Fantastic experience: I’ve always been super nervous about going to the dentist, this stems from a childhood experience but the Thatched House Dental Practice has completely changed that for me. I originally had many treatments done under sedation, and the whole experience was far calmer and easier than I ever expected. Harmik and the whole team are incredibly kind, patient, and understanding. Everything was explained clearly, they checked in with me throughout, and I genuinely felt safe and looked after. The aftercare was just as reassuring — I was asked to come back a few days later to make sure everything was healing well, which really showed how much they care. Latest update (18/12/25): I am super proud to say that I have now had an appointment without sedation for the first time ever. Going forward, I am going to try for smaller procedures without — This is something I never thought I would be able to do, and it’s entirely thanks to the trust, confidence, and support that Harmik and his team have helped me build. If you are a nervous or anxious patient, I highly recommend the Thatched House Dental Practice. They don’t just treat teeth — they care for people. ❤️

He is very dedicated and his professionalism, clear communication, kindness and respect to his patients is exceptional. I have been to other dentists in the past but they don't match to Dr Hambarchian. The staff including the receptionist, nurses are very welcoming, and polite to me. The (place) dentist itself is very clean, tidy and hygiene is paramount. This is the best dentist and I highly recommend coming here. In my most recent experience, I had a toothache and I called the dentist, I spoke to the receptionist and she told me Mr Hambarchian will call me. Within a few minutes I received the call. He booked me an emergency appointment on the same day. Everything is explained in detail about my treatment.

Fantastic experience: Amazing dentist, I am genuinely phobic of the dentist and recently joined this practice and they made me feel so reassured. I had to have a root canal redone, prognosis wasn’t great on whether the tooth could be saved but they performed magic and it’s all good now. Very professional, clean and just good vibes. Fantastic experience: Simply put, Dr. Hambarchian is a very good dentist - he places dental health at the forefront of care, whereas other dentists I have visited come across as significantly more aesthetics focussed and more about speed as opposed to quality of work. He is also an extremely understanding and accommodating doctor for patients with dentistry anxiety, going out of his way to make sure I was comfortable during each and every session. The same can be said for his assistants, who uphold the same level of care. Fantastic experience: I can't recommend this dentist enough. It had been a few years (eek) since I had been to the dentist and unfortunately I needed quite a bit of treatment.This took place over several appointments in line with the treatment plan which was explained clearly at the start and as we went along. It felt like they genuinely care about my experience being treated and ongoing health of my teeth, and looking at comparative practices, they are also very reasonably priced.

Negative experience: I’m really disappointed with my experience at Thatched House Dental Practice. Initially, I was given hope that my teeth could be saved, but the treatment plan was never clearly explained. They kept adding to the contract, and I ended up paying almost double the amount we originally agreed upon. Toward the end, I was warned that the teeth might not last and was told I should consider getting crowns fitted—something that wasn’t even mentioned at the beginning as an option. I feel like they misled me, both financially and regarding the treatment plan. I would not recommend this practice to anyone.

Fantastic experience: I had my first treatment with Dr. H some 2 years ago, almost forgotten with my dental care until very recently. Amidst my fillings, one stood out. It was a hole underneath a crown. I think it had taken him about 20 min. He had avoided replacing the crown and so saved me a lot of money for now. I am very happy.

Fantastic experience: A truly outstanding experience with this practice. I am, or I was, very scared of the dentist and needed lots of work done to fix tooth and gum pain. The Dentist has been very patient with me and his team supportive. I have now been a client for two years and the teeth are in great shape. Fantastic experience: Where to begin? I have been a patient here for 20 years and will recommend the Thatched House Dental Surgery to any and all potential patients. I have moved away from the area, tried a number of other dentists, and I keep coming back for the very simple reason that Mr. Hambarchian is honest and direct with his patients and his work ethic is second to none. I have always walked away satisfied that he explained everything in detail, isn't pushy about doing any work you are unhappy with or cannot afford, and will always offer advice - from dental hygiene to how he expects your dental health will pan out - just to prepare you for all of the potential outcomes. On top of all that, his work is top notch - one of my 20 year old crowns is proof of just that. He states that he's just a "regular" dentist but, if that is so, I say that it's something that's very hard to come by these days.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Hambarchian extracted my wisdom tooth below the gum line. Pieces of tooth had broken off as the filling had fallen out, this happened during covid when only emergency work was provided (I was abroad, and it was only cleaned up). After which I’d put off seeing a dentist until I could ignore it no longer, after the last piece broke off above the gum. Dr. H took X-rays to ascertain that the tooth was not close to a nerve, otherwise I would need to go to Whipps Cross hospital, which I wanted to avoid as my friend went there for a tooth removal and got permanent nerve damage, so I was really relieved to avoid going. I don’t know how he did it but the tooth despite it being below the gum line came out cleanly, and fairly quickly and with minimal anxiety on my part. I highly recommend Dr. H, for his superior skills and reassuring manner, from the moment he answered the phone. I sent my mother to him for a root canal and he called to update me on her progress. I’m so glad I found a great dentist, as ones you can trust are hard to come by. Prices are very reasonable, more than worth it, and the support staff are caring and friendly. They will look after you!

