Fantastic experience: Had an emergency appointment and was seen by a dentist called Max, after 2 previous very rushed and poor appointments at different surgeries, max was like a breath of fresh air although he had very limited time on a weekend and clearly was going to run well over the close time. He gave me a fantastic service and treatment. I could not recommend him more highly. Thanks to Max and his team!

Negative experience: Was on hold for 17 minutes just to be hanged up on after 15 seconds, extremely rude and waste of my time

Fantastic experience: I was a NHS emergency today and was seen by Anthony and the team whilst in a lot of pain. The treatment and tooth extraction was totally professional- great sense of humour and minimal pain. Finally I can enjoy Xmas and thanks to everyone including the receptionist and the dental nurse (sorry I do not know your names) for being available to both myself and everyone else in the surgery by working today - Great team and great service - but I hope not to see you again in the future

Fantastic experience: I have been going to sharrow for 15 years or so. The staff have always been really kind, informative and caring. Today I saw Maddy for my check up, she talks through everything thoroughly with you and makes you feel at ease, she is a very good dentist that you can't fault (my Nans favourite too ) I also saw the new hygienist Aaron, he was great to chat to, very welcoming as well as thorough in his work, and caused me no pain at all - I felt very at ease during my appointment with him today. Even though I've moved away I still haven't and probably won't change dental practice as I'm more than happy to travel for 10/10 care.

Negative experience: I’ve been extremely disappointed with the treatment I’ve received here over the past three years. Despite countless attempts to reason with them regarding compensation for poor dental work, I was met with rudeness and a standoffish attitude. The quality of care has left me truly shocked and dissatisfied, and I strongly advise anyone considering this practice to look elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: The lady on the reception today was Absoulutly amazing she deserves so much credit - my partner in a lot of pain seen and tooth removed all within 1 hour of phoning I couldn’t fault the service enough and especially on a Sunday - thank you

Negative experience: Went with my disabled mum and they did not have any disabled parking spaces at all, and parking spaces were mostly full, came in to explain to the reception and was met by one who tried to help as she went to another member of staff but who’s reply was well did she drive here, which she obviously hadn’t but that’s irrelevant very very displeased

Fantastic experience: Mr Barrett was amazing with my 11yr old grandson who had broken his adult front tooth. He was so good with him and did a great job of repairing it. A happy grandson and family!! Reception staff so helpful too.

Negative experience: Went for an emergency appointment, and as I'm disabled there was a lined area outside no notice to say don't park there, so put badge up and went in .. reception was lovely greeting. I had to wait longer because they booked me upstairs, which I can't do. Do sitting in the waiting room . When this man came in, he shouted out who's the mokka was, so I replied, and he was so rude saying didn't I see the lines and apparently, I had parked in his space .. he was able bodied . I said I thought it was disabled but no. It turns out the rude man is the director, and he needs that's space more than a disabled person.. very upsetting how he can talk to a patient of his practise like that. Maybe he should put a disabled bay in next to his space.

Fantastic experience: I had to go to Sharrow Dental for an emergency weekend appt as I had a cracked tooth and severe pain. The receptionist was fantastic, very helpful and empathetic. I didn’t have to wait too long and had a root canal on my tooth. Completely pain free when I walked out the door. The dentist was fantastic, explaining what was going on at every stage and very caring. A big thank you to this surgery for being open at weekends for emergencies. Absolutely awesome place.

Negative experience: Had my fixed retainer repaired here cost me £40. It didn't even last 2 weeks before the whole thing fell out, left in discomfortfor 2 weeks as the dentist was off sick. Then went back to have it replaced and was charged the full £100. So in total cost me £140! If it'd have know it would break in 2 weeks I would have just had the new one done straight away. Instead I'm now out of pocket and the dentist has profited from his bad work. Won't be coming back her again! The dentist should have done the right thing and offered the repair price reduction from the replacement.

Negative experience: Rude uninterested receptionists, act like you are bothering them and interrupting their gossip chats! One booked in my next appt for a date already in the past….when I pointed it out she just acted irritated that she had to re book!! Dentists seem ok…always running late though.

