Fantastic experience: I visited twice this week this practice,fist with my step son who is 17 yo (he was seen by Sobu Sebastian Orthodintist)after with my daughter she is 15 yo .and she was seen by Bukem Byls Orthodontist.The practices look very nice ,very clean with very helpful and kind reception team,both Orthodontists been great,very professional ,they took x-ray and both took a scan ,no more horrible impressions only updated and very quick scan ,my kids been so relieved and happy that no more horrible impressions only staff needed in their mouth. The nurses been very kind as well. It was a very pleasant visit and happy to take my kids back to start with their treatment ,one is urgent treatment the other one has to wait 6 months.They have extended team the Therapists who can provide some of the prescribed appointments.Its all got explained. By the way they have in house Hygienist as well that they can provide a good deep cleaning for the gums before the brace appointment.I like the idea of having it all in one place with a friendly and professional team. I only can recommend them.

Fantastic experience: 10/10 I would 100% recommend that made me feel so welcome. I no longer felt nervous once the orthodontist spoke to me and reassured me. This makes me feel so happy to know i’m going to be surrounded by lovely people when i get my braces put on. Excellent service❤️

Fantastic experience: As a dental patient, with a sensitive gag reflex and a series of negative experiences in the past, I have avoided having treatment unless it was absolutely necessary - and it often involved expensive sedation. For years, I've felt embarrassed by not feeling brave enough to have regular checkups and hygiene visits, despite wanting healthy teeth and smile. Therefore, I have been so fortunate to meet two people who have helped me so much to overcome my fear and build my confidence. Firstly, Bükem who is such a kind, caring, gentle soul that she has shattered my silly illusion that dentists aren't nice people!! She is so passionate about her work and especially the wellbeing of her clients. Secondly, Klara who has taken time to truly listen to how my phobia has impacted me, and shown incredible empathy, understanding and compassion. She's so friendly and encouraged me to visit her at Southend Orthodontics - telling me that I would have control of the hygiene session, stopping if I ever needed to. Trust is so important to me, and I've never felt so comfortable in a dental chair. She was so patient, regularly checking how I was, and nothing was too much trouble. She allowed extra time and gave valuable advice on how I can best look after my teeth and gums. I can honestly say that it was the best experience I've ever had in a dentist chair! I couldn't believe how relaxed I felt, and I think it was all down to Klara's skills, professionalism and warm personality. Thank you Klara. Thank you Bükem. A 5 star review for two 5 star women.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with my dental treatment at Southend Orthodontic Clinic under the care of Dr Sobu Sebastian. I received braces, followed by a retainer after the treatment. All the staff were incredibly helpful and lovely throughout the entire process. I am truly grateful to Dr Sobu for accepting me as his patient when all other clinics refused to take me on. He was so kind and helped me complete the treatment in a short span of time, ensuring I looked my best on my wedding day. I am really grateful to the whole team for their support and care. Fantastic experience: My daughter has global development delay, speech issues and some other health issues, we were referred to Southend orthodontist and weren’t sure how she would cope with braces at the start of her journey. We needn’t have worried, the whole team, were so patient and welcoming, from the reception team to the orthodontist, all put her completely at ease and made every step of the process fun The dental nurses shared a mutual love of Taylor Swift and would get my daughter chatting, whilst they worked, distracting her, they gave good advice on what she could eat, once braces were on or had been tightened, they never rushed us and my daughter tried really hard to maintain her teeth/ braces during the process because she wanted to show everyone, she could complete the treatment, my daughter is very happy with her now perfectly straight teeth but is actually a bit sad, she has finished her treatment as enjoyed seeing the team so much I cannot recommend this practice enough and would highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I would highly recommend the team at Baxter Avenue. From the moment myself and my son walked in, everyone was very friendly, professional and welcoming. The treatment my son received was great. He wore his braces for just over two years. With regular checkups. All my questions were answered nothing was too much trouble. The orthodontist was skilled and gentle. We have completed the treatment now. My son’s teeth are now straight with a beautiful smile and he has much more confidence. Retrainers are provided along with after care advice. Thank you to all the team. We are both very happy!

Fantastic experience: The dental hygienist was amazing. I felt quite anxious getting it done for the first time today after especially since my braces had just been taken off, but she made me feel comfortable and was very gentle with it.

Negative experience: fab dentist but hear me out. a friend of mine had new bands put in and instead of casually asking “oh hey there which colour would we like this time ”, they gave her YELLOW BANDS. WHAT. abysmal. make sure you tell them immediately what you want or you will be punished ‍‍‍

Positive experience: Love the results so quick and easy my only complain is that it is not too suitable for anyone in school as it takes way too long to actually get an appointment and when you do show up it takes anywhere between 10-30 minutes to actually be called up for your session. Just spent 20 minutes waiting for an appointment meant to be at 11.35 so take it with a grain of salt. But otherwise lovely experience.

Fantastic experience: Had a brilliant Invisalign experience with Southend Orthodontics. Both lower and upper teeth look great after closing a gap. Dr. Byles was very friendly and the whole team were great and gave me the more expensive fixed retainer at no extra cost. Would recommend.

Negative experience: Second time the “lost my files” therefore I need braces again LOL never again. how can you lose your patience files twice. They want to make as much money off you as they can and they never answer the phone

Negative experience: Flatout laziest and moodiest orthodontics i’ve ever been to. Often left 5 months inbetween check ups and had a go at me for them ringing the wrong number frequently.

