Fantastic experience: After years of trying to find a good dentist I was told about dental care clinic by a friend about 10 years ago I had many issues with my teeth and gums which have been taken care of through regular visits to Alex and matt the dentists and keeley the hygienist and a bonus Jaqueline who is a doctor now does ear wax removal as a builder who regularly gets ear problems and no appointments at my doctors this was a godsend actually the entire team cared about my situation and took genuine pride in there work I would highly recommend

Fantastic experience: They are so kind. Walked in and it was lovely and warm in the cold weather, and the women at the desk were all so welcoming and polite. And the dentist!!!! She is absolutely amazing. I think her name was Katie, and she made me feel so comfortable as this was my first time going there and she was very prompt, seen me at exactly my appointment time, took her time checking my teeth and gave me lots of information about what they were saying about my teeth and techniques to help my tooth pain. Absolutely love it! 100% recommend and cannot thank them all enough

Negative experience: I do understand the policy of being late. I was 6 minutes late and I tried to call with no answer. There was no other patient waiting or anything. I had 2 fillings to do and the doctor could easily do 1 filling. In the previous appointment they choose to do another tooth first instead of the one it was hurting the most. Now here I am left in pain, looking for another dentist in town which god knows how long that will take. The receptionist was kind at least.

Negative experience: Shocking dental practice rude reception staff unable to contact practice manager refused an appointment told I'd been struck off the patient list without any explanation and told I could only register as a private patient avoid this dental practice at all cost

Positive experience: Friendly staff. The scale and polish was very short (9 mins total for the appointment) and could be more thorough (not fully cleaned) for my liking

Negative experience: I was a patient with NDC for years. I had just compelted a course of treatment and one suspect tooth was under observation when the pandemic hit, meaning I was unable to see a dentist (not their fault) When restrictions were lifted I sought treatment for an abcess and was declined due to a lack of available appointments. When the issue worsened and I found loose teethlater I tried again. The told me I had been struck off the patient register because I hadn't had an appointment in 2 years! I had contacted them several times to try and make an appointment in that time an repeatedly been turned away. I wa then told I could not re-register because they were not taking on new NHS patients. Disgusting attitude considering they struck me off erroneously and refused to accept any accountability for their error. I was told that I had to complain to the ICB (so much for their "robust complaints process") who confirmed they were unable to assist. Clearly only interested in doing private cosmetic dentistry for the wealthy, no actual concern for patients who actually need help. Avoid at all costs. If I could afford it I would sue.

Negative experience: Absolutely disgusted with Newcastle dental care. I had 6 veneers fitted 2 years ago. I've been having regular check ups with my normal dentist who has recently discovered Dr Sammy had filed my natural tooth down too thinly which caused the natural tooth to crumble away underneath the veneer, therefore causing cavity in-between the natural tooth and the veneer. My natural teeth were perfect condition before and now I'll need a complete crown and my natural teeth are beyond repair. Contacted Newcastle dental care to try and resolve this issue, however they tried to 'squeeze me in' during his lunch break which I refused. The next appointment they offered me to 'discuss' this, is over a month away. Dr Sammy has said because I didn't get 'regular cleans' at HIS dentist (baring in mind, I pay another private dentist to do cleans), this is basically, not his problem. Avoid like the plague.

Positive experience: Got a text to do this review so here i am. Great service and patient care by the dentist and dental nurses aswlel as reception. Only gripe is that the toilets have changed to staff only. Not so good for me with having a medical condition which means i ciuld with out warning need to leave no matter how early to go b4 setting off as suggested. With this my 2 children dental apps wont happen after the scho anymore due to by time i leave work get to school then to the chidminders to the dentist or visa versa takes 2 hours witha mix of walking and buses. Again no matter how early and b4 setting off as one child autistic and with sensory so a toilet needs to be at hand and a toddler who is toilet training. I do understand why they have done this but really need to re think this due to patient care and the reasons mentioned abive as i wont be the only one facing this issue! Other thsn this everything else is good.

