Fantastic experience: Excellent service, friendly staff

Fantastic experience: I have to admit from all the dentists I have visited either as my own personal dental clinic to an emergency clinic. Aura dental stands out by far. The surgery is so clean and the decor is outstanding. The staff go above and beyond especially the manager Jenny. They are true to their word and will ring if there is a cancellation. The dental practitioners are friendly, none judgemental and just want to best for you. There will offer solutions to suit your budget if paying and wanting cosmetic work. If you are waiting on a nhs dentist keep checking as they do come up. My whole family of 8 are clients and I would not change a think.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend Aura Dental in St. John’s Wood highly enough. The premises are spotlessly clean and equipped with the most up to date equipment. Mya is a superb hygienist as is the lovely lady dentist who looks after my teeth and oral hygiene. I never really looked forward to going to the dentist in the past, (along with everyone probably!), but the team at Aural Dental make it a very comfortable and pleasant experience and definitely not one to dread!

Fantastic experience: Aura is an exceptionally wonderful dental centre. From the minute you enter the Aura you are made to fell welcome. All of the staff are polite and professional in every aspect of customer service delivery. I was extremely happy with the patient care and explanation of my treatment plan by Dr Mestroni. Really important for me was that Dr Mestroni with consummate ease gave me a pain free dental experience. I highly recommend the Aura clinic

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience at Aura. The staff had poor attitude, and even when they apologized, it felt insincere. The service was far from what I expected, especially given the price. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Positive experience: I couldn't help but feel a particular way after seeing the Dentist yesterday and honestly would've been concerned had my wife attended alone after seeing how things went yesterday. The first point is that it was stated that each arch was £250 but after attending it was £350, that's a £100 difference. Secondly, the £150 difference in retainer, a total of £250 that had I not asked I would have just paid without any consultation in the matter. As a customer, I feel like I should be given options rather than just given the most expensive option without any consultation and honestly that's just tricky business practice. It's not as if I can request the arch to be £250 because I was told it was that price since it's already done. Not only from my perspective but from many people, this amount of money might not be so affordable for everyone but it's completely unacceptable to assume that it is acceptable by your customers without proper consulting. Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback and I hope this can contribute to bettering the experience you offer clients.

Negative experience: Very unwelcoming. A thin veneer of friendliness is displayed by staff if you spend a lot of money, otherwise the staff are rude at worst; indifferent at best. Very inhospitable towards carers of their paying clients. Complaints made by a patient about the overpowering scents used throughout the building were consistently ignored, despite voicing health concerns from someone with multiple illnesses. Would definitely not recommend to anyone.

I was quite nervous as my last cleaning appointment (at a different practice) had been very uncomfortable, but this cleaning was much less painful and Stacianne kept checking I was OK. A much better experience, and I was very relieved! Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting Aura Dental for almost a decade now and get a range of dental treatments by Dr David Tissera. Its not local for me but I happily travel from east London to St.John's Wood for my dental issues. My family has also started getting dental treatments and hygiene session at Aura Dental. My hygienist is Maya who is very professional, kind and caring. My mum who is usually not easily satisfied by dental treatments has been so happy with both David and Maya. Also a big shout out to the amazing dental assistants and the reception team. Its a warm and friendly practice that makes you feel immediately at ease. Keep up the great work!

Negative experience: Really bad experience with Yovaan Ilangakoon. Went to him because my metal retainer (which I had on for 10 years) broke. He replaced it with a supposedly “high quality retainer which is much stronger than my previous one” and it broke in less than a year. Cost me an arm and a leg. He first put it so badly that I had to go to him again to get it fixed and then it just broke. Extremely disappointing. He also made a groove in my teeth to fit the retainer, which I only found out months later and am in shock that a dentist would literally carve into my teeth to put a wire. Never happened with my previous retainer. He also tried to sell me clear retainers for £600. When I went to another dentist he laughed it off as totally unnecessary.

Negative experience: It's ok I guess. They don't disclose that xrays cost extra and unnecessarily expose patients to the radiation to make an extra buck. Everybody has to feed their family I guess so 2 stars

Negative experience: Wouldn't recommend opting for Aura Dental and in particular the 6month smile braces. Teeth got to a fairly straight look, achieved by widening the bite, leaving the bite much worse. The retainers Aura dental installed after were either of poor quality and/or the installation was poor. Every year since having the braces the fixed retainer has broken and the charge to fix or remove altogether have far exceeded the original price of the braces to the point where you feel almost like it's a scam to keep you returning and paying more. In hindsight, I should have waited, saved more and paid for a proper Orthodontist. This type of cowboy cosmetic dentistry will no doubt cause me further problems down the line and overall is not good value for money. The communication from the receptionists was also poor but the surgery was clean, recently refurbed. The dentist and dental nurse were pleasant during the visits.

So Grateful to have found this practice . Everything about this practice is healing and Uma the receptionist is a star kind wise caring .

Negative experience: My fixed retainer kept breaking (monthly) and I kept returning to Aura to get the glue fixed. Eventually, I went to another dentist who told me that when the fixed retainer breaks, the glue needs to be taken off and redone, not just added to the broken glue. My fixed retainer now lasts much longer before it needs redoing.

Negative experience: Horrid experience My experience ranged from having poor quality work done that subsequently had to be redone. Then turning up an to appointment only to be told sorry we don’t have the material we ordered please go home and come back another day …. All the way to having the wrong size product ordered and having to spend 3 hours in the chair instead of planned 30 min while the dentist sweated over me. Spending your money here will give you the follow feelings: 1) they are recommending work that is not needed only to get money 2) work done is substandard and will require subsequent visits 3) they do not respect your time at all Run for you life

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting this Dental surgery for over a year, having teeth straightening. I have to say all team is amazing. Dr David Thissera is incredible and the nurse Cosmina is fantastic, such a good banter between them, they both make me laugh every time I come for my appointment. Receptionist Uma is so lovely and caring. Don - he is so lovely too. Director Sanji recognises me by name. All team look after me and I feel so welcome every time I come to the practice. Fantastic experience: Although my son and I are new customers I feel as if we have new friends. The service so far is excellent and although now we are undergoing treatment what has happened so far is nothing short of wonderful. I love naming and praising and Uma is so very nice she welcomes you and makes sure nothing is too much trouble as the Front of House Supremo. Don, the Practice Manager does what is necessary and sees everything runs smoothly. And Yovaan the dentist is a perfectionist. But, everything comes at a price and by investing your trust and putting your faith in Aura Dental is not only great it is reassuring. Another reason that I like the clinic is because it is very close to where I live and so although I was stressed a good walk prepared me for going to a practise I like already. So now you know and I hope if you need a visit you will give them the chance to making you happy again.

I booked an emergency appointment for my elderly mother, who was really anxious about a large front tooth filling and it was fixed without anaesthetic and with no pain. She was completely delighted. Everyone was kind, patient, professional and managed to put her totally at ease. Thank you Dr Ilaria and the whole team at Aura Dental! Highly recommended!
