Fantastic experience: I have recently been a patient at this practice, and I was in admiration in how friendly the reception staff were. The practice is most welcoming, with a relaxing environment. My dentist was Scot, and as I am a very nervous patient when it comes to visiting the dentist! ... I found Scot a very gentle and reassuring professional dentist, it seemed as though he gave me a lot of time to feel relaxed, also providing me with the necessary information on my treatment.

Fantastic experience: I'm not the bravest of people when it comes to the dentist but Scott Bowman is wonderful. Gentle but extremely thorough and explains everything before proceeding. I no longer fear attending the dentist.The only downside to me is the climb up the mountain to get there!

Fantastic experience: I moved to IDC from another Ivybridge Dentist about 18 months ago. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The practice is clean, light and airy. Peter Revel is my dentist, and he is extremely knowledgeable and a skilled technician. I would also add that the charges are half that of my previous practice. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: I had cause to see Joe, one of the centre's dentists last week. In short, Joe was amazing. His customer service was exemplary, explaining every thing he did with empathy, reassurance and precision. Joe is a credit to the centre and to his profession. In fact, all the staff at IDC are exceptionally friendly, understanding and efficient. I must also mention Victoria, the hygienist, who is equally fantastic at her job treating patients with the upmost care and unrivaled professional expertise. Well done all!

Fantastic experience: I am pleased I contacted the practice when my mother needed a new dentist. From the outset we have been treated well by all the people involved. Joe and his nurse have been outstanding and treated my mother with the utmost kindness. A few injections and extractions were needed and Joe’s approach was both considerate and professional. Fantastic experience: I've only been twice but the dental care and patient care is excellent. I would really recommend anyone to come here especially anyone struggling with nerves and anxiety. I travel a long way to come here after being recommended by a friend and I wouldn't go anywhere else now.

Fantastic experience: Very pleased with the care at my new dentist. I hate going to the dentist but they were so kind and reassuring, didn't rush, explained what they were doing and paid great attention to detail. First time I've neither fainted or been sick from shock at a dentist!! Great work.

Negative experience: Opening hours are supposed to be from 9am onwards however I have just called at 09:16 and they're closed! I have a dental issue so it looks like I am now heading to A&E. Perhaps after going 'private' recently they now charge to open the door on time or answer the phone? Poor.

Negative experience: Looks like they are writing off their NHS patients. I tried to book while I was in with my last checkup and was told I couldn't book myself in for my next appointment because they no longer book in advance of 6 months. Called back after 6 months and was told that I was overdue for an appointment and was being struck off. Then got told it was basically because negotiations had not gone well with the government, so they had no choice and I wasn't actually overdue. Such a shame because they were great for many years.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency tooth extraction. Scott my dentist calmly talked me through the procedure and explained what work was going to be carried out. Unfortunately he ran into difficulties with the extraction, again he explained and talked through options. Whilst I was waiting for the infection to pass I received great care via follow-up phone calls and even practice manager Peter took his time to contact me. It certainly put me at ease in returning a month later to complete the treatment. The dental nurses were also so kind to me. Thank you . I really thought I would not ever smile again leaving a dentist but I did on leaving Ivybridge Dental care. Top job

Fantastic experience: I have used the practise ever since it opened, with Mr Brown. I have had first class treatment with Scott, very friendly & puts you at ease. I attended the practise on the 21st of February 2024. Only to be told, the practise is no longer going to treat NH paitients & only Private dental treatment will be available, this is due to The Government not giving the dentist enough funding, to carry on treating NH patients.

I was given an appointment quickly and every member of the team I have met has been professional and friendly. Their charges are very reasonable and I would not hesitate to recommend them.

Negative experience: Continue serving NHS dentist or go bust please. Disgraceful. Last owner drove round in an expensive subaru so clearly making loads of money and could afford to stay as an NHS dentist

Having a filling has changed since I last needed one. Joe and Alice were amazing and it was totally pain free and chilled. Thank you for taking over the practice - please stay!!

Positive experience: I’ve never been one for enjoying time at the dentist’s, yet I very rarely have to have any work done lucky me! I went for my routine check up and they decided I needed a visit to the hygienist, so I was booked in a few weeks later to see her. Nice friendly staff, who told me what they were going to do, nice clean bright airy room, very professional overall, just not a procedure I have had to have before. Good follow up appointment 6weeks later which was included in the price. This dentist is both NHS and private. I’m not sure if they are currently taking on new NHS patients right now, but it’s worth an ask. The prices are in keeping with the current cost of living. The waiting area is clean and well laid out with stylish chairs and fancy fake plants that I actually thought were real they are that good! The staff look professional in their matching outfits and the are polite and helpful and welcome you with a smile. There is disabled parking out the front of the building and a lift for wheelchairs inside the front door as the reception etc is on the first floor. The hill up to the building is rather steep but luckily it’s not a long hill I believe the roof is living which is a nice feature. One of the nicest dental practices I’ve been to, I would recommend it.

Fantastic experience: Due to my age, I'm expremely nervous of dentists. They didn't have injections when I was a child so we suffered the pain. Even though times have changed, my experience has stayed with me. So, it's good to say that while my dentist was so young, he was very good. He was patient and understanding.

He was professional and caring throughout, which kept my sons trust in tact ensuring no future anxiety when he needs to visit the dentist again. Thank you so much Joe and the team.

Fantastic experience: My little girl only 4 needed a filling but it couldn’t have gone any better, Scott and his assistant where amazing taking their time to explain everything, so gentle not a tear in sight even whilst having an injection, she mashed it!! Great-full that this experience won’t have a negative impact on her for future check ups, she was taking about the bumble bee in her tooth the whole way home

Fantastic experience: Pete Reville and his wonderful assistant Amy are simply the best. At my first appointment with this pair I was petrified following too many years of unsympathetic dentistry. That was several years ago and I can honestly say that I have complete confidence and no longer dread check ups or treatment. I feel listened to and they genuinely care. No pain at all, never hurried and always a lovely chat. Can't recommend highly enough.

Had a checkup then back a month later to have a operation, everything was clearly explained to me beforehand and I felt I was in great hands the whole time.

Fantastic experience: Had a great first appointment at the practice today seeing Victoria the hygienist. Marie and Amelia the receptionist’s were very friendly and welcoming. I was seen spot on the time that i had booked in for, I had a scale and polish done and Victoria explained thoroughly what she was going to do to my teeth. She also talked to me about at home after care and pointed me in the right direction of what products to use at home. Overall a really nice practice and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Wisdom tooth root removal absolutely petrified me but Scott was calm and so kind and I have come away feeling relieved to have had the procedure completed so quickly and also losing quite a big fear. I can’t recommend Scott and the surgery highly enough.
