Fantastic experience: Absolutely A* service from Smart Smiles Ystrad. I phoned yesterday with an emergency due to an impacted wisdom tooth and was immediately greeted by the friendly receptionist which instantly put me at ease before I even walked through the door. I was promptly seen by Deesha who took an xray and recommended the best course of action would be extraction. I was already nervy about the procedure due to historical issues with another dentist but knew it needed to be done. Deesha put me at ease explaining what would be done, aftercare and general info regarding extraction & the tooth was extracted within 10 mins (5mins max to actually remove the tooth) with ZERO pain or swelling to the area after unlike an extraction I had previously had done elsewhere. I honestly couldn’t thank the team enough for everything they did. Booked straight back in for more work in the coming weeks.

Fantastic experience: Been going here for over a year, felt compelled to leave a review after my appointment today. First time I’ve had a filling in many years and I’m a nervous passenger. Ifrah is a fantastic dentist, didn’t catch the dental nurses name but they are both great at what they do. Highly recommend the private plan to anyone thinking about it. Peace of mind and regular check ups. The practice also sends you reminders via text and email for appointments if you are rubbish at timekeeping like me. Thanks again for today :)

Fantastic experience: Today I had two appointments. One for my 6 months check up with the dentist and another for my quarterly check up with the hygienist. From entering the door to leaving, I was made to feel safe and welcomed. Everyone working at Smart Smiles are very professional. I felt safe in their hands.

My dentist was lovely, and no need for any work as I had x-rays taken at my last appointment which was painless and quick. I saw Chloe the hygienist after who was lovely and gentle. Fantastic experience: Charlotte was very sensitive with me (as a nervous patient) and completely went at my pace - didn't force me to continue with treatment until I was ready. I managed to get two fillings with no injections all thanks to Charlotte - she was fab thank you! Treatment was quick and almost completely painless! Very relieved, and happy with how my appointment went. I highly recommend Smart Smiles, Ystrad Mynach :)

When I got in, they could not have made me feel any more at ease!! Took time to explain everything. I have a treatment plan now and am due to go back next week. I have to mention Michael o'brien too, first class dentist, no pain, relaxed atmosphere, perfect. Just wish i knew the young lady assistants name as she was also amazing. Cannot say enough good things about this place, very happy.

The hygienist provided a thorough cleaning, and my mouth feels super clean and refreshed! Additionally, the customer service from the administration team was outstanding. They took the time to explain various treatment options and offered a smart plan that will be beneficial for my future dental needs. It’s clear that they genuinely care about their patients and go above and beyond to provide excellent service. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, booked an emergency appointment, was seen on the same day due to a fractured tooth, received a temporary filling. Appointment with the dentist to replace this on Monday with a permanent filling. The dentist was friendly, polite and proficient, considering I am not a fan of dentist visits, I would recommend this practice to future patient's.

Negative experience: Not happy put of extraction because of no inr result but was not told to get one. Really pissed me off another days wage lost...

Positive experience: Ifrah was great with me. I’m absolutely awful as a patient with a massive fear. I’m sure she needed a strong coffee after I left. Thank you for being great with me. Only comment I wanted to make is the reception situation. When I entered there were 3 people sat behind the desk. No one glanced up or acknowledged me, which was confusing as I didn’t know whether to take a seat or come up to the desk. Same happened when I finished my treatment. All three sat busy on their computers and I was unsure which one to speak to. As a neurodiverse person I found it difficult.

Fantastic experience: Honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at the Dentist, both the reception staff and Dr Rahman were amazing. I know that they will look after me any time I return ☺️

Fantastic experience: Lovely staff. Very welcoming and understanding. Helped myself and my son who is autistic with dental fear and sensitive gag reflex. Both of us are able to go with no worries and have got better with our gag with the help of the dentists. Charlotte King and her nurses are amazing, kind and all round warming. Wouldn't go anywhere else

My dentist, Michael O'Brian and his dental assistant, were friendly, professional and I felt at ease. A clear plan of my future dental work was made and I felt comfortable and included in this. Thoroughly impressed with reception staff courtesy, efficiency and friendly approach. The general atmosphere of the practice is calm, welcoming and immaculate. No waiting around and dentist carried out full exam, took x-rays, discussed my general health and agreed a forward treatment - he explained everything clearly and was very approachable. Negative experience: Disgusting practice that has gone down hill massively since Phil sold up, they recently signed off a family member due to missing an appointment without any warning letter… that family member has mental health issues and sometimes can't even leave the house because of their condition, you need to be more considerate instead of thinking of the money,!!! With a very arrogant manager..

Fantastic experience: Excellent dentist, I needed to have a dental examination, requested by my DR's surgery, as I have a dread of dentist surgeries, I was very relieved the way the staff treated me with kindness and patience. I booked an emergency private appointment, telephoned at 9am seen the same day. I have little fear in future of retuning to this dentist should the need arise.
