A1 Dental Canterbury Practice

Fantastic experience: My wife and I have been having Invisalign with Som for just over a year and couldn’t recommend A1 dental enough. Everyone is so lovely and welcoming. We have also just been to the hygienist, Amy who was so lovely and really made my wife feel at ease as she is a nervous patient. We have been so impressed with our whole experience at A1 dental and would recommend them to anyone needing any dental work. We will be relocating our whole families dentist to A1 Thank you to Som, Amy and the whole team.

Fantastic experience: Incredible experience. Had the amazing Amy Brownlee worked her magic and make my teeth look shiny and new. She is fantastic, knowledgable and so good! Can’t recommend enough, great treatment and also dental care was fantastic. All very friendly and caring staff and made everything so easy and nice.

Clear advice and quick referrals if needed. Parking spaces can sometimes be an issue but otherwise do recommend this practice if you’re in the area.

Fantastic experience: I've been visiting A1 Dental for around 2-3 years now and they have always been kind and welcoming to me. Amy, Somitra and Danielle are all lovely and wonderful. I started visiting due to an issue with a baby tooth that hadnt fallen out when the adult tooth came in. They helped with my situation and re-assured me as I struggle with anxiety and change being Autistic. Well worth the trips to Canterbury.

Fantastic experience: The whole experience from start to finish has been fantastic. Nothing has been too much trouble and even when I’ve had to move appointments they have accommodate me fully. Som and team are incredibly friendly, I’m very happy with my results. Fantastic experience: My family and I have been a patient at A1 for many years, and we could not recommend it highly enough! Amy Brownlee is a super friendly, professional and gentle hygienist, always making sure I am comfortable and genuinely interested in her patients. It is never a chore to see her. I also highly recommend our dentist, Dr Murphy. She has always been available to see us even for emergencies and has given me in particular painless and treatment, even for rather big procedures. The whole team, including of course Som, are always helpful and flexible. A great dental practice!

As with so many of us older generations, my experiences at the Dentists were a nightmare... having teeth out using gas, in dark dismal, smelly surroundings. Devina, my dentist Amy, my hygienist and all the reception staff are friendly, professional and polite. The reassurance they provide during my appointments is so important to me. Fantastic experience: I chose A1 because I had an emergency and my nhs dentist couldn’t fit me in, I didn’t know what to expect after one of my molars with a crown had snapped off. The staff were so welcoming and friendly and the dentist that treated me ( I can’t remember her name ) was amazing and so was the nurse, I went in feeling worried about what I can do and left very happy and positive, I will go back and have work done. Thank you

Negative experience: A crown fell off while on holidays from Australia. Immediately after having it glued back, I told dentist that my bight didn’t feel right - my jaw wasn’t closing properly on the other side and there was a lot of pressure discomfort with the adjoining teeth. The dentist wasnt able to get floss in between them and gave up. She told me I would have to have it looked at when I got to France! Later when I kept trying to floss, a chunk of glue came off each side which relieved some pressure. From the next day onwards whenever I ate, my upper jaw ached. The crown fell out after 3 days. Turns out it wasnt seated properly onto the stump. I suggest you listen when the patient says something is wrong. Wasted £110.

Fantastic experience: I needed to have a filling. Zareen and her assistant were great - she explained everything clearly, made me feel very comfortable and showed me in an x-ray the work she'd completed. The filling is hardly noticeable and I have no pain - thank you!

My treatment was straightforward and easy, Som and his team are very professional and gave me the finished results I had hoped for .

Filled in an online form and was contacted by a lovely lady who was kind and understanding and put me at ease with not having gone for so long . My visit today was fabulous; everyone was very friendly and nice and really helped me relax and not worry ! Everything they told me was clearly explained and easy to understand. It is the best dentist practice that I have ever been too and my dentist Juliette is hands down the best dentist that I’ve ever seen! She’s friendly, knows her patients, approachable and really talks through your options to help you make an informed decision about your treatment. She has a fantastic approach with children and both my sons are always happy to come and see her as she’s made visiting the dentist a positive experience for them and involves them being each time. Earlier this year I had some serious teeth issues and I could not fault the care that I received from all members of the team. From the dental nurses to the fabulous reception team everyone is extremely caring and treats you as an individual patient rather than a number. The customer service at this practice is exemplary and everyone has a positive and supportive attitude.

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to Canterbury and stumbled across this dentist. I can happily say that I’m pleasantly surprised after many dodgy dentists in the past. Very thorough, very friendly, and fair price for going private. Two visits so far, but felt at ease and cared for both times.

Negative experience: Been left nearly a year with half a tooth taken out after being told they were referring me to a specialist, since then the temp filling has fallen out and my tooth is exposed.

Fantastic experience: Saw Dr Oliver Yeomans today with Coco, his assistant, as I needed two roots taken out under local anaesthetic and rather than wait 14 months to have sedation under nhs, I braved it with Dr Oliver. Dr Oliver and Coco were amazing, they put me at ease and kept me calm through the whole procedure from my first visit with them right through to the end. They weren't bothered by my anxiety, they were caring, considerate and took the time I needed. Thank you to them both and A1 Dental

Fantastic experience: I hadn’t seen a dentist for years. I’ve had bad experiences in the past. I booked an appointment at A1 Dental and was pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere. Dr Oliver Yeomans and his assistant Coco put me at ease straight away. I found that they were extremely knowledgeable and Oliver explained what the implications of one of my current medications that I was taking could be. The whole experience was very encouraging. And now I’m no longer scared of visiting the dentist. I shall be returning to see them again shortly to receive some more expert care.

Fantastic experience: I visited A1 for a front tooth implant. From beginning to end I received absolutely brilliant service. The whole process was explained to me in detail, including the process, timing and cost. The cost was in fact slightly less than the estimate, which in this day and age is extremely unusual. The implant was finished today and is excellent. I would strongly recommend A1, they are superb.

Positive experience: Felt very comfortable with the whole checkup, everything was explained to me and advice was given from Dr Maria and Nurse Manuela. There was a bit of confusion with the payments but once that was also sorted out everything was fine.

Fantastic experience: I'm an extremely nervous patient who needed a front tooth crown at age of 10 but had a butcher of a dentist. From that time, trips to the dentist terrified me. I first came here over 20 years ago and was treated by Ian and later by Sofya. Received fantastic care and understanding which increased my confidence. Later saw Som and am now with Teresa. Can't thank you all enough, as well as your brilliant reception team. Still a nervous patient, but getting accustomed to relaxing my shoulders!

Very friendly staff and was impressed. I went back today for the filling and tooth repair, NO PAIN! Now I like the dentist, so friendly and caring. Very impressed! DR Mumtaz is my new best friend.