Fantastic experience: Amazing results for my son with Dr Sebastian and nurse Tia today. Braces off after just under 10 months wearing them. Great advice and assistance all throughout the treatment. Dr takes great care with the children and very clear with what needs to be done and if everyone follows suit like my son did they will be off in good time. Great service thanks.

Fantastic experience: As an adult of 50+ I have just finished my treatment, which was fixed braces top and bottom over 20 month period. The process was pretty stress free with friendly staff, and regular appointments. Dr Sebastain was very patient with me as a nervous client and worked hard to produce the best smile I have ever had. Scarlett was thrilled to learn that they could come off after only 10 months when it was expected 18 to 24 month's. Fantastic experience: I have been attending the clinic for many years continuously as I myself have had fixed braces fitted originally by Mr Tan (private) when I still had a child in a buggy which was a slight challenge for them as they had to be quick - hence the downstairs treatment room for convenience !!! Now both my grown up children have had theirs under the NHS . All the staff have been polite over this time and the service has been excellent . Both children have received treatment from Dr Sobu Sebastian which we have all been very happy with and neither have been worried about going for appointments . Both children teeth look perfect and it has been a pretty painless experience throughout. Luckily we haven’t had too many problems with the fixed braces breaking in between appointments but if we needed to be seen quickly that has been arranged. I would definitely recommend whether you are attending privately or through the nhs.

Fantastic experience: Amazing so professional... I went to Southend orthodontics for the gaps in my teeth to be closed, everyone was so friendly and helpful even through covid my next oppintment was always on time and was not left waiting around or having to keep calling up it was very organised, i had a consultation and we went through all the different types of braces from invisalign, clear ceramic braces and standard stainless steel and I was able to get help deciding what was best for me without feeling pressured. They also are cheaper then other places and i was able to get a choice on my payment to fit my budget I could pay in full or pay monthly with 0% interest I am currently half way through my treatment and can't wait to see my results.update..I’ve had my braces off and my teeth are perfect and cannot stop smiling super happy and proud.

Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Southend Orthodontics since I got my braces 6 years ago and I couldn’t ask for better service or results. I was very insecure about the gaps in my teeth, but despite being 15 I didn’t qualify on the NHS for braces so I had to go private. Dr Sebastian was fantastic throughout the whole process and also since, so professional and helpful, always quick to give the best advice with any queries I have. It’s now 4 years since getting my braces off and I still have wonderful, straight teeth. The practice are also extremely quick to answer any concerns; I broke my retainer recently and was able to get an appointment the same day for an impression for a new retainer. It’s a top-quality service with friendly, professional staff and I recommend it highly.

Mine was a fairly complex case, which he handled with great expertise, and he has helped straighten my teeth so much! Fantastic experience: My teenage daughter needed orthodontic treatment. Dr Sebastian suggested treatment with Invisalign as opposed to full braces. He was very thorough in explaining the process, going through the advantages and potential need for additional Aligners. Dr Sebastian has a wonderful team working with them. The practice is clean and well managed and well organised. My daughter has great set of teeth and a wonderful smile in Just 24 weeks as opposed to 18 months of full brace treatment. She also found treatment with Invisalign completely trouble-free and painless. She’s now so much more confident with her smile and is very happy and grateful to Dr Sebastian. He’s a wonderful Orthodontist with great experience and knowledge. I would recommend anyone considering orthodontic treatment to get an opinion from Dr Sebastian, prior to embarking on long treatment process. After having fixed braces for a number of years as a teen and over the years after, sadly my teeth slowly moved back to how they once were. It’s such a quick and easy process. Invisalign treatment was definitely the best option throughout lockdown as you receive all the retainers you need with minimal face to face consultations needed. From start to finish, it’s taken just 7 months to achieve my perfect smile. The service I received has been fantastic. Fantastic experience: The team at Southend orthodontist are amazing. My dentist messed up my children’s referral and they lost 9 months on the waiting list, Southend Orthodontist were so understanding, they were so helpful on the phone and called me back a few weeks later to confirm that they had received both referrals and offered me their initial appointments ( the referrals were urgent). When we arrived at the surgery the lady that dealt with us was lovely, then when we were in with the orthodontist they were so professional and patient with me and my questions, they gave good advise and will only act in the child’s best interest. I highly recommend them and am looking forward to continuing my children’s treatment with them.

Fantastic experience: I have literally (an hour ago) had my brace removed and WOW ! Can't believe these are my teeth ! I am 46 and have always absolutely hated my teeth and have never smiled showing any teeth and have covered my mouth when I laughed. When I hit 43 I decided it was now or never and started to make enquirers with a few dentists. I was told that as my teeth were quite badly over-crowded I would be better off with a professional orthodontist rather than a dentist which led me to Southend Orthodontists. I was really nervous to begin with about being older and having a brace but everyone puts you so at ease at Southend Orthodontists. Everyone is kind and friendly from the orthodontist to the nurses to the receptionists, all such friendly, kind, helpful staff. I honestly can't recommend the practice enough and ​if you are older and if like me you have lived life hating your teeth to the point of trying to hide them , then just go for it as it really is worth the time it takes, you won't believe the results.
