Fantastic experience: Checkup, filling & clean. From start to finish the dental practice was friendly, professional and welcoming. My dentist was so caring, explained every step of what he was doing, asking if I was ok and offered care advice going forward.

Negative experience: The receptionists maybe need better manners. I came in for an appointment and they told me my appointment had changed to a later time and argued with me in front of waiting patients that I had been sent a message to tell me this.Which I hadn't. I showed them my email with the appointment clearly for the time I arrived but they still argued with me that their message had been delivered. I found them very rude speaking down to me . I asked if they had sent the message to the correct number and just answered bluntly yes without checking my number and sighed when I said I couldn't make the later time as I had an appointment. Very unprofessional in my eyes .

Fantastic experience: We visited Richmond Terrace Dental Centre for our daughters’ routine check-ups (ages 6.5 and 2.5), and the experience was excellent. The dentist”Dr.Faizan Shah” was extremely patient, thorough, and made both of our children feel completely comfortable. He took his time examining their teeth and reassured us that everything looked healthy with no cavities. He also advised us to continue brushing twice a day, which was very helpful. Fantastic experience: Last Friday, I had a tooth-colored (white) filling done by Dr. Faizan. My front tooth had a cavity and was discoloured, which didn’t look good at all. Dr. Faizan listened to my concerns carefully and then guided me through different treatment options. My consultation with him was very satisfactory. The filling looks completely natural, you wouldn’t even notice that there was a cavity before. I am extremely happy with my treatment and would give Dr. Faizan 5 stars. I would also like to appreciate Richmond Terrace Dental Centre and their reception staff for being welcoming, professional, and very helpful. Highly recommended!

Negative experience: Bad experience. I always tell them not to call me and to give me appointments via messages. They keep calling during class time, and when I can't answer, they delay the appointment for 5 months and refuse to give me another appointment. deal randomly

Fantastic experience: Excellent customer service and brilliant staff!

Negative experience: The reception staff were extremely unprofessional. A lady from their office called me, and in the middle of our conversation, she hung up while I was still speaking. When I called back to understand what happened, another receptionist answered and repeatedly interrupted me. When I politely asked her not to interrupt, she said they were busy — and then put me on hold without any explanation. I called a third time and requested to speak with the manager. Her response was, “We don’t have one.” When I asked for a manager’s contact information, she only provided a general email address. I honestly couldn’t believe the level of unprofessionalism. It was a truly disappointing experience, and I would not recommend this place.

Negative experience: Phone number doesn’t exist yet it is on website. Last visit was dreadful! Poor customer service and apathetic response when I tried to complain. I have emailed their patient service address however, given other reviews, I don’t have any hope of a positive response April 2022 I was offered an appointment after my last visit. At that visit I was appalled at the lack of customer service throughout and said so. The response by staff was rude indifference. I decided to give another chance as they were a new company and allegedly had, ironically, teething problems. I was offered an appointment in 9 months rather than the 6 months I was used to. I have been notified that this appointment is cancelled with no explanation. I’m unable to contact as they still don’t answer the phone nor do they call back as promised. I’m not sure what one has to do to get good service as some reviewers claim however I am of the opinion that they are unable and/or unwilling to provide good service! If you are thinking of joining the practice don’t! If you are already on their list either leave or push for better service 21/4/22 Despite assuring me that someone would contact me regarding the issue above I have had no communication from the company. It’s evident that poor practice and poor customer service is rife! I repeat my advice to avoid this surgery and find one that actually does a professional job! 09/10/25 I have continued to endure the appalling customer service and the inconsistent treatment because getting another NHS dentist is a task I was unwilling to undertake. Today’s visit was one of the better experiences I’ve had in the treatment room. As always reception staff are surly and lacking in customer service skills. When will this practice improve?

Positive experience: All the staff were lovely, professional and friendly. My dentist was very gentle and explained everything that he was going to do and he was very patient with my need to take small breaks. I love the fact they have a website were you can fill in any forms needed before your visit, update your information and manage your appointments. For me, with Autism & ADHD, phone calls are very stressful, being able to communicate most things through the website and have reminder text messages for my appointments is ideal. The place is clean and the equiptment in the treatment rooms all looks clean, modern and well maintained. Only reason its not got 5 stars is because it is not disabled friendly. The building is old and may even be listed, so i know its not their fault. They have put railings and grab rails were there are any steps and they are willing to treat people in a downstairs room, if they are unable to use stairs. They have tried to make the place as accessable as they can within the limitations they are dealing with, so thats a good thing. However, there does not seem to be any wheelchair access. I found getting up the entrance steps hard even with the rails, so ill be bring my stick next time. I had to go upstairs at one point and ill never do that again, ill tell them it needs to be downstairs, there are a lot of steps and the banister is very low and not very stable, so coming back down the stairs was scary, unsafe and not easy with my conditions. Overall my experience was great, i would recommend them to others which is the best kind of compliment for any business.

