Fantastic experience: I visited Synergy Dental Surgery in Birmingham and had a great experience. Mohammed made me feel completely comfortable and was very informative throughout my treatment. I also had a scale and polish, and was in the capable hands of Tarun and Kaushik, who treated me with real care and professionalism. I would highly recommend this surgery their customer care is excellent.

Negative experience: My wife came to the practise over a month ago, and had composite bonding done, first we were there till 8:30pm when they close at 5pm and was told it would only take 2/3 hours. This was because the dentist had completely messed her teeth up and then she was called back in a few days time with another dentist to fix it which he did but this should not be happening since there price is on par with other and better practises. But this caused the treatment to change and was ment to get refunded in the region of £1500. I have been calling them an I keep getting the same answer it’s been sent to accounts we will call you back but I never receive a call back it’s always me chasing it but when it came to prior the appointment you would recieve 2/3 calls a day asking you to make the payment but when it comes to a refund they’ve taken over a month and nothing has even processed. And there’s blame shifting that it’s been sent to the accounts team but it’s part of the same company so they are still at fault for this too. I would highly not recommend this practise and found this whole journey a nightmare. From messing up with the bonding to dragging out my refund. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I was going to book in mine too in January and had 3/4 of my family members who wanted to get composite bonding done but looks like we won’t be attending here. I have delayed this review so many times and posting this review but I was told on the 24th of Dec I would get a call back and it’s now the 1st and I’ve had no response bare in mind I’ve called 5/6 times prior to the 24th to get this sorted and expecting calls from the practise manager and I’ve had to call every time instead of them and nothing has still been sorted this has been going on from the middle of Nov.

I needed a tooth extraction done the same day, and the team was incredibly helpful and reassuring from start to finish. A special thank you to Mo, who was so responsive and supportive in getting everything arranged quickly. Huge thanks as well to Dr Priyen Shah and the entire team for their professionalism, care, and gentle approach during the extraction. I truly appreciate how smoothly everything was handled during a stressful situation. Highly recommend this clinic for their excellent service and compassionate care.

Fantastic experience: I joined this practice after a number of bad experiences at other surgeries. Dr Shazia Kalsoom, has been amazing in sorting my dental problems. She explains things clearly, is quick to deal with issues and has a great patient manner. If she leaves this practice my family and I will be leaving with her . I highly recommend Dr Kalsoom and would not trust anyone else with my or my family’s health.

Fantastic experience: Checking teeth is hard but they encourage my kids to do it

Negative experience: The good: The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The bad: a year ago I had an emergency appointment from this practice while based at the Summerfield Centre. The Clinician persuaded me to accept care as a private patient saying it would be quicker and cheaper. I was not told at this point this would mean I can never receive NHS care at this practice, which I've just found out today while trying to register. This is highly disappointing and because of this, I would not recommend them.

Fantastic experience: very friendly emma helps me so much for my teeth assisted me all the way through so happy with the service would reccomend this clinic to friend and family thank u for everything emma u was so great . You could give how well they emma explained how comfortable they made you feel during the call so happy and greatful i am thanks for support me all the way through even through my finance emma kept check if it went through call me and mesaging she motivated hygiene produts to buy.

Negative experience: Rude behaviour I have experienced it twice on 15/07/2025 and on 02/09/2025 from same Dentist. I felt disrespected and uncomfortable. which is not what I expect from a professional healthcare setting. Negative experience: We were very upset with our treatment especially me Abed Ali as I was made very embarrassed about the condition of my teeth and furthermore did not feel as the dentist did a very good treatment and still charged us full price for the cleaning which she first refused to do Me and my wife were very upset about our visit to your surgery at this time

Fantastic experience: Booked an appointment at Synergy Dental and I must say, its one of the best services I've recieved. The practice is clean, friendly and the reception and Dental staff are wonderful! Originally had a general check up and discuss options for a broken wisdom tooth. Best option was an extraction and I only had to wait 4 days for an appointment to have it removed. The process was simple and professionally performed by Shazia and another dentist (I cannot remember her name) made me feel comfortable the whole way through and explained that there may be slight discomfort. Thankfully the numbing injection worked wonders and now I'm pain free! Definitely recommend this dentist. Thank you very much Synergy

Fantastic experience: The reception staff are very welcoming, my dentists are exceptional. I have always hated going to the dentist but now not so much. They never rushes me and answers every question with patience and clarity. During treatments theu continually tells me what is happening, asking about my well being and generally putting me at ease. The assistant is also first class. Follow up appointment are always provided and at my convenience. The phone line is always answered and I have been able 2 get appointment straightaway. They remind me about my appointment each time via text mesaage which is really convenient for me as I'm very forgetful. I absolutly recommend this Dental. Dr. Shazia is hands down the best dentist I’ve ever had. Kind, professional, and so good at her job she actually makes me look forward to dental visits — and that’s saying something!

