Negative experience: Really upsetting Ive been since April paying for a treatment that should be free, as I am on universal credit. The previous dentist didn't finished my treatment i still have 2 root canal treatments to be done. Now the stuff telling me I have to pay for cancellation fee which I've paid in the past as it was my own fault. Now they want me to pay againa cancelation fee. While i am already paying 58£ monthly for a treatment since April, thats is not finished. Camon guys I know you can do better than this . Or I ll just cancel my direct debit and start a legal action.

Negative experience: Let's see, where to start? Specifically said I didn't want a hard plastic mouthguard as they cause me terrible pain - charged me £350 saying this would not be such. It was. Lost my moulds to make a soft guard. Cancelled my appointments with no explanation on at least 7 occasions - once when I had already showed up. As a disabled person getting out is very difficult and they don't care. Charged £75 for a 3 minute scale/polish because he was rushing off for a trip with his friends who were in the waiting room. Make you keep coming back for seperate appointnents for what could be done in one. Lock for lunch and leave you to sit in their gross car park in the rain. Scan machine that you put your whole mouth over was not cleaned before or after I used it so I can't imagine it ever is. Spent nearly £1000 to be left with no help for my condition whatsoever. (TMJ/bruxism fractured jaw joint). How I have been treated has left me upset, traumatised and in debt. My jaw hurts a lot. Thanks for nothing.

Delighted with the results of my perfect smile makeover done at a reasonable cost and completed much quicker than I thought. Pain free and manageable maintenance. All options discussed and decisions made with affordability in mind. I actually enjoy visiting, and have had no issues whatsoever 2 years later! Highly recommended.

Negative experience: ZDECYDOWANIE ZACHĘCAM ABY UNIKAĆ TEGO MIEJSCA. Dawno temu wmówiono mi tam, że mój problem jest zbyt skomplikowany żeby załatwić to za jednym razem. Podczas wakacji w Polsce, szybko i bezboleśnie zostało to wyleczone od ręki. Dzisiaj ponownie, podczas drugiej wizyty wyznaczono mi kolejny, trzeci termin na dokończenie leczenia kanałowego, które można byłoby załatwić już dzisiaj. To smutne, że w Szkocji leczenie zębów jest na tak drastycznie niskim poziomie, szczególnie, że kosztuje tak drogo.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member of this practice for around two year. The receptionist are super friendly to deal with and nothing is ever too much. My dentist Dr John Tryfonas is exceptional at dentistry. He explains all options clearly and doesn’t enforce any treatment . I fully recommend Duddingston park and wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Negative experience: I have not personally had any treatment at this surgery, and nor will I, due to the experience of my partner using the clinic and their implant ‘specialist’ to provide 1 implant, with a view to having more in the future. However, his experience has been horrific and is still currently not finished!!! October 2021 this process was started, lab work not being ready was the usual excuse. Now he wants to complain, he is being treated in an awful manner, being pre judged before entering the building and stereotyped. Highly unprofessional manner, very rude implant dentist, would absolutely not recommend this clinic.

Fantastic experience: The customer service of receptionist is impressive but Dr. Abraham McCarthy is brilliant! I follow his advice to refill my lips and I can guarantee that he just not refill my lips, he put as well a very big smile in my face! He recommended me Volbella and I am very happy! I explained him my concerns because I didn’t want to waste more money and don’t have results. The result has exceeded my expectations! THANK YOU!!!

Negative experience: Had a filling done with no sculpting whatsoever. It's just as if the dentist took the filling material and shoved it in with his finger. Also left barely any room between the two teeth to floss. A good dentist would build the material to mimic the anatomy of a tooth. Had to get it redone elsewhere. Save yourself some money and avoid this practice unless you have no other choice.

Fantastic experience: First visit, and first time going private - just needing a dentist and no NHS dentists taking on new patients, so was pleased to find this practice, I have a relative who is a Dental Nurse for a private practice so was aware that going this way is expensive. However, from my first call enquiring if they have availability and being told initial new patient consult was only £59, my experience has got better and better; from talking to friendly, very helpful Reception Staff, to Nurse and Dr Fotiadou. I was very pleasantly surprised at being quoted for a filling and a clean £80 and £90, truly was expecting to be told twice this or even more. No monthly fees also a massive plus, you only pay for the treatment you want/get. Going back next week for my filling and don't feel as anxious I would normally as everything felt so relaxed and professional on my first visit. Have already been telling my work colleagues to try here! Thank you everyone I've spoken to, and who has dealt with me face-to-face, I'm looking forward to seeing you on my next visit.....and who says that to their dentist!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of the clinic since it opened, very clean, hygiene is on point, lovely decor, the manager and staff are very friendly at the desk, Dr Chrissi Fotiadou is absolutely amazing and goes through all the procedure with you, makes you feel relaxed it's a pleasure having her at the clinic.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend this dental practice and Dr Chrissy Fotiadou if you want to see a dentist in Edinburgh!! The staff are very nice and made me feel at ease. I just got my wisdom tooth extracted with Dr Fotiadou, who really cares the patients. She always asked me if I was ok or if I felt better during the surgery, which made me feel safe and secure. It was a great experience, and she is very kind and professional. She delivered amazingly at the highest level, and answered all my questions without any hesitation which helped me reduce worries. I’m very grateful for it! I just hope the future patients can get her too, and you will give a thumbs up!