Fantastic experience: I have such a phobia of the dentist, but sharrow is so great, everyone there makes me feel welcome and everyone from the receptionists to the dentists are always very friendly and kind. My dentist, Dr Vishal, is definitely the best dentist I've ever had. He's so understanding, non judgemental, and really makes me feel comfortable when I come in! He explains every single detail of what he will be doing, and gives a lot of advice for after care as well as explaining why its important, which is all very reassuring. He makes the visit a really relaxing and fun environment, and goes above and beyond. It really does make a difference having a dentist who is chatty with you, and very approachable. At my visit today I had quite a lot of work done, and instead of an hour of nerves and even crying, it was an hour of listening to music, and we all had a few laughs! And the work he does is absolutely fantastic! My front teeth were all pretty damaged, and after today they look so perfect but still so natural!

Negative experience: If I could give 0 stars I would! I went to this dentist in April 2024 and was referred to have my wisdom teeth out. Fast forward 7 months I’m being told by receptionists that they think the dentist I saw “forgot” to put the referral through. I have rang everyday for 3 days to try and get this issue resolved and just keep getting told “there are no notes on my system and they will ring me later today with the update for my referral” I would avoid if you have a procedure you need doing quickly and efficiently and with professional customer care. A member of staff is still yet to be in touch with me to resolve this issue.

Fantastic experience: I have been visiting this dental practice for well over 2 decades. The staff are all friendly and helpful. I have had a lot of dental work done over this time due to issues when I was younger and a side affect of anxiety. In just about every case I have been impressed. I am hard wearing on my teeth so bridges and I were not suited but worth a go. When I have needed an urgent appointment there has been one found, and they send out reminder and check they day before when things need to be done. I am currently on the last stage of an implant being done, with me looking at may be two being done in the future. Most of the dental work I have had done is on 4 teeth, the fact that more work needed doing on them is down to my behaviours which I fully acknowledge rather than the quality of dentistry and the length of time I have had issue with those teeth. So I would feel very confident in recommending this practice.

Fantastic experience: The dentists here do a great job. Today I was in for a hygienist appointment. That's never a cheap hobby though the service I received was excellent. The hygienist was friendly and thorough and my teeth feel and look super clean. They say prevention is better than cure and so it's worth the visit.

Fantastic experience: Just outstanding in every way. I had a severe traumatic injury to my mouth on Monday afternoon after a significant fall from height. I was rushed to A&E. Broomfield hospital treated the majority of the injury, stitching my mouth and lip back together however unfortunately didn’t have the right equipment or conditions to repair my two front teeth which had been dislodged. I was given an urgent appointment for Tuesday afternoon at Sharrow with Mr Clough. They were just amazing and fixed a new splint to my teeth to keep them in place. He is a very calming influence and you know you are in good hands. He also placed a few more stitches to my gums and lip to help secure it better. This isn’t my usual dentist but I would transfer to there if I could… the staff are just lovely!!

Fantastic experience: Joe is honestly the best dentist I've ever met he takes all the stress out of the numbing injection and is just so polite and I love his accent couldn't recommend a better dentist and they always see you quickly

Fantastic experience: Maddy has done a fantastic job for me. She has filled a huge hole that other dentists would not commit to fixing. Heavy work but she got stuck right in without any messing about. Now a few days later, & I wouldn't know I've had any work done at all. Magic!

Fantastic experience: Just want to say what amazing service I’ve just received, I phoned this morning for an emergency appointment (this isn’t my dental surgery either) after being advised by 111 last night, I got an appointment straight away for the same day, very helpful receptionists and an all round good atmosphere the dentist I saw was very professional I explained my problem and within 20 minutes I was done dental problem sorted, went thru the after care with me. 10/10 would definitely recommend! Sophie was very professional, kind and did a faboulous job. I am looking forward to my next appointment! Anthony Barrett replaced my 5 fillings on 19 and 22 May 2023. As always he was very professional and kind doing an excellent job! Hermione, his assistant was also very professional and kind to me. I really enjoyed the treatments and the result without any pain! My big thanks to the receptionists Bethany and the other nice ladies. Unfortunately I do not know all the names yet :). I wish I would knew their names too to mention here. Fantastic experience: Im super nervous at the dentist having a few dentists that have really hurt me from other practices. I can’t help but always be frightened when i go. Maddie is so wonderful she sits and listens to you, never makes me feel rushed and thanks to her it’s the first time in years I haven’t felt pain at the dentist! I had a root canal that was over so quickly and she really made sure I was at ease. I travel 45 minutes to Sharrow dental because it’s absolutely worth it! I’m having cosmetic work done soon and they are always upfront about prices and what they can offer you. the ladies at reception are so wonderful and kind too, Told my family how lovely everyone is and 2 are signing up! Fantastic experience: After my tooth cracked on a Friday night, I called 111 they gave me details of emergency dentists in Chelmsford. I called Sharrow this morning at 9am, they explained its a sit and wait surgery, absolutely fine. I think I sat for 3 minutes I was seen by a lovely dentist Jaya. Such a friendly, calm experience going there. All the staff were fantastic. Thank you very much.