Fantastic experience: Our family experience at synergy dental practice is on point every time. Our experience starts with booking and how flexible the team are. If there are changes they rearrange to suit our family needs. Then on arrival we are always greeted with a smile and profesionalism. Chanelle and the rest of the team are friendly and have a wealth of knowledge and skills. Then we are called through to the dentist and the nursing/support team. They are patient, kind and explain every step of the treatment process. There is no hard sell, always recommendations and good advice and support. The new practice is great. It's clean and inviting; Maybe a TV screen would help whilst waiting letting us know about services on offer or to watch general tv. Parking is more tricky but thats the only downside.

Negative experience: WORSt and the scariest dentist experience in my life. Horrified. Not recommending.. Go at your own risk 1.Was not communicated properly the pricing and the inclusion of brief examination before the treatment. 2. The consent form was shown to me after the procedure was done. WHICH practice does that. 3. Felt totally unsafe, felt like the remnants during the oxyjet procedure will get swallowed and it was all over my clothes. Was not told or reassured on the safety 4. The cleaning was not to standards there is still scale left on my teeth. She had a patient waiting so she just ran after 5-10 min of the procedure that I paid £130. Why giving appointment times to closely where you have run and do procedure in a rush. No common sense 4. The dentist is giving brief basic advice during the procedure as if I am gonna hear her despite the noise and anxiety. The advice should be given after wards but she just had to rush to the next patient next door.

Fantastic experience: I came to get my teeth done, unfortunately I had to come back as the tooth was too big and caused trouble, I came back again and I have to say that Dr Shazia (who has done my teeth last year) took a quick look and knew exactly what to do. She is the best dentist I’ve ever been tho. If you need an appointment please make sure to book with her. 10/10 thanks to Dr Shazia

Fantastic experience: Had the loveliest experience with Dr Resham Qureshi and Sana Razzaq. Usually I am quite hesitant (and fearful) of going to the dentist but they truly make you feel so welcomed and barely felt any pain! Did the OxyGet clean and would definitely be coming back :) thank you both once again!

Negative experience: Paid £100 for Oxyclean - Dentist Abid spent 15 mins doing a scale and polish. I had to tell him I paid £100 for a thorough clean and asked him go over again. I would not recommend at all. Safa the receptionist was rude, mt appointment was delayed by 20 mins and she made no effort to communicate that. Will definitely stick with Dentist at Liberty Practice for proper private dental treatment.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful new premises, very spacious, bright and clean. But, of course that alone doesn't make a good appointment does it. It's the Team that work there. A friendly face with a smile to greet you means a lot and the receptionist here is all that. The Nurse popped into the waiting area to collect us (my husband and I). The Dentist himself was so nice, he put me at ease. I am a nervous patient. Soon the conversation was flowing and the treatment was all done so well. Negative experience: This practice deals with patients by giving them wrong information. They don't treat all new/returning patients equally. I rang them to discuss about being taken on board with the NHS as they were taking patients now just because I was registered private they refused to take me on under NHS whereas they took on board my sister In law who was in the same situation as me under the NHS. Don't trust what they tell you they give you details that aren't even true by giving it their policy name!!

Negative experience: Receptionists did not tell me about having to log my number plate to not have to pay for parking. I was not made aware of the situation of the car park and I have been given a fine. I walked in and it’s as if the staff wanted me to get a ticket. They bombarded me with appointment formalities and not once did they mention the parking situation. Either synergy dental group is working in collaboration with the car park company to increase their revenue by not informing patients about the car park situation, then the patients attending their appointments are issued a fine. OR this was a genuine mistake. Why are staff not trained to inform patients attending their appointments that they must register their car plates on the system? RECEPTION STAFF WERE ON THEIR PHONES THOUGH. Gossiping about things nobody cares about. Failing to mention the parking situation. The dentist was a junior dentist and was picking at my teeth to create holes. When I stopped him questioned him on what he was doing, he said it was to “make sure” there was a hole there. Two weeks after my appointment I bled in the same spot he picked at. This lets me know that they’re playing in patients mouths to receive “experience”. I suggest learning how to care your own teeth to avoid money hungry exploiters like Synergy who use NHS patients as practice dummies and private patients as cash cows. Receptionists need to stay off their personal mobile phones so they can deal with patients properly. Trainee dentists please practice on your family members :)

