Fantastic experience: I have been coming to Dental Smiles at Takeley ever since it opened. I see the same dentist, Dan, every time (in fact I have been a patient of Dan for the past 16 years and followed him here from his previous practice). It’s so nice having the same person look after my teeth for so many years and someone I feel comfortable with and who is very personable. I have seen a few different hygienists over the years but again they have all been very professional and I have felt very confident under their care. The Receptionists are all very pleasant and it is a very welcoming dental practice.

Fantastic experience: My family and I have been with Dental smiles for years now. We are equally happy with the care and advice given to us as adults and the amazing care we get for our young kids (one of whom was terrified initially). Friendly smiles at the reception desk and all the team of dentists and hygienists make it a really pleasant trip.

Fantastic experience: I had been with my previous Dentist for over 30 years, despite a 2 hour journey (each way) and then she did the unthinkable and retired… My wife convinced me to join ‘Dental Smiles’ and what a great decision that was.. The Receptionists, Seema, Kelly and Imogen were just so lovely and treated me so well… and it only takes me 5 minutes to drive!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dental Smiles since they first opened. Daniel is my dentist and is a very caring person. He was very aware of my phobia about going to the dentist from the start. He has managed to overcome my fear of injections by building my confidence over the years. I would not want to change my dentist in any way. The hygienists I have seen have been equally good. I am very impressed with this practice. All staff are extremely good at their jobs. I wouldn’t say I look forward to going to the dentist but I am now less worried than I used to be.

As a nervous patient who knew deep down that some serious dental treatment and surgery lay ahead, their warmth, kindness and emotional support was excellent. From the brilliant and friendly reception staff, the reassuring dental nurses and the three dentists, each highly specialised in their areas of expertise who each treated me for specific conditions to the very gentle hygienist, I cannot fault anything that was undertaken. Very high standard of care, my dentist is Daniel, he's brilliant, but so too are all the staff at the Takeley practice. The always critical first contact is with the folk on the phone and at reception, they are experts in customer care so by the time you make contact with the actual dentist you are already feeling like you are in good hands. Between us we have had cosmetic work with straightening and whitening, but also veneers and crowns. There are no black lines clouding my smile! Highly recommended. Damien

Fantastic experience: I had an absolutely amazing experience with my recent dental treatment and can't recommend Dental Smiles in Takeley enough. I came in nervous about a root canal - my only previous experience was 27 years ago and far from pleasant- but Raj completely changed my perspective. He was incredibly patient and kind, taking the time to explain everything thoroughly, including the risks involved. I felt so reassured that I actually drifted off during the procedure - that's how relaxed I was! Following that, Andy handled my cap removal and replacement with the same level of care and expertise. Thanks to his skill, I was able to keep my tooth. Andy is not only brilliant at explaining what's happening at every stage, but he's also friendly, calm, and very understanding. He puts you at ease straight away and builds trust quickly. Over the past 7 years, Andy has worked wonders to save my remaining lower back teeth - I am so grateful! Fantastic experience: I have such a phobia of dentists and recently my front tooth broke which filled me with absolute dread. I hadn’t been to a dentist in years and every experience I’ve had of dentists throughout my life have been bad. I’ve had panic attacks and cried so many times in a dentist chair that I am now always sedated for work to be done. I was recommended to go to Dental Smiles by my friend who is also very scared of dentists. When I rang, I spoke to the loveliest lady called Karen who didn’t make me feel silly or minimise my fear, instead she was really understanding and kind and did everything she could to put me at ease, which gave me the confidence to make an appointment. I was so scared when I went through the front door for my initial examination and x-rays. But the Dental Smiles doesn’t actually look or smell like a dentists at all! There was music playing and tv screen on the ceilings of the treatment rooms. It didn’t have a clinical smell and there was no sounds of drilling which have always scared the hell out of me! I was seen really quickly by Raj Sharma who was incredibly kind! He totally understood how scared I am and literally told me step by step everything he was going to do before he did it. Instead of giving me a long list of work I needed to have done, which was what I expected and my experience from different dentists, he did the opposite and reassured me they’d keep my treatment really simple and only do what really needed to be done now, which helped me so much. I went back on Monday morning and true to his word, Raj was so gentle and incredibly kind which put me at more ease than I ever remember having in a dentists chair. I was able to have a filling without an injection and felt no pain at all. I can’t believe I’m writing this, but I actually don’t feel quite so scared about going back in 6 months for my check up.

Im very nervous and anxious when visiting the dentist but they melt that all away. All my treatments have been 100% perfect with no pain and next to no discomfort. Every treatment is explained to you and any thing you are unsure of if you need to call for more advice a lovely member on reception will take all the time to go through with any questions or queries you have in such a helpful friendly manner. I normally see Daniel for my dentistry who is totally amazing and Kelly for my hygiene who also is so so fab. I've recently had to have my first root canal treatment done which was quite intrusive with the wonderful Gam who is the most patient friendliest guy who is so brilliant and professional at what he does. Fantastic experience: I had my teeth whitened after initially having prep work as I hadn’t looked after my teeth as a kid. Over the course of a few months the dentist, Dan, has replaced a crown and after a few more bits of prep applied composite veneers! The results are fantastic, I’m seriously so pleased with the work Dan and the staff have put into what was a low starting condition. All of the staff are welcoming and couldn’t be more friendly and professional ! Thank you !

I had to have a lot of work done on my teeth, and my mental health wasn't good at the time after being mistreated else where. In the past, I had been made to feel a nuisance going back to a dentist when something was wrong, but Katy doesn't make me feel like that, she always puts me at ease and says I can call her anytime if I have a problem. Fantastic experience: I was recommended to this dentist practise in Takeley as I was a very nervous patient. From my 1st phone call to my first treatment, I was made to feel at ease. I was lucky enough to be recommended to the most caring professional approachable, easy to talk dentist I have ever met. Seema made me feel like I could trust her with my life and was open and honest with me every step of my journey. I have had a lot of treatment, from fillings to extractions and partial dentures. I have been treated like one of the family, so to speak, from the lovely ladies on the reception to Seema's dental nurse Nicky. If you want the best and you're a nervous patient and have maybe had a bad experience of being in the dentist's chair, I highly recommend this dental practise and the lovely Seema Taylor you will not regret it I promise.