Negative experience: The worst! I have went just for one seal, so they did it. After a month that seal dropped, I went to the practice again, they did another one and after a month the seal dropped again. They did a crown , after short term of time became an inflammation on that tooth so they extracted it. I HAVE LOST MY TOOTH, BECAUSE IN MY CASE THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO DO THEIR JOB PROPERLY! I can compare their job with my dentist in my country, so Sharrow dentist practice use very lower quality materials,comparing with my dentist , even they can not do a seal properly for me. I have got another case with Sharrow dentist practice, so they have put 2 times a seal on one of my other teeth, so all that seals dropped, so I went to my dentist to fix that tooth, now there is 1 year already without any problems. I have got crowns and seals for more than 10 years, made it by my dentist in my country. Don't lose your teeth, using Sharrow dental practice!

Fantastic experience: I live in France, but am not in their dental system yet. I booked a check up and time for a treatment to follow, having lost a filling. Their treatment was first class, my numbing injection didn't even hurt! I'm returning to France completely fixed and I know where I will go if I need any further treatment in the UK!

Negative experience: Booked an appointment due to partner's recommendation. Unfortunately won't be returning. Waited 4 months for an appointment, arrived early to be told that there was no appointment and that "I called and cancelled the appointment" (despite receiving a text reminder/ confirmation day prior). Expressed I haven't contacted the practice since booking my app, attempted to show her text confirmations. Receptionist was blunt and dismissive, repeated that I cancelled this app. and she didn't know what else to say. I asked her when this call was made, said she doesn't know and only her manager has full access to system. Asked to speak with manager, waited 5-10 mins and was told by same receptionist my app. was accidently cancelled (no explanation when/ by who/ why) and there was no availability to be seen today. She did offer to rebook but next availability was November (total 7 month wait) or added to cancellation list. I requested a refund of my deposit and will be booking elsewhere. I understand this practice is very busy (and by reviews, very popular), but this wasn't the experience I expected, waiting months for an appointment, blamed for their accidental cancellation and overall treated dismissively.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Frank is a miracle dentist!!! We had an accident during the graduation, and my mum’s teeth got very badly injured. Dr Frank saw us the same day, and provided extremely good treatment, and, as my mum was still in shock and big pain from the accident- his calm way of explaining everything was so helpful. We are so thankful!

Fantastic experience: My son broke of half his front tooth in a bike accident last week and we were given the dental trauma number to arrange an appointment as soon as possible. Fantastic experience: My partner had an accident and broke her front teeth, we travelled all over to find the best dentist for her. We travelled down from Cambridge and found Ant and the team in Chelmsford. They made what was a really stressful process so much easier. They took such good care of us through every step of the way and she hasn't stopped smiling since. Genuinely impressive work from the team at Sharrow Dental. Only downside is I heard one of the dentists is an Everton fan.

Negative experience: Not a Great service in my experience. Ive used Sharrow Dental for a few services over the past few years, A Check up and some Whitening treatment, However one service which i require is a deep clean. I booked this in November '21 for 11th of March this year. What i felt was a very long wait for just a deep clean! Taking into consideration that due to Covid , things could be very busy, I took it on the chin. However just before my appointment for the deep clean this month, Ive received a call cancelling this, Postponing it until... August!! This is just ridiculous, that someone would have to essentially book for a deep clean 9-10 months in advance. I feel like if your spending money with Sharrow Dental (i.e £350 on a whitening treatment) they can fit you in a matter of weeks, however anything thats smaller, you have no chance. As soon as an alternative practice is available, Ill be leaving.

