Fantastic experience: Fabulous dental practice with really personalised care. I cannot recommend highly enough. The hygienist and dentist work closely together and the reception staff are super friendly and helpful. I would not go anywhere else and actually enjoy my appointments!

Fantastic experience: I recently undertook two sessions to replace six fillings, two major and four minor. The whole experience was very professionally done by dentist Prashil and his nurse Grace. I experienced no pain whatsoever and was kept informed throughout. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone needing treatment or just a check up.

Fantastic experience: Whilst many people would not look forward to seeing their dentist I have no qualms about seeing Tanya. She is very knowledgeable, professional, skilled, kind and gentle. I trust her implicity and wouldn't have kept my smile without her. I travel 44 miles each way from my home to Harpenden, and it's always a pleasure to see her.

Fantastic experience: People are surprised when they discover that we drive 44 miles (a high percentage on the M1) to visit the dentist. It's a no brainer when you have found a dentist (Tanya) who since we met her has provided a level of care that is second to none and very rare to find in this day and age. Not many people say they enjoy going to the dentist, my wife and I certainly feel that way. Thank you for your care.

Fantastic experience: From the moment you walk through the door, you are made to feel welcome. The receptions are polite and friendly, as are the dental nurses. Whilst you sit in the waiting room, the relaxed music in the background calms your nerves. It is very clean and tidy with information leaflets, if you want them. My appointment was with Daljit, she is so calm and patient and was very good with me (a very nervous patient) I didn’t feel a thing, not the injection or the treatment. Would highly recommend

Fantastic experience: I had my crown lengthening treatment completed over a course of a few weeks and my beautiful ceramic new canine crown fitted today. I am so pleased with it, I can smile again without an embarrassing goofy gap! I cannot thank my NHS dentist enough for referring me to these wonderful specialists! Fantastic experience: I first came to Harpenden Dental Centre two years ago. Several very old, large fillings had disintegrated leaving me with an uncomfortable gap and l felt my smile didn't look great. I initially saw Shavani who was kind, reassuring and thoroughly professional. After exploring various options, l decided to have a root canal and crown, which saved the rest of the problem tooth. I also ended up having an implant when l broke another tooth! All the work was performed by dentists who specialise in these procedures and l'm delighted with the ongoing results. Thanks to their skill and care, my teeth are in much better shape and l highly recommend this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: If you have to go to the dentist then I cannot recommend HDC highly enough. Admittedly I have experience of only one dentist (implant specialist Emiliano Zabanoni who I have recommended to three friends all of whom have been as pleased with the results as I am) but the practice - which has recently been refurbished and extended - is efficient, bright and the pleasant and helpful staff make the visit as relaxed and calming as it can be. If I could give them 6 stars, I would.

Negative experience: Went there for an airflow hygiene clean but the hygienist did not use airflow to clean my tooth, she used the traditional method and charged the airflow fee. She only clean 20 % of my tooth. It was not what I signed up for. It was not pleasant, I called to express my concern and the receptionist was cold and avoid the responsibility.

Fantastic experience: I was recently referred, by my usual Dental Practitioner, to Mr Manjeet Ahlowalia at the Harpenden Dental Referral Centre for a complex Root Canal Procedure. The reception staff were welcoming and efficient with the waiting area providing a light, airy and calm environment in which to await my consultation. Mr Ahlowalia explained the situation I was in, possible ways to proceed and how he envisioned performing the root canal to optimise a successful outcome. He outlined possible pros and cons with the procedure as well as its success or failure percentage rates. His approachable, professional manner and obvious expertise meant I was confident to proceed. My mobility issues were recognised and accommodated and my physical comfort and wellbeing were closely monitored throughout the lengthy procedure. The attending dental nurse was exceptional. Her attentive, caring, professionalism and friendly, reassuring personality helped to create a low stress environment. I personally do not find attending dental appointments or undergoing required treatments a traumatic or stressful experience. However, for those who might, for the care and attention I received at the Harpenden Dental Referral Centre, I have no hesitation in highly recommending to others Mr Ahlowalia and his excellent supporting colleagues I am an extremely satisfied client who should the need arise would not hesitate to return for future treatment. Fantastic experience: I cannot fault the team at Harpenden dental centre, everyone has been amazing with my and my treatment. I have been going for over a year for various things and everyone I have seen has been so patient and kind with me, with their only aim, to see me confident enough to be able to smile again. I will be staying with this practice for my regular dental treatment as well, as they are the only place that I felt considered my feelings/age etc when deciding what course of action to take and what would be best for me. They have always been completely honest with me and helped me whenever they could when I have faced other issues. I say this about not only all the people I have seen for treatments but the ladies in reception too. They are all fab. I highly recommend.

