Negative experience: Avoid Roopal, formerly at Shalesmoor, who will try and push you into having unnecessary private treatment. She'd tried to do it a couple of times to me but I finally decided to leave when she couldn't mask the little smirk on her face while she was trying to do it the last time. Their service was always very average anyway

Negative experience: This is regarding the mydentist shalesmoor practice which has now, fortunately, shut down. However, considering that this is the same brand I think it is important to make people aware of the shockingly poor standards of care that the mydentist network has allowed in the past. My partner made multiple visits to that practice. What started as a toothache ended up as one of the most painful and traumatic experiences of her life. Due to the actions of the dentists she spent weeks on maximum dosage of painkillers and had to have extensive corrective procedures undertaken by another, actually competent dentist. This included multiple root canals. Throughout her visits, the staff were consistently patronising and disrespectful. Finally, they have her antibiotics (for an infection they had caused) which contained penicillin, which she is severely allergic to. Luckily, we caught this in time... Please be mindful when selecting your dentist.

Negative experience: My daughter had a orthodontist appointment here and she said she didn't even want to come back here ! She said that the dentist were extremely rude, and very unprofessional when speaking to her. she asked a question to the dentist, and the dentist said and I quote 'i have no idea what youre talking about", then just to ignore my child! What ?! Description of lady who has blonde hair and blue eyes who wore glasses as well didn't even say hi to us when me and my child both came inside the room? It was room 5 as I remember, and there was a trainee nurse in the room as well. My daughter said the trainee nurse had hurt her upper lip which had caused it to bleed, because the trainee nurse did it so harshly! Wish I couldve gotten the names. Thanks to you my daughter doesn't even want to come here again !!! Is this what type of example you are setting ? Have a word with your staff and fix this. Recommend to not come here !

Negative experience: Unfortunately, I had a negative experience with this clinic. I came in for a free consultation during which I was told, and I quote, the orthodontist was about 95% sure no teeth removal would be necessary for the straightening. I was happy to hear this and paid £100 for the next steps, which included more photos and X rays. When discussing the additional checkups, I was told that 4 of my teeth would need to be removed if I was to proceed with the procedure. While my teeth are not straight, they are healthy so there is absolutely no way I'd have continued with the process and paid £100 if I knew teeth removal would be absolutely necessary. Frankly, I feel like I was given misleading information and regret contacting them.

Fantastic experience: I had twin block braces and currently have regular train track braces and they were so nice they talked me through it all, we're very kind always explained what they were doing. I had one issue with my twin block brace and they were helpful and fixed the problem effectively and quickly without making me wait too long.im never waiting in the waiting room too long and even the receptionists are kind and welcoming. Fantastic experience: My first visit was a few weeks ago and was my first visit to a dentist this century. After having less than ideal experiences with dentists as a child I was fairly nervous. However, I needn't have been worried. Technology and care have moved on so much. I've had two visits now and both have been extraordinarily easy. No pain and no discomfort during sessions. I had a temporary filling today and was in and out within ten minutes. Absolutely fantastic service. Tin Wal Ip is really excellent. I cannot praise her pragmatic and easy going manner enough.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been a patient with Kelham Island Smile Suite for 6 months, currently having orthodontic treatment (braces). Initial appointment to starting treatment was very quick. All staff are welcoming & put my child at ease. Premises are modern & welcoming. Would definitely recommend this Practice.

Negative experience: Poor neighbours bullying long established families who have occupied the properties for longer. May think they can give you a good smile but they've definitely wiped the smile of there neighbours.

Negative experience: Horrible neighbours - certainly won't be visiting this place if they're trying to ban residential occupants of the building from parking bikes in the garage, something we've been doing here for almost 5 years since moving in after being promised communal bike storage facilities by the original developers (as a condition of being permitted by the council to reduce the size of the originally planned ground floor car park under the guise of making the building a "no car development"). What a rude and unneighbourly way of introducing themselves.
