In my experience, the receptionist did not explain additional fees for follow-up appointments, and when I asked for clarification later, I was made to feel uncomfortable. I originally booked a standard £75 hygienist appointment, but during the session—while I was unable to speak properly—the hygienist told me I needed a deep clean instead. It left me in an awkward position with no real opportunity to discuss it. Overall, I found the experience unprofessional and felt pressured into extra costs. I won’t be returning.

Fantastic experience: I recently had composite bonding done here and I couldn’t be happier with the results! The dentist was really professional and took the time to make sure everything looked perfect and natural. The whole experience was comfortable from start to finish. The reception team and all the staff are incredibly kind and welcoming — they make you feel completely at ease as soon as you walk in. I’d highly recommend this practice to anyone considering cosmetic dental work!

Fantastic experience: I had to use this dentist for some unexpected work at short-notice, as I was away from my normal dentist. I got an appointment within a few days. They seemed very helpful, friendly and professional, both on the reception desk and in the surgery. As well as doing the needed work, they carried out a thorough inspection and provided information well beyond the minimum. I was well impressed.

Negative experience: Poor quality of work, left patient with damaged enamel and tried to pass the blame onto the patient. Refused to supportively help with costs of remedial treatment. Also, for another family member, L&Y held onto prepayment for treatment that didn't happen, and had to be chased to refund. Rude and unprofessional front of house male staff member. I would recommend avoiding L&Y and seek out a proper dentist instead of a high street profit grabber.

Fantastic experience: I recently had to attend L&Y for an urgent/acute issue. I was really struggling with acute tooth pain. The front of house team were very compassionate and flexible, helping to get me seen ASAP. The entire dental and nursing team were incredible. In particular Dr Jas, Kat and Gaby were fantastic. Really friendly and accommodating. When the diagnosis was made, Dr Jas moved things around to get me in later that day for a root canal and sort the pain out as a priority. Having never had extensive dental work before, I was pleasantly surprised with how pain free the entire experience was. I have a new crown and am extremely satisfied. I definitely felt well looked after and am extremely grateful that a tough situation was so comprehensively managed by such a great team.

Negative experience: I am a extremely unsatisfied customer with L&Y dental practice as I’m having to pay over £9000.00 I’ve had 9 teeth out and having two screw in teeth and a cheap denture that’s broken twice I wouldn’t mind I don’t have a penny to my name I’m paying monthly I feel like i have been ripped off rather badly and would not recommend this dentist to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I’m dental phobic. Other than a couple of visits to Guys & St Thomas’s Dental Hospital I hadn’t been to the dentist for the best part of 33yrs. But (in desperate need of getting my dental hygiene sorted) I decided to try L&Y on the basis of all their 5-star reviews. Being honest, even with the appointment it was touch and go if I would turn up. And previously even when I have ‘gone’ to a Dentist, I haven’t made it beyond the front door. But L&Y is completely different. No funny smells or loud noises - an environment that is calming and pristinely clean. The Dentist and Assistant were both superb, their kindness was above and beyond. By the end of my Appointment I’d had a full examination, X-rays and even a clean and polish!! I’m booked again for 6-months time and determined to keep on top of my fears. We’re lucky to have L&Y on the high street of Northwood. Believe the 5-Star Reviews, AMAZING!

The treatment coordinator Lakshmi has been very helpful over the phone and when I arrived. Then the dentist Yasmin and the nurse saw me and managed to do treatment on my tooth today. Negative experience: Very disappointing and unprofessional service. The clinic saw my daughter for a private consultation. Paid accordingly and went ahead and offered fantastic solution. She decided to wait a bit before paying a deposit on the day (normal and sensible course of action for anyone) and decided with her work schedule before going ahead. Less than one month later she called agreeing to go ahead. The dentist then decided she doesn’t have the materials, she won’t do the procedure and suggest she goes elsewhere. My daughter was professional and kind up at that point. The disgusting receptionist gave a ponzi excuse that the dentist is unable to explain why, there is no other supplier in the whole of the Uk! This is an absolute lie. There is clearly more to the story that she’s letting off. How can you treat people like this! Avoid this clinic at all costs. It would be useful to give her a refund as you did nothing in the consultation apart from look at her tooth

I was first seen by Pooja, the hygeniest who is so good especially with patients who have a fear of dentists. She immediately put me at ease and gave painless treatment. The process of my Invisalign treatment was very well explained to me by the very amazing dentist, Yasmin. She has two weekly reviews with me and monitors my improvement at each stage. The appointments are never rushed and she is always happy to answer any questions I have. The ever smiling Natasha and Laxmi at the reception desk always check up on how I am doing at the arrival of my appointment, which shows how friendly and caring they are. There is already a vast improvement in my teeth and I cannot wait to see the end result! I have no hesitation in recommending the team at L & Y Dental to anyone looking to get Invisalign done :)

Fantastic experience: I have been going to L&Y dental since they opened in summer 2021 and I have always had a warm welcome from the staff. The services are professional. I have Yasmin as my dentist who has so much knowledge and tips. Today I had Pooja as my hygienist and her attention to detail is second to none. With L&Y dental I know my teeth are well looked after. They give you the knowledge to care for your own dental hygiene so that you visit them less (which is opposite to other dentists that I’ve visited)

Fantastic experience: I met Lakshmi during the covid lockdown and we formed our friendship. We went for walks and she spoke about her desire for the practice. Over time the practice became a reality. She wanted the place to be the best at what they do. She expects everything to tick the mark. So recently we went for our walks and I needed dental care so I reach out to her. My first treatment was awesome, the experience from the reception to the treatment room was so encouraging. I have visited the practice three time for treatment and the experience have been great. I felt very reassured and I was given understanding of what to expect. Her desire to do and give the best is obvious. In my adult life I have attended 5 dental practices and I can tell you L&Y is the best but I will say it is good - the only one in its league. The interior makes it feel more like a luxury spa rather than a dentist and the calming view of trees and blue sky you have when you lie down on the dentists chair and look up is great for making you feel relaxed. The staff are wonderful and so knowledgable! I am currently doing a course of teeth whitening with them and the results have been incredible so far. They’ve been incredibly thorough and I couldn’t recommend this dentist enough!

Fantastic experience: I was treated for a tooth extraction, implant and crown. Yasmin took time to explain each step of the process in her bright, first rate, modern facility and no issues were experienced. Overall, the end to end process could not have gone smoother.
