Fantastic experience: Earlier this week I had a new denture fitted by Steve, after a scanning appointment, followed by a fitting. The whole process took 4 weeks, but the denture fits perfectly and has freed me from discomfort. Thank you, Steve, and the practice.

Our dentist Jenny was fantastic, putting us at ease with her friendly manner and her standard of service was first class. Cannot praise her highly enough. Laura the hygienist was wonderful too. She was so thorough while put us at ease with her caring manner.

Fantastic experience: At every level we are so impressed with this surgery. The receptionists are always pleasant and professional and give such encouragement from first contact. Stephen Kell is efficient and puts you at your ease. My wife needed a filling repair and he was able to do it as part of the appointment. Brilliant! And hygienist Laura is a delight. She is thorough and so caring for your wellbeing. This practice deserves its five stars!

Fantastic experience: Recently started as a new patient at this practice. Phoned a couple of other places in Lewes first, but wasn't at all impressed with the way they handled my enquiry. So glad I ended up here! My overall experience so far has been fantastic - from the friendly reception staff, to Abs the dentist and his assistant and today I visited Sue the hygenist for the first time. I was quite nervous after not having been to a dentist for a bit too long, but without any judgement they have been kind, gentle and professional and my teeth are looking and feeling so much better already. I can highly recommend this practice - thanks guys! Can't say I am actually looking forward to my next appointment but I am definitely not dreading it either :)

Fantastic experience: I have been with Lewes High Street Dental Practice for many years now. I find that Steve and all the team are so professional, friendly and caring. Although I am quite a nervous patient I am soon at ease on entering the practice. I have recently had crown work and work on my front teeth which I must admit that I wasn’t looking forward to. This work was carried out very efficiently with no pain or discomfort and I am delighted with the outcome. I can’t speak highly enough of this Practice and would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Even I had a lot of issues with my teeth, I was struggling to get treatment at another dentist for a reason. So I made an appointment with Greg at Lewes high street dental practice to ask if he can help. After that, treatment went so well. I had a root canal and an implant treatment by him and each treatment session went efficiently and all in time. I'm so grateful for his help and very happy that I can chew properly again. Fantastic experience: I travel out of my way to visit and have treatment at this practise because the whole team are so friendly, Steve Kell is very gentle, reassuring and explains what he’s doing and I’m always made to feel so welcome. All in all a great dental practise that offers many services for clients.

Fantastic experience: Having been a patient at this dental practice for 9 years now, I can't recommend it highly enough – but in particular, dentist Dr Abz Beshara, and hygienist Rachael Perrie. I've had consistently excellent treatment there and have found every member of staff unfailingly pleasant. I always leave feeling very well looked after.

I was delighted with the warm welcome and standard of service I received. Fantastic experience: I am so glad that I travelled out of my town and came to Steve Kell for a consultation in this lovely practice. I have had both NHS and Private treatment in the past. Steven Kell has a calm, friendly and measured manner and he and his assistant made a careful and thorough examination. This was then was explained to me aided by the Xray views . Treatment options were then given with absolutely no pressure to proceed. I had time to think and plan the appointments the reception staff are lovely . Last Thursday the work was completed and fillings ,crowns and a front tooth restored. I am thrilled with my smile. I can't stop smiling. The result far exceeded my hopes and it is a huge boost. Fantastic experience: This is an excellent dental practice with extremely skilled, professional, kind and diligent staff who offer the best dental services I have ever come across. I hadn't been to the dentist in quite a while before I registered with Lewes High Street Dental Practice so I was a little nervous about what my first check-up would reveal. However, my dentist, Dr Abz Beshara, and dental nurse, Gill Sandalls, really put my mind at rest. My first check-up did show that I needed to have some work done, but I was offered a couple of appointments the very next day. Although I was not available to take those slots, I was given a hygienist appointment within two days and got a surgical appointment within a week. During surgery, Abz and Gill, once again, did a fantastic job of looking after me. I experienced no pain or discomfort during or after the procedure and left feeling incredibly good about my smile. My hygienist appointment, with Rachael Perrie, also went incredibly well. After seeing Rachael, I hadn't seen my teeth that white and clean in quite a few years. Both Rachael and Abz gave me some really good practical advice on how to look after my teeth.

Fantastic experience: I had been looking for treatment on the NHS when I moved here 3 years ago but had to go private. However, I was very pleased with the standard of work, cost and good nature of my dentist Abz. He listens, gives good advice and pays attention to detail. A very competent dentist. The overall experience at the practice surpasses other practices and more to the point, as a senior citizen, he has resolved pre existing issues I had experienced with my teeth in the past.

Appointments are readily available if you plan ahead and recent experience is that if you need an emergency appointment, there’s no problem with that either. Negative experience: Definitely Not Recommend, extremely disappointed with Gregory Coffey's treatment which caused me a lot of unnecessary pain, as a professional you should know not to cover cavity with temporary fillings, did it anyway, this lead to infection and major pain. Went back next day and had been seen by another dentist who sent me back home with antibiotics for the infection, instead of taking out the filling and cleaning the cavity to rectify Coffey's mistake. Horrible experience, no remorse or refund for Coffey's side. Taking him to Dental Council

Fantastic experience: Steven Kell was fantastically responsive to my teenage son's dental emergency after his teeth were dislodged in a football match. His sports dentistry knowledge led to an immediate appointment with orthodonist, Richard Long at the practice who was able to fit braces immediately. We received great service from friendly staff and can't thank them enough.

Positive experience: I am an unlikely survivor - an NHS patient and my dentist is outstanding - skilful, kind and patient. I am only sorry that others can no longer access her services - hence 4/5 stars. I do hope this no NHS policy is reversed as soon as possible for other Lewes residents.

During this same period the practice has been modernised to one that is well equipped, organised, and friendly, with a comfortable waiting room. Fantastic experience: Duty of care and compassion are qualities rarely seen in health practices during this Covid-19 era, but their presence by Steven Kell and his staff are refreshingly evident. My elderly Dad has had a series of appointments, culminating in a complete set of new dentures, so at the age of 90 he is good to go for a few more years yet and is delighted with his new teeth!
