Negative experience: I want to preface this by saying that the staff here and the service were great, everyone was really friendly and welcoming. Especially Sue, she makes sure all your questions are answered. With that being said, here is my experience, you can be the judge: I came to this dental practice for my wisdom teeth removal around a year ago. They removed a wisdom tooth and let me go without antibiotics. After around 2 weeks, I thought I was recovering fine. However, one morning the pain came back and the swelling started to increase, again, I thought that this was part of the recovery process so I didn’t think much of it. After a few days of the pain getting worse and me almost going back to my post wisdom tooth removal state of not being able to eat anything I decided to go back to the dental practice to ask for expert advice. I got to the dental practice and they told me I had to go to the A&E to get an IV drip. Long story short, I had to stay at the hospital for 3 nights. After being discharged, I went back to the dental practice to get my stitches removed and they told to come back in 2 weeks for a final checkup. And I thought that was gonna be the end of the story. 2 weeks later, during my final checkup, the dentist discovered that he missed removing a bit of the stitch and that my gum had now healed over it leading him to need to make an incision into my gums to remove the stitch. He did just that. Fast forward a year, the gum around the area where the widsom tooth and stitch was removed is painful again. I’m not sure if this is due to the wisdom tooth removal or just a coincidence that it happened to be in the same place. Again, this review is simply recounting my widsom tooth removal experience with Fitzrovia Dental practice and is by no means a judgement to the character of the staff, they were all very nice people.

Albert has also been amazing throughout my Invisalign journey. They’ve gone above and beyond to accommodate my needs, even staying after hours multiple times to make sure I was seen. Fantastic experience: Visited Dr Albert for my annual teeth cleaning and it was such a pleasant experience. He was patient and gentle, and I had the opportunity to ask more about my baby tooth and treatment options for it. Ultimately I chose to do a dental implant here with Dr Manuel who’s an expert in the field. Every stage of the implant was completely painless and my healing journey was very easy too as I didn’t need any painkillers at all after the surgery. On the admin side, Sue was very helpful with getting me booked in for appointments, providing me with necessary information for insurance claim and checking in on me after the surgery to ensure I’m recovering well. As someone who used to be terrified of dentists, I feel safe and comfortable coming back here for treatments.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dental practice - we've been looking long and hard for a good clinic that isn't expensive and finally found one. My husband and I have been a total of 3 times and each time the dentist is super thorough with the cleaning (even cleans near the gums / under the gums which must dentists don't). Will be back again. Good location, close to warren street and UCL main campus. This is the dental practice I stick to and I have no reservation in recommending it to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I recently had 5 silver/ mercury amalgams removed and replaced with BPA free composite fillings at Fitzroy Dental Practice. Dr Albert Gora followed the SMART protocol for mercury amalgam removal and carried out the procedure in the most professional and considerate manner. I felt very comfortable throughout the process (which was broken into three separate appointments due to procedure time) and everything was explained to me throughout which made me feel very confident about the level of care I was receiving. Dr. Gora has done an amazing job replacing my fillings and thanks to his skill I am now mercury free and my mouth feels fantastic. I experienced so little discomfort during or after the procedures, Dr. Gora is very careful and considered. Sue was amazing and so helpful at the outset and throughout the process, she took a great deal of time to answer my numerous questions and put my mind at ease about various concerns making sure I always felt listened to and understood. Absolutely amazing team, non judgemental and so friendly. Despite living a long way from Fitzroy Dental I will continue using them in the future and I really highly recommend them. Fantastic experience: I was travelling to London when I got a terrible toothache. I could only stay in London for three days. So, on my first day there we found the Fitzroy Dental Practice. I came for the appointment and everyone at the clinic was amazing, friendly, and professional. My dentist was Dr. Albert Gora and he took excellent care of me. He examined me very thoroughly for a long time. There was no easy solution to stop my pain. He called a fellow dentist who is a root canal specialist, Dr. Thomas Rhodes, and together they discussed my case for some time. At the end Dr. Rhodes came to the practice to help. They decided on a two-step treatment plan. The first step did not solve the issues as they thought. Dr Albert asked me to come again the next day. I came again the following day, as I was in a lot of pain, and he treated me again. This time the treatment was successful, and the pain stopped. Dr Albert literally saved me and thanks to him I could continue with my vacation for two weeks. I can’t thank both Dr. Albert and Dr. Rhodes enough. I highly recommend Dr. Albert Gora and Dr. Thomas Rhodes from Fitzroy Dental Practice and would like to thank them with all my heart. I would also like to thank their wonderful Sue working as a dental therapist and hygienist at Fitzroy, who was so helpful, professional and friendly. Expertise: As soon as she checked my dental condition, she explained why she had to do the process and how it would affect me with plain terms. I got the hygiene cleaning but it did not hurt at all. Her skill was very professional. 2. Kindness: she kept asking me about how I felt throughout the treatment which made me very relaxed. After the treatment, she explained how I have to care for my tooth. 3. He has been amazing from the start, very attentive and also takes time to explain the procedure. I feel well looked after and his nurses are great too. As a nervous person who has had extremely bad experiences with previous dentists, I was honestly not expecting such a high level of service.
