Negative experience: I came to this Dentist to help with my teeth & he took out more teeth than he told me so for this I am giving a very low rate review as this should of not happend there should if been more clarity.

Fantastic experience: Just had my filling replaced by Giovanni, and it was the most seamless experience I’ve ever had at a dental appointment. I didn’t feel a thing and there was 0 discomfort. I also got to see images of what was there before the work which was so helpful and I feel reassured knowing that it’s all been fixed.

Fantastic experience: I’ve used a few dentists but now that I have found this one I will be staying with them. Luke is top class; not only the quality of his work, but also the way he communicates the options and process. I would highly recommend Luke.

Fantastic experience: Had a really good experience getting my first filling with Dr Naik. Been seeing him for years for check ups so instantly felt comfortable. He used laser technology to complete my filling, meaning I had zero mouth injections which was what I was nervous about initially, but even with having no anaesthetic I had a completely pain free, fast experience (couldn’t feel a thing) and the filling is great. Thank you Dr Naik!

Fantastic experience: From the get go; speaking to Penny in the reception team I felt at ease, her recommendation for me to see Luke the dentist was a perfect match due to his professionalism, gentleness & overall knowledge. The hygienist Kristina is fantastic & was extremely thoughtful throughout my visit. Georgia & Sarah hold the upmost professionalism also when dealing with clients face to face. Fantastic experience: Dentistry has come on leaps and bounds over the last few years and I can honestly say that the work I've had done at Smile Orchard has been exemplary. I recently had crowns fitted, and Giovanni, assisted by Monika and Charlotte, made me feel relaxed and comfortable. He carried out the work and I hardly felt a thing. I would highly recommend this practice as one that takes a highly professional approach, with a particular emphasis on client care. I visited Kristina today and I cannot thank her enough for the care she takes when cleaning my teeth, I cannot even feel her doing it, but she is still attentive and kind all the way through. Fantastic experience: Recently completed my treatment plan with the practice and I was initially nervous about the treatment. My dentist Gio has been fantastic and always puts me at ease when doing any treatment. If you’re a nervous patient they really take that into account and make sure you’re comfortable and looked after. The practice is a pleasure to visit and everyone is lovely.

Negative experience: I paid an initial deposit of £1000 and several additional payments for a future procedure and before any work was carried out. A change in circumstances meant I had to cancel the procedure and requested a return of funds. It took me months of emailing to finally get a partial refund when I had to threaten the practice with the consumer rights act, and only then had some success. Emails go unanswered, there is no complaints procedure listed on the practice website, which appears to contrevene dental council guidelines. In my experience, there has been an abject failure in professionalism exhibited by Smile Orchard Dental Practice, despite plenty of opportunity to bring the issue to a satisfactory conclusion. It gives me no pleasure in writing a negative review but I hope this will give people fair warning of what to expect when dealing with this practice

I had to have some initial work done which was expensive but after talking to Koushik, he reassured me and explained the process in full detail. I have complete faith in him and now our whole family attend Smile dental. I am very pleased with the way they treat us and the familiarity felt when any one of us walk in is fantastic. Penny on reception is particularly lovely and she knows us all by first name!

Fantastic experience: I came across this practice as a emergency who called 111, smile were externally accommodating and as I just turned up without any appointment they were beyond kind and got me in, the staff from the lovely ladies on the desk, to my dentist Luke who was extremely kind, he spoke to me at length and talked me though everything and my options and also after care, very caring kind dentist, it's by far the best experience I've ever had at a dentist thank you so much for all the care, help, advice Couldn't recommend enough

Fantastic experience: After cracking a tooth and having an emergency appointment with Dr Pennington through to the extraction and implant surgery with Dr Naik I have received excellent care. My treatment plan was explained fully with different options to suit my budget and the preferred outcome. I have been a patient at this surgery for many years and have always found every staff member to be extremely professional, knowledgeable and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I cannot speak highly enough about Smile Orchard. I have had a lot of issues with my teeth and I am a very nervous patient as well, but Dr Naik and Monika have been absolutely great. They comforted me throughout the various dental interventions and ensured that I felt no pain at all. You can even listen to music or watch Netflix during treatments which is excellent! The staff on reception are extremely friendly as well, and they always do their best to get you an appointment when you need it without having to wait for weeks. All in all, great service!

