Fantastic experience: Excellent service

Negative experience: What is happening to this practice? It used to be good and receptionists used to be kind. I was 20 minutes on the phone trying to book an appointment for a broken crown, I was hung up to and when I phoned again an automated voicemail said they had gone to lunch. I keep calling and nobody replies. Last time I was there the receptionist was abrupt and clearly unhappy about being there. It is a shame because the surgeon is great and he did an amazing job with me but this drop in customer service it is making me thinking of switching to another practice to be honest.

Negative experience: I would give 0 stars if I could. I understand that the practice has a deposit and cancellation policy, and I fully accept that. However, due to a very specific and unavoidable circumstance, I was disappointed by how my situation was handled. The receptionist I spoke to on the phone showed no understanding or empathy and was quite abrupt, immediately stating that nothing could be done. I followed up by email hoping for some compassion or flexibility, but unfortunately received the same response. Policies are important, but a little understanding and kindness would have gone a long way.

Negative experience: Most of the receptionist are kind but there is one in particular who is very rude & disrespectful. I've dealt with alot of unprofessionalism at this dentist to a point I had to switch. A male dentist refused to use the suction tool & told me to swallow my saliva along with dental debris. A female dentist aggressively pulled my lip out of anger because she was unable to take something of my tooth during a procedure.These people are unprofessional and abusive. If u want a great dental experience this is not the spot for you.

Fantastic experience: ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️ I would say for me this is like a Mafia style run dentist. I visited Bradbury Dental Surgery 72 Dalston Ln, London E8 3AH and was seen by Dr Naimah Chowdhury Dentist. Never again. Where shall start? 1) My main concern is that i noticed that the quality of the material used on my visit at Bradbury Dental Surgery to do a setting for me was sub-standard compared to.the previous materials used to do settings i had done with my previous dentists in the past. I do appreciate that the nhs are facing cuts but this is ridiculous low quality of material used by Bradbury Dental Surgery. the material used to my setting by Dr Naimah Chowdhury Dentist used on me had the consistancy of mid set jelly it was soooo sloppy i had some of the setting material around my lips when i checked after in the mirror. I dont know how long i waited for it to set but it felt like experiencing wet cerment to dry. Even Dr Naimah Chowdhury Dentist got impatient and checked to see if it had set - it hadnt and i continued to wait for it to set. OMG what is going on? For me this dentist - Dr Naimah Chowdhury Dentist is cutting corners on the setting materials or Dr Naimah Chowdhury Dentist made a mistake or having a bad day on mixing the setting material consistancy. Either way i am not willing to give Dr Naimah Chowdhury Dentist the benefit of doubt due to other concerns on top of this main concern. 2) Dr Naimah Chowdhury Dentist approach and style in verbal communication is quite pressured in speech and talks quite fast in my opinion. I felt pressured and uncomfortable in a way that i can only compared it to and have experienced in retail settings when a sales person uses the hard and pushy sales tactic. Dr Naimah Chowdhury Dentist gave me unsolited advice when she asked if i drink fizzy drinks. Dr Naimah Chowdhury Dentist advises when i drink fizzy drinks to use a straw to drink fizzy drinks to drink with food or a meal and rinse my mouth with water after drinking the fizzy drink. I felt alot.of fear mongering in her advice and voice and for me it came across as commands and very controlling for me disguised as unsolited advise.i didnt ask for. 3) Dr Naimah Chowdhury Dentist physical approach to her dentistry from my experience is quite heavy handed in touch. I also felt Dr Naimah Chowdhury Dentist check up method was quite erratic in the sense she completed my dental check up and communiated that and there were no concerns and then asked to have a second look at one of my back teeth again. I felt confused. To be honest i didnt known if i was coming or going with Dr Naimah Chowdhury Dentist and she is not for me. i like a dentist who is clear as possible and transparent as possible in communication with mutual Dialogue between patient and dentist. Dr Naimah Chowdhury Dentist didnt meet that criteria for me. Never again.