Fantastic experience: I visited Dr. Faizaan today for a deep clean. Prior to the appointment, I explained that I was feeling anxious about the procedure due to past experiences at other practices. From the start, Dr. Faizaan made me feel completely at ease, and Laura, who assisted with the procedure, was equally supportive. The staffs are polite,experienced and very friendly .I must mention Dr.Khairy ,a well experienced and down to earth man,helps in all the ways he can. Every time the staffs are helpful to sort an appointment and quite flexible. Even they were able to sort an emergency appointment for my kid when he was in severe tooth ache. Fantastic experience: EDIT: So last week I had an appointment with Mahmoud, who did a fantastic job filling my back tooth, and also a deep clean. He is an asset to the practice, very patient focused. His assistant was efficient, and the receptionist was polite. And I got my £10 appointment deposit back! Not had a proper check up since before Louise(the original dentist) left (pre lockdown). My check ups keep being cancelled. Can't get an emergency appointment told to ring back first thing but it's an answer machine. They are advertising that they are taking new customers but can't even look after the ones they have! If you can afford the cosmetic dentistry then apparently you get a first class service but if you are an NHS patient it's a constant round of cancelled appointments. If you are looking for a dentist I would not recommend this surgery.

Dr. Mahmoud has looked after me and my husband with such professional care and kindness — we always feel in safe hands. Today my daughter was treated here, and although I’ve forgotten the names, the dentist and nurses who looked after her (and previously my son as well) were incredibly patient and gentle, which really helped put the children at ease. Fantastic experience: Having only just found a dentist in these last few months, M Nedzhipoglu has been brilliant with my deep cavity and root canal especially given my experiences in the past with other dental practices. Would highly recommend. Edit: I have been to this dentist for the last 2 years, and it still maintains the highest standards!

Negative experience: Went for my daughters dentist appointment today which I had written in my calendar as 12:50pm. The receptionist called me the day before and confirmed my appointment for 12:50. I arrive today at 12:50 and receptionist tells me im 5mins late. Appointment was at 12:45pm and I wont get seen at all now. I tried to explain that the appointment was confirmed the day before and also apparently they sent emails and text messages to confirm the appointment yet I dont have a single piece of communication from them apart from the call the day before. It was made out like I was lying about the time given to me with no possibility that the receptionist that rang me was wrong instead. We have previously had multiple situations where the other recrptionist in question has either been rude or not good at her job at all. These past reviews are also evidence of that. The receptionist completely disregarded that I moved around childcare, took time off work, adjusted my daughters routine and got to my appointment according to the time confirmed to me, all for them to cancel my whole appointment for being a few minutes late.?! Realistically how long would it take to check my 1 year olds teeth? Every time, me or any family member has had an appointment, its acceptable for us to wait 10/15mins over our appointment time cause they are busy, but when we are a few minutes late they can cancel our appointment and make us wait another 6 months. The managers at this place need to do serious training for the reception staff to me alot more helpful and considerate. So many reviews complain about the same point yet no change has been seen since the 1st day I went there.

Negative experience: Have always been happy here until today when without any prior warning i was told i needed to pay a £10 deposit to book my next appointment for treatment i need. "Sorry its company policy" is all you will get from the miserable receptionist. Never missed an appointment yet, why should i be penalised for those that do? Wouldn't have been so bad if there was some warning in the constant reminders and phone calls they send prior to your appointment so you know to bring some kind of payment with you