Fantastic experience: I could not recommend this clinic enough and especially Dr. Harmik. A friend recommended this clinic to me, and I recommend it further. If you have problems with your teeth and you don't want to go to a doctor to remove your teeth... I recommend this clinic, they will do their best to save your teeth. In my case, I had work done with a crown made in another clinic that fell off and had to be redone, took a scan and discovered that I had an infection in the roots that was very visible on the first scan, he treated the rooth change old feeling and saved the tooth without pain and the new crown is exactly like my other tooth, you can't tell the difference. Besides the tooth saved by the dentist, he made absolutely all the small cavities he could find. It must mention that I was very afraid of the dentist, but I want to say that I felt absolutely nothing. There are 2 nurses who speak Romanian if you don't manage in English. the clinic is very clean and neat, the staff is very friendly and discreet, and as I said, Dr. Harmik will always try to make you comfortable. I highly recommend his services !

Fantastic experience: I was a visitor in London for 3 weeks and one of my front teeth fractured as a result of an accident.After calling different practices this dental surgery offered me an appointment the next day.I didn’t know what to expect ,as i am used to my dentist back home but I found the whole surgery and the dentists phenomenal !!The booking was so professional and the receptionist was super nice and friendly.The nurses were really kind, professional and friendly!This dental practice is very clean and well maintained!My broken tooth was fixed within 45 minutes and when I looked in the mirror I couldn’t believe how perfect their job was.The dentist did full examination and x-rays with my permission and explained to me with pictures and x-rays that I needed another 2 filings and told me to have it fixed back home, as i was about to travel back 2 days later.I want to thank this Dentist, Receptionist and the Nurses for being so professional,kind and friendly !I wish they were my permanent dentists and huge thank you to all of them !!! Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this dentist practice enough! Dr Hambarchian has been looking after my teeth since I was a little girl and I am so grateful for his expertise and service. He is so incredibly talented, patient and genuinely wants you to leave happy with your smile. He pays attention to detail and always checks to make sure you are comfortable. I have had several treatments and regular check ups here and he always provides me with tips and advice on how to keep my teeth and gums healthy. Fantastic experience: I have used this dentist a number of times now and have also registered my daughter as a result of the excellent service I received. I needed my wisdom teeth removed and the service and speed of care was exceptional. They accommodated me despite not being on their records and at a good price. My daughter has now had her third appointment with Thatched House and I am very happy with their friendly and warm nature- she enjoys visits to the dentist because of this. My partner has been with the practice for over 40 years and has nothing but praise for Mr Harmik and his dedicated and professional team.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this dentist surgery! Dr Hambarchian and his team are fantastic, everyone is so friendly and helpful. I hadn’t been to a dentist in years as I was terrified but since being under Dr Hambarchian’s care I now have treatment done without needing sedation. He has looked after my teeth for many years now and always explains treatment thoroughly so I understand what he’s going to be doing and that I agree with the plan. Even through the pandemic him and his team were amazing and as soon as they opened up he saw me and their protocols and procedures regarding hygiene etc are brilliant and he’s still doing them now to make sure us and his team are safeguarded. I’m absolutely gutted that we are going to be losing him as an nhs dentist but he has to do what’s best for him and his team. Fantastic experience: My experience of this dental practice is Dr Hambarchian absolutely the best dentist I have ever know and the staff are very polite and friendly. Dr Hambarchian has looked after my teeth now for many many years when I started going to see him I had to be put under sedation for any work that was needed even if it was just a clean, and from then he worked with me gave me the confidence to try work on my teeth without any sedation and now I’m not frightened of any work that is done and haven’t for quite a few years. What I like the most about Dr Hambarchian is that rather than pulling a tooth out for the sake of it he will work with you to try and save the tooth explaining how to look after your gums as much as your teeth because your gums are more important so he will give you as much help and explanation to keep your teeth rather than loose them, I will be very very sad to loose this NHS dental practice as will many many people. Thank you Dr Hambarchian for your many years of patience with me and looking after my teeth so I still have my smile many many thanks.

