Negative experience: Absolutely appalling. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Continued with Nick after being registered at Bath Street since I was a baby and previous dentist retired. Quoted £500 for fixing an impact injury that was mistreated at the time by the same practice. This in reality ended up costing 3 times this. Consistently minimum 10 minutes late for booked appointments. When travelling back from work in Surrey, having booked off my last remaining annual leave, I called ahead as I was stuck in traffic. The receptionist acknowledged this. I arrived 5 minutes late and I was only then told my appointment was cancelled despite there being no other patients in the waiting room. I have had to work extra hours to save up time off and for the work itself. Having finally done this, I tried to rebook, they then tried to charge me an extra £60 for ANOTHER check up and said it was impossible to do the work the same day - screwing me again. I have now had a hole in the back of my tooth for nearly a year because of dishonesty in their quotes and constant mismanaging. If I had known this work would have been so extortionate and awful a process rather than the £500 initially quoted it would have been easier to just punch the tooth out myself. Vile. Dishonest. Deeply disappointing as a previously loyal lifetime member of this practice. Avoid at all costs.

From the receptionists who found slots at short notice, to the hygienist Vicky, and Kate's dental work and extraction everyone was wonderful, friendly and professional. Fantastic experience: When I recently had large back molar removed I was initially told it would cost about £400 then when I paid it was £166 which was a bonus. I was treated kindly and when I said I was still feeling pain after having initial injections I was believed and given more injections. The whole experience was OK. I was told good job I had the tooth removed when I did as it had infection under it.

Fantastic experience: Nick Harrison is the best dentist I have ever seen! I have had a long held fear of all dentists and I do still dread going, but I can honestly say that Nick is THE most gentle and thorough dentist ever. The practice is always clean and tidy and the receptionists are friendly and proficient. My only criticism is the winding stairs, which I find a bit of a struggle. However I accept that it is an old building and his is to be expected.

Negative experience: No help what so ever, asked for an emergency appointment for my 13 Yr old son as he was in agony and tears, (after explaining the pain he was in and how much he was suffering) I got a cold NO... Amazed by the carelessness of a child..

Negative experience: I was disappointed to receive a letter today. NHS service being removed and a letter asking us to pay over £40+ a month as a family (2 adults, plus 2 under 5's) to stay as a patient!!!

Fantastic experience: It was difficult to get an NHS dentist in Abingdon (noones fault but the lack of dentists), but now we are registered the practice has been great with the whole family. They try to find urgent appointments when necessary, and are careful to make sure the kids don't dread the dentist

He listened to my dental concerns and followed them up with a thorough investigation as well as my routine 6monthly check up.

I decided to try Bath Street and to be honest I have been genuinely impressed by the experience. Yesterday I had a check-up and today I had a filling by Nick and a first course of hygiene treatment by Rachel. The treatment I received was excellent and I felt comfortable and reassured that I was in good hands. The receptionists are pro-active and it seems to be a very well run practice. Very happy with my choice.

I would just like to add that my experience last week ,3.5.21 , was again fantastic. I was seen by Nick for a checkup and amazingly he was able to arrange a replacement filling on the same day! As we have now relocated north this was incredibly helpful. Rachel conducted the replacement filling that afternoon and was so calm and professional. A brilliant service all round.

Fantastic experience: Even during these difficult COVID times, I am most impressed with the care and quality of this practice - from the moment I knocked on the door just before my appointment time to receiving excellent dental care and then making my next appointment. The COVID safety measures of facemasks, social distancing, hand sanitizing, surface cleaning, air disinfection, avoidance of using any processes that might create aerosols were very reassuring.

He is the consummate professional and has become a trusted advisor and dare I say friend. On Monday - a day off for Martin - I finally gave up patience with a very painful and creaking old tooth. Three hours from my phone call to inevitable extraction and I was pain free! Thank you Kaitlin, Lorraine and Jemma. Superb treatment and care all round.

Despite the pressures the team are currently under, Katherine repaired the tooth, which looks good and feels good too. As always she was very personable and professional.

Fantastic experience: My child has hit his tooth while playing and I was keen to have a dentist checking on him. I got in touch with the practice and Nick suggested to send some photos to be able to offer some advice. Nick has shared useful insights about the incident and how it will heal which was very helpful. I offered to pay for the remote consultation services, but I wasn't charged even though Nick did spend time looking into this matter. It turned out to be nothing serious but it felt good to double-check. Obviously very pleased with the service; Nick was answering super quick via email and provided all the support I needed at that time. Highly recommended.

Each time I make contact or attend an appointment I always leave feeling that Bath Street is miles ahead in the professionalism, quality of work, techniques, technology, empathy and communication used. As soon as I could I transferred my son over to Bath Street dental practice as it is so important to have a dentist that offers high quality work. Caitlin is my dentist and She is first class highly recommended. If your looking for a dentistry that can offer an all round package for an individual or a family I would try to get onto their books. Their rules are fair and in exchange the dentistry work I have had done is first class. Absolutely no complaints.

Fantastic experience: I had orthodontic treatment done by the dentists here and had an aligner to straighten my teeth. The outcome was brilliant and it worked in just a few months without any dental surgery - no removal of teeth!! Everything was done in a professional but friendly way. I was really impressed with the efficiency and high standards of this very clean practice. The dentists are really lovely and make you feel relaxed, they really care about looking after their patients. The communication was great, as well as their flexibility with fitting the treatment into my timescale and availability. It was a swift service and I was able to easily book appointments. Having neglected my teeth in the past I booked myself in with Bath Street Dental Practice, they turned my smile from something that looked like a vandalised grave yard to one I can be front and center of a photo. Nick, Rachel and the team always inform you what they intend to do and go about it in a very relaxed and professional manner. My little boy who never opened his mouth the first time I took him is now happy to sit on the chair all by himself, partly due to the friendly atmosphere but more than likely the promise of a sticker at the end.
