Fantastic experience: Could not fault the treatment I received today.

Fantastic experience: Emergency appointment requested at 9 am, treatment the same morning and very satisfied with outcome and treatment received.

Negative experience: Writing on behalf of a friend. They sent a complaint back along and never received a response to the complaint - one they were told to raise by another professional after apex told them their sons teeth were all fine, all accounted for and no problems. He is actually missing adult teeth that should have been picked up a long time ago! They also tried continually to make appointments of which were constantly getting cancelled and then they were removed from the list. These are just a couple of the many issues they have had here. Awful dentist! Would absolutely not recommend anyone attend NHS or private!

Fantastic experience: I very rarely leave reviews but for Apex Dental it is absolutely necessary as everyone needs to know how fantastic and how professional a team they really are. My dentist Arjun Patole has been fantastic from the moment I came to the dentist due to pain from my wisdom tooth. I was immediately referred for help with that, which has since been removed and also Arjun quickly spotted that I had a TMJ disorder and had been clenching and grinding my teeth in the night which I was then prescribed a Michigan Splint for. I can honestly say going forward with the splint has literally changed my life! It does take some getting used to but honestly I have no more morning headaches no more jaw pain or tenderness in my face. I would just like to say a big thank you to Arjun and his teams the receptionists are warm and friendly and it feels like a proper family dentist. This place is a credit to the dental profession. Thanks to you all, Alice.

By far the best dentist I’ve been to. I would confidently recommend him to anyone. All other staff were very friendly too and the dental nurse, Lucy, was great.

Fantastic experience: I had kind, empathetic exchanges with receptionists. And we all shared a proper laugh at my particular situation.. Am so hoping they are able to resume full NHS cover as I've been very happy with my care for over 20 years.

Fantastic experience: Visited today. Ellie was very good with her communication and took time to explain what I needed to do to improve my dental hygiene. We are hoping to get my teeth to a point so that I can have implants. Lydia the nurse was very attentive. Overall excellent.

Negative experience: All they care about is money. I do admit I was late for my daughter’s check up appointment because of road closure but they didn’t care. I was offered to wait for almost 2 hours then maybe they would see us. But when I was there on time every time before and had to wait because dentist was running late that’s ok. Waisted time and fuel to get there and be turned down. They obviously only care about money, not their patients. Was told I wouldn’t get a refund for prepayment as I missed appointment which was ridiculous. Not coming back.

Negative experience: Hmm, this review is a difficult review for me because Mr Ivo Vasilev was as usual, outstanding. Showing care, kindness and professionalism. My family & I have been visiting Apex for many many years, and now we are all private patients. I have always received outstanding customer service but sadly not today. Three ladies on reception, not a smile or welcome from any of them. I was presented with an I pad to check myself in.. and I commented “this is very NHS kind of service” to be told that all the GPs etc now do this - again yes a very NHS service” I’m sorry Apex, but if you are going down the private route ( and this round of treatment is costing around £2500) the least you can do is greet me with a smile, make me feel welcome and check me in… if not stick with the NHS. The atmosphere was thick on reception, with one of the receptionist muttering “oh for gods sake”. Clearly an unhappy bunch! I’m sorry if this is a bit of a scathing review but if you want to charge private prices - deliver the service of care required of private practice. I have complete faith in Ivo but I’m actually thinking of switching to another dental practice just for some basic civility.

Fantastic experience: I really appreciate this lovely Locum nhs dentist. The appointment was for my autistic adult son. She was amazing. He was really nervous and she just took the time to explain everything. She’s just amazing and we are lucky to have her, however briefly.

Positive experience: Having had excellent dental service as NHS patient for many years, My NHS dentist left the practice and I was aske to come in to re registered for an appointment on 1St May 2025 surly all of us NHS registered patients should be still on the list and need not to re register So a little disappointed all of registered for NHS treatment at this practice have been ask to book an appointment on 1St May 2025 by phoning which is not being answered

Negative experience: I have been a patient for almost 10 yrs until 18 months ago when they stopped supporting NHS patients. Since then they have sent texts about appointments but don't answer the phone and send emails to book and yet there are no ones available...totally pathetic. Am now happily with another practice.....terrible company since they were bought by Roderick's. Good riddance.

Fantastic experience: No one enjoys going to the dentist, however my recent visit to see Mr Vasilev went very well. He checked around my neck, jaw and glands, appeared thorough and explained everything he was doing. He took X-Rays and applied a fluoride treatment to help reduce / prevent decay. Unfortunately I need a few fillings and he is hoping to do this without giving me any injections, so I may need to add a further review once this has been done!