Fantastic experience: I had a lovely experience with Dr Chrissy Fotiadou! I had been there before and she has done an excellent scaling to my teeth. Never felt them cleaner! She had suggested to take out my last wisdom tooth due to its bad position causing me daily bleeding while brushing. So, this time I went for the extraction. She was super-patient with me since I started shaking while I entered the surgery. She allowed me some time to relax and did not push me. She made me feel very comfortable. Once I opened my mouth, the tooth was out in 30 seconds!!! She kept talking to me and relaxing me for even those 30s. I felt a great relief while leaving the practice, having received all the after care guidance I needed. Definitely visiting her again!

Negative experience: I was at this dentist few months ago. ,i got a filling ,cost of £100. it fell apart within 3 days, I had to arrange a date to go back,,,,i never got past the reception desk, As they ask me to fill in more paper work,I told them to ram it, I am now a member of Portobello dentist, great staff and dentists at Portobello surgery, As another reviewer say ,never the same dentist at pearl dentist, I wonder how that it, Stay away or you will be back again and again. And will cost you more £££££,we will see if pearl responds as they did not respond to my £100 refund. thanks John

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Nikki, very professional and gentle. She solved my every problem. Reception ladies extremely nice and helpful. I recommend 100 percent.

Negative experience: You have lunch brake from 1 pm to 2 pm and you do not pick up your phone when you have a brake. You must joking. I saw two girls who do completely nothing and no patiences at all. Strongly not recommend and avoid for any reason look others opinions also.

Fantastic experience: Went in for a root canal treatment after having a bad experience at a previous dentist elsewhere. Dr Niki was super professional, explained everything really well and was very gentle. Would highly recommend her! Staff at reception are lovely as well.

Negative experience: Avoid this unprofessional "clinic". I confirmed that I would like to go ahead with surgical extraction of troublesome wisdom teeth at the end of September. I was waiting for months for the date to be scheduled for me just to find out that the clinic NEVER sent the referral to the surgeon. I asked multiple times in the meantime and everytime I was assured it was sent and "to be patient". On a separate note, the dentists are constantly changing there. Don't expect to see the same face next time you visit.

Negative experience: I was so pleased to learn they could replace my retainer here and I didn’t have to go to Glasgow to get it fixed. However in less than a month it has broken 3 times. First time straight after it was fitted. Second time two weeks later. Then again two weeks later. Iv had this since I was 13/14 I’m now 25. In that time it’s broken once maybe 6 years ago. Then when I came into this dental practice the first time to get it repaired. The staff are pleasant but clearly my procedure has not been done correctly. It has left me irritated having something annoy my mouth, It has taken time of me to go into get it fixed It’s causing movement to my teeth every time it breaks. It’s a waste of my time and dentist time I’m not confident it was done correctly. It so why so many breakage, it’s not normal. I paid £100 for this process which I’m going to have to repeat elsewhere due to incompetence. Unless your going to give me my money back?

Negative experience: So I move from the city center to here because I needed an orthodontist and explined the issue on the phone. 1 minute i have been inside. She would not do it and charge me for something that is complicated. Really? Maybe next time employ somebody with more experience.

Negative experience: I went to Pearl Dental for an Air Abrasion Clean and Teeth Hygiene examination. However, I left the surgery with a sore in my mouth, swollen glands and a blocked ear! When they used the suction tool to remove the saliva, the tool sucked underneath my tongue and it started bleeding. I raised my hand for them to stop but they hadn’t noticed the blood - the suction tool was full of it. They tried to remove the blood with a gauze but they hurt my tongue in the process. When I arrived home, I saw that they had refunded my money. They told me that they would ring to check that I was okay after the ordeal, however, I never heard from them. Three weeks later, I still have a large ulcer under my tongue and smaller ulcers on my gums. I would like to warn future customers about the lack of professionalism of this dental practice. They are using outdated dental instruments and the level of professionalism and customer service was extremely poor, both from dental staff and receptionists.

Fantastic experience: What a Fabulous family dentist. I would highly recommend this practice. My daughter was slightly nervous. Her treatment was explained to her, step by step. This really put her mind at ease. I'm so glad I joined this dentist. I can smile with confidence now.

Fantastic experience: Well, I am not an expert on the dentists' clinical quality assessment, however; I have been their patient/client for over four years now, and all I can say is that I am very satisfied with their service. The reason for which I have decided to rate them is that on a few occasions (4 or 5 to be precise-ish) I really needed an emergency appointment and I have always got it on the same day. Obviously, that is not the only positive feature they possess, but I need to get back to my studies. Bye.... ;)

Fantastic experience: I've recently moved up to Edinburgh with work and was overdue a check-up with the dentist; I phoned up Pearl Dental Clinic and spoke to a very polite receptionist who was able to squeeze me in for an appointment at a time that was suitable around my work commitments. Upon arrival at the surgery both the receptionist staff were very accommodating and helpful, the decor was modern and the whole place was very clean and tidy. The dentist who treated me and dental nurse were also very friendly and professional. I was very satisfied with my treatment and would highly recommend to anyone considering visiting the practice.

Negative experience: The dentist are very nice but unfortunately the receptionist has no idea how to ask if the patience number is correct , u have to indirectly ask the questions for her to ask u that, and further more then making out I'm shouting at her when she said she can't hear me at the beginning of the call like that's taking the mic , giving bits and bobs of information is just a result of bad management or she's crap at her job, training would help !!!

Fantastic experience: I was struggling to find a dentist at the last minute when I had a tooth ache. I phoned them up and managed to get the appointment same day. I liked the service as everyone (reception, nurses and dentist) were friendly which put me at ease ( i am very anxious).
