I’ve been scared of the dentist all of my life but he’s really helped me feel at ease every time we see him, thank you so much We would recommend the surgery to anyone as all the staff are lovely. Fantastic experience: Have been at Dairy Lane practice for a lot of years, predominantly with Pat Kilker as my dentist who was brilliant. Since Pat left I’ve found the practice to continue providing a good quality of care. I’m currently undergoing implant treatment with Kenny and have found Kenny to be very thorough, and well supported by Lydia - thank you.

Fantastic experience: Both myself and husband attend the practice to see mr Ed Chambers. We use to go to him in his last place of work but unfortunately it was closed down, so we were both over the moon when we found out where his new place of work was. He really makes us feel at ease and his always honest with how our treatment is going and gives lots of advice if it’s needed. The reception staff are very pleasant and the dental nurses when they see you always give a smile and a hello. Would definitely recommend this Dental Practice.

Fantastic experience: I recently had to visit to have a tooth extracted and 2 fillings. As a very nervous patient I was immediately put at ease by Ed. He was a perfect example of how patient's should be treat. From start to finish he guided me through the hole process. I have nothing but praise for him. An exceptional dentist 10/10 Ed. I Would add that all the staff need to be recognised aswell. They are very friendly and helpful.

Fantastic experience: I’ve just completed a year-long journey with clear aligner treatment, followed by composite bonding and whitening, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. A huge thank you to Ed Chambers, who has been exceptional throughout the whole process. His attention to detail, patience, and commitment to getting everything just right made all the difference. Ed took the time to explain each step, check in regularly, and make sure the final outcome was exactly what I hoped for. If you’re considering dental treatment of any kind, I can’t recommend this practice, and Ed in particular, highly enough. Truly outstanding care from start to finish.

Fantastic experience: I visited ED last year very self conscious about my teeth. I got clear correct treatment, whitening and composite bonding. A year later I have never smiled more. So so happy with the result and couldn’t recommend a dentist more! He is so friendly and explained the treatment plan so I had a full understanding of the treatment I was receiving.

Fantastic experience: Fraya suffer with Anxiety but she says how patient you are with her and explaining everything has now made her feel more comfortable coming and she is not so scared. If only everyone took this time I know we are all busy. She won't come to see anyone else. Thank you

Negative experience: Booked my partner in for teeth whitening through Smile White at this practice. She had her appointment in April and was offered an upgrade to teeth aligning, which we declined — we just wanted the original whitening treatment we paid for. It’s now July and we still haven’t received the whitening mouth guard. We’ve called the practice five times — four times we were told someone would call back (no one did), and on the fifth call we were told it would be looked into with Smile White, but no timeline was given. This was a £400 birthday present and the service has been incredibly disappointing. It feels like once we said no to the more expensive treatment, we were no longer a priority. Not the experience we expected.

Fantastic experience: I just finished much needed dental work. The dentist assigned to me, Ahmed, did excellent work, while he explained very clearly what needed to be done and why. Everyone at the surgery was very helpful, and it was a pleasure speaking with them all. Unlike many other practices these days that try to sell you packages and find ways to earn more money from you - as has been one of my recent unpleasant experiences as well as that of friends- , Dairy Lane dental surgery is an honest surgery, and genuinely client centred. I was also seen very quickly and so all the work was done swiftly. I am truly happy and relieved to have found a dental surgery with such an excellent dentist and with everyone genuinely caring for their client.

Negative experience: Very bad. I was seen just after my front crown snapped in February. I was told that a special appointment was needed and it might be a few weeks. I agreed to that. I called again 4 weeks later to be told that I was still on the waiting list. I gave up waiting after another 4 weeks and paid a lot of money at a different Practice to get a denture. It is now October and I am yet to hear about an appointment, I always had good service previously but I am happy to pay privately than to ever to go here again.

Fantastic experience: I saw Shane today, and he was very thorough in explaining things to me, and he knew about my health problems and the kind of care to give me based on those issues. He listened to me and took the time to answer all my questions. Even his assistant was very kind, and she filled in all my medication on the form I filled out which was so nice and something I really don’t like to do since it’s a very long list.

Fantastic experience: Rang on Monday as mr son was complaining of toothache , got an appointment on the Wednesday and saw Ed. All I can say is what a fab dentist. He made my son feel at ease , explained the treatment too him aswell as me and sorted the problem , he’s back in 3 weeks too complete his treatment. So glad that they were able too see my son there.

