Fantastic experience: I initially rang the surgery but due to workmen making a lot of noise it was suggested I pop in so all information could be collected without any interference, after giving my information I proceeded to make an appointment which cost me £82, obviously after having any work done no matter what it is this is a separate charge and prices vary, the receptionist was very polite and easy to talk to you could say very professional.

Negative experience: I rang up for an appointment as i was in so much pain with my gums. I was told it was not an emergency and that i could not be seen until 16th november Consequently my face began to swell and the pain was a lot worse. I made an appointment with another dentist and was seen the same dsy. I had a tooth abscess which was drained and put on antibiotics. I really think this dental practice should at least give advice on how to manage your condition if you cannot be seen and make provision for emergency appointments. This emphasises that you really need to be seen and over the phone assessments can be no means accurate.

Fantastic experience: Anna and her team are so friendly, thorough and gentle. Being someone who is petrified of the dentist probably for absolutely no reason apart from not having been in 19 years, I had my check up today. Was given an easy plan to follow to get my teeth back to tip top condition. Anna talked through everything with me in detail to make sure I understood the reasons why she was recommending what she was and even talked me through my xrays which I found really helpful. Positive experience: I booked an appointment for a check up and to get a broken tooth repaired. When i got there they only did a check up not the broken tooth as I expected saying not enough time! When i booked i said I wanted the tooth done. Now I have to go back in 3 weeks. I wanted it all done at the same time , so not very happy. Natasha explained everything that needed to be done and was very efficient

Fantastic experience: After 40+ years of teeth that were rotten and decayed even with a denture plate under went some procedure to get back to normal. The procedures were way better than over the last 30+ yrs of bad experiences and I have even recommended to friends. Paying above NHS rates is painful but for my own experiences was worth it. Just had my second 6 monthly visit so a year since having my whole mouth sorted and for once no anxiety. My dentist tells my of potential future problems and how I can reduce or eradicate them which I find really helpful.

Fantastic experience: Having worked & paid into nhs all my life, I do begrudge having to now start paying & finding the monthly amount on dental payment plan. The price seems to be increasing. Maybe a rebate scheme on the plan could be put in operation if only check up & cleans are needed every 6 months ?? Regarding dental staff, I have found no problem at all with my dentist , she is thorough, gently, understand nervous patients & puts you at ease. Her assistant is friendly & polite too.

Positive experience: Dentist lovely, We were told when we signed up that we had 2 dentist appointments and 2 hygienist appointment but when I go to book hygienist it's going to cost a lot extra and since the plan went up about 2 months after we joined we're not happy

Negative experience: Not impressed at all, waited 3 weeks for appointment. Turn up for appointment ,checked in , and waited half hour and still not seen dentist or told why delay. Told reception I can't stay any longer and was told that dentist is doing paperwork from previous persons appointment. Asked if they can refund my £66 fee back on to card to which they said " needs to be done through head office" couple weeks,then said several weeks and do you still want to cancel appointment, yes I do. Also in waiting room theres notice saying you need to give 24 hours notice if you need to cancel appointment and if you don't theres charge of £1 minute !!!! So seems they didn't inform me that they were going to be half hour late for my appointment does this mean I'm going to get reimbursed at £1 minute Probly not. Not happy at all

Fantastic experience: I've recently had a wisdom tooth extracted; which I wasn't looking forward to. The procedure turned out to be surprisingly painless, and I was in and out in 15 minutes. The staff are lovely and the treatment is very affordable. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Absolutely avoid this place. After multiple appointment cancellation and couple month's later I was able to see a dentist. Been told that need root canal and crown which cost me a lots of money. After all treatment and month's living with discomfort- my dentist said that my treatment was unsuccessful and there is nothing he can do about it unless I want to see him on private treatment which will cost me much more money. I never go back to see him again. When I make a complaint, no one was really interested about my bad experience at the clinic. Absolutely useless. I have to go different place private to try and save my tooth just to find out that has been damaged so badly that need to extracted. AVOID

Fantastic experience: Navigating the broken NHS is difficult for every public health sector at the moment but Burnham House Dental Practice does its level best to provide dental care to its patients with the allocated dentists they have. As far as treatment goes, I've never had such a gentle, pain-free experience as I have had at this practice. Reception staff, nurses and dentists are really friendly and put you at ease despite some of the poor behaviour I've witnessed from patients at the reception desk.
