Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of visiting Hollywood Dental Care again today, and it was my first appointment with the new female dentist Dr Erin McCue. I have previously been treated by Dr. Samin and Dr. Bruno, whose services I was also satisfied with (except dr Gerard). The Dentist completely met my expectations, executed exactly what I requested, and demonstrated great professionalism and gentleness. Equally important, all the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and professional. The entire appointment took place in a very comfortable atmosphere. I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic experience: Holyrood Dental is the absolute BEST dental company!!! Not an exaggeration!! Our daughter lost her retainer this week while on vacation from the U.S. She has had braces 3 times and cannot go without her retainer. To make matters worse, our flight was scheduled to leave early the next morning to get to our next destination. We walked into Holyrood Dental in the morning and even though they were busy, they fit us right in. I honestly can’t say enough good about the staff at Holyrood Dental. They were so warm and kind. Every single staff member radiated goodness. The dentist and office staff assured us they would take care of things. They took molds of her teeth, and told us to go enjoy our vacation day, which was also our daughter’s birthday. We got a call later that day letting us know we could come before close to pick up the retainer. Holyrood Dental staff are absolute miracle workers! This absolutely required them to pull some strings! Getting a retainer on the same day is not the standard practice. I can’t express the gratitude I felt! And before we left the office, they gave my daughter a birthday card!! My only regret is that we live too far away to keep going to this office!! I had to go all the way to Scotland to find the best dentist on the planet!! Thank you SO much Holyrood Dental!!!

Negative experience: Such an odd place, always completely empty with way too many staff. Was switched to a new dentist without being notified of the change. He didn’t seem super knowledgeable and called my 1.5 year old a “drama queen” for being nervous and uncomfortable. The only NHS dentist I could find taking new patients but now I understand why. Will happily pay more privately for better care.

Negative experience: While I really appreciate the kindness and helpfulness of the receptionists, who always efficiently schedule appointments, my child's visit to Dr. Gerard unfortunately turned out to be disappointing. I had booked a private appointment to have a painful baby tooth extracted (due to a cavity causing discomfort while eating). To my surprise, Dr. Gerard refused to remove the tooth, citing a gum infection. I want to emphasize that my child's teeth were thoroughly brushed just before the appointment, and I also experience similar gum sensitivity myself. Instead of the procedure, he only prescribed an antibiotic. Furthermore, the doctor stated that he "didn't have time" (!) to extract the tooth, which is completely unacceptable to me given the nature of the scheduled appointment. Only upon my explicit request did he perform a temporary filling of the baby tooth I believe this approach unnecessarily prolongs the problem, exposes my child to additional stress, and pushes for another paid appointment. Due to this experience, we will not be using Dr. Gerard's services again.

Negative experience: A Cautionary Tale from a Former Patient If you're thinking about Holyrood Dental, let me save you the trouble—and possibly a tooth. Despite attending every check-up and raising concerns multiple times about a particular tooth (even booking private appointments just to talk about it), they failed to notice it was dead. By the time someone finally acknowledged it, the tooth was beyond saving. I’m now out a tooth, a lot of money, and more pain than I ever signed up for. Additionally, Not once did anyone mention I might be grinding my teeth, or suggest ways to protect them. I had to figure that out myself after Googling my symptoms—because apparently that’s more effective than years of “professional care.” Check-ups felt like box-ticking exercises, and the attention to detail? Nonexistent. Honestly, I would’ve been better off with WebMD and a mirror. This practice didn’t just miss a diagnosis—they’ve completely ruined my trust in dentists. Proceed with caution.. Adding two stars—one for effort, one for being nice about it. If only kindness could fix bone loss..

Fantastic experience: Dr Derakhshin is the best. He is carrying out my SmileWhite treatment and I couldn't be happier. Very pleasant guy, always smiling and is always super inviting! Knows exactly how to tackle any of your concerns and is always 100% in making things the best they can be! Highly recommend this practise and especially Dr Derakhshin to anyone!