Fantastic experience: Absolutely brilliant service- I had a dental emergency which needed to be sorted sooner rather than later. I was seen straight away and for someone who absolutely hates the team at dairy lane could not have been anymore supportive from the moment I walked in they kept me at ease with Michelle (the manager) being there every step of the way talking me through what was going to happen Once I was in the dentist room the Dentist (Ed) was brilliant he ensured I was aware of what was happening and what needed to happen and made sure I made informed decisions about my treatment All in all I would 100% recommend this dentist to anyone especially those who are a little nervous because they turn the experience into something much more positive than you think it’s going to be

Fantastic experience: Having suffered a lost filling on Christmas eve i wasn’t hopeful of getting an appointment quickly but how wrong i was ! Michelle took my initial call and was superb - a really pleasant telephone manner and she arranged for me to see Martin (Dentist) within 48 hours - Martin was excellent repairing the damage i’d done with the minimum of fuss - Well done to both Martin and his dental assistant ( apologies i didn’t get her name ) and Michelle - a credit to the practice - Dave Harrold

Negative experience: Terrible dentist. Missed two appointments which they never informed me. When I queried why they didn’t contact was called a liar and ‘they find it hard to believe’ I wasn’t called twice. when checking their system my number it has somehow been changed on the system. Wouldn’t want them to have my money!!!

Fantastic experience: I had a few appointments with Martin as I needed a new partial denture. The end result was amazing. I now have lovely looking teeth again. I'm delighted with the service and I was made to feel at ease as I was very nervous. Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Needed to make an urgent appointment after visiting Sunderland out of hours dental department at the weekend due to an infected tooth. I called and spoke to Beth who was the receptionist, Beth listened to my concern and offered me an appointment within the hour which I’m very grateful for. When I visited I met Beth who was polite and professional. I was treated by dentist Muniza who was friendly , gave good advice and didn’t rush. I was particularly impressed when Muniza explained and showed me my x-ray scans fully. I have a further appointment booked in this month and know I’m in good hands. The staff really helped me and put my mind at ease. Great stuff.

Fantastic experience: I am very impressed with the service today at Dairy Lane dental practice . An emergency appointment given within the hour for my 6-year-old grandaughter . She saw a younger guy called Martin I believe . He explained everything he was about to do making sure she was comfortable through out . She needed an xray , again he explain in detail what was to be expected . Not sure if folks are aware but they are accepting all children on NHS treatment, old and new clients. I was also pleased to be told as I was a patient within the last 5 years I could book my checkup no problems whatsoever After hearing so many stories of people having to go private I do think that is worth knowing . Fantastic experience: Visited the practice today for the first time, the practice was easy to find and parking was available outside the practice. My 7 year old daughter was registered with Ed Chambers at previous practice and when we found out Ed was accepting children on the NHS we were thrilled. Ed is so friendly, professional and patient, he explains everything so clearly and my daughter always loves her check ups with him. The practice staff were very polite and the Practice Manager Michelle was so friendly and professional, my daughter is already excited for her next 6 monthly appointment.

Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment today with Ed for a checkup (he was my dentist at a previous practice). I was with Ed for a couple of years and found him to be very approachable and instantly put me at ease. He took time to explain everything to me and reassured me all of the time. As soon as I found out Ed was working at Dairy Lane Dental Practice I instantly registered with them because I new from past history I would be well looked after. I found the staff very nice and helpful and can honestly say I’m pleased to be registered with this dental practice.

Fantastic experience: First appointment after lockdown. Used to be with Dairy Lane but had to go private somewhere else as unable to get appointment during covid. I saw Ed Chambers today and whole appointment went excellent. Need quite a bit work doing but he's explained the options and is doing his best to try to keep costs reasonable. Receptionists friendly and very patient. Thank god for our NHS.

Fantastic experience: I had some work done yesterday on a tooth that I've had some issues with. I'm booked in November to have what I believe is a root canal finished off but the gum around the tooth was bleeding a little. I was concerned and rang at dinner time and got an appointment for four hours after which I was very happy about. My tooth was re-dressed inside and the procedure was completely painless. I barely felt a thing! I didn't catch the dentists name but he was very friendly and re-assuring as are the other dentists and staff I've seen here over the past few years. I would definitely recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: No one likes going to the dentist but Dairy Lane Dental Practice make the experience enjoyable. The receptionists are always friendly and helpful and the dentist always have a smile and a pleasant nature. Even our child have enjoyed going to this dentist. I would highly recommend.
