Fantastic experience: Very friendly, on time and most importantly they explained everything that was happening step by step. They checked through out if I was ok and asked if I had any questions. When giving advice, they gave me options and didn't push a particular option based on monetary gain, they gave me pros and cons of each choice, and said they would be happy for me return later if I needed more time. After the procedure, the numbing wore off quickly, I was surprised, as I felt no pain throughout, which normally means I wouldn't be using my mouth properly for hours and dribble uncontrollably. I was eating shortly after I arrived home and felt like I had had nothing done, as I have had no pain at all, even now it's the next day and have taken no pain killers. Considering I had just endured 3 hours of drilling I was very surprised & impressed!

Fantastic experience: This Dental practice has been serving my dental needs for over 25 years. Their knowledge & reassurance of first class treatment is excellent. Would highly recommend!! I have had to attend an emergency appt but yet again the service was impeccable. What a patient also seeks is professional treatment & BIRKBECK has been offering this for many years. Fantastic experience: I went to Birkbeck Dentistry for a hygiene appointment with Lianne, and she was amazing, so gentle and kind. I was quite nervous beforehand because of a bad experience elsewhere, but she completely put me at ease and done a really good painless clean. Ella at reception was also really friendly and welcoming, which made such a difference. The clinic was spotless, and there’s easy parking behind the building, which made everything even more convenient. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely recommend them to anyone feeling a bit anxious about going to the dentist! I will definitely be returning.

The hygienist Rachel is great and welcoming, we always have a good chat and in no time at all has done all my teeth. George my dentist is a great guy and always explains any procedures and always ask how you are . 5 star service every time.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely deserving of a five-star review! From the moment I walked in, I was impressed — the receptionist and the entire team were friendly, helpful, and genuinely polite. The atmosphere was welcoming and professional from start to finish. My dentist, Lianne , was fantastic. Even though I was only in for a routine clean, she made the whole process quick, completely painless, and took the time to offer helpful advice for maintaining my dental health. It’s rare to find a dental visit that feels this easy and pleasant. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this practice to others.

If I need any work done to my teeth, I often fall asleep in the chair, as it's so relaxing, no worries about visiting the surgery

Fantastic experience: I went to Birkbeck Dentistry for the first time today, as I wanted to continue with the same Hygienist, Lianne Dobson, who is no longer working at my usual surgery. I was very impressed with the place and the ease in which to get there. As usual I was pleased that I opted to continue with Lianne as she is brilliant at her job, and even if a patient (myself included!) isn't a fan of a dental surgery, she makes you feel very relaxed and confident.

She was extremely careful with every step of the procedure and really made me feel at ease throughout the whole process. Thanks to her skill and care, my recovery was smooth. Fantastic experience: Had an amazing cleaning here. Lianne, my dentist, was great. Lianne was very thorough and talked through every step of the cleaning with me. My dental nurse was also very welcoming and kind. Lastly, the receptionist was also very helpful and welcoming.

Fantastic experience: I had my very first appointments today with the Birkbeck Dental in Sidcup. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a very lovely friendly Receptionist. My first appointment was with Lianne the dental hygienist. Being 54 this was my very first ever Hygienist appointment, lianne was ever so Patient as I was very nervous. She took her time and made me very comfortable and Patient and felt very at ease. I found the Whole experience very comfortable with no pain at all. She then went on to explain the aftercare of how to manage things onwards to keep up with my hygiene at home. I would definitely be booking again. She was wonderful and very professional. I then went on to my next appointment with the dental practitioner Mr Hasan. From the moment I walked in and had my check up X-rays we talked over my problem and the work I looking to have done Mr Hasan explained the best stages we could go through. He explained to me that he would emailing the stages and prices so I could work out the best way forward for my self with such a very professional manner. I also found that so much better for my self with out that feeling of being pressured on the spot. Gives me the Opportunity to work out what I could afford moving forward. My whole experience today was so great. I walk away knowing I will definitely be going back. Thank you so much Elly x