I’m able to relax during the most lengthy treatments for implant surgery and never suffer any pain or discomfort. Fantastic experience: I have used this practice for nearly 15 years now and couldn't recommend them enough. Dentists are kind, patient and non judgemental. The quality of their work is also excellent. The only negative is parking with the expanded surgery space as it's not the easiest and often you can end up down the road.

Negative experience: Phoned to make an appointment as a new customer and the receptionist was very rude and not giving clear information and wanted to charge for an emergency booking that is in a week’s time.Well if it is in a week’s time that is not an emergency isn’t it? She was talking as if I owed them something. After explaining my issue she said they can’t deal with the problem as I had some work done on my molar by other dentist. Well that tells me that you are a very incompetent dental clinic.

Fantastic experience: Fabulous service in a lovely setting, as a patient with a fear of treatment I joined this surgery after many recommendations from a local FB group. My anxiety was such that I had avoided treatment for many years & I was quite tearful in the beginning, but Rachel Kier has been the most wonderful dentist! She has been endlessly kind, gentle, reassuring & thorough. Always going at a pace you're comfortable with & checking in along the way, I cannot rate Rachel enough!

Negative experience: I had the worst experience at the dentist here. The hygienist was rude and inconsiderate relaying information loudly in the reception where everybody could hear. Those discussions should have be done more politely in the consultation room.The most appalling customer service I have ever come across. She was no only rude, she was careless and rough, she made me bleed , cause pain and tried to blame it on me , telling me that I had sensitive gums and teeth ( but I don’t) . Moreover, she was not bothered to make sure that the suction was in the correct place and had water pouring down my neck and my clothes …… it was horrible, I couldn’t wait to get out of there and will never go back .

I’ve recently joined Harpenden dental centre and Shivani Kunasingam is the most Sweetest caring understanding dentist I’ve ever had .Im a nervous patient and unfortunately I have a strong gag reflex that I find so embarrassing I dread going to the Dentist.My experience with Shivani is starting to change that,Her care before during and after having my wisdom tooth extracted was excellent, Every thing was explained in detail step by step with care and compassion. The Nurses and receptionists are friendly and welcoming. I’m so impressed. After being with another dental practice for nearly 20 years the difference between them and HDC is like night and day I’m so glad I took the plunge and moved . Thank you .

Fantastic experience: I recently attended two appointments with Tanya for the replacement of veneers on my front teeth and to have a crown fitted. On both occasions, she took time to explain my treatment options carefully. I felt at ease during the procedures as Tanya always informed me what the next step would be. I was referred to Manjeet by Rachel at Pure Dentistry (love it when people collaborate with honour and respect of each other's skills). He was amazing. He immediately put me at ease and the only very slight twinge of pain was from the anaesthetic injection! Definitely five stars for this guy! Thank you so much. Fantastic experience: I, along with my husband and 2 sons have been attending HDC since it first opened as Manjeet was my dentist in St. Albans before setting up his own practice, probably 20+ years ago. . Without going in to detail, I have been dentally challenged due to genetics and truly appalling treatment from a dentist back in my teens. Manjeet is highly skilled as are the rest of the team. Emiliano is most definitely the expert to see with regards to implants etc. I have been treated by Sheri for the past few years and she is so calm, gentle, skilled and in truth, saved/resurrected my teeth on many occasions. It's fair to say that she has become my Fairy Godmother. They concentrate on preserving ones teeth with minimal intervention. My youngest son has also had some auto immune dental issues and Sheri has quite literally saved his teeth and smile. We all truly cannot speak highly enough about the practice and their professionalism. The surgery has all the latest technology and very welcoming Reception/Waiting area.

Fantastic experience: I had issues with my tooth for over 6 months. After seeing a few dentists, we could not get to the root cause. The persistent pain started to get me down. After six months of pain I went to see Sheri at Harpenden Dental Centre. Sheri managed to get to the root cause of the pain and we were able to fix the problem without having to take drastic measures. Sheri is calm, gentle with strong diagnosis capabilities. This is a rare skill that saved me from potentially long term pain and lot of additional cost! She was brilliant at treating the root cause. The tooth is now fine all thanks to Sheri’s diligence and incredible diagnosis skills.