Fantastic experience: Truly Dr. Hambarchian is the most professional, friendly, caring dentist I have ever met. He explains everything thoroughly and answers every question. The past 6 months have been a very long journey, I had several different treatments done at this practice to restore my teeth health and my smile. Appointments need to be booked well ahead of time, but it is absolutely worth the wait, you get better care than anywhere else. You also get a phone call and a text reminder about upcoming appointments. When I had first visited the practice, the dentist put together a treatment plan that has been carried out step by step over the past few months. I couldn't be more happy and grateful. The staff is super friendly and helpful too. They go that extra mile! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to give a fair and Honest review so I have waited two month after treatment to share my experience: Due to negligence from my previous dentist I had been suffering from excruciating pain I decided to contact this dentist surgery as an emergency, at the time I was unaware how serious the problem was, it had resulted in me needing two urgent root canals to save my teeth. From the beginning of my treatment till the end the dentist done such an amazing job, he spent a lot of time throughout the journey explaining the process and procedures that needed to be done, allowing me to make informed choices. When I started treatment for my root canal he made me feel very comfortable and took things at my pace, the dentist was very passionate in making sure to deliver the best possible care. As a result of having an allergic reaction to antibiotics given when contacting the practice the team went above and beyond to help me making sure the situation didn’t escalate. So I would like to thank the team for their help and support I really do appreciate the work you guys do!! Most of my family want to switch and have now signed up to this dental practice due to my experience, I honestly can’t recommended this place enough. Once again I would like to thank the Thatched house dentist team in Leytonstone!!!

Fantastic experience: The best Dental care I have ever experienced! They are simply amazing! The professionalism and friendliness of the whole team is outstanding. Dr Hambarchian is by far the most competent, expert, caring, patient, meticulous and friendly Dentist I have ever had.  I’ve been going with him for a complicated and long process, full dental clearance, visiting every month for multiple teeth extractions. My teeth were in such poor state causing  me excruciating pain for months.. before an emergency appointment with him and been under his outstanding care ever since .. I can honestly say that Dr Hambarchian and his amazing nurses gave me my life back! Every visit is like visiting friends. I couldn’t be more grateful and happier with the results. Negative experience: I was using this dentist for a while. Since using another, it seems like my treatments didn’t need to be so expensive. I was told that I should have a hygienist appointment every 3 months and that needed to do a double session deep clean with a compulsory check-up for 5 minutes at the beginning costing about £180 in total. Now my new dentist has a separate hygienist, and say I don’t need to do this compulsory check up when I visit the hygienist and also don’t need such a long session which was sometimes in past was waiting 20 minutes for the local anaesthetic to kick in. The check up was £35 and definitely not necessary before each hygienist. I did dispute that at the time but told you always need a check up. Feel a bit ripped off now.

Negative experience: I would like to preface this review by saying that the dentist is very proferssional, friendly and helpful but I cannot recommend this clinic as it is almost impossible to schedule appointments in an acceptable amount of time even as a private patient. The earliest appointments takes months in advance and there are no spaces for any emergency appointments when it was needed while a promised callback was not given. My appoinment was canceled with 2 hours notice on the day itself due to illness of the dentist and they can only offer an earliest reschedule at least 1.5 months later. This is unacceptable as cancelled appointment on their fault which require leave from work should not require being placed back on the waiting list again and should have been rescheduled to a convenient time. Avoid unless you wish to wait months for any treatment.

Fantastic experience: I have posted a review of my experience with this fine establishment previously on a separate platform. I have just undergone some treatment over the past four months at this dental practice. I do not believe that there are many words that will describe my experience with the staff or the dental practitioners. You are greeted with smiles the minute you enter this establishment. The staff are very friendly. I am normally treated by Dr. Azadeh Soltani. She is the best dentist that I have had the pleasure of being treated by. Very thorough, very precise and very knowledgeable. She takes pride in her work and you can clearly see that she enjoys the field that she is in. This echoes in the way you are treated. I had a replacement crown fitted after some root canal treatment. The whole procedure felt completely pain-free and I was told about every step of the treatment as it went ahead. I’m not normally comfortable around injections, but due to the obviously apparent experience of Dr. Soltani, I did not feel a thing. I have been going to this practice for many years now, and I cannot see myself changing. Highly recommended, very professional. Keep up the good work guys. Thank you.
