The Dental Studios

Negative experience: I would highly recommend NHS patients to stay clear of this practice. They do have good dentists/hygienists. But, from my experience, they will try to trick you into booking private appointments. For example, one of the recpetion staff members booked me for 2 private cleanings without telling me. It wasn't until it was time to pay the bill that I realised I had been tricked. Money was already tight, so I felt it was very unfair for them to do that. I did raise this issue with the dentist, and she acted like it was nothing. But she did say I have a choice of whether I want to book a private or NHS cleaning. That just proves that they booked me for private cleaning on purpose and for my money. I was also booked for a checkup, plus a cleaning right after. During the checkup, I was told I am due x-rays, and they charged me their private price instead of the NHS price. My jaw dropped. After that, I became extremely suspicious of these guys and had to change dentist a few months later. They should be upfront and honest with their patients. It's not good enough to just have good dentists. Recpetion staff should be honest as well.

Fantastic experience: I had an excellent experience with Dr. Sania. She is a very professional caring and skilled dentist who makes you feel comfortable throughout the treatment. Her gentle approach and attention to detail really stand out.

Fantastic experience: Faiz was fantastic. He carried out my treatment with great care and although the situation with my root canal was more complicated than normal, he did an amazing job and made the whole experience comfortable for me from start to finish.

Honestly has made going to the dentist a complete non issue and could not recommend him more. The team at the dental studios are all super lovely also and very welcoming.

Fantastic experience: One of the best dental surgeries/studios in Glasgow. I can't speak on prices but the staff are great. Very accommodating of people who are afraid and very reassuring. I do not recommend needing this dentist but if you do need a dentist, this is the one I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Steven has been my dentist for years and also the rest of my family. My mother is terrified of the dentist but feels very relaxed and trusts him. I have just been for a scale and polish with Kerry and was dreading it as I have gum disease and always fine this painful. She was very patient and gentle and for the first time I had no pain at all.

Fantastic experience: Been with Bilal for a few years now and he has always made me feel comfortable and done a excellent job every time. Just had my first appointment with Heather the hygienist and she is lovely too!

Fantastic experience: Very happy with my experience here. My dentist is great and the dental hygienist, Keri, is particularly good. The reception staff are very accommodating too. My only small criticism is that one of the reception staff perhaps needs to be careful about what they are saying and suggesting to clients over the phone. I had one recommend Corsodyl to me which is the absolute worst thing to suggest to someone who has had a fair bit of cosmetic dentistry done and can cause significant staining that can be very hard to remove. She was well aware of my cosmetic dentistry so this was shockingly bad guidance. Thankfully, I disregarded this advice and knew better but this poor advice could send somebody down a completely wrong path. Perhaps the management need to have a word about this as advice of this nature should only be being given out from an informed place rather from those who may not necessarily have the relevant training and be in a position to do so. Overall though, I am happy to be a patient at The Dental Studios and can recommend the practice.

Fantastic experience: Fantastic dentist and staff. I'm so comfortable when I'm here. The staff are all so friendly and you feel you are a priority to them. You walk in and they immediately greet you. Been going here for years and overall I haven’t had a problem with my teeth ever since.

Fantastic experience: I started my dental plan here (almost two years ago) with Richard that unfortunately he left the studio, but he did a fantastic job on my teeth. I had an emergency couple weeks ago and the staff were so helpful and they provided to book me an appointment ASAP. Dr. Stephen is so helpful and polite, he solved my emergency in an efficient manner. I’m really satisfied to have found this dental studio, doctors and the staff are really helpful and especially they explain everything clearly. If you’re looking for a dental studios in Glasgow I can’t stop to suggest this one.

I was a new patient for Dr Akram and went to see her for exam knowing I was in pain she did a filling for me the same day to get me out of pain since then I’m happy with my teeth she is a nice dentist would definitely recommend the dental studios and all the dentists in the practice there all sweet. The nurses tanzeela, Subhana, Mahnoor, Suzy and maaree are great and kind.

Fantastic experience: The dental Studios is a very pretty place, very nice staff members who are so nice to talk too. My dentist Dr Bilal is very sweet and jolly he has explained a lot to me regarding my teeth appreciate all the help. He looked forward and asked my dentist in the dental hospital to get to me more which I really liked he’s a great dentist and I would recommend everyone to have him as a dentist who cares a lot about there patient.

Fantastic experience: The dental studios fabulous place very heart warming people always lovely to my kids would recommend it, there nurses subhana, tanzeela, mahnoor and Suzanne are great. Bilal is such a great dentist I was so worried and stressed regarding my daughters teeth but he helped out so much would really recommend him awesome with kids.

Negative experience: I had an appointment , the practice cancelled day before just because refusing to pay deposit, asking for bank details and security codes over the phone , which is not mentioned on the website ,ithese people just milking NHS, tax payer money, also the patients , they are too many all over the country , they make false regulations . This bunch of people should not be allowed to be dentist and receptionist .

