Fantastic experience: I was referred to Barbara by my usual dentist for a front tooth to be re root canal filled as the old root filling from years ago had failed, I was terrified of losing my front tooth and suffer anxiety but I spoke to the receptionist Amanda who could not have been kinder at reassuring me. At my first appointment the practice manager also reassured my worries. Barbara the dentist I saw was so positive, professional and confident at the initial review appointment that my worries were eased. Both appointments for the treatment were painless and seemed to pass quite quickly, as other patients have said in reviews Barbara is delightful, she is kind, funny, calm and just so caring but she is also an ABSOLUTE PERFECTIONIST who wants to get your treatment just right, the perfect mix of professional but has a great character. The nurses at each of my appointments were also lovely so if you’re nervous please don’t be as Charing Cross dental practice has the calmest most professional, caring, lovely staff, the practice is spotless and just has a calm atmosphere. Fantastic experience: Exemplary care and attention from Jonathan Hatton who carried out a painless and expert root canal on a tooth that had previously been given the prognosis of removal by another specialist practice. The aforementioned practice had performed, in my view, a careless and shoddy root canal that was very painful. I was then told the root canal hadn't worked and that the tooth should be removed. I visited Charing Cross Practice to ask for a second opinion. Jonathan discussed all my options frankly and was proactive in trying to save my tooth. I was very apprehensive about the procedure following my previous experience but Jonathan could not have been more understanding and took especial care to make sure I felt no pain. I have to say this was the best dental work I have experienced in terms of care and attention and I would unreservedly recommend Jonathan at Charing Cross Practice.

Fantastic experience: My normal dentist arranged for me to have a root canal treatment with Barbara because she is a known specialist in this field and only works on this particular skilled treatment. After Barbara's thoroughly detailed explanation of the treatments she was offering, I agreed which was the most satisfactory way forward of saving my front tooth. Barbara's experience and expertise was obvious and I now looked forward with confidence to my two further visits for her work to save my front tooth. On all three occasions, I felt totally at ease and enjoyed Barbara's delightful personality. I felt cared for from the moment I arrived in reception, where while waiting, Amanda made me a cup of tea. Once settled in Barbara's chair which was comfortable even for my curved spine, I enjoyed watching her perform the complex, lengthy procedure, until that is, I dozed off at least twice just for a few seconds, as I was totally relaxed, warm, and comfortable and knew that I was in excellent hands. Fantastic experience: I was referred to the Charing Cross Practice as I needed a root canal treatment that was quite specialised. I saw Barbara Swistak for an initial consultation and was then booked for two treatment appointments. When I attended for my first treatment appointment, Barbara discovered that my tooth had a crack in it. She stopped the procedure so we could discuss the best course of treatment as Barbara didn’t think that the original plan would now be successful in the longer term. Fantastic experience: I was recommended to Charing Cross Practice by my existing dentist for root canal treatment. I cannot praise Jonathan Hatton highly enough for the dentistry skill he has shown whilst I was under his care. He assessed my tooth quickly and clearly explained the options that were available to me. He was always reassuring and informative whilst I was in the chair, which was very calming from my perspective. The tooth in question is now as strong as ever and feels just like it always did. I must add that whilst I was under his care my 24 year old daughter managed to smash her two top incisors. Jonathan called me on a bank holiday, swapped my appointment that I fortunately had the next day and did an absolutely amazing job of reconstructing her two front teeth. You would never have known that 48 hours earlier there was hardly anything left of her two main incisors. He even looked at a photo of her recently taken so that he could get the shape and even the small gap between her teeth right. Thank you Jonathan for all of your efforts, particularly regarding my daughters teeth, she was over the moon with the final result.

Fantastic experience: Whilst I was initially disappointed that my trusted dentist was not able to do the procedure on my molar, I knew that I would be in safe hands with Charing Cross. From the first contact everyone was very friendly, efficient and very professional. Barbara was incredible and handled my nervousness with calmness and kindness. Her skill and interpersonal skills made the whole procedure appear easy and I am very aware that it is a complicated procedure demanding a huge degree of skill, expertise and patience. As I was travelling to high altitude she managed to fit in my first appointment before I went away ensuring that I didn't experience a flare whilst at 18,000ft. Fantastic experience: Can't believe I am actually praising a dentist practice but my personal experience has been nothing but brilliant. No one likes root canal treatment but having experienced this on more than one occasion this has by far been the best. Fantastic experience: Fantastically professional root canal treatment by Barbara, Jill and Amanda. If I had any doubts as to the benefit of dealing with specialists I don’t any longer. Expertise, experience , equipment and slick, caring teamwork all very evident. Procedure was entirely pain free , explained clearly and carried out calmly even when a sneaky fourth canal was discovered which I am sure would have gone unnoticed by a general dentist.

Fantastic experience: If anybody is reading this before attending Charing Cross to see Johnathan Hatton for root canal treatment, please be assured that you will be treated with professionalism, kindness, compassion and made to feel at ease immediately. I had my root canals with JH four years ago but I still see him each year to keep a check on things. I have never seen a dentist that cares so much. Every visit from my initial consultation, treatment and follow up appointments are carried out with absolutely no pain or discomfort at all. Everything is thoroughly explained throughout the process. You are treated like a cared for patient from start to finish. I wish JH was my normal dentist. I suffer more discomfort at a general check-up with my normal dentist that I ever have with Jonathan at Charing Cross. I didn’t realise root canal treatment could be pain-free. I know now that if I ever have to have another root canal with Jonathan, I will not be at all worried about it.