Fantastic experience: I have been travelling from Hampshire to Bristol for many years to have my dental treatments done with Dr Naik. The service is always excellent and you feel comfortable being there. Dr Naik is an amazing specialist with many years of experience in dental implants and lasers. Even the most complicated treatment is completed by Dr Naik without any pain and no discomfort. Smile Orchard is a stunning practice with great technology and professional staff. Fantastic experience: Hi Smile Orchid Team!!! Firstly, anyone who is considering a new dentist, I would have no hesitation in recommending the outstanding services of Smile Orchid! I’ve seen this practice develop first hand since its inception under Koushik’s outstanding leadership. Let me share my latest experience and you will understand why I feel very lucky to a customer of this practice. Wed 9th, 11:30: I was eating my favourite early morning snack (cheese sandwich!) when all of sudden my 20 yr old crown with post decided to detach itself from my previously treated root canal! As you can imagine, I went into panic mode especially when you hit the Google search button to try and self diagnose why this has happened! Suffice to say, I rapidly got in the car and headed to my saviour's - Smile Orchid! 12:15 I arrived with no prior warning to Smile Orchid reception and presented my lovely tooth to Smile Orchid receptionist, Penny. Fair play to Penny, she recognised that I was seriously worried about my situation an even though Penny was already busy dealing with pre booked appointments, she was OUTSTANDING’ at putting my mind at rest by listening to my concerns and assuring me that the Smile Orchid team are going to help sort this! 12:35: This is why my customer journey gets better because Penny took action and connected with Tonia who co-ordinated and asked Laurie (who is one the many awesome dentist at Smile Orchid) if he could help! Laurie was meant to be enjoying a 30 min lunch break… when Laurie heard of my situation he swiftly cancelled lunch, bright me into his room and got to work! 13:15 Laurie had completed investigations including X-rays and presented options on how we’re going to fix my 20 yr old fractured root canal). Step 1, Laurie created a temp fix by cleaning my root and reinserting my crown to protect my root. Step 2 Laurie provided recommendations and we agreed that the way forward was for an existing root to be removed, new root canal, new post and new crown. Step 3 Laurie escorted me to Sarah (Practice Mgr) and Sarah worked her magic by scheduling dates times for what is a complex procedure which requires specialist skill sets. Dates /times agreed and said procedure booked for Wed 18th!!!! I cannot stress how worried/concerned I was, and it made me realise how I took for granted the simple joy of being able to chew food… I genuinely cannot thank enough the Smile Orchid team for their support and professionalism on this matter. I hope this review helps you to have confidence that Smile Orchid are an outstanding dental practice, I feel very lucky to have them looking after me:) Thanks again to Penny, Sarah, Tonia and Laurie (and of course the wider team)… you really are amazing!

To add I also brought my 6 month old who is exclusively breastfed, and all the staff were so helpful. She didn’t like the noise much so Penny on reception came in and took her to play with for 20 mins whilst Esme and Inaya finished my teeth. Very good communication and patience when i had questions. Receptionist is a dream. Very Disabled friendly. The whole place is step free and has a well paved entrance. They also have Disabled Parking.