Fantastic experience: I've had some issues with my teeth since childhood that Asid and the team have been amazing at helping me sort out. I've needed a couple of root canals and ongoing cosmetic work to cover the previous damage and I couldn't be more happy with my treatment plan and how my teeth are looking and feeling. The treatments themselves have been easy and pain free, which was a nice surprise. That along with how understanding the team has been of my autism, allowing me to wear ear plugs and explaining all steps and plans at every point in my treatment plan, has really helped me get over my fear of going to the dentist and I feel much more confident in maintaining visits and looking after my teeth. Can't thank the team enough for their help in getting my dental health back on track and making it a much more positive experience for me.

The attached picture was him explaining why I had been feeling pain after a recent filling. For the first time i actually understand what my dentist it doing rather than having to just blindly follow their recommendation. Great customer care approach. Keep it up team!

I have never received such attentive care and I could write an entire novel about how grateful I am to have Richard as my dentist. He makes me feel heard, willingly discusses all options in detail, is very gentle with treatment and from what I have witnessed is so respectful and polite to his colleagues, always pleases and thank you's. All the staff are lovely and make you feel so welcome. Couldnt reccomend this practice enough!

Fantastic experience: So happy with the service I received at the dental studios, everything was explained thoroughly beforehand. I felt so at ease during my appointment, I felt like I was left in good hands. The practice itself was very clean and everyone was very welcoming. The treatment was great, I felt comfortable before during and after and Stephen, my dentist, made sure I understood everything before going ahead with it. He calmed me down as I was worried about the health of my gums and teeth but I feel alot better now after speaking to Stephen. I will for sure be happy to come back as he was very professional.

I went there for the first time as I needed a same day appointment for some cosmetic dental treatment while my own dentist had no availability. All went super smooth at The Dental Studios. I received the absolut best dental treatment and service by Dr. Asid Khan that I have ever experienced in 15 years living in the UK. The result exceeded my expectations and also exceeded all previous attempts by my previous dentist studio. The quality of work and attention to detail was outstanding. I am particularly impressed by the use of technology, imaging and optical tools that the dentist used in order to provide precise and excellent work. I can only recommend the practice. Fantastic experience: The practise is modern and immaculately clean, with friendly, helpful staff. Dr. Richard Thurlow-Begg is a superb dentist. Expert and ethical, he patiently advises of NHS and private options, performing his work efficiently and painlessly.

Positive experience: The dentists and hygienist here are lovely, and give really sound advice about dental care. Not pushy to sell anything either. The receptionists are fine if there is no issue but I have to say both myself and my husband have found them unfailingly rude when you have to reschedule or cancel. Neither of us would cancel appointments without a good reason and we both understand the need to charge for cancellations sometimes but it’s the way they deliver the information. First of all - it’s not a ‘fine’ - you have no authority over me, I’m happy to pay a charge, but you can’t ‘fine’ me, I’ve not broken the law. Secondly it’s the manner of telling off, rather than just saying - ‘no problem we can reschedule - sorry you’re sick - but I’m afraid our policy is to charge if you cancel within 24 hours’. That would be better customer service and it wouldn’t sound like I’m being told off like a child. Nobody likes that and I see no reason for the reception staff to speak to anyone that way. They need to work on their customer service and personal manner with customers.

Fantastic experience: Asid is my favourite dentist. I came to the dental studios in 2016 after being at other various dentists. Asid is very thorough and honest in his examinations and genuinely cares for my teeth’s well being. He always goes that little bit extra whenever I am in to see him. I came to Dr Khan after some botched treatment and I’ve never had the need to go elsewhere after that. The clinic is pristine, modern with really nice, friendly staff to look after the patients. When I first attended in December 2021, my teeth were painful and in a bad way. After a consultation from Dr Khan , and careful plan I’m so much better. And delighted with my teeth now.

Amazing people to get composite filling done by. Everyone is so sweet and always there to help.

Negative experience: Very poor service especially doctors from Pakistan .I m registered with them since January 2022 n in these 8 months they gave me only 3 appointments with emergency.I had appointment in dental hospital in morning one day n they advised me Root canal treatment. Same evening I went to these people n he said for this treatment u need to pay £1000 pounds.how easy was that for him £1000 pounds.I asked for time. Last week I went in pain , requested a lot, have swelling on my left eye glands due to all week grinding n he said I cannot even change my mouth guard.gave me again appointment n did nothing at all.today I got my day off Unpaid , unfortunately there was road work n had to change my rout so I became late by 10 minutes, at least they could see me for five minutes (it was 30 minutes appointment)dear doctor not even bothered n asked me to pay 30 pounds for lateness.8 months I m in pain n they r still keep giving me appointments.all about their own money circle.

Fantastic experience: I just want to say a HUGE thank you to Dr Richard and Keri who were fantastic during my last visit a few weeks back. Keri did an amazing job of cleaning my teeth and her banter made me smile and really got me to relax. Dr Richard is gentle and talkative and again just makes you feel like you are in great hands (which you are!) The service at The Dental Studio is always so great. Since moving from Edinburgh where I had a not so great experience at my dental practice this has really left me feeling confident and happy again. I even almost fell asleep during my last procedure (almost!). It's a very busy space but the front of house team does such a great job of juggling all the different personalities and queries that pour through the door while you wait. More power to you team and once more thank you!
