Fantastic experience: Superb in every way from reception to treatment and care. I use Ali for my dentistry and agata for my cleaning. Always accommodating with appointments. 100% confident with treatment and options. Ive moved away from the area but still come back as I wouldn't go anywhere else. I would say the best dental practice I have ever been to. Ali is knowledgeable approachable and discusses everything in detail. Agata the hygienist is just wonderful and is even fun to visit in addition to giving the best treatment ever. They are a wonderful team who are efficient and professional, and I would have no hesitation in recommending.

Their lab is no good though I’ve had to call back far too many times to ask if my trays and retainer were ready as I’d not heard back from the practice.

Negative experience: This place offers some high level and complex dentistry which I had a consultation about. A treatment plan was suggested to me, involving very very extensive work. It was then not sent after the consultation, which was unprofessional but was actually fine with me as I decided not to use the practice. For a place that offers very complex dentistry, it didn't feel clean, sterilised or high tech enough. I found a better practice that gave me a much less invasive but highly strategic treatment plan, where the environment felt pristine and in-fitting with complex dentistry. I think Gentle Dental is probably an okay choice for routine dentistry but I think I don't think it would have been suitable for my complex needs at all.

Fantastic experience: I first went to Gentle Dental for my Invisalign, and soon realised that the level of care and attention to detail was excellent. I’m a particularly nervous patient and have had a lot of issues with my teeth. I am now a regular visitor of the practice, and Nicky the Hygenist I see four times a year and she is amazing, gentle and effective and Ali is an excellent dentist, very practical and knowledgable, as well as always putting me at ease! Also worth mentioning that all the staff are friendly and I always feel very welcome! Highly recommend Gentle Dental!

Fantastic experience: A fantastic dental practise. Their level of care and attention is 100% in my experience. They’ve kept my teeth and gums strong, white and healthy since 1999. I love that they don’t over treat, only recommend what’s necessary and always explain the detail so I can make an informed choice whether to continue or not. I have 2 check ups, a year with dental hygiene (the hygienist team are particularly good), the odd filling replacement now and then, a little cosmetic work when absolutely needed and Invisalign last year. Their gentle manner is perfect for the most nervous of patients too. Can’t recommend them enough, Harley street quality without the travel or the extra cost.

Negative experience: Absolutely poor 3rd world dental practice. The place is unclean and the staff constantly change. The people on the front are more interested in talking to there mates on the phone about what they did the night before. There has been a change of ownership / management at some point. I would not go near this place and we have all gone to other dental surgeries now

From the moment you are greeted at reception to having your all dental problems sorted out - I met the same level of professionalism, warmth, empathy at every stage. Fantastic experience: I visited the Gentle Dental surgery from my usual dentist in search of a specialist to extract a tooth under sedation. I am a very nervous patient when it comes to dentistry having had trauma I the past. I was seen withing just a few days after excellent communication from the team, including informing me of the full cost when I booked. I was treated very well and everyone was very kind as I cried from opening the door! The procedure was painless and (now a week later) is healing very well. I would absolutely recommend them for the work and care I received and will be back for any other significant work.

He has done my implant, everything went so smooth ⭐️⭐️⭐️. My hygienist Agatha is wonderful, does an excellent job with her big smile. All the other staff is always friendly and very helpful. I cannot recommend them more.

Negative experience: Don’t choose this dentist if you need complex work. I enquired if this dentist could help me as I had full dental implants placed somewhere else. I told this dentist that I had been turned away by other dentists because of the complexities but they agreed to see me. The dentist took an CT scan which clearly showed I had full dental implants and I would have thought that would be the opportunity to tell me they were not qualified to work on me. Instead the dentist said he wanted a report on the CT scan and then I could book an appointment to plan the work. I was charged almost £500 in total to be emailed they couldn’t do the work. I had to call them and ask for an explanation. Having now found a competent dentist who is doing the work has made me realise that this dentist should not have agreed to see me without being confident they could take on the work. A complete waste of my money!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a client of Gentle Dental now for around 2 years. All the staff are kind, helpful, and considerate and my dental experience has been fantastic. I had a set of work completed on my teeth by Ali Rifai and was so pleased with the results. I also see Nicky the hygienist who provides great ongoing care. Negative experience: I was happy if not delighted with the care I received since a number of years.... Until recently, when the dentist was half an hour late. He was very nervous whilst treating me, forgot to do one of the teeth on my program, then did a tooth that did not need treatment and to close this catalogue of disasters, the pain I suffer on two of the upper right molars is excruciating. I cannot eat nor drink. I notified the manageress, who, after discussing the situation, agreed to refund the money I paid. That was a just solution with which I was satisfied, thus allowing me to go to another dental practice to have the damage put right. Yet, the first refund was delayed, supposedly because the details on my card were not complete (!? they were), so I gave a different account number. I called Capital One where the payment was supposed to have been made, no money was paid in.

Fantastic experience: Dental Impant Surgery: I had my dental implants fitted recently and I am extremely happy with the outcome. Ali and the team have done an amazing job since I lost my 2 front teeth over 6 years ago. I had to wait for the surgery for a long time due to my age and the issues surrounding having implants at a young age. I finally had the surgery 12 weeks ago and had my two new crowns fitted last week. They look absolutely amazing and the whole procedure was way less painful than I ever thought it would be. Fantastic experience: Like many people, I have an immense fear of dentistry, and dentists, due to previous experiences. I had two broken teeth and one that had been treated incorrectly by an NHS dentist. I had been in daily pain for about 18 months, and had been put on a 6 month waiting list by my NHS dentist. I called gentle dental to explain my problem and they offered me a same day appointment. They were kind, compassionate, understanding, patient and validating. I’m not sure anybody ever feels completely comfortable in the chair, but It’s the closest I’ve ever come! The work needed was carried out, all of the staff were kind and welcoming, and it showed me that the dentist doesn’t have to be a dreaded place! Thank you so, so much gentle dental! I will definitely be returning.