Fantastic experience: The dentists here are incredibly friendly and highly skilled. I had an emergency, and the entire process—from the explanation to the treatment—was handled excellently. I felt well informed and well cared for throughout. Highly recommend

Negative experience: Wish I could give them 0 stars. I went for tooth whitening and had a painful process to create the moulds. At my next appointment I was then informed that the moulds had been ‘smashed’ and I would have to go through the whole process again. They could have informed me of this via a phone call pre appointment so I didn’t take time out of work to attend a needless appointment. I then found it very difficult to get a refund, I had to email the manager multiple times. They also have a reputation for poor treatment of NHS patients and are known to block patients without their knowledge. Avoid!

Positive experience: Zero complaints about the dentists, but the front desk staff seem notably untrained. They make no attempts to hide that they’d rather be anywhere else but there, half of them have objectively no idea how to do their simple tasks, and they’re very rude.

Fantastic experience: Amazing work from Doctor Shastri. Made a difficult procedure painless and pleasant. Highly recommended. Thank you to all the team. Super friendly as always.

Fantastic experience: First time coming as a new NHS patient and had a great experience. Both lady's on reception were helpful and kind. Dentist and hygienist were also lovely. Nice calm atmosphere inside and it was very clean. After having not the best experiences at other practices in the past I am truly grateful for all staff who helped me have anamazingc visit especially when not being fond of going to the dentist. Thank you again

Negative experience: Made an appointment 25 April for an NHS wisdom tooth extraction, had the appointment, but turned out they booked me for a private consultation rather than requested NHS. When I asked for an update on what was happening with progressing things, they told me they don't do NHS extractions, and if I wanted a referral for NHS it would be a new appointment to start/pay again... After having to make an emergency appointment via NHS for a now infected tooth, a referral was then forwarded the surgery for the NHS referral – this was sent to Homerton Hospital on 19 Sept (which Homerton Hospital have no record of). I feel this is solely setup to funnel "NHS" patients to private as taking approx 6 months to send a referal to Homerton Hospital (my original request) is a disgrace, negligence and disregard for patient's health. Avoid, unless flossing the ca$h for private.

Fantastic experience: Really nice staff, dentist was really friendly and informative, and took time to really speak to me and address my concerns. Very happy after a new NHS London dentist disasters!

Negative experience: Reception staff are particularly rude. It's also expensive!, they also block you if you miss an appointment, even if the reason is they have sent you a reminder for the wrong date! clearly spend all they're money on decor and fancy screens.

Negative experience: Bradbury Dental Surgery used to be fantastic but for the last year it's gone downhill in terms of lack of professionalism and attention, care. Such a shame as the previous dentist was outstanding and really made you feel looked after. Also was given an appointment for 3 weeks time, poor customer service from the receptionist I spoke with. Perhaps it was a one off but this practice used to offer a quality service and so I instantly can feel the difference. I won't be returning.

Fantastic experience: Dr Perera, is wonderful. She is very gentle, patient, professional and understanding. She always makes me feel comfortable and welcome.

Negative experience: I had to change my rating from 5 stars to 1 star. I find my experience with Bradbury Dental Clinic to be quite frustrating and, unfortunately, disappointing. Today, I faced a dental emergency when the stitches from a recent extraction fell out. I called the clinic for an urgent appointment, only to discover I had been removed as an NHS patient. This was due to missing two appointments, which I can't fully recall. It's surprising, considering I received no reminders about them. No texts or emails, unlike the frequent reminders I currently receive to book appointments, which adds a touch of irony to the situation. I was also disappointed that there was no communication about my removal from the patient list. I had been unaware of this until I called for help today. I previously had a root canal last summer at Bradbury. Despite raising concerns about the tooth afterward, I was told they would assist. Yet, when I followed up, I learned the dentist had left the practice, and they couldn't give me any further details. I was also surprised that they refused to provide the dentist's name, citing confidentiality, which seemed unusual. Later, I found out from another dental practice abroad that my root canal had been botched. A fourth canal was missed and led to an infection, which eventually resulted in the need for extraction—the same extraction now requiring attention that I can't get from Bradbury. It's disheartening to feel let down by a place where one seeks care. I hope this review provides insight for those looking for reliable and responsive dental services.

Fantastic experience: Had to find a new dentist as I moved to the area in June 2024. Been twice so far. Very nice dentists and Stevie who runs all the admin stuff is very nice and pretty well organised too, which helps. I highly recommend these guys.

