Negative experience: Disappointing administration. Due to a card machine error or a post-dental work price increase at the time back in early 2025 (amount was paid in advance of treatment), they decided to chase £1.80 despite being an error by the business themselves. Tired of my other half being harassed for this tiny sum and the phone calls since May. Paid today despite not being at fault, card charges, phone calls and voicemails may have already swallowed it up. Seems very petty and lacking in professionalism.

Fantastic experience: We've came to Highbury Dental Care for an appointment to fix my son's tooth (4.5 year old), dentist and assistant were absolutely lovely, using language and techniques to help little man fight his fear. Dentist (I think her name was Danni) was absolutely lovely,caring and professional. Took extra time to make sure everything is cleaned out, making sure on every single step my son is ok with what's happening. We are extremely grateful for your time and patience. Thank you ❤️

Negative experience: I just wanted to provide some feedback really. I’ve been trying to call since October - 21/10, 11/11 and now today 09/12. Call never gets answered and left to ring out for 5 minutes before I give up. I feel you need to revise your communications and maybe provide an option to leave a voicemail at least. Didn’t leave 1 star as I haven’t been able to visit so I can’t judge on anything else but I will give 2 stars for the decor. Such a shame!

Fantastic experience: Just completed my route canal done by Dr Mehdi and to be honest it was so relaxing I fell asleep through it. Felt like a mini spa day. The receptionist were amazing and dealt with myself very professionally. Definitely would recommend to any and everyone.

Fantastic experience: Attended the practice this afternoon for fillings and impressions I saw Dr Mehdi and nurse Angela, the prodecure was quick and painless. I'm normally scared of the dentist and wouldn't come but Mehdi made the whole experience a pleasure. The filling was completed on time and I didn't feel a thing. Thank you so much. Negative experience: Appointment cancelled and no prior notice!!! Receptionist rude and unprofessional!!! This occurs on a repetitive basis!!! Over 60% of my appointments have been cancelled and rescheduled. Usually notice is given, however on this occasion it wasn’t!!! Seems as though they care more about private patients than NHS ones, although will say place looks hugely improved, lovely decor and cleaner!!

Fantastic experience: Great experience at Highbury Vale dentist today for an emergent appointment. Tia (receptionist) was excelling in arranging an appointment within 45 minutes notice due to a cancellation to see my dentist. Great customer service and friendliness delivered and demonstrated. The dentist was also very helpful, took his time and carried out the treatment and procedure efficiently. Very professional service. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: What a wonderful place!!! Firstly the decor is beautiful! The seats are so comfy and relaxing! The receptionist Tia is polite, efficient and so welcoming! I'm usually nervous at the dentist but she put me at ease straight away with her friendliness, what an asset she is to the practice! I saw Syam for my checkup on Monday and for my treatment today. What a lovely man! He explained to me that I have been brushing teeth too harshly and had caused cervical abrasions, no other dentist has told me that and the abrasions have been there for a long time, he recommended a soft toothbrush from now on and today he has filled the abrasions for me assisted by a lovely friendly and competent lady, I am blown away with the result!! I have been so embarrassed by them and thought it was just an age thing and I was stuck with it but Syam has taken away the awful sensitivity I've had for so long and given me my smile back!!! I am so happy and I recommend this fabulous dental practice to you all!!! I'm going to be smiling all day!!! Thank you to you all x Lisa C

And gave me a appointment to get a checkup within 2.5 hours got that done and now getting treatment Friday what a result 10/10 if I could give more stars I would great service all round!

Negative experience: I'm slightly worried of giving this review as checked the past reviews and most all the negative ones are met with blase passiveness with really poor responses and not much caring . So here goes.... 1) Last time before my recent visits I went to this practice about a year and a half ago which the entrance electric sliding doors were broke and you had to push them to open (with slight difficulty!) . 2) So when recently visited THEY WERE STILL THE SAME! .... AND the practice have had a very extensive / expensive looking refit! (Did they go in by the other doors?! lol) 3) Also recently asked to go to the toilets and they had to let me in by trying to 'pick' the push-button door handle that was also broke . Lookedc so unproffesional . 4) Anyways back to my issue....... a)was told I needed a filling by the then dentist which needed another appointment , which I was experiencing some extreme pain during the course . b)After 4 weeks I went to my next appointment was told I would be seen by another dentist as the other dentist had left . c)Thought this was quite unproffesional as I belived I could've at least be sent a message to be notified of this.....anyway.... d) so when I was seen by the new dentist believing I would be seen , after keeping them informed of the extreme pain , WOULD YOU BELIEVE it was only to see me to confirm the prognosis of the last dentist !! couldn't believe what I was hearing e)AND THE BEST PART WAS that I was being asked to pay for this visit!! To which I told them that this was an issue created by themselves and thought I was not eligible to pay for this . ASKED TO SPEAK TO A PRACTICE MANAGER ONLY TO BE TOLD THERE ISN'T ONE?! f) What got me also was constantly telling them of the pain all I got was empty sounding apologies (like the apologies that were mentioned at the beginning! g) So......was given yet another appointment after 10 days ONLY to be told 3 hours before my filling appointment that they hadn't the Bonding Agent to carry out the procedure (Honestly I'm not lying) h) So hopefully next week it will happen!? 5) It's a shame really that this practice is so UNPROFESSIONAL in my opinion 6) They need to get their act together.....as it really looks like a nice practice mainly More about the practice of dental medicine and caring for patients than money in my opinion 7) Please don’t think of sending me your usual following response i.e…. we are sorry you feel this way We are sorry of your experience . We have made changes (this was 2 months ago loll) sorry to hear sorry to see rating ( about 15 times this has been mentioned 8)Can you imagine if there was a zero star rating (I’m scared to think) 9) Will be happy to discuss this