Fantastic experience: I had to have a complex root canal treatment that my dentist couldn't do, so I was referred to Charring Cross. I was greeted by friendly reception staff in a very comfortable setting. My initial appointment was also comfortable, thorough and informative, and I had input into the decisions made. The actual treatment, of which I was very nervous, was eased by pre-meds initially. On the day Jonathan explained each step, and made sure I was comfortable and prepared throughout the extended procedure. All went extremely well, despite the challenges my tooth presented. He works in very friendly unison with his Nurse, which creates a very happy and positive atmosphere, and I felt very relaxed with such lovely professionals. Fantastic experience: I had been recommended to Charing Cross practice by my new (wonderful) dentist in order to sort out a root canal on a fractured molar (many thanks to my previous ‘dentist’). Within a week of contacting the practice, Amanda had very quickly fitted me in for a consultation as the cancellation list moves very quickly. After the consultation I was extremely confident in the service I would receive. John is a welcoming and friendly. Not even a week later, I was booked in for my first phase treatment. As a nervous patient who’s undergone previous dental trauma, John had put me at ease. An evidently experienced and talented dentist. The procedure went smoothly and paint free, so much so that I nearly fell asleep whilst listening to my pod cast during the root canal. Both John and Sam made sure I was professionally looked after. Fantastic experience: As an incredibly nervous patient I visited Jonathan for root canal treatment after being referred by my dentist. The whole process was firstly made easy by the friendly and helpful reception staff who were attentive to questions and emails and replied to me as soon as they possibly could, nothing was too much trouble. As to the actual treatment I am very keen to acknowledge how calm and stress free Jonathan and his dental nurse made me feel. I was able to listen to my music while he was working on my tooth and this helped no end with the noise of the treatment being done. The numbing was made as pain free as it possibly could with numbing gel being applied first before being injected. The aftercare was fantastic too with an extra visit needed for me personally. This practice is a real 5 star setting and I wouldn't hesitate to go back if I needed any further treatment (although I do hope not!). Thank you all.

Fantastic experience: Had to have deep route canal treatment and was referred to Charing Cross if I wanted to, It was a good choice, not that I’m afraid of a dentist but if you are Johnathon Hatton had a way to put you at ease.

Fantastic experience: I can’t speak highly enough about the the practice. Everyone was exceptionally friendly, welcoming and helpful. The whole process was very efficient and communication about the procedure (and then contacting me quickly with cancellations to move the treatment forward) excellent. I never felt rushed. Everything was explained well and I was mentally prepared for the work. I have never had such a painless treatment - although I’d say previous dental treatments haven’t been “painful” there has been discomfort and the injections are usually really unpleasant but here I hardly noticed what was happening and they were administered and over before I knew it. The day after the least bruising or tenderness I’ve ever had in fact I wouldn’t know if had an hour and a half of treatment. Really professional and caring. Great modern up to date equipment for the best treatment. Can’t thank everyone enough. Good value for all the work done and time spent.

Fantastic experience: I was referred to Charing Cross due to my front left tooth already having had 3 previous root canals and an apicectomy (which I had forgotten I'd had in 2017!). The tooth and gum had become painful and I was convinced I would lose this tooth. I was lucky enough to have Jonathan Hatton, who assessed the tooth and after a long and anxious 7 months, was able to not only root canal my front left tooth for the 4th time (successfully, it appears!) but also, without need to remove the veneers that were already in place. He explained everything to me the whole way through, showed me everything including xrays and a CT scan, answered every single question I ever asked, no matter how big or small or silly. The other staff are also extremely polite and helpful, and I would recommend this practice for root canals in a heartbeat. Thank you Charing Cross!

Fantastic experience: I got referred from my dentist to Charing Cross to have two root canals. My experience with Johnathan H and his team was excellent. As an extremely nervous patient I was put at ease by himself and staff, explained fully the procedures so I understood properly, updated regularly throughout the treatment and overall the team went above and beyond to ensure my appointments went smoothly. I could instantly tell the knowledge and expertise Johnathan holds performing root canals and his gentle nature helped me greatly to control my anxiety. I was kept up to date with e mails, phone calls and photographs and I would strongly recommend this practice to everyone needing specialist treatment. Fantastic experience: Any dental work can heighten anxiety but Johnathon and his team gave constant reassurance and care to completely put me at ease. After the work was completed I now have the confidence to chew with my tooth and I'm so pleased I made the decision to go ahead. Fantastic experience: Had a root canal done here a couple of days ago & the whole process was amazing! First time having this treatment so I wasn't sure what to expect but it all went great & thrilled with the outcome. It's the most comfortable & relaxed I have felt in a dentists chair! No pain following the treatment, aftercare & advice available afterwards if needed. Everyone is friendly, patient & caring, the practice is quiet & in an easy to get to location. He is one of the nicest professionals you’d hope to meet. This extends to the whole team. The procedures were painless and were done with complete care. I could not recommend this practice more.

Fantastic experience: I have never felt in better hands. Competent, capable, courteous, very professional, Jonathan was incredibly skilled, friendly and polite. He talked to me extensively in our initial meeting and throughout the difficult procedure (of fixing a terrible attempt at a root canal by an incompetent previous dentist), reassuring me and informing me at every stage. The result was simply phenomenal. His work outstanding. So much care was taken throughout, he even used a numbing gel before the local anaesthetic injection, I've never known a dentist to do this. Although my current dentist is extremely good I wish he was my regular dentist. It's true that you get what you pay for, the treatment was a lot of money but worth every penny. The place is spotless, the receptionist friendly and professional. I left there feeling very happy, thank you!