Negative experience: My experience here was extremely horrible it still plays in my head the way I was bluffed by kalsoom and her team was disgusting I've been in a dv relationship my whole life and due to what I went through I'm mentally unstable my health is quite severe and I shared this with them over the phone and face to face to I also explained why my teeth were in the condition they were in and they promise to take care of me and give me a deap clean that I was asked to £100 I thought I was gonna be in the room for at least 20 to 30 minutes max because I wasn't allowed to visit no health place for more then 4 years by my ex husband first of all they made feel like I was crazy and about to jump on them and beat on My chest or something they kept eyeing each other and looking at me in a weird way because I made aware of my mental and how I want my teeth to be well cleaned as I haven't even to a dentist for many years they took me in the room spoke to me like I was slow and dumb and kalsoom cleaned my teeth with in 5 minutes I have a blank recordings on my phone that shows my appointment duration was five minutes and five minutes only it took me time to come on here and share what I went through in there when I didn't deserve how I was treated at all I will be takin g this further with my solicitor and they will be hearing from me soon

She is very committed to her job and her continuous advice and persistence has helped me to become dedicated and follow the routine of my dental hygiene on a daily basis. Fantastic experience: Second time I’ve meet this team and they are brilliant and the dentist is so funny and so friendly, really recommend this amazing team.

Positive experience: I recently had dental treatment (Invisalign) with Dr Shazia and overall, I’m satisfied with the results. The staff was warm and welcoming, and Dr. Shazia explained everything clearly, making me feel comfortable. While the Invisalign treatment was a long process, I appreciate the care I received and the improvements in my smile.

Negative experience: I am not happy that they charged 10 % of the total future appointment fee. As a private patient, I was told to pay one forth of my future appointment fee, which was £250 up front for my next appointment, so I had to pay in order to book the appointment. The receptionist didn't tell me that if I changed my mind, I would get 10% charge. After few days, I decided to get the second opinion from other dentist, so I called Snynegy dental to cancel my appointment which was a month away in the future. I thought she could just refund the money to my credit card, but instead I had to provide my bank detail to get my money back. When I checked my bank, I saw £25 deducted from the £250. They said it's administration fee charge, but I didn't cancel my appointment within 48 hours before my appointment. Why charge my money in advance in their pocket, and refund with 10% less. What kind of business or trade? Don't be private candidate.

Negative experience: The experience was horrible. A dentist (Shazia) there was very rude to me when i was asking about the process of a surgery i needed. She was rushing me and she took my prescription she scrunched it up and threw it in a bin. Her assistant was also being rude to me and pressuring me.

Fantastic experience: I have a terrible phobia of dentists and as a result had neglected my oral health for many years. The folks at Synergy were able to asses and fix me up with a treatment plan in no time. And it was all far quicker and less traumatic than I had feared. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending them to anyone in a similar position. And I am profoundly grateful for the care they took.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dental care and Excellent friendly Staff. The dental nurses and receptionists are all very respectful and helpful. Doctors have a very calm attitude and provide excellent care. I had an implant done by Dr Shazia. She explained the procedure very well, looked after me very well throughout the treatment and explained the after care in detail after the final appointment. Highly recommend this practice. My kids are also registered at the same practice and love going to see the dentist due to their friendly caring attitudes and excellent services.

Negative experience: Very pushy when it comes to getting you to add in private dental work on top of nhs covered work and strategic at getting nhs patients to pay as much and as often as possible. Completed an additional clean without telling me beforehand and then told me I needed to pay for band 2. Identified I needed a filling but told me to come back after 3 months to get it done. Which would also mean me having to pay another band 2 price as anything within 3 months would be covered by what I’ve already paid. Not the first to experience this and won’t be returning

Negative experience: Worst dentist I have ever been to don’t know what there taking about the prices are ridiculous there rude they don’t listen to what you wanna say they ain’t got a clue said 2 fillings then it’s 5 fillings and give you injection to wait in the reception for over 30 minutes then give me 2 more injections just for a filling then start taking about other stuff I don’t need or what I don’t think they are fully qualified this place is the worse dentist practice and private dental I have ever been too I will never come back or recommend anyone eles to come here didn’t make me feel at ease at all was here over a hour and a half for one filling when other dentist I would have been done in 20 give this place a miss and go somewhere eles disappointed place is a Joke.
