Fantastic experience: Excellent dentist, Dean was brilliant, saw me quickly and helped with toothache. The staff are also very friendly and accommodating.

Negative experience: This clinic just want to squeeze all the money they can from you, they force you to take unnecessary appointments with hygienist multiple times, they never agree to do treatment for NHS patients even tho they have to by law. They lie to your face that this trans that treatment is not covered by NHS and offer you the most ridiculous options like temporary crowns for £7000 followed by permanent crowns for £20000, Absolutely ridiculous! My husband had a crown for the front tooth and they didn’t even match the colour or shape to his teeth! Avoid!

Fantastic experience: I am from the US and was on holiday in the UK when I started having a problem with one of my fillings. I called multiple dental practices in Glasgow to try to find someone who would take in a patient (who was obviously not already in their system) for an emergency appointment. 1Smile was extremely helpful and got me in for an appointment within a few hours of calling. Dr. Ryan Shum quickly found the source of my pain (a cracked filling and signs of decay), and advised a root canal treatment. Seeing as how I was only in Glasgow for another couple hours, he very graciously and clearly explained all of my options and helped me choose a route that would quickly solve the pain problem and get me through the rest of my holiday until I could return to the US. The treatment itself was great--Dr. Shum was sure to check in with me often during process to make sure I was doing okay. The treatment was also very successful (no more pain the rest of my trip!). Since my appointment, Dr. Shum and the office have been very good to communicate with as I have needed to get my x-rays and treatment summary letter sent to my new dentist in the US. The office called the following day just to check on how I was doing, and Dr. Shum has written to me personally to follow up and offered his assistance and advice even though I am back in the US now. I'm extremely grateful for the entire 1Smile Dental Clinic and Dr. Shum. Their professionalism, expertise, communication, and overall kindness is excellent. If I lived in Scotland, I would absolutely be returning to the clinic, and I highly recommend 1Smile to everyone else!

Fantastic experience: Have been with 1smile for over 10 years and find the staff are really helpful and professional. I've had various treatments done, including fillings & composite bonding and have found all work to be carried out to a high standard and good value for money. They offer dental plans that can allow you to have several hygiene appointments and regular check ups, in order to maintain your oral health. Reception staff are excellent and I've never had any issues trying to get an appointment - even been slotted in same-day for dental emergency. Would highly recommend 1smile. Wonderful work from all staff!!

Fantastic experience: Friendly, professional service that I cannot fault. I started to suffer severe toothache whilst on a visit to Glasgow. Found 1 Smile on-line and booked an emergency appointment. I found the dentist, Ryan, was very professional whilst being completely approachable. After an initial examination and x-rays he clearly explained the options I had and their pros and cons. On starting work he found it a little more complicated than he expected, took some additional photographs, explained them to me and what that meant in terms of this initial treatment (which actually reduced what I would be paying there and then) and further treatment options to discuss with my normal dentist. If I lived a little closer then I would be signing up for them to be my regular dental practice.

Fantastic experience: I lost my front tooth and went through the process of having an implant installed. They were very clear about the options and costs. The whole experience was good, right from walking in the door on my first appointment to the moment I left with a new tooth – great manner, welcoming, calming, attentive, mannerly and professional. Negative experience: Worst experience I could ever have. I have been booked in for an appointment AS AN NHS PATIENT however after one month of suffering from toothache, when arriving at my appointment, I am suddenly a PRIVATE PATIENT. It is important to mention that have been signed up as an NHS PATIENT in this exact clinic since 4 years ago. However today I was very surprised by the rude behaviour of the staff saying that I have never been signed up as an NHS patient before and there is no records of me on their system!!

Fantastic experience: I always have a positive experience when visiting the clinic. Conventially located beside Central station, they never run over schedule and I can go about my day quite easily after an appointment. It's a very modern and clean place so I immediately feel I am in good hands when I walk in. The receptionists, the dental assistant Andrea and the Dentist Ryan are an amazing team and I trust them all to do their job to the best of their ability every time. Their monthly plan is affordable and worth paying for if you want to improve you dental health!

Fantastic experience: Hi I had my bottom teeth bonded to match my top teeth Ryan did a fantastic job he also replaced my old fisher sealant to help with my bite and did 8 surface fillings no pain no numbing or anesthesia and the colour match to my natural teeth for the fillings was perfect. I am so glad. Also they have a practice plan too. Which gives you 2 free hygienist appointment a year plus 10 per cent off all treatments. I was given a complimentary 1 month free credit plus free air flow polish for my next appointment with the hygienist.

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting 1 smile regularly for the last 7 months as I have had Invisalign followed by whitening and composite bonding on two teeth. I am absolutely delighted with the results!! Ryan (the dentist) has been amazing every step of the way. I was keen to have my teeth straightened and whitened in time for my wedding and I had left it quite late to start the process, but thanks to Ryan everything was timed to perfection. At every check up he explained to me everything that was happening with my teeth and how things were tracking, giving me advice on when to change aligners so that it would be finished in time for the wedding but also whilst not compromising the results. He is so professional and really put me at ease with the whole process. I can now smile with confidence on my wedding day and thereafter) and cannot thank him enough!! Negative experience: Avoid like the plague. Since this business changed hands, I have been to the dentist more in the past year than in the past 5 combined for nothing but constant problems from previous appointments. When I needed an emergency appointment, I was told the only one available was in a weeks time. This is the first time I've ever left a bad review for anywhere, but I was so gobsmacked at the abysmal service from both clinical and non-clinical staff.