Negative experience: Kolejna Aktualizacja na dole ! Najgorszy dentysta! Miałem robiony ząb kanałowo w Polsce, ząb został przygotowany do zamknięcia kanałów ale musiałem dokończyc tutaj. Pani zamiast zdjąć opatrunek najpierw, założyła plombę na opatrunek (fleczer) po czym wróciłem na drugi dzień z ostrym bólem(kto zakłada plombę na opatrunek). Została zdjęta plomba i opatrunek (fleczer) ząb został wyczyszczony i założona nowa plomba ale nie zostały zamknięte kanały !!!!!!! 2 lata później ząb prawdopodobnie do wyrzucenia wszystko zgniło stan zapalny nie wiadomo czy da się naprawić to, dziękuję Pani niedouczonej dentyście. Odradzam !!! Zapłacicie teraz za ponowne leczenie kanałowe? Przez waszego człowieka i jego podejście kolejny raz muzę leczyć kanały i opłacać leczenie. Powinniście wsiąść odpowiedzialność za to!

Didn’t feel any pain during the treatment that includes the injections and tooth removal. I was given a lot of info regarding my teeth and gums which I haven’t been given by any other dentist.

Negative experience: I am frustrated and let down beyond words. Phoned them ages ago and told receptionist explicitly that I would like a dental clean. Receptionist asked NHS/private. I said NHS, hence the wait time for an appointment. It’s okay. But from what I got from that conversation, I can get a NHS appointment for a dental clean, right? Showed up today and reception told me at first that I was booked in for a “general check” on private. They then clarified and confirmed my appointment was for NHS “general check”. I expressed my concern cuz I need that dental clean, not just a generic check-up. They asked me not to worry; said that can be done as well. Okay my dentist took me into the room, had a less than 5-min look at my teeth, told me my teeth are in perfect health, and proceeded to tell me that clean would HAVE TO be done private, for a cost of £90. And if that’s what I want, I can have ANOTHER appointment booked for that…? First of all, I don’t get why, with all I have paid for NI and health surcharges (I am on a visa), I can’t get a simple clean for free. Second, well if I have to pay for a clean service, if that has to be, why did they not make that clear? Why was nothing done today? For this appointment, I was having to get UNPAID time off from work and get two bus journeys (40-min each), can I by any means get that compensated? I guess no. If zero-star-reviews are a thing I would give that tbh.

Negative experience: They treat people as customers and not like patients..arrogant reception..Instead of fixing a badly done tooth, propose its removal..dentist does not listen to the patient, because he knows better what was the reason for the damage to the tooth..pure magic and clairvoyance..They offer all the treatments possible, when they do something wrong, they explain that they don't really specialize in it..avoid this facility,and already on the NHS is absolutely do not enter

Fantastic experience: My previous clinic in Aberdeen did on-the-surface, provisional, ridiculously unfinished cleaning on NHS, the guy left half of tartar. After complaining on its short duration and poor results, they've requested £90 for redo, adding that "anything above 20min. will not improve health". And that is an utter nonsense. Then I went to this Edinburgh clinic with Polish & Greek female doctors. My god, what a difference! Spotlessly clean reception, spotlessly clean doctor's office, 50min of deep clean with airflow and whitening for the overall price lower than in Aberdeen. The dentist asked me three times what else to clean, I left being totally enchanted by the quality of her job and will definitely return for other treatments.

Negative experience: Very disappointing. Cold and calculated extortion. Money makers, not healthcare professionals. Avoid!!! I had a very unpleasant visit to Holyrood Dental Care yesterday. I asked the receptionists about help with costs because, although I am working, my partner and I are receiving UC. I explained that he has cancer and has been having chemotherapy since October last year. I was promptly told that I was sharing too much information. The receptionist was cold and uncaring, which made me feel bad for merely explaining our situation. All that this particularly stern receptionist wanted to tell me about was the ridiculous charges they make when you book an appointment: £20 for 20 minutes, £40 for 40 minutes, so on, so forth, which will, apparently be refunded, after attendance. Why charge patients in the first place?! I then went in to see the dentist who poked around in my mouth for literally seconds, without doing a proper assessment of my dental health. He quickly asked if I wanted a scale and polish at a cost, so I declined the treatment. I didn't think that the dentist cared about my dental health, he just cared about making money. My advice to you is to go anywhere else. Completely cold and callous dental practice.

