Fantastic experience: A Remarkable Journey Back to Dental Health - don’t delay, treat your teeth today At 50 years old and having avoided the dentist for over two decades, I was filled with apprehension. My worry reached a climax when three of my teeth became so loose that I had pulled them out myself. To my astonishment, the third tooth came out without pain or bleeding, like the other two teeth. Despite having no cavities in all three teeth and what I thought were healthy gums, I was baffled and knew I needed professional help. Upon entering the practice, I was immediately struck by the warmth of the reception staff, Conner and Lisa. Their extensive knowledge and friendly demeanor instantly put my mind at ease. When I mentioned another wobbly tooth that was causing me sleepless nights, they swiftly arranged a prompt appointment for me. Meeting Alex, Morgan and Andrew was calming. Their expertise and genuine care shone through like the start of Summer. They conducted a comprehensive examination and, much to my surprise, the X-rays revealed that I had gum disease hiding beneath my gums - a common yet serious condition. Despite my teeth appearing healthy, it became clear that urgent action was needed. What followed can only be described as an extraordinary journey to reclaim my dental health. I was scheduled for another appointment with Alex and Dental Nurse, Livi, who provided exceptional care. This included redoing a white filling, preventive work, and a tooth extraction under anaesthetic. The entire process felt more like a mouth massage than a dental procedure! If it weren’t for the necessary movements of holding my tongue in different positions, I would have fully fallen asleep — this is no exaggeration. Alex and the team stressed the critical importance of flossing for healthy gums and introduced me to the benefits of an electronic toothbrush. Brushing gently for 2 minutes and not for 5 minutes hurriedly. I am now on a path to complete oral health with corrective work that will include hygienist visits. City Bridge Dental Care is quoted as saying “… you will feel like one of the family.” This is not the case, by my observations and interactions - it goes much deeper. Even in heathy families there are raised voices, annoyance, frustrations and one-upmanship. In fact, “the practice brings out the ‘BEST’ of what a family can offer”. Consulting each other, for my benefit, anxiety-free, peace and gladness I have experienced. Reflecting on my dental experiences from 20 years ago, the contrast is astonishing. The days of choking sensations, anxiety and unpleasant injections are long gone. (Does this used to or still sound familiar?). This practice has values. It is dedicated to continuous training and development, sharing wisdom, ensuring every staff member excels with an unwavering commitment to mastering dentistry. There are no exceptions. Would I recommend this practice? If I were to move back to London, I would gladly travel 118 miles to receive the exceptional care provided by this outstanding dental team. Fantastic experience: I am a very nervous patient but ALL the staff are kind and understanding. I have been attending this dentist for some 40 plus years! During this time some of the staff have retired but have always been replaced by people who are sympathetic to patients such as myself. If folk are not able to go to the upstairs surgery there are facilities for disabled folk to be seen in a downstairs surgery. I would have no hesitation in recommending this practice to friends and family. Keep up the fantastic work at making folk like me feel just a little more at ease when a visit for our regular appointments is required.

Andrew and his team are absolutely amazing and go above and beyond to provide excellent care to their patients. Andrew is fantastic with our little boys and in fact our boys love visiting and always leave very proud with their stickers. I have recommended city bridge dental a few times before and will always continue to do so.

I rang them on a Monday after seeing an emergency dentist and them telling me I have an abcess, and due to a difficult extraction they said I'd have to wait four months to have a surgical procedure done! The receptionist was fantastic and managed to get me an app within 4 days off calling. I had my consultation with Ross and he was incredible. The whole process was welcoming, comfortable and so reassuring. Ross is an amazing dentist, and managed to get my tooth out within a matter of minutes alongside draining the abcess! The receptionist was fantastic at explaining all costs entailed! Amazing dentist surgery overall & fantastic team. Thank you again!

Fantastic experience: Cannot recommend Andrew the Dentist + his fellow Colleagues highly enough - always a welcoming, friendly, relaxed atmosphere which never fails to puts you at your ease ~ any work that might be required is discussed fully ~ they also offer a yearly 'Plan' which I can also highly recommend as it covers you for something like 2 x 6 monthly check ups, 2 x hygienist appointments & an X ray if required ( from memory I think thats about right but check) but whatever it covers it stops the fear of having anything extra to pay whilst keeping track of your dental health ~ before your 'pearlies' get to such a state they are going to cost you big bucks! On my last visit I see they also do Teeth Whitening, Braces & Implants amongst other things & whilst I remember they have a ground floor examination room for anyone not able to do stairs.

Then I met Dr Alex James which to me have been life changing thanks to his wonderful patience, care, understanding. He gives you the very best treatment he can give to you and with so much care and thought put into the outcome. The attention to every detail is outstanding , he truly cares about his work and his patients.He talks you though everything with you step by step and always making sure that you are ok. I never thought I would ever by relaxed in a dentist chair again but this young man is truly amazing and would recommend everyone to come and see him. Followed up with a replacement filling, the booking for which was really straightforward and quick. The dentist, Alex James, was courteous, attentive and very clear in communicating the situation, what was needed and what he was doing. The whole process of having the old filling taken out and replaced went without a hitch, and the new filling feels great. The whole experience has cast a trip to the dentist in a really positive light, to the extent that - dare I say it - I can actually look forward to going again next time.

Negative experience: Have to say great service and very friendly staff but surprisingly my teeth did not get cleaned properly at all after I looked in the mirror at home. I guess it’s because hygienist can not use drill due to COVID and have to do it in old fashioned ways. Disappointed tbh....

Fantastic experience: I have been using City Bridge Dental Care for a number of years now and have been more than happy with their work and their dental hygiene program that I am sure is one of the main reasons that I have not had to go back and forth to the dentist every two of three month like I had to with my last dentist, I recently broke a crown off of one of my front teeth you can probably imagine this was quite distressing and I needed to get this done pretty quickly they saw me the very next day and got a temporary crown done that day, it took two more visits and all was done.