Fantastic experience: Got helped out with specific tooth pain. Had an extensive consultation at the first appointment including all sorts of screening & x-ray. Ryan took his time to show me the images & took me through his thought process of where the pain stems from. Got a follow-up treatment recommended which I was happy with as well. Only thing good to know is that they ask for the consultation fee upfront which I was a bit sceptical of at first but also understand that it is necessary. I recommend this dentist!

Fantastic experience: I came to this dentist after a few years nervous of the dentist, the receptionist was lovely, I seen dean he was on time for my appointment which was good as I had some things to do in city centre. Perfect location. he was very understanding and put me at ease about the treatment that was needed for me. I also seen Shawny the hygienist she discussed things to do to help maintain my teeth which was very helpful. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. I recommend this dentist! It Very pleasant experience.

Negative experience: Absolutely terrible service. Rude and condescending. I'm not a fan of the dentist, so had been worrying about my checkup. Arrived and they had messed up my appointment, but acted like it was my mistake. The lady at the desk was horrible and unhelpful. No wonder there are so many other complaints. I've edited the review after your response, as there's no other way to reply. The facts of the matter are that I phoned and made an appointment, arrived for the appointment and was told that I wasn't on your system. I've got the phone records to prove it. A glance at your other reviews suggest that this isn't an isolated incident. However, the staff at the reception offered no apology, said that "I'm not sure you're even registered" which your colleague had confirmed to me I was over the phone when I booked. As for "storming off" what actually happened was that I left and said I planned to register with another service, after it was suggested to me that it was my mistake and that they could offer me an appointment in February. Their lack of compassion in dealing with their mistake and your lack of class in replying to my review indicate to me that I've made the correct decision in registering with another practice. Where incidentally, I've been offered an appointment much sooner, and who have much more favourable online reviews. Shop around folks, and don't accept incompetence, rudeness, and now lies.

Fantastic experience: Saw Dean recently to repair a broken tooth, having had previous and highly satisfactory dealings with him. He is always positive and carefully, after meticulous examination, explains all of the treatment options. Execution of the treatment plan - over two appointments - was very professional and I am very satisfied.

Negative experience: I thought the dentist was good but the receptionists leave a lot to be desired, I have been waiting for a scale and polish since February and have been fobbed off with so many excuses why my appointment was cancelled even when I attended on the day and was told they had called and emailed me which they hadn’t. For that reason I would go back or recommend.

Fantastic experience: This is a brilliant dentist! I am staying in East Kilbride but none of the local dentists would see me for an emergency appointment, even though I was in pain. 1Smile found an appointment for Monday (I phoned Friday). The dentist had the very latest equipment in X Rays and sight magnifiers so he was able to see straight away what was wrong, and he did the operation very smoothly and efficiently. The dentist is very near Central Station so easy to find. They have been a lifeline as otherwise I would have spent the rest of my week in Scotland in pain and not being able to eat.

Fantastic experience: As someone who is terrified of the dentist I can honestly say this is the best dental surgery to attend everyone is so nice and Dean is just fantastic at making you feel at ease before ever starting any treatments. They explain everything they are going to do and take you through it step by step they show you photos and are just amazing. Fantastic experience: Dr.Dean and Chloe are amazing! They were both very helpful and kind when I was in the process of getting my wisdom teeth out as well as post-surgery checking up on me every two days. Everyone in the clinic is extremely caring which gave me peace of mind everytime I went.

Positive experience: Very pleased with service provided by all staff at 1Smile. Dean explains the treatment process and checks you are comfortable while treatment ongoing. Been a customer for many years and will continue to do so. Also excellent city centre location.

Negative experience: Never on time. Some 'unexpected' someone came and was attended first. What a joke. Been waiting for extra 30 min to be seen. And it's not the first time I'm experiencing it at this place. Staff is weird. The dentist only is nice. That's all.

Fantastic experience: I visit 1Smile regularly for their excellent thorough service. I have been a customer of the practice for about 10 years and very happy with the quality of treatments that Dean, Ryan, Chloe and the rest of the team all provide. Very caring, friendly and chatty which always makes me feel at ease. Reception are very helpful and very organised. The Hygienists are very thorough. I recently had a white filling replacing a cracked amalgam one and Dean and Chloe done a fantastic job. They explain everything in detail and check you are are doing okay. Very professional service. 5/5 Stars.

Fantastic experience: Sean and Chloe were really good. They tried antibiotics first to see if that would sort out my sensitivity issue. When it didn't the next procedure was fully explained and my options discussed, I was shown the x-rays and had many chances to ask questions. Although the procedure itself was awful it was done with care; they checked I was okay several times and warned me when there would be noises, vibration etc.