Negative experience: THIS WAS ONE OF THE MOST FRUSTRATING AND UPSETTING EXPERIENCE IV'E HAD AT A DENTAL PRACTICE. I ARRIVED FIVE MINUTES LATE FOR MY APPOINTMENT, BUT BOTH RECEPTIONIST WERE ON THE PHONE. I STOOD THERE AND WAITED FOR ANOTHER FOUR MINUTES. WHILE ONE OF THEM - ZAINAB - FINISHED HER CALL. ONCE SHE FINALLY SPOKE TO ME, I WAS TOLD I WAS NINE MINUTES LATE AND MY APPOINTMENT WAS CANCELLED - EVEN THOUGH THE DELAY WAS CAUSED BY THEIR OWN LACK OF AVAILABILITY AT THE DESK, BECAUSE THEY WERE TO BUSY ON THE PHONE TO ACKNOWLEDGE ME. I EXPLAINED THE TIMING. BUT SHE DISMISSED ME AND EVEN LIED ABOUT HOW LONG SHE WAS ON THE PHONE. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, THE PRACTICE HAD ALREADY CANCELLED THIS APPOINTMENT BEFOIRE, AND I HAD WAITED THREE MONTHS TO BE SEEN. I ALSO NEEDED A PRESCRIPTION ONLY TOOTHPASTE URGENTLY AS I WAS IN PAIN, I HAD RUN OUT AND TO MANAGE A GUM CONDITION, WHICH THE DENTIST REFUSED TO ISSUE WITHOUT THE APPOINTMENT - THE SAME ONE THEY HAD JUST DENIED ME. WHEN I EXPRESSED FRUSTRATION - UNDERSTANABLY, I TRIED TO EXPLAIN HOW UNFAIR THE SITUATION WAS, THE RECEPTIONIST ZAINAB, WAS COMPLETELY LACKING OF EMPATHY. RATHER THAN LISTENING OR TRYING TO UNDERSTAND, SHE KEPT CUTTING ME OFF AND SAYING" DONT SHOUT AT ME" REPEATEDLY - EVEN THOUGH I WAS NOT SHOUTING, JUST JUSTIFIABLY UPSET I SUFFER FROM DEPRESSION AND ANXIETY.AND THE WAY I WAS SPOKEN TO MADE ME FEEL HUMILIATEDAND COMPLETELY DISMISSED. HER TONE, MANNER RUDE, AND DISMISSIVE ATTITUDE ONLY MADE AN ALREADY BAD SITUATION WORSE. EVENTUALLY SHE REFUSED TO HELP AND WALKED AWAY, SAYING HER COLLEAGUE WOULD DEAL WITH ME. HER ATTITUDE WAS RUDE UNPROFESSIONAL, CONDESCENDING AND COMPLETELY LACKING IN COMPASSION. NOW I'M LEFT WITHOUT THE TREATMENT I NEED AND I HAVE TO WAIT EVEN LONGER. I'VE HAD A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE AND I'M VERY UNHAPPY WITH HOW I WAS TREATED. I LEFT FEELING ANGRY, IGNORED AND DEEPLY DISAPPOINTED. WHAT'S WORSE IS THAT I'VE NOW SEEN SEVERAL OTHER REVIEWS OF PATIENTS COMPLAINING ABOUT ZAINAB'S RUDE AND DISMISSIVE BEHAVIOUR. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THE PRACTICE CONTINUES TO IGNORE THIS PATTERN AND TAKE NO ACTION. PATIENTS DESERVE TO BE TREATED WITH RESPECT AND BASIC DECENCY, ESPECIALLY WHEN DELAYS ARE NOT THEIR FAULT AND THEY'RE IN DISCOMFORT OR NEED CARE. THIS KIND OF TREATMENT IS UNACCEPTABLE.. APPALLING SERVICE. I SINCERELY HOPE THE PRACTICE REVIEWS HOW IT HANDLES SITUATIONS LIKE THIS AND TRAIN STAFF TO DEAL WITH PATIENTS IN A MORE COMPASSIONATE, KINDNESS AND PROFESSIONAL MANNER.

Negative experience: Too busy making TikTok content rather than actually see patients. Emergency appointment has been impossible to book. Not sure how all of them have been nabbed considering the phone cuts off itself from opening time. Considering how long I've been a patient here you'd think there'd be a higher level of care. But got told nothing I can do for my unbearable tooth pain except wait 3 days. Ridiculous.

Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional and disorganized. I booked an appointment for my daughter in January and was given a date in March. Now, they’ve called to cancel it, stating no dentist will be available, and have rescheduled it for June—a six-month wait for essential care. On top of that, the receptionist was rude and dismissive. Poor communication and lack of accountability make this the worst dental practice in Blackburn.