Fantastic experience: Choksi and Zhana are the best!! Despite being a nervous patient with low pain tolerance, they patiently took me through a big old tooth extraction and all the ensuing steps to have an implant. Although it felt like I saw them more than my family over the last year :-) I left them with a new tooth and am happily chomping nuts and carrots. No matter how hesitant you are about a dentist, I urge you to keep your smile and chew whatever you want with Choksi and Zhana's help. Thankyou for helping me confidently smile.

Fantastic experience: I have had two appointments thus far. Very pleasant experiences with staff and Dentist and Nurses being very supportive, friendly and professional. I can't praise too highly the pleasing times I have had so far. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: As a family of four, we've all been under the care of Bradbury Dental since they originally opened their practice at Bradbury Street, think it's nearly a decade now. I unfortunately have rather weak teeth so do see my dentist quite regularly. I've had the whole lot over the years - crowns, root canals and extractions. I have been looked after by three dentists during my time with BD and they have all been equally skilled and professional. Once you find a good dentist, you want to hold onto them with your dear life - bit like you do with a good hair stylist - so it is a very sad day when they move on. Luckily my current dentist Stuart is brilliant - he always takes time to explain the treatment options and associated costs thoroughly and he is also very kind. He recently did a great job with a crown. Another big plus is a professional and pleasant reception staff - they are efficient and always helpful. I happily recommend this practice to other Dalston locals.

Negative experience: I came for an appointment at 2pm and had to knock on the door as it was locked. I was informed that they close between 1pm and 2pm for lunch and that I wouldn't be allowed to sit in the waiting room but rather I'd have to wait outside "for safety reasons". Essentially, it was a roundabout way of saying they don't trust their paying customers, the ones who part with their own money so that these people can even have a salary. Looking for a new dentist after this atrocious and incredibly brain cell-rotting customer service.

Fantastic experience: I will highly recommend Bradbury Dental Surgery to everyone. They put you (your dental health)first before their time and profit. They will make you feel they are there for you and eager to listen. Very relaxed atmosphere. Dr. Naimah Chowdhury was fantastic, her customer service skills makes top dentist. Their clinical advice is all about your good health than making money out of your ignorance.

Fantastic experience: I have just got home after visiting my new dental surgery for emergency extraction. Dr Indi treated me with such care and understanding I will now not go anywhere else! The whole process was painless and fast and most of all he calmed my anxiety and made sure I was feeling OK and fully calm before I left. I'm so sorry, but names are something that never stick in my head but the assistant and receptionist were kind and compassionate and between you all, really made my experience a positive one. I thoroughly recommend this surgery and for anyone going through dental anxiety, these guys are the ones to trust! I can't say it enough but thank you all so much! Will see you again soon, with a lot less fear!

Positive experience: Good dentist, assuming you can somehow manage to get the practice to reply to you. Several of my emails have been left without acknowledgement or replies ( last one since January) The online forms you suppose to get to book yourself or family members in for a visit never arrive and as above - no one replies to emails.

Fantastic experience: At the risk of him getting busier with this review, I want to do so to thank Dr. Puri (Indi), whom I’ve been seeing for a couple of years now. My experience has been nothing but exceptional, certainly more than any previous dentists I’ve seen. He cares and is dedicated to his work when exploring and investigating issues, whilst still taking the time to check if any dental work is necessary before any intervention is required. He also gives great assurance in his technical knowledge and expertise. In my experience he regularly references new innovations in the field that may be applicable. He absolutely provides you with great confidence in your dental health. Highly recommended

Negative experience: Very unprofessional on all levels, if you're NHS patients you get the worst treatment, take into consideration the management or the owner will block you if you missed two appointments without even if give a valid reason.

Negative experience: The receptionist who rang me today was extremely intimidating; constantly raising her voice at me. I was quite frankly shocked, it felt like a scam call based on her tone and total disregard for whatever I was trying to say. I still don't know why she rang me out of the blue as she never bothered to fully explain her reasoning. Please hire people who have basic manners.