She is one of the reasons that I stay with Birkbeck Dentistry as she is always so very welcoming, and being that I am a bit of a nervous dental patient she never fails to put me at my ease and never makes me feel awkward if I have been delayed in attending my appointment. Fantastic experience: I recently had a double wisdom tooth extraction performed by Dr. Kardel and Dr. Elnaz, and I honestly don’t know where to begin,this entire experience was incredible from start to finish. From the moment I arrived at the practice, every single member of the team,from the reception staff to the dental nurses and the dentists themselves was warm, professional, and genuinely caring. They took the time to answer all my questions, both before and after the procedure, which really helped put my mind at ease. During the extraction itself, they made sure I was completely comfortable throughout. I didn’t feel a thing, and their calm, reassuring manner made a potentially stressful procedure feel easy and smooth. I would 100% recommend this dental practice for any type of extraction. The team is kind, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about what they do. I’ll definitely be returning here for all of my regular dental care moving forward. Positive experience: Was a bit confused. I have been to birkbeck dentist for about 15 years, my husband and son also come to birkbeck dentist. However when I arrived in the dentist room I was asked if I was a new customer as they had NO RECORD of me. I know they are under new management and their website has changed, and Peter has left and there is a new receptionist, but the change is concerning because they should still have my records.

Fantastic experience: From the first time had contact with Birkbeck dentistry everyone one has been so helpful and kind and put me at ease .I'd spent years avoiding dentists due to previous bad experiences in the past and it got to the point that I was embarrassed talking to people and just to put my hand in front of my mouthwash I laughed due to having such bad teeth .Dr Elnaz and her team took time to listen to me and straight away after after a examination said they could help .I'm so glad I finally put my fear of dentists behind me and took the plunge ,as Dr Elnaz made me smile again and I'm so happy I can eat properly again ,smile and laugh . Fantastic experience: I had kept away from dentists for far too many years, and chose Birkbeck Dentistry somewhat randomly when I was suffering from a really painful root canal infection that was clearly not going to"go away" if I ignored it as I usually did such things. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. The infection was dealt with, and I then embarked on a course of treatment during which I was treated gently, given full explanations of everything that needed to be done, and had excellent reconstructive work which over a period of several months undid the damage caused by years of foolish neglect on my part. I would recommend the practice and and its highly professional staff to anybody, especially those with fears or phobias involving dentists! Updated at 22/05/2025: I have been a patient at Birkbeck Dentistry for well over 10 years now, and I am still completely happy with the service provided.

Fantastic experience: I visited on 20-03-2025, with a possible abscess under a tooth. The surgery is quiet and peaceful - staff move around quietly and purposefully. All staff are pleasant, cheerful and respectful. I was seen by George and his assistant, and they were friendly and considerate. George took time to explain the x-ray to me, and the possible treatments and outcomes. I'm always happy to go back to this Dentistry because of the friendly and knowledgeable staff.

I’ve recommended George to a very nervous relative who hadn’t been to a dentist for years. Positive experience: Post sale of practice has left some gaps in administration. My appointment for this morning was cancelled yesterday morning then reinstated at 8.30 last night. Only saw hygenist . Dentist left over six months ago. Staff on site helpful , hygenist as always was great so hopefully with more administrators the practice will get back to its high standard.

Negative experience: Incompetent practice with no accountability for their mistakes - avoid for your own safety.

Negative experience: I attended this practice for a tooth extraction in Jan 2024, as my crown came off whilst eating a Jellybaby. We discussed the extraction. They performed the surgery and removed the wrong tooth. They did not offer me any assistance when the mistake was noticed. I tried to discuss further. I wanted a repair or extraction for the damaged tooth and help with the bridge that I now need because of their total incompetence. I tried to complain they offered no help and said they stood by their clinical decision. Shocking treatment. No after care and I left with a broken tooth and in need of a bridge. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SHOCKINGLY ENEPT PRACTICE

Negative experience: My wife was referred by Sidcup Hill dental practice for an extraction of one tooth last January 2024. Birkbeck took the wrong tooth out!! The practice manager was so unhelpful and basically blamed my wife for the mess up. Definitely avoid this practice, no basic safety precautions taken by the dentist
