Fantastic experience: A fabulous dental service! From the friendly & helpful reception team to Matt, the best dentist I've ever had, to Julia, the most patient hygienist, ever - they're all amazing. Julia's advice has really made a difference to my dental routine and it's working a treat. The place is state of the art and spotless. This is a review from someone who hates going to the dentist!!

All the staff are so welcoming and friendly I have extra requirements being immuno compromised after transplant and this is handled so well by the staff here I feel totally at ease about it. Wish I could give 6 stars to them they're really that good. Thank you so much for your treatment I really appreciate it.

Fantastic experience: Been quite a journey! I searched long and hard to find a solution over the past 24 months. I found it very difficult to cope with dentures. Couldn’t eat properly or taste anything. Then I made an appointment with Alex Payne and the amazing team at Greasby. Nothing has been a problem during the special care and understanding Ive received through this journey. I had all top teeth removed and replaced, pain free, with a beautiful set of all on 4 teeth. Fantastic experience: I needed an emergency appointment, so I phoned the practice and got an appointment that same day. Tashe, the dentist is excellent. I have always received first class care from Greasby Dental Practice. Kate, the dental nurse is very efficient and kind. All the staff are very caring.

Today I saw Julia and Sam (Hygenist). Julia was so lovely and thorough, her knowledge about the effect on how Menopause effects the gums was second to none. Fantastic experience: Although it took a few attempt for the lab to get the colour match for my existing teeth, the service and care from Alex and his nurse was second to none. Alex listened to me and made sure the finished article was perfect. Thank you I am very happy with the smile I now have.

Negative experience: Every time I have managed to see a dentist or hygienist here it’s been a very pleasant experience. However, 3 occasions now I’ve had appointments cancelled and when they are cancelled I’ve been sent to the back of the Que with no effort to try and get you a sooner appointment. Booked an appointment 4 months ago and 50 minutes before it I recieved a phone call to tell me it’s cancelled. If it’s cancelled fair enough I can accept that even though it’s inconvenienced me, but to be told I can’t have another appointment until end of Feb is really poor. I could understand being made to wait another 3 months if it was me missing appointments or messing the surgery around but I’ve turned up for every appointment I’ve had at this surgery and been on time for them and I feel it’s been completely disregarded. I can see on other reviews the dentist has policies for patients who fail to turn up for appointments and obviously they follow them up but when it’s the other way around they have no interest. I’ve made some great improvements while being treated here but I won’t be waiting another 3 months to have my appointment cancelled again. Really disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Review for Alex Some 15 months ago, I began dental treatment plan with Alex at Greasby dental clinic. This was a long journey that I had no wish to embark upon due to my extreme phobia of dentists and dental treatment. However, it was necessary due to the condition of my teeth that had been neglected. My daughter undertook research of many dental practices, and we agreed that Greasby dental practice and Alex seemed the best to meet my needs, and an appointment made. The first appointment I attended it is safe to say, I was extremely frightened, my daughter accompanied me to provide much needed support and, in all honesty, also I think she doubted I would attend unless she took me!! I met Alex at that first appointment and my story of dental phobia was shared. At no point during that appointment or any subsequent appointments (there were many) was I made to feel uncomfortable or embarrassed. His approach throughout my extensive treatment has been one of kindness, he was very supportive and took things at my pace. He is undoubtedly an excellent professional, taking great pride in the work he undertakes, he constantly ensured that I was ok and that I was pleased with progress being made in my treatment plan. My fear of dentists and dental treatment has gone over the period I have been receiving treatment and this is wholly down to the high standard of care and attention I have received primarily from Alex but also from other of his colleagues, with a special mention to Kylie who cared for me on the day when I had significantly dental surgery. That phobia was something I never thought I would be able to overcome. As my treatment comes to an end I am acutely aware that I have gone from a patient who could barely speak from fear on that first appointment to a patient who attends with ease and chatting away, engaging with every element of my treatment plan. My treatment plan was extensive and included having teeth removed and implants fitted, the results are amazing, with people I don’t even know making comments about them “your teeth are really lovely”. I cannot recommend Alex enough for both the excellent treatment that I have received but above all the care and support that he and his colleagues have provided to me throughout. I would recommend him to anyone whether it be for regular dental treatment or to those like me who need extensive dental surgery, especially those who suffer with dental anxiety or phobia. Fantastic experience: Attended this morning for an appointment with the Hygienist. It’s true to say that over several years there has been a shortage of Hygienists or some that were limited and didn’t stay for long. Today, the new hygienist and nurse ( Julia & Sam ?) were very socially skilled, provided comprehensive advice and carried out the procedure in a very professional manner. Thank you.

