Fantastic experience: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I went to Thornbury Dental Wellness Clinic for an emergency appointment due to a suspected abscess and couldn’t have asked for better care. From the moment I arrived, everyone was so kind, understanding, and reassuring, which really helped in what was a stressful situation. I was seen quickly and everything was explained clearly. A special shout out to Lily, who was absolutely lovely and made me feel completely at ease. I’m so grateful to the whole team and would highly recommend the clinic.

Fantastic experience: I needed urgent dental care due to an infection the day before Christmas Eve. My own dentist told me I would have to phone at 9am on Christmas Eve and “take my chances” of getting an appointment, which was extremely stressful given the level of pain and the fact that everything would soon be closed. From experience, the NHS emergency dental service in and around Bristol is close to non-existent. I searched online for local dentists accepting emergencies and left a message via the Thornbury Dental Wellness Centre website. Their website was clear, reassuring, and explicit about offering emergency appointments, which made a big difference. I received a call back shortly afterwards and was offered an appointment on Christmas Eve. I was prescribed antibiotics immediately and given a follow-up appointment on 30 December to resolve the problem properly. At every stage the service was impeccable — efficient, friendly, calm, and genuinely helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this dental clinic, especially for anyone needing urgent care at a difficult time.

Fantastic experience: I can’t recommend Laurie and Esme highly enough – they’ve completely transformed my smile and the results speak for themselves. Before treatment my teeth were crowded, overlapping and far from straight. Now they are perfectly aligned with a completely natural appearance. Most people assume I’ve always had straight teeth – nobody would ever guess any work has been done. I also had a complex implant that I was initially quite anxious about. Laurie, and the team handled everything brilliantly from start to finish. The planning was thorough, every step was clearly explained, and the final result is flawless. The implant looks and functions exactly like a natural tooth – honestly better than I ever expected. Every member of staff has been exceptional. I was looked after impeccably throughout the entire process, from the very first appointment to the final check-up. The care, attention to detail and genuine kindness from everyone made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. Fantastic experience: Wanting to find a dentist, who takes caution in mercury amalgam replacement, I discovered Thornbury. Travelling 2 hours, I was greeted by the most friendly team, who couldn't do enough and are the epitome of customer service, the most beautiful décor, and the process of treatment explained comprehensively yet clearly (the technology - wow!). Patrycja is very professional and knowledgeable. She gave me a lot of great practical advice aimed to improve my oral health. Fantastic experience: Been having treatment for the last few months at Thornbury Dental wellness and its been a completely different experience to any previous dental work I've had in the past. Every person there from the receptionist Rachael to owners Esme and Laurie are very personable and make you feel at ease. They have the most up to date technology that can show on screen infront of you what needs doing and why making you feel so much more involved in the decision making process. 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: It was my first time to visit the wellness center..im very pleased because the staffs were very welcoming from the reception Ms Rachel to Dentist Ms Jessica who did her best handling my tooth problem ,i didn’t any feel pain at all and it was very quick. Fantastic experience: Everything about this practice is first class. Phoned to book an appointment due to a wisdom tooth cracking and had a slot within the hour. Extraction was booked for 5 days later. Extraction was pain free and 24 hours later I have no pain from the extraction site and no need to take any pain medication! Staff are all very friendly and polite and the practice is very modern. If you’re looking for a new dentist I can’t recommend them highly enough. Finally a massive thank you to Theresa who was my dentist.

Fantastic experience: I registered with TDWC after having been to a local NHS dentist and not having had a great experience. Prior to this I had not been to a dentist for over 10 years through fear. I spoke to Rachel on reception is who is absolutely lovely and straight away helped to lower the anxiety of visiting the practice, Rachel is understanding and puts in every effort to reassure you .My initial consultation was with Laurie who made me feel completely at ease and took the time to understand me and my concerns as we put together a treatment plan. He explained every part of the process in great detail. I proceeded to have composite fillings and a hygiene appointment with Esme who again was amazing at making me feel calm and in control the whole time, this helped to build my confidence before further treatment (all part of their plan to help me with the fear), My most recent appointment involved having conscious IV sedation for 2 wisdom teeth removal and root canal, as someone with a massive fear of the dentist I never thought this would be something I could even force myself to do but again they couldn’t have made me feel any more relaxed and ready for the procedure.It went so smoothly and I left feeling proud! I’ve spoke so highly of my experience that 3 members of my family have now registered. I can’t thank Esme, Laurie and the rest of the team enough for their compassion and care through the whole process. Going to the dentist is no longer something I absolutely dread and I’m actually looking forward to completing the rest of my plan!

Fantastic experience: Best dentist I have ever been with! they are so kind and understanding here and it really feels like they are genuinely looking out for you and making sure you have perfect teeth. When I had a wisdom tooth removed even though it was done at the hospital and not through the dentist they kept calling and checking in on me. My husband and I have both signed up for the dental plan and its worth every penny.