Negative experience: Been in pain since October, have to wait untill jan for an appointment. My first appointment they rang and cancelled and wanted me to wait a few more months, told them I can't im.in pain so gave me an appointment for February, went to the appointment didn't do anything but made me another appointment for April. Don't know ther head from the backside. They don't write appointments down, they do not send them to your contact details either, you have to remember it till you get home to write it down. They ask you to fill forms in online but when you get there you have to fill them back out on paper, defeats the object of them constant ringing to fill them in online before we go. The receptionist are very poorly trained its like sitting with a bunch of 10year old girls.

Negative experience: Absolute abomination of a dentist. Missed 3 appointments in 18 months. 2 of those were due to my appointment moved and not being made aware of clearly. Has a white filling that needed to be fixed and the dentist completely messed it up and left in agonising pain since September. Finally get an appointment and get again they’ve moved my appointment so to be missed. The review isn’t just for this situation but the dentist are rude and stuck up as are the nurses and reception staff. The worst in Blackburn

Negative experience: This dental practice has a very very rude receptionist by the name of Zainab who has no due respect on how to treat patients. She literally talks in a very condescending manner and should be ashamed herself on how she treats others. On the NHS you get treated like a 3rd class citizen at this practice and they don’t want to know you ,however, they come running after you if you are paying privately for treatment. Avoid at all costs!

Negative experience: Not impressed at all. Dentist not booking sufficient time and keep calling you back for further appointments pretending they'll do treatment then. Defeats the purpose when you are in pain and need immediate attention. Had 2 fillings fall out straight away with dentist making excuses that its in an awkward place. Any further issues and i'll be taking this further to the GDC as its not acceptable.

Negative experience: All staff are rude and incompetent. Not just one ALL staff members. Don’t know left from right and don’t know how to properly run a practice. Cant even fill out request forms as they should be. Disgraceful service. Can’t comment on the treatment as I never got round to recieving any but I’m sure I’d of had a comment for that as on my initial appointment the assistant constantly asked the practitioner to repeat what she said. Avoid at all costs unless you are okay with being spoken down to by girls who can’t even blend their makeup properly or make an effort for work in a job they’ve clearly recieved little or no training in.

Positive experience: Booked urgent dental appointment. Seen within few hours by another dentist as my dentist was not available. Temporary measures put into place and recommendations given, once I see my dentist and see what their recommendation is. In comparison to my usual dentist. this dentist was quite abrupt but maybe that’s his usual demeanour.

Negative experience: I have never experienced a worst dental practice in my life. Truly shocking. My wife had a filling done and was in immense pain and weren't willing to sort until the person who did the work, which was 3 days after. Lying saying my wife wanted the job doing, which she didn't. Avoid at all cost or be prepared for a truly painful journey and experience.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible service. Rude receptionist. Been on hold for 50 minutes on the phone and been caller number 1 the entire time. Absolute joke just want to amend an appointment. Receptionists need sacking

Fantastic experience: Great experience with this dentist, I'm a new patient with them, and they've been nothing but polite and so helpful in regards to my treatments and so straight forward with what I need and what's the best course of action, just had a filling with them today and a scale and polish and they where brilliant, always checking to see if I was okay and was comfortable throughout, absolutely fantastic.

Fantastic experience: Wow I am in love with my new teeth! I can’t recommend dr Amr enough. And the staff were absolutely amazing! They really have the nicest souls working there. I got composite binding with whitening, it has given me a lot of confidence, I feel I can smile again!

Positive experience: I've been coming here all my life, and was always quite happy with the service I received. I don't know what's happened to this dentist, but I went in for my usual check up and the service was appalling. Place looked real bare and run down, the dentist who didn't even say hello gave me maybe a minute of their time. Didn't clean my teeth properly at all, didn't scale and polish which they had always done on previous check ups. Edit: Major improvement has been made recently, and I'm satisfied with the service received. See Dr temraz over the others if possible, I get the impression he's more experienced than some of the other staff.

Negative experience: Just rang this dentist to enquire about their plans. And before i even spoke the receptionist on the phone put words in my mouth saying abruptly 'NO WE ARE NOT ACCEPTING NHS PATIENTS!!! AND WE NEED TO REMOVE IT FROM THE LIST and she kept sighing.. I was just going to enquire about what they got in place in terms of treatment plans. But because of the ladys attitude put me off to even go ahead. Absolutely no manners. Bad customer service!!!!! Discusting behaviour. Makes you think what the overall practice will be like!!!!! If you want to be spoken to rudely then go ahead book here!

Negative experience: VERY DISAPPOINTED! They filling my teeth but after one year the filling has been broken. when I visited again for £50 charge they said I have to do again by full charge. So I wasted my money which was about £500.
