Fantastic experience: Mrs Whelan is the best hygienist I have had in a long life of dental issues.
Positive experience: My experience at the recent appointment was great in some aspects, not so in others. I have been a private patient since I registered. I had called to book a hygienst appointment and whilst I was aware it had been a while since I had an appointment, the member of staff on the phone, ensured I knew how long it was, making me feel awkward and somewhat accused of doing wrong. I had some work done at a different dental practice as the quote was better priced than Saltdean Dental Practice, and as it was a package deal, I did have some extra appointments there. Once I arrived at the appointment, the receptionist checked me in with no issues, and the hygienist was very good, kind and even accepted to let my little one observe so she gained some experience. The hygienest raised a concern about a tooth and recommended booking a check with a dentist. When I asked to book in, the receptionist was short with me, once more stating I have not been seen in a long time. I was offered an appointment relatively soon, but was not able to confirm on the spot, so offered to book it in and can confirm later that day if I could keep it. The suggestion was met with great dissatisfaction and once more felt accusatory that I would waste an appointment like this whcih all I wished to do was check my work diary at home. I called back later on and booked an appointment which agreed with my schedule and the conversation was somewhat better. The day of the appointment with the dentist went really well, however there was a different receptionist on the desk. The dentist was great and took his time to explain and was very thorough. After the experience I thought to leave Saltdean Dental Practice, but the fact that it is my local practice and the rest of the encounters could not be faulted, I hope the negative experience was a one time bad day for the staff I interacted with on reception.

My appointment was arranged swiftly and the treatment was done well - Dr Jiwaji was patient and understanding when I got slightly anxious. Fantastic experience: Saltdean Dental is the best practice I've ever visited. The surgery has a calm atmosphere which puts me at my ease. Alex is an excellent dentist, professional but friendly. You do feel that you're being told truthfully what treatment you need. Not the case in other practices I've been to. All the staff (receptionists and nurses) seem caring and attentive. Special mention to Philippa my hygienist.. A lovely lady who does a great job. Saltdean is extremely lucky to have this outstanding dental surgery when it is so hard to find a dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had a tooth ache and needed to see the dentist urgrntly. I rang the surgery and the receptionist arranged an appointment and i saw the dentist within the hour and as my tooth could not be saved it was extracted. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Saltdean Dental for many years now. Alex (the proprietor) is my dentist. He goes above and beyond with all his patients. He is so gentle, both in nature and his work, especially with injections (I barely feel the injections). Everything is explained in full detail. Alex doesn't rush his work, unlike some other dentists who treat their practices as a sausage factory. He makes the time to speak - being the kind person that he is, and is always interested in the welfare of his patients. I personally look forward to my dental visits with Alex. His two Nurses are an absolute credit to him. We do have a laugh, and I can honestly say they are like family to me now. For anyone with a fear of dentists, or who have had a previous bad experience, then Saltdean Dental will not fail to remedy this. The reception staff are pleasant, friendly, and will always try their upmost to accommodate you in the event of an emergency. Alex's Associate has treated me a few times with emergency visits. He too, is kind, I never feel rushed, and explains in detail any problem that he finds. Thank you, Saltdean Dental. You are all wonderful human beings. Rosemarie (patient)

Fantastic experience: Saltdean Dental Health has provided me and my son with efficient, timely, conscientious and courteous dentistry for the past 10 years. Most recently I suffered a painful and prolonged jaw problem (TMJ) which affected my daily life. My dentist (Dr Alex Fenech) carried out extensive research before embarking on a skilful series of adjustments that identified and completely relieved my symptoms whilst, importantly, always treating me as a partner in my dental wellbeing. I can now cancel my hospital appointments and owe Alex a big debt of gratitude and confidently recommend him and his associate Javed.

Fantastic experience: Excellent dental hygienist. She has made a huge difference to my oral hygiene and awareness of how to avoid problems. Common sense support delivered in a supportive and considered way. It's always hard paying for an extra service like this, but it has made a huge difference to me, and I wouldn't have improved my dodgy gum health without it!