Negative experience: I hate the receptionists there. Rude is an understatement. My 3 year old child is registered with them but because he has never had an appointment they told me they will NOT see him? I will not make an appointment if I don’t need one but today is a day where I would like a dentist to see him. How can he be registered with them but they won’t see him because they aren’t taking any NHS patients. Ridiculous.

Fantastic experience: Very good Dentists. Admin/Reception always polite and helpful. Dr Mehdi is brilliant in our experience. The place is calm and clean. They are fantastic with Autistic patients, which is a big deal because the Dentists can be very difficult sensorially with the noises, lights tastes and touch. Cannot fault Highbury Dental Care. Would like to see more NHS spaces or Denplan in place.

Fantastic experience: After struggling for years to find a dentist that accepts NHS patients for me and my children I finally got an appointment at Highbury vale dental care. This practice has a luxury feel to it and offers a range of cosmetic treatments including teeth whitening and facial aesthetics. The staff are really down to earth and made myself and my children feel very welcome. It was very easy to get an appointment and when I requested additional appointments w they booked in for us later that same week. All round great service :)

Fantastic experience: Visited today, 27/02/25 for a deep clean which was carried out professionally and quickly. It was also pain free. The dentist gave me excellent advice after the procedure which was most welcome. The only slightly negative comment is the music played constantly in the main wait/reception area. It's dreadful (sorry) and for me was more painful than the procedure. On the whole a thumbs up. Most highly recommended.

Negative experience: I have recently removed my five star review of Highbury Dental Care. After many years of being a patient there where I always received first class dental care I noticed a deterioration in this practice starting about three years ago & especially during the last two years, Struggling to get an appointment & a production line like dental experience where I noticed corners being cut. I saw my dentist there a couple of weeks ago & was told they only had one dentist there who worked two days per week with a dental nurse who also managed the reception desk. I was advised to make an appointment for a deep clean & the earliest appointment was after a fourteen week wait. I decided to look elsewhere & booked another appointment with another practice. I cancelled my appointment with Highbury Dental Care & requested in writing a full refund of the £70.70 fee I had to pay in advance. As yet I have not had the courtesy of a reply from Highbury Dental Care regarding this refund. My advice to anyone considering dental treatment would be to give Highbury Dental Care a wide berth & choose another dentist elsewhere. Absolutely a very unprofessional company. It has taken the owner of Highbury Dental Care seven months to respond with a four word reply & still no refund.

Negative experience: Wanted to give me x ray, end of my pregnancy and seemed bewilded when I said she wasn’t allowed. Then changed the price agreed on phone.

Negative experience: I've been coming here for many years. I tend to just do annual checkups as normally I'm told 6 months is not needed. I was due to come back for my annual appointment in December. Got a call a few days beforehand to say my previous dentist has left the business NEARLY A YEAR AGO and had forgotten to inform me and my appointment would need to be re-booked. Next available appointment was JUNE!!!! Terrible management as not transferring patients over in a year is just terrible. They were always late for appointments the last few years too. Last time I went I had to wait for over an hour!

we are sorry for cancelation and the delay in getting you in sooner. There are other options to be seen sooner but for NHS it is longer we are actively working on it to bring it down.
Negative experience: Turned up to book an appointment for a young adult with learning disabilities at 4:50pm, was already shut and watched the woman lock up and leave when it says online it shuts at 5pm! Baring in mind we’d been sent to 3 different dentists for an xray for her and ended up having to go all the way to west bridgeford for it! Try calling them and I get put through to another woman saying the calls been diverted as their ‘busy’ but I’ve just watched her leave the practice! Ridiculous

Negative experience: Absolutely shocking!! I was told by 111 to ring these to be seen as I'm heavily pregnant and got an abscess. Rang up and they point blank refused to see me because I've got a maternity exemption. I'm almost 34 weeks pregnant and they're happy to leave me with an infection which could very easily affect my baby.

Negative experience: This used to be good place, but last week I had new dentist, who did dental cleaning in less than 10 minutes, then did not speak a word to explain or let me feel the effect of cleaning before letting me go. Later, I realised that cleaning wasn't done properly, so I am looking for new dentist now. That was £100 wasted on dental cleaning, I won't even give 0 star.
Your sense of time must be severely limited as you arrived late and was still seen in excess of 20 mins for sure! Sorry but we disagree with your comments! We wish you all the best elsewhere

Fantastic experience: Fantastic and efficient service. I have avoided the dentist for a couple of years but was made to feel very comfortable and calm, lovely receptionist Nathan was very helpful and attentive despite being busy, treatment from Dr Andreas and Nurse Suby fixed my discomfort and both staff were brilliant. Would very much recommend.