Fantastic experience: I have been very conscious about the appearance of my teeth ever since I can remember.. Limiting myself to smile around others and smiling in photographs! As a 33 year old man, the thought of having train track type braces wouldnt really be an option for me really, but After lots of thoughts and research, I discovered the invisalign method, I came across Laurie’s instragam and instantly fell in love with all of the work he had recently done… I got in contact via private message and had a reply that evening.!! I knew straight away after meeting him for the first time I wanted to go ahead with treatment, he then suggested I have composite bonding to improve the upper teeth also, I am SO glad i went ahead with all of the treatment as I have never been happier and cannot believe i didn’t do it sooner..! Now I can smile :) Dr.Laurie is a wizard!!!! Smile orchard dental is a welcoming, friendly practice and I have recommended to all of my friends & family … The receptionists, nurses, hygienists (and of course dr laurie) are just lovely …!! The dental nurse working alongside laurie Called Georgia made me feel comfortable throughout the long appointments and also offered me Headphones to watch a movie on the Tv screens above on the ceilings which are really cool also! Above all else he is a true professional. My children were very nervous about the dentist and he put them at ease. If he ever leaves, I’m following him to his next practise.

Fantastic experience: Really good experience at Smile Orchard in Frenchay. In the past, I've had some unpleasant experiences in a dentist's chair. Consequently, I have neglected my teeth for too long and recognised that I needed some work. My partner's friend recommended Smile Orchard so I went along and had my introduction to the practice with Dr Pennington, who did the most thorough examination of my teeth and gums I have ever had - by some margin. He took necessary x-rays and pictures and spent quite some time probing, measuring and noting down any areas of immediate concern, as well as other areas for later consideration. After the examination we sat and went through all his findings and the various pictures and x-rays with a view to addressing the most critical needs first and building an affordable and comprehensive treatment plan that should lead to much improved dental health. As an engineer, what I particularly liked was the depth of explanation and the evidence based recommendations. That way, I was confident that the advice I was receiving was genuinely the best course of action for my teeth and gums and not the financial needs of the dental business. The environment is very pleasant, the reception from Penny is very friendly and professional which, if like me you are a little anxious, does help to settle your nerves. Penny takes care to ensure I don't leave without my next appointment in place then emails me confirmation. In fact, all the staff I have met seem very happy, friendly and professional which leads me to believe it's a good place to work. I have just returned from my first visit with Esme the hygienist, once again all my questions were answered fully, the work she did was excellent and given with great care for my comfort, she kindly negotiated around a tooth that is work in progress and currently giving me some discomfort. I would not hesitate to recommend Smile Orchard and I'm grateful that it was recommended to me.

Fantastic experience: I contacted the team at Smile Orchard for a painful abscess on my wisdom tooth and was booked in for an emergency appointment the same day. Luke was brilliant and gave me a course of antibiotics to reduce swelling and was very clear about next steps and all the options available to me. Within 5 days I booked in for an extraction with Dr Laurie. The procedure itself was straightforward and despite my apprehension, not painful at all. Dr Laurie was very clear about the procedure beforehand and made me feel at ease throughout. The aftercare has also been brilliant and the team really care about your wellbeing. I can't recommend the Smile Orchard team enough and would consider seeing them again in the future for anything dental related.

Fantastic experience: I'm just back from seeing hygienist Nadia and her colleague, both of whom I've met for the first time today. They were both a pleasure to deal with, treading the line perfectly between professionalism and friendliness. Both made me feel very much at ease and it was definitely the best experience I've had with any hygienist. I also didn't get the "naughty schoolboy" treatment which was refreshing! As I've gone to write this review, I've also found the following review in my drafts from a while back, so apologies for posting this late. I've seen Dr Naik a few times since, and my confidence in his work and ethics have only improved since. The major building work to the practice referred to has also since been completed and the place looks and feels great, with some really nice touches like TV screens in the ceiling to watch whilst you're being worked upon. "I've unfortunately needed more than my fair share of dentistry over the last four years or so, but have been very pleased at least to be in the very capable hands of Dr. Naik - his work is first class, using the latest techniques. I'm a little claustrophobic which becomes apparent when being worked on in the chair, but he is very patient and understanding, working with me to make me at ease. He also gives practical advice. The surgery is also being invested in and looks much nicer inside now than before he took over."