Fantastic experience: Excellent service and superb advice! I went through the full 32 Stories Cosmetic Dentistry process for straightening my teeth, followed by whitening. I highly recommend the service, Frank and his team walked me through the process from start to finish, highlighting what I could expect, what I needed to do and the potential results at the end. I couldn’t be happier with the results! My teeth look great and I can’t stop smiling!!

Fantastic experience: I have had nothing but the highest of professional service and support since I have been seeing Mr Clough and his support team. Having always been phobic of going to the dentist, I now almost look forward to going to Sharrow Dental Practice in Chelmsford, as I know I will leave there feeling more confident with my teeth, happy with the treatment I have received, and always looking forward to the next stage. As Mr Clough said when I first went there, my journey will not be a quick one, more like a marathon, but he has been nothing but superb from day one, making that journey much more achievable. Fantastic experience: I had a wisdom tooth removed this morning which I was dreading! Nihar was fantastic, he reassured me and was very professional. He is the only dentist I’ve had who can give injections that don’t hurt! The tooth was removed very quickly, and I was given excellent aftercare advice. Fantastic service!

Fantastic experience: Today I visited Sharrow for a dental clean with the hygienist, Sophie. I was somewhat apprehensive as my previous visits proved unsuccessful in removing some nasty quite visible plaque between my bottom front teeth. I wear a permanent retainer after completing my Invisalign treatment which has meant the previous hygienist found it difficult to remove the plaque build up without the possibility of damaging the retainer. Whilst I appreciate this concern, the plaque (over the space of say 2 years) has built up so much that I had considered I may have to pay to have my retainer removed, plaque removed then retainer reinstalled . So very costly! So today meeting Sophie I explained my concern and after talking me through my general health care, she set about cleaning my teeth with her many tools including a type of jet wash! She took such meticulous care and her attention to detail had me feeling 100% confident that I was in good hands. Imagine my complete shock when I rinsed my Mouth to find that every single piece of plaque removed! I could not believe it! Sophie is a superstar!!! I am so happy and hope she is always at Sharrow for future visits. Thank you Sophie for doing an outstanding job!

Fantastic experience: After a bad experience for my 7 year old son with another dentist I was delighted for him to be seen by Frank and Faye at Sharrow. They really put him at ease and were able to complete his tooth repair at the dentists, rather than him have to go on a waiting list of potentially months. They were amazing with him from the start, spoke to him to explain what would happen and take all his worries away. I couldn't recommend them enough!

Fantastic experience: Just had a half hour dental hygiene appointment with Sophie after skipping 2020 due to the Virus that shall not be named. Such a relief to get the gnashers serviced and great service as always. If you're looking for a good dental practice then I'd recommend them highly. They can cover just about anything teeth related. PS go easy on the Corsadyl - they'll tell you why.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this dentist practice for over 10 years and I would never go anywhere else. I have always had the best service and treatment. My dentist, Dr Patel, has done my whitening, bonding, root canal and other treatments. They have all been amazing. I would definitely recommend this dentist surgery and most of all recommend Dr Patel.

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with Sophie the hygienist this morning. I was seem very quickly. Sophie went through what toothbrush I should be using and gave me some of the mini brushes to help floss my teeth. She cleaned my teeth till they gleamed and I was very pleased with the service. I promise to keep flossing Sophie and I will ask for an electric brush for Christmas.

Fantastic experience: I had a hygienist appointment on 12th November with Sophie. I haven’t been to the dentist for many years so was half expecting a lecture but Sophie was really lovely & informative on best products and cleaning method. She gave my teeth an amazing clean and polish and I was very happy with the whole experience. Thanks so much Sophie - I definitely won’t leave it as long next time!