Fantastic experience: Dental Implants - 3 New Teeth - June 2022 I had the most professional and pain free experience when getting my new tooth implants at Gentle Dental. Honestly I put it off for some many years because I just didn't want to go through the pain. But my experience was totally the opposite. Ali and the wonderful girls were there every step of the way. All my questions got answered and I was reassured everything would work out well. And it did. I was worried for no reason. I did think about going abroad to have it done but when you consider the risk factor, time and professional standards - it made no sense to me. I have known Ali for a long time and knew I would be in the best hands and if there were any issues these would could be resolved easily. If you are thinking of having dental implants at Gentle - don't waste any more time. Just book and get it done. Was it painful ? No, uncomfortable for a few days, yes for sure. Fantastic experience: Luckily I have found the Gentle Dental implant. This practice is offering full dental services from the complicated surgery to the little fillings. I had a lots issues in my mouth, and it was required complicated process with crowns and implants through the bone graft and more all together. Doctor Ali was very confident from the beginning. He was offering the best tritment plan with amazing suggestions. After a few months my mouth is full of strong teeth again. Thank you all.

Fantastic experience: Highest Quality Results. I went in with my mouth looking and feeling like i had been chewing on rocks for years, and I came out looking like a movie star version of myself. I needed a full restoration which included several implants, a few root canals, and a couple extractions, topped off with fresh crowns or veneers for all the teeth. Each and every member of the team are friendly, caring, and committed to providing the very best in service and results. The premises are very clean and well looked after. The technology used is the vanguard of state of the art: 3D imaging maps of the mouth, 3D printing of materiel, perfectly matched colors, specially formulated materials for different teeth (hard-wearing zircon for the molars and clearer ceramics for the fronts) The procedures were as pain-free as I've ever experienced, and done in an efficient manner so as to minimize time spent in the chair. The results were incredible, and, I love to smile again!!

Fantastic experience: I got pretty bashed up in a cycling accident, losing some of my front teeth, and so required dental implants. The process from initial consultation through planning to execution has been smooth and I am delighted with the result. Fantastic experience: Today I had a one hour appointment with Hygienist Nikki, who's a recent addition to the team at Gentle Dental, where I've been attending for 29 years. She explained all processes clearly, which apart from minor twinges in a couple of pain susceptible areas (which I've always had) was pain free. I felt relaxed throughout. She gave me some brushing/flossing advice which has really helped me understand my cleaning routine better. Very pleasant lady with a good sense of humour. Bearing in mind that this really excellent practice has given me great service and attention to my dental health, Nikki fits in with the ethics and professionalism I've always experienced.

Fantastic experience: I am a super anxious patient and suffer with panic attacks at the dentist. I recently had to have a large filling that would have me in the chair for an hour or so - my worst nightmare! Or so I thought. Fantastic experience: This place was recommended to me by family and for a nervous patient the best experience. The reception welcome is cheerful and friendly, beautifully modern area with hot drinks and water on offer. I needed implants, crowns and bridges followed by whitening, so lots of appointments. My dentist Mr Ali Rafai was superb from start to finish, so professional and personable. Throughout the whole process I was cared for wonderfully plus lots of laughs along the way. The constant care during appointments was very comforting, no rushing, and I knew I my needs were Mr Rafai's priority. Plus check up call the next day without fail to make sure everything was going well. Absolutely deserves five stars!

Fantastic experience: Fantastic experience with Ali. It took 18 months including bone grafting, removing and replacing failed dental implants, invisaline for my bottom teeth which were all over the place and some veneers but now I'm delighted with the outcome. Ali was always very clear about how this wasn't an overnight solution in an honest and forthright manner which gave me confidence that he would deliver results. I was offered several overnight solutions from other dentists locally at a fraction of the cost but when I see how much effort and detail that went into my plan, I know i made the right choice.

Fantastic experience: Before coming to see Dr Ali at Gentle Dental I had a root canal treatment that failed 8 years ago and from that point I went to 6 different NHS dentist all couldnt numb my mouth to fix the problem this lead to another root canal needing to be done on the next tooth along, so I was in severe pain daily and also became extremely nervous about going to the dentist which I did not do for 3 years. I finally got to a point where I could not take the pain anymore, so I looked up specialist and found Gentle Dental. They were not local to me but after a consultation I knew I was going to be ok, I even had a bet that he could not numb my mouth with one injection (I lost thankfully). DR Ali and his team setup a plan to have one toothed repaired with a root canal and crown and the other tooth removed and an implant fitted. The root canal was actually relaxing and this is coming from someone who jumped out of his seat at every appointment previously, you pay for what you get! The Implant again was just as easy and now completed you can't tell what tooth is the implant it is so good to be pain free and not embarrassed to smile for fear of people noticing a once rotting tooth. I cant thank Dr Ali and his amazing team enough for helping me get over my fear of dental work and getting me to a point where I can book aesthetic work for teeth whitening rather than emergency repairs.
