspondence from the clinic reception is very unprofessional. I was sent an email in which reception is starting a conversation '' hope life's treating you well!'' which I find very sarcastic after failed appointment and use of exclamation marks in correspondence is completely wrong. Please avoid this clinic as I will in the future.

The receptionists are great; really polite and helpful, they bend over backwards to make fit you in so l you don’t endure too much pain. I love Dr Chris; he's fantastic! The only dentist I know who goes out of his way to make sure the procedure is as pain-free as possible. He’s very gentle, extremely knowledgable and professional. He doesn’t terrorise us with the drill and he’s a genuinely pleasant person. He’s really interested in the welfare of his patients and I can relax in the dentists’ chair knowing that Dr Chris will take care of me and everything will be just fine. Negative experience: I’ve had severe pain for the last week with a potential infected wisdom tooth. Booked to see my dentist here 5 days ago and was given an emergency appointment for today. I have been a patient here for nearly a decade! 45 mins before my appointment whilst on way I get a call from the receptionist and I quote “just to let you know there will be a £55 charge to see the dentist today as you’ve not been here within the last 18 months and we deregistered you’ I was taken back by it and said this is outrageous and told them I won’t be attending as I will not stand for being ripped off. So I ask you this Dulwich dental clinic.. If you bothered reading my notes, you would CLEARLY see that YOU referred me to the Dental clinic at Kings college Hospital as I need to see a endodontist hence why I’ve not been attending , I’ve been seeing said endodontist at the hospital YOU referred me to as per your instructions! and now I’m told I’m deregistered for not coming within 18 months?? And you want 55 pounds? What sort of policy is this? I have now seen for myself as per other reviews that there is a money making incentive here. If this is the case close the NHS shop down and have only the private surgery you own up the road operating. I now need to use 111 service adding extra strain onto there thin services. I’ll be forwarding my complaint onto public health also this is shocking treatment for a patient who’s been there for so many years who has an infection