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment with Sophie the Hygienist, thankfully I wasn't kept waiting so my nerves were not exacerbated. Sophie put me at ease by running through some helpful tips to improve my dental hygiene. The appointment was efficient and pain free, and I left with my teeth looking and feeling far better. Fantastic experience: Went as an emergency nhs patient. From the first call I was impressed. My emergency visit was really good, the dentist (I really don't know her name) was so kind and helpful as I have a complete fear of dentists. I needed an extraction so asked if I could pay for sedation. Which you can here. We booked it in for after my honeymoon, but my tooth got worse and more painful. So on the off chance she called to discuss the sedation and I ended up saying it was worse. Luckily she had a spare appointment and even though I was having a panic attack she managed to get the tooth out so quickly, with care and guidance Will never go anywhere else now. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant, by far the best dental practice I have ever visited. My wife and I have used this practice for a number of years. I have had NHS dental service and private dental service and both have been 5 Star. Reception have been great with a welcoming manner and have always been able to fit me in especially when in pain. Francesca is my dentis and a better one I could not imagine. Sophie is my hygenist, and I always get a really thouough clean. In addition she is one of the most funny people I know. Privately I have been trated by Deepam and Simona - alsolutely wonderful. I cannot believe the implants and bridge I have which feel and look so natural. Thankyou to all of them.

Fantastic experience: I had to visit as an emergency patient on a Sunday morning. The service was excellent from all 3 staff on duty. I was very impressed and relieved to get prompt treatment of an infection. If I lived near I would definitely move to this practice but I was on holiday in Essex at time of visit.

Positive experience: The dental staff are lovely: very gentle, professional and friendly. The ladies at reception are another matter: rude and dismissive. Prices have increased massively (doubled, in fact) - is this still an NHS practice?

Negative experience: Booked a dental appointment 6 weeks in advance due to them being busy which is understandable. However, today my partner and I recieved a text saying our appointments next week have been cancelled. We called for them to rebook and find out why, to be told the dentist has decided to go away on that day. After waiting 5 weeks for an appointment we then were told the next available appointment was 19th July?! Another 6 and a half weeks?! Utterly ridiculous. Will be going elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: What an exceptional service! Best dental practice in Essex, the lovely lady on reception went above and beyond to help me, and she was very professional! I was shocked when she informed me that she was actually a dental nurse, but was helping out at the front desk due to the demand as a result of the pandemic! What a star! Can't thank all the staff at sharrow dental enough, I'm actually looking forward to going back to the dentist!! Thank you all !

Fantastic experience: I hate going to the dentist, so I'd left it way too long and found myself needing two crowns. I saw Dr Nik Christidis and he has done an amazing job and was very friendly. He made the process as comfortable as possible and I'm really pleased with the end result. The nurses were also very nice, which makes a huge difference to the experience.

Fantastic experience: I have had such a positive experience at Sharrow. The staff are brilliant, so attentive to both myself, my children and my husband. Nothing is too much trouble. Would have no hesitation in recommending to others looking for a dentist or orthodontist.

Fantastic experience: Dental Hygenist Sophie explained and completed the cleaning procedure with patience, care and advice on keeping teeth and gums healthy. Highly recommended.

Negative experience: Horrendous place to go, the receptionists are too busy chatting to take care of you. They let 2 old persons waiting outside in the cold completely ignoring them for 30 minutes even though I told them. Shame on them.

Fantastic experience: I left this practice when I moved out of Chelmsford but now travel back to this dentist from out of area. I rate this practice very highly. My children see a lovely dentist, Anthony, he is friendly, relaxed and really great with my boys. Personally, as an adult NHS patient I have seen a number of different dentists (thankfully I don’t need to go often between check ups) but they’ve always been good. I think the service here is excellent - especially now having had the chance to experience a different dental practice. The comparison has made me appreciate the higher standards and the high level of service offered here.

Negative experience: Just had my filling, and the moment I put back my denture it come off. Even before I stand up. Instead of fixing it that very moment the dentist asked me to come back again. That is not acceptable she was in a hurry for the next patient. Even if I am with NHS I am still paying money. So not recommended. And will not come back again.

Fantastic experience: Great service. Only dental practice in area that would accept me, despite not being a registered patient. And very happy they did too. Friendly service, even with Covid measures in place.

Fantastic experience: Phone call to online form, assessment to an emergency appointment. Great customer service from beginning to end especially in the circumstances. Would highly recommend.

Positive experience: Quite long waiting time however there is a modern look on the inside. Some staff are quite rude.