Fantastic experience: I like many have never enjoyed a visit to the dentist and for many years avoided it at all costs until I had an instance when it couldn’t be avoided any longer .This was more than 10 years ago where I met a fresh faced extremely pleasant young man at Upton dental surgery named Alex. From the moment I met him and he put me at ease and conveyed an air of confidence and professionalism I knew I was in good hands. He looks after myself and my wife and over the years I would like to think we have become good friends . I would like to thank him for what he did today I am so pleased with my new teeth and very grateful to him and Sam . He is without doubt a seriously talented dentist and the best we have ever met and we wish you all the very best in your new venture. I would also like to give a mention to all the staff I have come across at Greasby practice and thank them all for quite frankly outstanding customer service with a special mention to Kylie who it seems nothing is too much trouble . I felt welcome and was put at ease before treatment commenced. Clear explanations were given throughout the treatment and clear instructions given afterwards about post treatment care and management. Fantastic experience: Due to advanced hereditary gum disease, in 2023 I underwent full-mouth dental implant surgery at Greasby Dental Practice, under the care of surgeon Alex and his team. The initial treatment plan was cost-competitive, and the care and attention I received during the pre-op assessment/briefing, the (hours-long)operation itself, and in the ongoing follow-up after-care, was second to none. I would recommend this specialist dental outfit to anyone considering having implant surgery, without hesitation. Top class, and well done Alex and the whole Greasby Dental Practice team! The result (with hindsight)? I’ve now got great teeth again; it has changed my life..... crucially, I've got my happiness, natural confidence, and full social life back!

Fantastic experience: Tash and Kate completed 2 fillings for me yesterday. Being a nervous patient, they treated me with great care and I was relaxed quickly. They did a great job and I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: I called up on a whim to see if the practice was taking on new patients after having several appointments cancelled last minute by my previous dentist. The lovely lady on the phone signed me up as a patient and managed to sort out a same day appointment for me. I am so grateful for this especially since it wasn’t an emergency and I just wanted to have a check up and impressions taken so I can start my teeth whitening journey. I get very nervous at the dentist but Jack and Kirsty made the experience as pleasant as possible and took their time with me. It is clear that the whole team put patient care and customer service first and I’m so glad to have joined the practice after having not so pleasant experiences elsewhere.

Fantastic experience: Great service. We access it as a 3 person family unit (with a child). Adults are on private, child on NHS. We get appointments within 2-4 days of calling. I've never needed any treatment more then check ups but my spouse has needed a lot of regular treatment. The dentists are very thorough in their assessments and excellent in their communication - particularly if it's bad news. They're polite and kind. The dentists are very visual and explain evidence of what's going wrong if more expensive stuff is needed- they're trustworthy for sure. Their treatment plans are followed swiftly and they check up via text or phone call if more complicated treatment is needed. They've given me good tips on brushing and gum health but more importantly for my spouse, have done a lot to save his teeth from further bone degeneration and continue to do so. My spouse has many family members with the same condition but finds his service in this clinic better than their [accounts] of treatment and costs. My child is always happy to see her dentist. She enjoys brushing her teeth and being reminded to keep 'em clean when I mention her dentist will be taking a look. She's had no problems with her teeth and has always had a calm, positive experience.

Fantastic experience: These people are fantastic. Matt, Kylie and the whole team are great people to deal with. Matt’s dentistry is top drawer, but equally as importantly; his ability to put the patient at ease and explain what’s happening is exceptional. Kylie and the team on the front desk always greet with a smile, and always accommodate me at short notice when needed. I have been a patient here since they opened and consider myself extremely fortunate to have access to such a talented and customer focused dentistry practice. Were I not lucky enough to be an NHS patient here, I would happily pay for private care. I moved out of area a year ago and now travel 80 miles to benefit from their services and will continue to do so into perpetuity. As discussed with Matt on a previous visit, nobody likes going to the dentist- but when you know with absolute confidence that you are going to be welcomed and treated quickly, professionally and with a smile, the dreaded chair is a less perturbing proposition. Fantastic experience: I recently joined the practice and needed a wisdom tooth extraction. I was incredibly nervous as Id had a bad experience with another dentist elsewhere.Tash and Kate were very patient and respectful, providing the most excellent skill, successfully removing the tooth. I also later found out Tash was not not due to work that morning and changed her plans so I could be seen quickly. I cannot recommend the practice more highly. All the reception team are also wonderful. I feel privileged with the care Ive received. Thank you all ...you are outstanding.

Fantastic experience: Both my wife and I had appointments together yesterday with Tash for our 6 month checkups. As always, a friendly, efficient and professional experience. My check up was fine, but unfortunately for me I broke a a piece off my tooth while eating my tea (Sod’s Law!) No problem…..I rang the practice first thing today and got an appointment at 10-15am.Tash quickly repaired my tooth. Excellent service all round!

The reception staff were friendly and extremely keen to help out when I needed a fairly urgent appointment for my elderly mother. At the 2 appointments I attended , the reception staff were again pleasant, polite and very helpful. The dentist and nurse were professional, thorough and caring and the 2 appointments were both very positive experiences. The practice itself is clean, tidy and attractive and is a very pleasant environment in which to be receiving healthcare.

From beginning to end I received the best of attention from Alex and Sam and felt care was taken at every step of the procedure . All the staff were unfailingly courteous and friendly and it was a relaxed atmosphere. I have no hesitation. recommending this practice .
