Fantastic experience: I don't think I am alone in feeling apprehensive when going to the dentists, but Holmes were brilliant. I was put at ease the moment I arrived with polite, helpful and friendly reception staff. The equipment used during my consultation was clearly high end and provided the dentist with great information. Post x-ray I was given a very thorough explanation of what had been identified and options for treatment. I left with a clear understanding of the proposed treatment, the number of sessions required and cost, in effect a comprehensive plan. I would definitely recommend this practise.

Dr Holmes always takes time to explain things thoroughly and I’ve been very pleased with the results of my treatment, both cosmetic and functional. Fantastic experience: Went yesterday to have 2 big teeth out and 2 fillings. Im a very nervous patient and never had sedation before. I contacted holmes to make an enquiry and from the first phone call they put me at ease straight away. I live over 2 hours away and wasn't nervous during my drive up. Had my teeth out and barley felt a thing. I would 100% return if i need another tooth out. From the receptionist to the owner, everyone of you were so nice and put me at ease. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I had been having trouble with a very loose lower denture for more than a year. Difficulty in eating meant I had no appetite and was losing weight. Dr Holmes suggested lower jaw implants, to which the denture could be anchored. 'It will change your life!' he said. He was right. Last night, I ate steak for the first time in two years! Dr Barry Holmes was kind, professional and friendly throughout the five months of the treatment. He explained every stage of the procedure, and gave me options wherever possible. His staff were always helpful, pleasant and friendly, and managed to fit me in for extra help whenever I needed it. I had an incident regarding my front tooth - already a sensitive subject for myself and my confidence so I was devastated. Positive experience: I am sharing on behalf of a friend who attended an appointment with you last week. She is registered blind so is unable to respond herself online. She also has hearing loss and wears a hearing aid. She said when the dentist explained what she needed to have done she would have liked to have had more time to digest this & have had more time to ask questions & discuss her treatment especially as the cost is fairly significant.

Fantastic experience: When my young son had an unfortunate encounter with a swinging table tennis bat we were worried about potential damage to his front teeth and the possible need for stitches. I called HDC and they saw him straight away. Thankfully, there was no serious damage, but the expertise and prompt reassurance was very much appreciated. Fantastic experience: I started my treatment to improve my teeth and smile In January 2022. I was a child when dentists drilled, filled and crowned a teenagers teeth if they needed it or not. Over my journey to date I have had 5 implants and one crown. The whole experience has been outstanding. The fear of loosing my teeth due to previous experiences has now gone. Barry Holmes talked me through each step of my treatment. Nothing has gone wrong or have I suffered unlike some of my previous experience with other dentists. The dental facilities and equipment are the latest technology. The staff welcome you and make you feel at ease from the moment you step foot into the practice. Fantastic experience: I cannot reccomend Holmes Dental Care highly enough! I have had a dental phobia all my adult life. I was in need of treatment which included the removal of 3 teeth. I was treated like a v.i.p from the moment I entered the clinic. I was treated with care,sympathy and understanding. I was never pressured or made to feel awkward regarding my phobia. The treatment was throughly explained and at any time I felt I couldn't continue I was told the treatment could stop till I felt ready. I opted for sedation and was treated once again like a v.i.p and felt very reassured and trusting of all the staff. I have had the treatment and everything went to plan! I am now pain free after 2 years of taking pain killers. I will be a returning patient and I have so much confidence in the staff and their expertise that I will carry on my treatments without sedation! Something I never thought would be possible! As a software developer I should know. I subsequently had a tooth filled then removed and replaced. A first time for me. I was really concerned about the whole procedure. However after it was done I wondered what I’d worried about. The replacement tooth was really millimetre perfect. My view was that it’s an investment in myself and my future and I couldn’t risk it going wrong elsewhere. Fantastic experience: I had a tooth that needed extracting, but my NHS dentist was unable to offer a replacement. I did not want a gap, so asked to be referred to Holmes Dental Care for advice . Barry explained some options and I chose to have an implant. He explained it would be a complex extraction and may require a bone graft - I felt completely happy with my treatment plan as it had been thoroughly explained to me. My treatment required several clinical interventions, and I felt completely supported by Barry and his team, the entire time. I have now had my implant and am absolutely delighted with it. In fact, I have joined the practice and look forward to continuing to receive the expert care they offer

And what a little gem the practice is, not only is it 10 min walk from my home, it’s been by far the best dentist I’ve been too . Dc Barry Holmes is very professional and knowledgeable man in his field giving me the best advice and outcome, and also very gentle when it comes to needles, something a few dentist in the past haven’t been! Fantastic experience: Such a fantastic dental practice. I was an apprehensive customer but everyone at the dentist are so understanding. They created a great plan for me and talked me through each step which ensured I was able to have the treatment I needed with ease.

Negative experience: Very disappointed. Spoke to an initial receptionist where I explained that I needed two composites fixed. I was told it would cost an initial £25 fee for the consultancy and then roughly £295 per tooth (which I was fine with). Long story short, done the consultancy, told it would take around a month in total to fix and then I was hit with the bill. £1595. How they’ve gone from 295 to nearly 800 per tooth is absurd - I’ve gone elsewhere and now all sorted for £1000 less.

Negative experience: I gave you that rate because I feel that you are not organised for example I did my health review one month before my appointment and you lost it and you provided me the minimum service on the day of consultation besides Mr showed me an example of important from the catalog which is not his work and you are very expensive compared with other practices

Positive experience: Very good dentist. I wanted a complete extraction of all teeth being carried out under general anaesthetic. After speaking with the dentist, who quickly made it clear of the pitfalls of all teeth being removed. I researched IV extraction and will most probably opt for this method. The dental nurse was excellent in her attempts of putting me at ease.

Fantastic experience: I first met Barry and the team almost a year ago when I went for an initial Invisalign consultation. Within the first 5 minutes I knew I had found the team that I wanted to work with! Not only are my results amazing (Invisalign and Composite Bonding) but I can't fault my experience. Lowri did an amazing job at co-ordinating my appointments and was extremely flexible when I had to cancel some appointments with very short notice, nothing was ever too much trouble. Gemma is amazing and makes you feel at home the second you walk through the door and Barry is just a genius at what he does - thank you so much! Negative experience: Dentist met expectations with regards to what I paid for. However, I had to wait 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment before I was seen. The next check up was missed an oversight due to me changing mobile number and using an email address which is not used often. I was charged a fee of 25 for a missed appointment which was unpaid as there was no pre notification. Naturally I requested waiver of the feel due to the delays on my first appointment. This was declined with no real acknowledgement of the initial delays. Out of principle I have gone elsewhere. The customer clearly is not always right and as a result i have had to go elsewhere. Having said all that and making my point very clear 25 and you have lost a patient don't make sense.