Negative experience: Not great for anyone needing nhs treatment .this dentist will only treat if there pain will not do any preventing treatment claimed I didn't need any filling 2 months later after getting a job and paying they then wanted to do 3 filling witch is shocking really . They cancelled my appointment on me 3 times and rearrange with out ringing and asking if I was in work with less then 48 hours notice and I missed the appointment and they removed me from there books its been 8 months and still unable to find a new dentist.

Fantastic experience: Highly recommend this practice, I have made two visits recently and the team are first class. The practice is clean, comfortable, time keeping excellent and communication was really good. For anyone looking for a new practice in the city centre, this is a great choice.

Negative experience: Quick to deregister and state you’ve missed appointments that were never communicated with the patient. Front staff extremely rude and unhelpful

Fantastic experience: Just recently had composite bonding done here and the staff are absolutely great, very helpful and polite, I am really pleased with the results of my new teeth and would highly recommend this clinic.

Negative experience: I had to cancel my dental appointment last minute due to a work emergency, and despite explaining the situation, the staff insisted on a 24-hour notice, a policy I was unaware of. The person I spoke to mentioned calling me back but never did. A week later, when I attempted to schedule an emergency appointment, I was informed that I had been deregistered without any notification. Despite my efforts to seek clarification, they couldn't explain the lack of communication. Additionally, they refused the option to go private since I missed the NHS appointment due to the emergency. To sum up, missing an appointment, even with a valid reason and notification, resulted in being removed from the practice, so it's advisable to be cautious before registering there.

From the receptionist to the dentist who are both very friendly and put me at ease, the dentist answered all my questions and I can't thank her enough.

Negative experience: I asked to get referred to rvi ask they asked to do that in hospital and they wouldn't do that at this dentist so the dentists decided to grind my teeth down so now I have pain on my bottom right and leads upto the top and now it's also on my left side aswell, then cos I had a epilepsy seizure at home I had to miss the appointment so now they will not see me .... this dentist is a joke so now I cannot eat anything now and after this experience with this dentist I refuse to go and see a dentist cos I'm scared of what another dentist will do.... I would not recommend this dentist to anyone at all

Negative experience: The receptionist Jenny is one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered, completely unprofessional. I can’t believe the way I have been treated by this practice considering I’m 8 months pregnant and having horrendous tooth pain.

I used to be scared of dentists, so I would only go if I was in pain, but now I go every 3 months and my teeth are much better now. I would highly recommend.

Negative experience: i was late on my appointment for 5 minutes so they cancel it and told me they will call back to reschedule. i didnt receive any call so when i ring them, they told me im deregistered because of that missed appointment and im to find a new dentist. im not sure if its because im only an nhs patient and if the service will be different to a paying customer.

Negative experience: I only visit this place three times. And it is because my wisdom teeth area was hurting In late October. So I visited once registered there made an appointment to have a check up. In the check up they find out I only have one teeth that needs a root canal. But I'm actually worried about all of my other bigger teeth as I could see visible black linings there. And my root canal only last 14 minutes yes I timed it. never mind The most angry thing about this dental care center is I remember the wrong date for my appointment for only once, they de-registered me and banned me from registering from them in the future ever again. This is ridiculous You never made mistake?? Anyways you're not That only dental care center in the UK

Negative experience: My brother waited for 3 MONTHS to get an appointment from this place. He went this morning & was late 5 minutes to his appointment because of roadworks. He left school 2 hours early to get to this appointment & through no fault of his own, was late by 5 minutes. He gets there, and instead of him being told he would have to reschedule (which would have been fine, even though he had waited 3 months already), the dentist proceeded to tell him that he would have to register at a different dentist. No rescheduling after ONE late appointment because of something he had no control over? It’s an absolute joke! I know appointments are scarce, but he understood how important this appointment was & tried so hard to get there on time. He hasn’t been there long enough to miss an appointment, so him being told he has to register somewhere else, it’s a waste of his time, his education & he’s in pain! He has had a hole in his tooth for months now, and because of this impossible dentist, he doesn’t have a dentistry anymore! I called 10 over different dentists before I found one willing to take on an NHS patient. I understand that the dentist has a job to do, but it was unexpected & he couldn’t have planned for that. I understand him not being seen today, but he had to come out of school early to make this appointment & to cancel his whole registry because of something impossible to control? It seems a bit excessive. I’ve looked at the reviews and seen similar post from others. I hope others have better experiences than my brother did ‍♀️