Negative experience: I have been a long-standing patient at this surgery, and their service has been satisfactory over the years. The dentists are brilliant, but the staff and management are absolutely appalling. I was recently taken aback when I discovered that they excluded me without any prior communication, even after they sent me a text message encouraging me to book an appointment. The communication post-exclusion has been severely lacking and unacceptable. If you consider registering with them, be cautious about this issue. Also, please be aware that THEY WILL EXPEL YOU WITHOUT WRITTEN COMMUNICATION if you miss two appointments due to circumstances beyond your control.

Fantastic experience: Had emergency extraction with Dr Indriyesha Puri on Friday, who was absolutely brilliant and explained everything as he went. Was so pleased with my experience.

Negative experience: I am very disappointed. I am not a new customer, I am with this dental surgery since 2013. They were very professional, appointments every 6 months for me my husband and daughter. Since they move from Dalston things changed from good to bad. They do not call us for routine appointments, my daughter is badly waiting for an orthodontist 4 years and nothing. Myself with a small cavity they sent me home without treatment and a antibiotic prescription that I couldn’t buy because was not the mg specified, all this because my dentist should go two months in holidays. After those two months no appointment, no care, no call, no nothing. Bad!

Fantastic experience: Lovely and polite staff, and excellent job. I have a bit of trauma from dentists, but Dr. Indi and his assistant was so nice, making the procedure very smooth. Thank you for making me smile!

Fantastic experience: After many bad experiences with dental hygienists in the past, I was so relieved to find a dentist who was willing to carry out a Hygiene Scale and Polish with care and sensitivity. I had explained to Dr Indriyesha Puri that I was an extremely nervous patient, and he was exceptionally kind and gentle. Although I would obviously prefer to have hygiene as part of the routine check-up, as in the old days, I realise that paying for a full hygiene treatment now is probably more thorough and necessary when there is some gum disease. I am looking forward to my next clean and would highly recommend Dr Puri. The reception staff are efficient and usually friendly. I did not have to wait too long to be registered and get an appointment either.

Negative experience: The worst dental and get your money! My hygienist appointment only took 15min and that is me being generous PLUS I over heard that they made a mistake on their booking and doubled booked so they will try to squeeze in the customer between my appointment and the next one. No wonder it only took 15min! And then they made me pay the full amount even though they said it lasts 30min!! No consideration whatsoever

Fantastic experience: I honestly couldn't praise these guys enough. I'm scared of dentists and also have some social issues. They made me feel as at ease as anyone could, reassured me and carried out the work quickly and painlessly. Can't thank them enough! Relief is an understatement!

Fantastic experience: Excellent service, every time. The staff are really polite and helpful when organising a whole family check up and then my follow up treatment. Both Dr Shyam and Joanne were brilliant with my two boys when we all piled into their surgery at the same time, dealing with our chatty ever-curious children with great patience! I have been visiting this dentist for a few years now and have to say that I'm super impressed with the service. Definitely recommended.

Fantastic experience: I have used this dentist a few times and felt the service was impeccable. Professional, understanding, patient and will guide you through the steps. They also donate a plant for you when you complete treatment and pay!

Fantastic experience: DR. Sagar Patel filled a hole in my back tooth. He explained how the procedure would be done, and he did very efficiently causing no pain. Afterwards he explained that if any pain was to appear that I should make contact to re-attend. Considering it was the first time he had done any work on my teeth, I felt very comfortable , and the music playing in the background was turned up on my request. My tooth is now fixed, and I have no problems being a patient of his again. Friendly with very good communication skills, but most importantly good at what he does.

Negative experience: I can give it 0 Terrible service.I had very bad issues with my teeth was broken my real tooth other half till was very loose 3 time try to book appointment receptionist was rude they don’t like to listen.when I called 9 o’clock she told me call tomorrow at 9 o’clock to book emergency appointment,like I called you already at 9 so anyway hardly I booked emergency appointment at next day.Doctor see me they said I can’t take off your tooth because if I took it off I’m not sure if I can . Excuse me you as a doctor you are not sure? I can’t eat my tooth get infected.And I go to book appointment you know what they book me after 1 month I’m in bad pain I can’t eat anything after one month all of my teeth will fell of because of infection.But whooo cares bad dental surgery bad Servise.I’m with bad pain I come home .i called 111 they told me they should Refer me to hospital. But I ask for help this surgery they just ignore me . I’m very very disappointed

Fantastic experience: Recently had treatment with Dr Sagar Patel & Dental Nurse Romana. They talked me through everything and made me feel at ease through a two hour procedure. They also saw my 15 month old son for his first check up after my appointment. Would not hesitate to recommend!