Fantastic experience: Holyrood Dental Care in Edinburgh is a dental clinic that I've been using for many years, along with my daughter. My daughter used to be afraid of dental procedures, but she no longer fears them thanks to the staff's excellent treatment and approach towards children. Personally, I had an implant done, and I am very satisfied with the results. This clinic stands out for its great service, professionalism, and care for patients. I highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: I’m pleased being with Holyrood Dental Care. Staff acts in a very professional maneer, both the dentists and receptionists are always helpful and friendly. According to the treatments - I always feel taken care of and don’t need to worry about anything. There’s always someone to answer the phone and they always try to help as much as they can, explaining everything to the patient. I recently had a huge problem with one of my wisdom teeth, whenever I call them, I’m getting an appointment the same day and the problem gets solved really quickly. I also had some cosmetic job done by dr. Zadora and he was the only dentist who finally made my front tooth look perfect, as I had a mark which has been done by a few other dentists in the past, but the effect was never as I would expect that to be. Finally, dr. Zadora solved this problem for me as well! I truly recommend them, what can I say :)

Positive experience: I’ve had a good experience with the doctors. However, just recently we required an emergency wisdom tooth removal. After calling numerous times since 9 am, no one picked up the phone. We had to go to another clinic that booked us in the same day and removed the wisdom teeth efficiently. We got a call back 6 hours later from Holyrood, after the problem was already solved in another clinic. Not getting our calls answered for an extensive period of time has never been an issue here before and only started with the arrival of a new receptionist.

Negative experience: I really regret to be a patient there and trusted dr Zadora. I had regular checks for years and he haven’t notice my problem. I’m not going to tell here what exactly but I told him my concerns many times and doctor Zadora always said that I’m wrong. Now I’ve changed the dentist clinic and I’m diagnosed what I thought I had. Unfortunately it’s too late :( please avoid this doctor as he doesn’t properly care about his patients

Negative experience: UWAGA!!! Ostrzegam przed tą firmą!!! Wspaniała recepcja, potem całkowity brak profesjonalizmu. pan Zadura rozpoczął leczenie kanałowe twierdząc ze otwiera trzy kanały oczyszczając je myjką ultradźwiękowa do zdejmowania kamienia. (Jest to jedyny przypadek z jakim się spotkałem by stomatolog używał takiej metody do czyszczenia i udrażniania kanału) Pobierając po 100£ na 2 wizytach bul nie minął na przestrzeni 2 tyg. Udałem się do mojego dentysty w Polsce który po otwarciu zęba stwierdził ze otwarty jest jeden kanał w ok 1/3 głębokości poniżej dalej gnił nerw. Pozostałe dwa kanały nie były tknięte. Zostałem zobowiązany by ostrzec innych pacjentów przed tym stomatologiem. Innym wybitnym brakiem taktu wykazała się pani menager kliniki która wtargnęła do gabinetu w którym pan Zadura próbował coś robić z moim zębem i zwymyślała go w mojej obecności żeby się pospieszył bo kolejny „klient” (tak dla pani menager nie jesteśmy pacjentami) czeka! Beznadziejny nietaktowny menaegment i stomatolog z bardzo wątpliwymi kompetencjami zawodowymi. Firma naciągacze.

Fantastic experience: Holyrood Dental care, are absolutely fantastic, The staff go above and beyond to help you in any way they can, Nothing is a problem to them, I have been receiving treatment from Dr Bruno, He is an absolutely brilliant Dentist, and to be honest one of the nicest people i have ever met, as are all the staff there. Fantastic experience: Lisa is fantastic dentist. She gave me an anesthetic injection and first time in my life I didn't feel it, I was surprise that it has been done already without any pain! If not my front teeth damaged due to accident probably I wouldn't force myself to visit dentist as I was scared. I noticed it can be a relaxing experience if the dentist has great skills like Lisa. Doctor explained me every single step of treatment, I got answers for my all questions. I usually work in irregular hours, but it was not problem to find the best dates for me.