Negative experience: Canceled my kids dental appointments this summer and have never re booked them. Now it turns out they have let their NHS dentist go off sick and never replaced him. We have no dentist for our family and they havent even told us! Appalling. We've never missed an appointment. Nowhere else to go in the area so now you're forced to pay! I won't pay apex that's for sure.

Negative experience: Have been visiting this dentist for 15+ years and never had a problem until the last year. I've had three consecutive appointments cancelled in a row, with no explanation. After the third and a four month wait, I called to ask what was going on and only now am I told the NHS dentist has allegedly handed in her notice. As a result they say I will be moved to private care. They can stick it. I will not be going anywhere near your practice as clearly you have manufactured a push toward privatisation and left your longstanding clients in the dust. So poor.

Negative experience: Sent out messages saying there was NHS dentist availability only when you called them there wasn't and they tried to set vulnerable people on monthly payment contracts... Anyone/any place who does that is not to be trusted

As they must be the BEST IN THE WEST, Somerset, if not in all of the known world? Seriously, it is a pure pleasure to visit the people at Apex in Street who are really, truly and deeply good, friendly n professional, tis what we wants!? The clinicians n all are mostly women n are very gentle, respectfull n Ace brilliant! (Men are Rare as hen's teeth at Apex Street Dental, yeha! Truly it seems to be). I've been with them for years n years and have not 1 complaint, yes not even one or any other complaints! Rock n Rollon Apex Street Dental Practice n keep lighting up the way 4abright future. Hopefully for loads of long years to come n keep on working towards being more of an NHS practice. It, dose seem lately that the only blokes at ApexSt are the none NHS dentists, n thay seem FAB too ? l'm loving your work, yeha! ❄️️♠️☯️

Fantastic experience: I absolutely hate the Dentist!! But Christine at Apex surgery is so lovely and kind. I had an emergency appointment today and ended up having my wisdom tooth out!!! I was so scared but honestly it was fine. Simple and no horrible numb face!!! No pain, very straight forward Procedure. I was so relived! Fantastic experience: Had my initial checkup today to discuss a treatment plan to get my teeth sorted out with Albertus, he was absolutely lovely and has a great sense of humour, gave me great advice on what we should do and how we should go about doing it. 100% recommend if you are at all nervous or uncomfortable at the dentist The receptionists were absolutely lovely aswell, nice professional experience but also relaxed enough to make you feel comfortable. Fast forward, had my first hygienist appointment and she was lovely, super gentle and gave me breaks when needed ❤️ highly recommend

Such a relief now that Christine is back who’s so patient and really does put you at ease. Hygienists are just lovely. Highly recommend this dentists.

Negative experience: On nhs dentist have been waiting since January to get my tooth sorted, after lot of appointments cancelled managed to get seen and mould made was due to go back only to have appointment cancelled again as shes on long term sick so may eventually get it done or not if she doesnt come back. Not good practice when youve already paid for the service

Negative experience: Terrible dentist, don't go here. Have now had 3 appointments (that were each booked months in advance because their availability is so poor) cancelled by the practice. These are sent about a week before via email, just saying 'we've had to cancel your appointment, please phone to rebook', then you can't get in again for another 4 months. Which they then cancel the same way. If you like your teeth in your head I'd recommend going somewhere else because this place really doesn't care about that

Negative experience: Lucy Wright is my favourite dentist here. Loved her work. Shame she has gone elsewhere now. Apex seems to be having trouble keeping staff. Have seen two different dentists for minor work, with a temporary filling put in months ago. Waiting for an appointment, as the one I had was cancelled. Have need of a dentist soon, but Apex seems to be the only one working with the NHS, in Somerset, well I haven't tried to find another as I am quite satisfied with Apex. *Apex and I have parted company. They ( apparently) still have NHS treatment, but won't let you use it, and use a Bulgarian private dentist who charges you via an insurance plan called 'Practice Plans' at £25 monthly, but one still has to pay a three figure number for a small filling. After 3 rescheduled appointments, even as a paying private user, you shall be kicked off their list. I have left on my own accord, after finding myself in grinding poverty trying to pay these fees. No matter, one doesn't have to stay local for a dentist, so I may well give my old NHS dentist in London a surprise.

Negative experience: This was my second appointment with this dentist who is a replacement for Rebecca who has left. I was not happy the first time but thought I would give her a chance.I had a broken filling on my front tooth so needed to be dealt with,She told me that it was not necessary ..My second appointment was just the same.Did'nt check the left hand side of my mouth.Thought a check up was intended to check each tooth. So in all I am not happy and would like to move to another dentist in this practice.Staff on reception very very helpful..