Negative experience: At first they were fine, but yesterday I was told I missed a few appointments which I genuinely didn't know existed. I wish I brought the printed off list of appointments I knew was due. But they still wanted their money! I didn't lose my temper but I believe in Karma and I hope it comes on swift wings.

Negative experience: To get appointment (NHS)you need to wait over 2 month . After waiting 2month on your day something happen they need to cancel all the appointments unlucky u called them to arrange other appointments no problem we have new day for you u just need to wait other 2 month they don’t care . As far u are NHS they don’t care if u like it go private or other change other country

Fantastic experience: The best dentist I have been to in 20 plus years. They always inform me of any problems with my teeth and give a number of options to correct it. Although they give the options they'll guide to the best solution. The most professional and friendly staff who's customer service cannot be faulted.

Positive experience: My family and myself been patients at the South shields practise since opened. Very friendly staff quick appointments very clean. The only problem is my husband has ms and the toilet has been out of order for 8 month this poses problem as he can not get up the stairs. Sometimes appointments do run late and this causes problem if patients need the bathroom

Fantastic experience: After trying 20+ dentists to get some emergency treatment, the last was really the best. I’m a very nervous patient but this dentist has gone above and beyond to help make the experience the best possible. My dentist, Fiona, is absolutely incredible. She is honest, friendly and supportive in equal measure and mindful of my anxiety around an upcoming tooth extraction. As such, she has put me forward for a referral to the dental hospital to get it done under general anaesthetic. Also, after my hygienist appointment today, who has also done better work on my teeth than I could ever do, despite the waiting room full of waiting patients, she made time to see me to answer questions. The receptionist is also very helpful. Absolutely no regrets coming here and funnily enough I’m actually looking forward to my future appointments. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend at all and to the dentist practice I thank you, yous really are the best.

Fantastic experience: I went to see Fiona last week as I had lost confidence in my old practice. Fiona was fabulous, she listened to what i had to say and was brilliant through out my appointment. Best thing is she's just a normal person who talks to you in a way that dosent make you feel told off and you feel cared for. 10/10 ⭐

Fantastic experience: I have been registered at this practice for years, always seemed to see a different dentist/ technician. As dental practices go it was alright. Until my recent visit! Where I had the pleasure of being worked on by Emily and Laura ! The attention they gave to my needs was unparalleled, it’s the small things like making small talk as they worked rather than the horrible tense silence, they really helped me relax. I can honestly say it was boarding on an enjoyable dentist trip ! Which is a unicorn in its self ! - Thank you to both Laura and Emily

Negative experience: ❌❌❌❌❌❌ If you care about your health dont go to this place , I have teeth infection for 9 moths and they have seen my teeth 5 times and they didn't do anything , last night I was about to have a heart attack and I was in hospital and they said they infection is all over my body, the worst place and all layers , if you care about your health try another place as the doctors here don't know nothing about responsibility and Humanity، they knew how bad is my situation and they didn't do anything for me , I have lost all my beard 5 months ago related to the infection and again they didn't care , pls if you care about your health try somewhere else ⛔

Negative experience: Avoid at all cost. They will try to make you go back for extra appointments, then charge you. My crown came back out the week after, now they won’t answer the call... Still in pain

Fantastic experience: I have been to NDC for regular dental work as well as cosmetic stuff like teeth whitening, vaneers and bridges. I have always been delighted with the results. Fantastic dental practice with a great friendly team. The dentists at NDC are incredibly skilled and the standard of treatment and care is outstanding.
