Fantastic experience: My husband recently had a lump removed from his face that was suspected skin cancer. We have been so impressed by the care and attention he has been given. The reception staff who been so kind and supportive, to the dermatologist who was so reassuring to my very nervous husband. The removal of the lump was done in a very professional manner and the after care advice was exceptional. The speed at which the pathology report came back was very impressive. Unfortunately it was skin cancer and a second procedure has been advised to ensure complete removal of cancer cells. As it has been over the Christmas period, we were asked to send photos of the wound to ensure that it was healing properly. Response to our messages has been very quick, advising us on how to treat the wound. JR Medical have gone above and beyond anything we expected with regard care & attention. Words cannot express how grateful we are and highly recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: My partner recently had a consultation about a worrying mole we were already on the NHS wait-list but told could take 6 weeks so booked a consult with JR medical. He was offered removal and a biopsy with a specialist at a good price 3 days later we booked and paid a deposit but then NHS got in touch and offered us an early appointment. The lovely staff at JR medical refunded the deposit in light of this which we wasn't expecting. Fantastic experience: I cant praise this practise and staff enough, from the minute you walk in you are made to feel comfortable and at ease, I have just had Blepharoplasty on upper eyes performed by Dr Lucy Glancey with Dr Shahrzad assisting and another two young ladies putting my mind at ease, it's been 1 week and i just had my stitches removed I can see a vast improvement already i wish i had got it done years ago. Negative experience: I am not impressed!! My husband went into the clinic last week to book an appointment to have a cherry angioma removed from his chest, he was given an appointment & charged a £75 deposit, they didn't tell him how much else he would be charged. When he went to the appointment he was told that it would cost a further £600 to remove this very small lump. We feel that this is an exorbitant amount & there is no way my husband would pay that, the costs should have been explained on booking the appointment. So we have lost £75 & my husband still has the lump! Not good at all!!

Fantastic experience: I have been going the jr medical for years. I did go to other places but i would never go anywhere else again as everything they do is amazing. I feel like they are true artists. Really taking their time & you can tell they really look at your face before they even begin to use any products so they can give you the best look. All of the staff were very helpful and gave me the necessary information about the procedure that I was due to have. The surgery went very well and a biopsy was taken. The result was given to me promptly and was normal. The follow up appointment reassured me that everything was alright. Fantastic experience: Having lived with a mole on my upper right forehead, it was never a problem until it became crusty and active in an outward manner becoming what was diagnosed as a Cutaneous Horn. This then became painful when touched or caught when showering or combing my hair. Earliest NHS appointment was 9 months down the line so seeing JR Medical’s address building on my way to Southend Hospital with a friend I decided to enquire and it turned out to be a great decision as they were welcoming, understanding, immediately investagative, assuring and informative of what the best recommended procedure should be for the best outcome both cosmetically and health wise, including a Histopathology report on the removed horn. From day1 enquiring to day 2 of the removal less than two weeks later and day 3 a week after that for post removal and dressing check to day 4 two weeks after that for post-op healing check and the issue of the Histopathology Report and day 5 a month later for skin/scar/recovery check and final sign off they were brilliant, professional and informative all the way through and the final result is that they did such an amazing job you cannot see where the original mole/horn/skin blemish was. They themselves even had difficulty locating it for their final photographic archive file. Absolutely top class, would recommend anyone with concerns for unsightly or uncomfortable skin lesion conditions to seek their advice and recommendations. One very satisfied patient. Mr Peter Reader. Negative experience: Had a bad experience with this husband and wife team. About 4 years ago I’ve payed £200 to infect eyes filets, which is dropped in big swollen begs under my eyes and when I came back in a couple of weeks time I added up only pay more for Botox. I now payed another clinic to desolve them. Wouldn’t recommend this place. I’ve got the payed amount on my bank statement do don’t tell me that you didn’t charge that or you don’t know who I am!

Fantastic experience: I recently visited JR Medical in August for a laser procedure for three areas, I’m not one who likes to attend medical centres, but I feel I have to comment not only on there utmost professionalism but there amazing after care service. The consultation process was very clear and we discussed the treatment and options, I went ahead and booked for Laser treatment for three lumps to be removed. A date was set for the following week the two Doctors were reassuring when I arrived and promptly took me through for the treatment that took no more than 20mins, all went according to plan and as explained at my initial consultation I then went back for a further 3 occasions so the doctor could check that the wounds were healing as they expected, after my final visit on Monday I was told that it was all fine and I now no longer needed to attend. Therefore I would highly recommend JR medical if you are in the south east area it is worth the effort to go as they provide a first class service from a very modern and clean medical centre. Special note to the receptionists who all were super polite and helpful when booking follow up visits.
