Negative experience: I’m very disappointed with my experience at this dental practice, particularly with Dr. Fozia Aziz. I was only six minutes late for my appointment because I struggled to find parking. I even called the receptionist about 15 minutes before to explain the situation and ask for advice, as the area had permit-only parking. Despite this, when I arrived, I had to wait for almost an hour before being seen. When I finally saw Dr. Aziz, I felt that she was quite dismissive and focused mainly on my lateness rather than the reason behind it. She said she could only see me for five minutes and continued to comment about me being late. I found this attitude very disappointing and unprofessional. Coming from a family of dentists — my father and sister are both dentists in Europe — I know how important empathy and patient care are in this profession. Unfortunately, that was missing in my experience. I will not be returning and would not recommend this practice based on how I was treated.

When new patients join our practice, we provide welcome information including transport and parking details, as well as a request to arrive a few minutes early to complete essential forms before the scheduled appointment time. We understand that parking in the local area can be difficult, and we appreciate that you called ahead to let us know you were delayed.
Our reception team advised that we would do our best to accommodate you if you could arrive within 10 minutes of your appointment. Unfortunately, the delay extended beyond that window, which meant Dr. Aziz had already begun seeing the next patient. Nevertheless, our team ensured you were still seen as soon as possible, which did result in a longer wait than usual.
We’re sorry to hear you felt the interaction was not as empathetic as you expected. Dr. Aziz and the team aim to treat every patient with care and respect, and we regret if this was not reflected in your experience. Time constraints can be particularly challenging within the NHS system, but our goal is always to balance schedule demands with quality care for every patient.

Fantastic experience: Recently moved to the area and can’t recommend this dental practice enough, from the reception team to the dentists and hygienists, everyone at every stage has been efficient, swift to help and quick to answer my questions or concerns. Fantastic experience: Never had an issue with this practice. All staff members from the janitors, orderlies, nurses up to the surgeons have been exceptional. Even when appointment times have been delayed they keep patients fully informed. Reception staff are always very welcoming, and the rate schedule is very reasonable. Couldn't rate them highly enough.

Negative experience: Very incompetent

Negative experience: Avoid like the plague I would rather extract my teeth with a rusty pair of pliers than use this practice again Last year I paid £1,655 for a root canal and crown From day one I was in pain - and despite repeated visits the pain continued(indeed the first crown snapped in half the first time I bit on it) Eventually I ended up in front of the practice principle - who I found rude and aggressive - she took an X Ray and then proceeded to bash all my teeth HARD with the handle of one of her instruments - telling me there was nothing wrong - but that I should spend hundreds of more pounds with them for a mouth guard - for this privilege I was charged another £130/£160 - I can't remember the exact amount Finally I went back to my usual dentist who referred me elsewhere - they found the tooth in such a mess that they referred me to UCLH to have the tooth removed Twelve months of pain - and this practice has washed their hands of the matter - and in fact have not even acknowledged my last email to them over a week ago

We also completely understand your decision to seek a second opinion, especially under the circumstances. Your anger and disappointment are valid, and we are truly sorry that this was your experience.
Please rest assured that we are committed to continuing open and transparent communication with you as we work to resolve this matter. Your health and wellbeing are incredibly important to us, and we are doing everything we can to put things right.

Fantastic experience: Had an appointment with Vikash Patel for root canal treatment. First time I had met him and was nervous about the treatment. I need not have worried. Vikash was very calm, kind and gentle throughout the appointment explaining everything that was going to happen. His approach was excellent and he reassured me no end. Fantastic experience: I have just completed some root canal treatment and had a crown fitted to a front tooth at The Dentist on the Green, Winchmore Hill Dental Practice N21 1HS. The thorough and swift diagnosis by Dr. Fozia (principle dentist) was extremely helpful and encouraging. Dr. Ekpolomo carried out the treatment and the care and attention shown at all stages was outstanding. The whole experience was comfortable, relaxing and reassuring. At the start of the treatment we thought the tooth may need to be extracted. However, with the skill, thoughtfulness, technical know-how and brilliant professionalism of Dr. Fozia’s team, including the wonderful receptionists, the tooth has been saved and is looking great. On average, dental clinics lose 4-6% of their surgery time due to patients not showing up for appointments. This amounts to approximately 250 lost hours annually.