Fantastic experience: I attended the practice for a hygiene appointment, I thought that the service was excellent and I was very impressed by the young lady that carried out my treatment, she was sensitive to my needs, patient and really good at establishing rapport which put me at ease.

Fantastic experience: After moving home I have been unable to get into an NHS Dentist. As with most things it’s never really a priority until it’s a problem. I saw Laurie for an emergency Appointment in a lot of pain. I’m not a fan of the dentists and was quite anxious. Laurie was fantastic. He diagnosed the problem, got me instantly pain free, explained the full procedure and reassured me throughout. It was literally painless in every sense of the word. Considering the procedure, this was by far the best dental experience iv ever had. Thank you again.

Fantastic experience: Having chipped and broken front teeth for a long while, I decided to have composites to try and even them out. I went to Esme who did wonders! My teeth have never looked so good! She built up my cannines as well to even out my smile. The whole process was really pleasant with no injections or pain. For the first time in years I am happy to show my teeth in photos! Thanks Esme!

Fantastic experience: Finally the building work has been completed and what a wonderful environment has been created for patients! I felt very calm and serene waiting for my hygienist appointment. She was so thorough and patient with me and my teeth looked so white afterwards. She also gave me very useful tips on brushing & flossing which I have started using as part of my brushing routine. What a pleasant experience coming to this dental practice. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: Smile orchard are an excellent dentist. I addition to the high standard experience with the usual checkups and care. We have their emergency cover dental plan and in the last year I unfortunately needed to have emergency xrays and treatment. They managed this process really well and took time to explain what was happening and all the costs were covered on the plan.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic service, I have recently relocated from overseas so was unsure of how dental practices work over here. At Smile Orchard this was not the case, the dentist (Laurie) and his assistant (Carla) were very informative, welcoming and really had my best interests in mind. They offered me the best course of action regarding the issues I had with my teeth. They went above and beyond, I will be returning to this practice as soon as possible!

Negative experience: Visited for a first time private check-up back in 2021, due to not being able to see an NHS dentist due to Covid. Although I was impressed by the technology used and staff seemed friendly, I felt repeatedly pressured by the dentist I saw to sign up to the dental plan, book for further treatment and advised I needed a lot of very expensive work done ASAP. I told him several times that I simply could not afford the significant prices he was quoting (several thousand), but he wouldn't accept my answer. He seemed very much more concerned with how much money he could extract from a patient that actually listening to what I was saying and understanding my issues. Would not recommend this practice as a result. Update 2023 - I've since found a new private dentist, and at my first appt (for half the cost I might add) they told me I have no significant issues with my teeth, confirming that the dentist I saw at Smile Orchard was a complete liar and making false claims to try and get money from me. Incredible deceptive practices and I would recommend anyone who can't get in with an NHS dentist and is looking for a private checkup to avoid this place!

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend and relay how incredibly friendly Nadia is. A true professional and at the same time has a very caring & considerate. This was an intense, thorough and very effective procedure and the service that Nadia and her team presented was beyond my expectations. Therefore Nadia Forrester is a Hygienist extraordinaire! Smile Orchard is the BEST in Bristol! Bless 'em!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to Smile Orchard for many years and have always had an excellent experience. In particular, I had an amazing experience visiting today and I saw Luke and Nadia (hope I've spelt your name correctly :-) ). Everyone at Smile Orchard is friendly, approachable, knowledgable and a joy to speak to. The facilities are literally brand-new. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I met Nadia the hygienist at the Frenchay practices yesterday for a routine review and clean up. Wow!! I was very impressed with the professionalism and attention to detail Nadia showed. Nadia was very friendly and made sure I was both comfortable and well informed during our 40 minutes. I am always apprehensive regarding visiting the hygienist but now having met Nadia for the first time, I will not hesitate to visit again in the future. Thanks for using warm water in the teeth jet wash ;-)