Fantastic experience: I have suffered with chronic health conditions and pain for years and have always felt a huge level of discomfort in my teeth and jaw for a multitude of reasons. I have spent years visiting doctors and dentists to try and get help but they were unable to locate the problem and the various dentists could only locate particular areas of sensitivity and replace various fillings which temporarily alleviated the pain in that area but I could feel that it was not localised and deeper than they were able to detect with their X-rays. I could feel things were escalating dramatically and was beginning to despair having visited yet another dentist (who was very good) but went through the same routine. At this point I had been doing a lot of research into this subject and consequently watched a very eye opening documentary (the root cause) which made so much sense of what I am going through and highlighted the importance of holistic dentistry. Which gave me a new hope that there are dentists out there who could help me. So, I found Thornbury Dental Wellness clinic and gave them a call. From the moment I spoke to Rachel on reception, I just broke down in tears as I was so desperate for help and she was so kind and helpful that I really felt at ease and that I was finally in a safe space where I was going to be heard. I had my new patient consultation yesterday and It was so comforting and reassuring. Every member of staff was so caring. On top of that, the technology that they use to be able to investigate so thoroughly what is not only happening in your teeth but in your entire jaw area is incredible. From the moment the scan appeared I could immediately see everything that had been giving me pain for the first time which was not only incredibly validating but I finally felt like I was in a place where they could finally give me the help I needed. Dr Laury took the time to go through everything that was showing up in great detail and explained everything so well and really listened to and addressed my thoughts and concerns. He then put together a plan to address my immediate problems and talked over the options ahead of me as we progress. The thing that makes this practice so unique to me is they have a team of specialists to cover every aspect of what treatment you may need. If you have so many layers of treatment needed as I do then it means everything to be able to have this all done within the same collaborative team who communicate with each other. No need to go from pillar to post with lengthy referrals and feeling like you are always having to explain from scratch to so many medical experts. That, to me, is invaluable. I am actually looking forward to starting my dental plan. The kindness and understanding from the staff as well as the high level of knowledge and technology and holistic care have made me feel that I am in good hands and has given me hope regarding my health again.

Then there is the professional yet personable staff really making my trips to the dentist (of which sadly there are alot) enjoyable. Childcare commitments has meant that both daughters have had to attend the clinic and the team have always engaged and welcomed them in a way that they didn’t ever need to. Laurie has also given me lots of time and answered all of my questions regarding the work I am due to have done and reassured me with his manner and his knowledge that I am in safe hands. Wellness is at the forefront with this clinic and the ethos is much more about whether a filling is needed or not… (think whoop bands and barefoot shoes!) Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I visited the Thornbury Dental Wellness clinic today, and my experience was fantastic. Dr Laurie was amazing while examining my teeth—calm, thorough, and incredibly reassuring. I came into the clinic feeling panicked due to an ongoing infection, but Laurie immediately put me at ease. He talked me through my treatment plan with care and clarity, and I truly felt seen and heard. I now feel confident that I’m on the right path to getting my teeth back to full wellness. Fantastic experience: I used to be so scared of the dentist but I took a leap and found Thornbury Dental Wellness and saw Theresa. I have never felt so relaxed and looked after from the minute I walked into the clinic. It is beautifully decorated, not clinical or scary at all. All the front of house team are so lovely and welcoming, Theresa herself is an angel, she explained everything she was doing and was so gentle, kind and funny. I saw Esme for a hygiene appointment and she was wonderful! I am now starting a whitening journey and I’m excited for my dentist visits now! Fantastic experience: I had a fantastic experience at Thornbury Dental Wellness Centre during my recent visit. I came in for a new patient exam, hygiene appointment, and a polish of my bonding, all of which were carried out by Esmae. She was brilliant throughout, friendly, professional, and made me feel completely at ease from start to finish. Everything was explained clearly, and the level of care was excellent. Fantastic experience: After contacting the Wellness Dental Clinic, due to toothache was able to attend the following day. Great staff made you feel very welcomed. Had a thorough check and 3D scan for future appointments, with an option of a payment plan, was able to have my tooth extracted same day, thank you all ☺️

Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist is a nerve wracking experience for many, but everyone at TDWC from the receptionists to the dental nurses to Laurie, Esme and Theresa are so welcoming and reassuring. The feel of the clinic is so not clinical it really helps to put you at ease, and their responses to my nerves and anxieties have been wonderfully reassuring, to the point and non judgemental. Fantastic experience: I have been meaning to review a lot sooner than this as I have been really impressed with the service from Thornbury Dental Wellness Clinic so far. From the very first phone call I made to book in I was made to feel welcomed and at ease. Rachel at reception is so so welcoming, I honestly cannot fault her at all, she is so personable and I forget about any fears of visiting the dentist. Esme has also been really helpful with explaining everything and being really thorough, she is clearly very knowledgeable and an expert in her field. I have been considering having aligners for a while but have been worried about the cost however after such a positive experience at this dentist I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else so have now booked in for these which I’m confident will be a smooth process and I’m excited for the results!!
