Negative experience: My mum has been going for a long time now and never had any bother but until recently her dentist (bunmi) the way my mum was treated was like she was an animal and the way she spoke to her also. My mum has a lot of health problems as it is and only leaves her home for medical or dental treatment. The pain she was left in and when we spoke with the dentist nothing was said or done and just carried on with treatment. Wouldn’t ever recommend that 1 particular dentist but the dental practice itself has always been perfect. It’s a shame some dentists make it a bad review but my mum didn’t deserve the way she was treated!!

Fantastic experience: I recently rang Queen street Dental Centre for an emergency appointment as I had pain from a broken tooth. I was given an appointment to come in later that morning. Due to my own neglect/fear I was told by the Dentist that my tooth could no longer be saved and need to be removed. The Dentist explained everything that he would be doing step by step. I instantly felt as ease. The tooth was extracted and I didn't feel a thing! I'm so grateful to the reception for my appointment and for the Dentist and his great understanding manner. Everyone made my experience a good one

Negative experience: Disgusting behaviour from our dentist. Our dentist (Bunmi) told our 14 year old daughter that she was going to fix her teeth and said " we'll do this so you don't end up like her" meaning her mother who was standing right next to her. This humiliated my wife in front of her daughter. It made my daughter feel ugly and degraded. They are both mortified and humiliated and left there so upset and offended that it's actually hard to believe. It's absolutely despicable behaviour from a supposed professional and I'm flabbergasted by it. I've never in my life felt so hurt by a health care professional. In one sentence she has totally shamed all the women in my family and made them feel horrible. I have a baby with the same condition as my older daughters and wife and this horrible human being has basically said they're all not nice. So a word of warning, if anyone needs a dentist, ask for a different one than her.

Fantastic experience: Receptionist was so nice and very understanding as I had bad toothache, promised me an emergency appointment next day if I phoned early which I did and I got an appointment, on arrival all staff very nice and smiling, very welcoming, dentist explained everything that was wrong and I left feeling a lot better, definitely recommend this place to anybody.

Negative experience: Not happy I am registered at the practice my dentist left you made me an appointment the dentist charged £15 took look in my mouth for 2 minutes said I needed a scale and polish I would have to go private to get any treatment as it has to be authorised by a dentist so you knowingly made me an appointment for no reason you were also going to charge me for an xray luckily I said I did not want an cray unless it was really necessary all this should have been divulged before visit .

Negative experience: Do not use if you can find another dentist elseware. I was registered with them as an NHS patient for two years, appointments cancelled at short notice due to dentist going on holiday. the final straw was, having waited eight months for an appointment it was cancelled, with no replacement appointment offered. i emailed asking for an explanation and to rearrange and was told they had to cancel a raft of appointments to clear a long waiting list and the next available appointment was October 2025, i am told all their dentists are on part time hours and this is the reason for the backlog. I have since registered as a private patient with another practice.

Fantastic experience: Friendly, clean, very efficient and well organised front office and exceptional caring, considerate and careful dentistry. Negative experience: I got 2 teeth removed in October 2021 and the time I have had to wait to get my permanent plate is disgusting was in Friday to be told I will still have to wait u until end of may/June if I went private surprise surprise I would be seen the so much sooner I was in this week as went private my dentist left not my problem I need a tooth removed but wasn’t able to as gave blood condition wasn’t helpful as to what I do next as I don’t have a dentist and my blood condition poor

Negative experience: Had to cancel my last appointment because I had COVID but receptionist said to just come in anyway, to my annoyance which I turned down, and was given another appointment 9 months later. On return was told I needed a filling if I wanted it. When I was given another date for 7 months time I felt this was unsatisfactory but I am well aware of the dental situation. I wonder if that filling will be an extraction then.

Negative experience: Been with this dentist for years, Missed one appointment recently and got told it's a £100 "Fee" for a 45 minute appointment and they Refuse to see me and give me treatment until the amount is paid back in FULL. Absolute Disgrace. They would rather leave there Customers I'm pain then see them while they pay back in a affordable payment plan.

Negative experience: This is my second yearly check up. Why give an 8.30 appointment if the practice is not open. Last year waiting 10 minutes outside before door was opened. This year I was waiting 10 minutes inside when I saw the dentist arrive with her coat on etc. Another 5 minutes before I was called into the room. No apology for being late. Totally unprofessional and i booked an 8.30 appointment for a reason. Did mention to reception and no apology there either.

Fantastic experience: I got an emergency appointment as I was in severe pain with a capped tooth after xrays they saw my roots were twisted so it won't be a normal abstraction they will have to cut my gums to get it out so I got strong antibiotics which really helped and another appointment soon to get the tooth out. I am very happy with the treatment I got and have never had any problems with Queen Street dentist.

Negative experience: Practice has really gone downhill. Me nor my children have a dentist at present for the second time in the last 2 years. Left completely in limbo and I’m told could be next year before a dentist can start meaning my children will have gone Atleast 2 years without seeing a dentist. I had an emergency appointment this week was charged but not made aware what I was being charged for (only checked my tooth and given antibiotics) and no invoice received. I require X-rays and have to go to another dentist in Ellon to get these done as there is no X-ray machine (not ideal for those who don’t have access to transport or disabled or elderly patients). The reception area was recently renovated surly this money would have been better spent to benefit patients for example on or towards an X-ray machine.

Fantastic experience: Only good things to say about all the staff at Queen Street Dental Centre. After experiencing toothache I phoned and was given an appointment quickly. Lovely Grace and her equally lovely dental nurse sorted my problem and I went home pain free and happy. Reception staff couldn't have been nicer and were so helpful. On arrival all covid rules were followed . I was seen promptly and my dentist was lovely !! She and her assistant were a calming influence ( I was gibbering gibber jabber with nerves lol . The treatment and upcoming appointments for what I needed was explained . The overall experience was first class and the premises were spotless ................. For some reason this was not posted . This review was during the dreadful time of covid !!

Positive experience: I’m a very nervous patient and always had a high level of care and understanding. Normally I’ve had sedation by Mr Donaldson (I think that’s his name) because of my fear. But I’ve been told he’s retired and had to be seen by other dentist there now. Which I’m gutted about as he was brilliant. I have been disappointed with my referral to another dentist there that offers sedation. My blood pressure was high because I was so nervous and I accept that but, he said to have sedation I have to give proof from my GP on the day of treatment to show my blood pressure is ok. It’s impossible to get to see a GP on the same day of dental treatment. And after seeing the dentist to talk about sedation I was charged £75 which wasn’t told about. I was just told I would have to pay £150 on the day I have the sedation and treatment if my blood pressure was fine. So because of not being able to see a gp, and not going ahead with sedation and treatment, I had to loose £75 for a 5-10 minute consultation. in all the many years I’ve been seen by Mr. Donaldson not once did I have any problems until now seeing someone else. So I’ve paid £75 for absolutely nothing. I must add thought, I have since had 2 teeth removed and I would highly recommend Anna especially if you are nervous.
