Fantastic experience: I came here for the first time a year ago, I was a nervous wreck after some fairly bad experiences with dental practice's/hygienists. My fears completely turned around after one session with Nisha. She is calm, confident, listens and always explains everything so clearly. Taking time and never rushing, I'm now able to attend appointments without that initial fear or anxiety.

Negative experience: I visited this clinic for a hygienist appointment with Natalie, which was extremely disappointing. She was rude, unwelcoming, and abrupt throughout. It was also the most uncomfortable hygienist appointment I’ve had, as she was very aggressive during the cleaning. I also had a whitening consultation booked, along with an aligner scan and moulds for new retainers with Anita. At this appointment, I mentioned that I was concerned about whitening because I had realised a cavity was in my retained baby tooth (I still have an impacted baby tooth as an adult). The dentist suggested placing a filling first. I simply asked what material would be used and whether a fluoride-free option was available, a completely standard question before consenting to treatment. Instead of explaining the options, the dentist abruptly told me that because I was “unsure,” she would not proceed with any treatment: not the filling she suggested, not the whitening, not the aligner scan, and not even the moulds for my retainers. I was not refusing treatment; I was asking for basic information. Patients should not feel dismissed or penalised for asking for clarity to make an informed decision regarding THEIR treatment on their body. Other than the reception team and the dental assistants, who were polite, the general atmosphere from the rest of the staff felt unwelcoming. Overall, not an experience I would recommend.

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to the Woodhouse Dental Practice. The staff were very pleasant and Mr Khan saw me on time. He did a thorough check of my teeth and mouth and explained what would be required to improve the problems that I had with my teeth. A further appointment was made with dental gum specialist, and I would see Mr Khan again in 9 months.

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: My implant is finally in after a long and very specialist treatment. I needed a bone graft to treat damage caused by an abscess first. Anyway, the final result is amazing and I can now smile again. And the best part is you can’t even tell. I skipped out of the surgery and couldn’t thank the team enough. I can’t stop smiling right!

Fantastic experience: I had my 6 upper front teeth fitted with composites, my bite was redesigned entirely by dr Chakravarti. Jaw pains and grinding are over, I have regained a powerful bite. I was really hesitant at first, afraid of ending up with a typical veneer look you often see in the US, what with over white teeth and robotic looking shapes. My dentist took time to sculpt my composites in very fine detail, we discussed shape and texture, he sculpted natural looking features that yielded pretty much perfectly natural looking teeth. He did an outstanding job. We then waited a few months for my tongue to adapt, after which he further refined the back of my composites so they would not only look but also feel natural. I am very happy with the result.

Fantastic experience: I hadn't been to a dentist in 38 years and was a little nervous. Well my nerves went as soon as I went through the door. Lovely friendly practice. Spotless clean and the dentists and hygienist are the nicest people you could meet. No pressure selling of anything and the radio and TV on take your mind off the work they are carrying out. Couldn't recommend this practice enough. I visit regularly for my check ups and never had a problem. Plenty of parking too.

The previous Hygienist, Suraj, was 5 star as he educated and informed and encouraged, and my teeth/gums became perfect with him. Positive experience: Unfortunately I can't give a positive result for the care and attention I received yesterday. There were 2 nurses present throughout and at no point was I asked if I was ok bearing in mind the procedure was painful and uncomfortable. At no point did they say a single word to me. No kindness was shown and it felt like a patient was not regarded, it was just the mouth that was being treated.

I continue with this practice for their expert care and value for money, monthly payment options, DenPlan. This plan is bespoke to the practice, and it's a good idea to make enquiries to find out more. My dental history is complex from a child, involving numerous surgeries. Woodhouse Dental Practice has continued the great care I originally received from Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), even though that was decades ago. My checkup was informative and reassuring and my dental practitioner was professional and helpful. I then booked in with their hygienist and was once again impressed by their friendly and professional advice. Fantastic experience: Very pleasant experience. Neel, who is very friendly, asked me questions about my problem tooth, made an x-ray of it, then explained what the x-ray showed and what the next step should be. I was impressed by the joined-up nature of my treatment. I had assumed I would have to explain - at least partially - about the other treatment I've been having, but Neel already knew all about it - which suggests Milad (who's been carrying out that other treatment) has been keeping my record up to date - and I simply had to update Neel on my current situation.

Positive experience: Very good sharing of information on the process of an implant. The original tooth extraction was of course unpleasant and the stitching wasn't perfect but in all other ways it felt like an excellent service with a great result.

Negative experience: 0/5 deserves no stars, the arrogance of dentist Anita is shocking (you're not doing me a favor love I'm paying you, remember that). As soon as I go in, no discussion on work to be carried out, wishy washy explanations, she said loads in less than 30s, wanted me in and out in a flash, without me fully understanding what needs to be done. We are allowed to ask questions, they want you in and take your money, end of story. All I wanted to know was to confirm the work to be done, her colleague suggested something, her opinion as the 'senior' she tells me is different, she said I was arguing with her, not the case couldn't get a word in edgewise and was calm throughout. In the end, she says if I'm not happy with what she suggested to go to another dentist, this is how they treat customers, it's either give me your money or get lost. What kind of customer service is this, very poor experience and zero professionalism. Anita is a vulture, wants to exploit you and take your cash that's the crux of it, she has little to no humility, poor poor social skills, can't speak to people and her title without question precedes her. Anita, some serious self reflection is in order. Proper little freak that Anita. Word to the wise, steer clear, spend your money elsewhere with people who actually treat you with respect and are deserving of it.

Fantastic experience: I've had a simply fantastic experience at Woodhouse. I first saw Neil Chakravarty for a dental appointment and later Sooraj Bhatia for a hygiene appointment. Both of them were amazing! Kind, considerate and very thorough. I was really impressed with the simplicity and thoroughness in care, especially taking into account pain thresholds, reassuring me and keeping the patients' interests at heart. Will definitely keep going back despite it being 30min. bus ride away and having dental surgeries close by.

Negative experience: This place use to be the perfect community NHS dentist, now they have gone down the USA capitalist private route. Bring back our dear NHS. Why did they do this, I have more respect for estate agents and dodgy second hand car dealerships. In reply to Dustin Hoffman “is it safe ?”… certainly not for your wallet !!

Negative experience: It's absolutely disgraceful what Woodhouse Dental Practice have done! Woodhouse Dental Practice have gone fully private, no longer offering NHS dental. The reason for the 1 star review is that Woodhouse Dental Practice haven't communicated the change to their patients in advance. No phone calls. No text messages. No website notices. No removal of NHS branding on surgery window. Zero communication. Leaving patients without an NHS dentist. People unable to make the necessary arrangements prior to an emergency situation. We must renationalise the NHS and bring back free dental care for everyone in England! General Practice is also going the same way of dentistry in England. We must kill U.S for-profit Integrated Care Systems and bring back the original fully comprehensive Beveridge NHS. Please, write to your MP and councillors. NO U.S SYSTEMS OF CARE IN OUR NHS BRING BACK OUR ORIGINAL BEVERIDGE NHS #RenationaliseNHS NHS DENTIST FOR EVERYONE!