Fantastic experience: I am so frightened of the dentist, I put it off for so many years. Every one at the surgery made me feel at ease. The dentist was top rate and the bridge he did looks so natural. No one has noticed they have just said my teeth look so good. It has made such a difference to me. I thank you so much.

Fantastic experience: Dr Sagar Patel and Tanya took great care to make sure they explained everything and I was comfortable during my procedure. Only just got him as my dentist and will be sticking around. It’s also great that they use photos and show you the X-rays live during the consultation to help you make the right choices for your teeth. Would recommend them highly.

Fantastic experience: Today I had a filling done by Dr Sagar Patel. It was the first dental procedure I've had so I went into it with a bit of apprehension but Dr Patel was really reassuring explaining what he was doing and letting me know how it was going. It was an all round very positive experience and I wont be afraid of any future work needed!

Negative experience: Appalling customer service. Booked an appointment at 9am, which they cancelled without telling me, and then told I could wait around in the rain until 10am. Then, when I was 10 minutes late to my appointment, which I had to rebook for 2.30, due an emergency, they forfeited my deposit and said they didn't need my custom.

Negative experience: It says on their website that they take on NHS patients, but when I called and asked they said they didn't and quickly hung up the phone.

Fantastic experience: I’ve known this practice since they were based in Bradbury Street in Dalston and ever since I’ve become a big fan! I was dealing with several dental issues when I trusted my care to Dr Choksi Hrisith and his team. Very welcoming, supportive, trustworthy and professional. Treatments are cutting edge technology, the team is extremely knowledgeable and the outcome was just fascinating! Prices vary based on the dental work that needs to be done but you’re always kept up-to-date with all the available options in terms of cost, efficiency and desired outcome. Receptionist are very friendly and obliging. Nurses (Jana) are friendly and professional. Just the kind of team that you’d like to look after you when you need it. I cannot recommend enough this practice. I personally believe that they add to Dalston’s value by just being there!

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency appointment with Dr Sagar Patel, as I was in a lot of pain. He treated me with the utmost care and consideration, explaining everything along the way. He gave me all my options and explained each one clearly and without pressure of any kind. I made the decision to have my tooth removed. Dr Patel did not proceed until I was absolutely sure that this was what I wanted. He did the extraction quickly and carefully and I am so grateful. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Having moved from their previous site, Bradbury Dental really have upped the ante with their levels of quality care given. Owing to circumstances I had to change my practitioner to Dr Patel, who has provided excellent care over the past 9 months ranging from standard check ups, to fillings. His attention to detail and care are second to none. And he really goes the extra mile to ensure you’re happy with the dentistry undertaken, for example I wish to get orthodontics and he was able do some research on my behalf to find practices more suited to my needs. Dr Patel and nurse Romana do everything to make you feel at ease and comfortable when in the practice, from point of entry to being sat in the chair. I can happily say I’m a very lucky customer to be registered at Bradbury!

Dr Sagar Patel is the best dentist I have ever had! He is friendly, patient, calm and reassuring in his manner. I have recently had a substantial amount of dentistry done by Dr Sagar Patel and I can honestly say I don’t think I could have been more relaxed with anyone else. Fantastic experience: Dr Sagar Patel is quite simply the best dentist myself and my mum have ever had. We both recently had appointments with him for different treatments and he made us feel comfortable and explained all treatment options in detail and with transparency. We felt very looked after in his care. I've always had a good experience at Bradbury with other dentists too but I highly recommend Sagar and look forward to having future treatments by him going forward.

When they heard it was an emergency they booked an appointment immediately and took care of the procedure with no pain and even gave helpful advice on what to do moving forward. Furthermore, they said that we should come every 3 months for a checkup.
