Welcome to Sync Dental Roseneath. Referral Centre for Periodontics and Implants – the newest addition to Sync Dental Centres.

Negative experience: I have been coming to Roseneath for the last 15 years, and sadly the last 3 months have seen more change than I have ever seen at the practice in my time as a patient. There was recently a change in the Dentist that I had been seeing, Justin, and instead of getting a call to inform me of this and make me aware of the new dentists, with the offer of a choice of who I would like to see, my appointment was changed automatically without my consent. This was subsequently cancelled when I requested it, but it led me to reflect on how the level of service has dramatically decreased. For many years, Andrea ran the reception and she was exceptional - she always knew me instantly by my first name, was kind and efficient and always could accommodate my appointments to suit me. Whilst the new reception team are doing their best, it has been hugely sad to see some of these crucial members leave and to see the level of service decline. Together with Justin, Andrea and Chloe leaving all just before Christmas, with the exception of Wendy who is an outstanding hygienist, I will likely now consider finding a new surgery for treatment. Such a shame.

Negative experience: Zero Stars I had an email reminder of my appointment. Drove up from Southampton in very bad weather conditions. Upon arrival. No you don’t have an appointment. Showing the reminder. Yes he left and his diary has been deleted. Brilliant. Customer service at its finest.

Positive experience: For years, I've dodged photoshoots, smiling in public and always wished I could change my teeth formular, which is congenital. I decided to budget and pay for cosmetic dental work this year. Thanks to Justin and team, he recommended composite bonding. Negative experience: Waiting room was shabby and draughty. Staff were brusque and I felt as if I was bothering them. My appointment was almost ten minutes late - not a problem but it also ended slightly early even though it was supposed to be for an hour. The periodontist spoke much too quickly and it was hard to grasp what he was saying. I asked him to slow down a bit but he didn’t. He showed no sympathy whatsoever having given me what I felt was shattering news (I need to have six crowns replaced) just saying he couldn’t help me. When I stumbled out into the waiting area to pay the second half of my bill (I’d already been asked to pay £85 upfront when I made the appointment), the receptionist tried to charge me the full £170 and I had to argue with her before she eventually talked to two other members of staff and raked through several notes and computer files before charging me the correct sum. The whole experience left me feeling very upset and was not what I expected having paid for a private consultation.

Fantastic experience: very reassuring and very calming experience. My periodontist explained the process and treatment so clearly and immediately put me at ease. Its never a pleasant experience going to see the dentist but this was as pleasant as it could get.

Fantastic experience: I have to say, I have such a huge fear of dentists which goes back 50 years or more, I suffered so much as a child and teenager and has so many traumatic experiences I have never really had a dentist. I have attended Roseneath since April having had to have my lower teeth taken out in hospital as I had a severe infection in my gums, I firstly saw Bill who was amazing and talked me through the procedures I will need he then introduced me to Justin whom I have to say I was a bit wary of but I now have to say I had to have 4 upper teeth removed and Justin done this on Wed 15th May 2024 and he made me feel so at ease and I had full confidence in him, I felt nothing, it was all done within 10 minutes, for anyone with a great fear or whose has had a traumatic experience at the dentist I cannot recommend him enough, I now have no nerves or upsets about attending their practice. Thank you so much for your upstanding and compassion

Fantastic experience: I’m new to the practice. The receptionist was very welcoming and made conversation even whilst busy. I had my young children with me and staff members were extremely good with them and came up to say hello. I am a nervous patient, but was made to feel very relaxed, with constant reassurance from the dentist. He was also very honest with some treatment I needed and advised to look around for this as they do provide orthodontics there but I’m a more complex case that would need certain treatment, so would not want to waste money. The team as a whole are all lovely and the practice is very bright and clean with a calm atmosphere.
