Fantastic experience: After feeling self-conscious about my teeth for many years and always doing closed mouth smiles for any pictures, I finally decided to start Invisalign last summer. The process was explained really thoroughly beforehand by Mr Patel and his team at York House. Everyone at the practice is wonderful - the receptionists are so impressive at remembering names and faces! My treatment was completed smoothly within the advised timeframe with each batch of aligners arriving promptly. Fantastic experience: Really nice facilities and very friendly staff

Negative experience: I’d like to start off by saying the service here on reception and over the phone is brilliant, I have no faults with the process of booking and attending appointments etc. I had an appointment here for a filling in April of 2023, which went quite smoothly but cost me a hefty sum. Unfortunately I still experienced tooth ache in the following months, after phoning and querying I was told that said tooth could be sensitive a while after the filling. I left it a few months as instructed and then upon a routine visit at a new dentist surgery (I moved up north so joined a new one!) they advised decay had been left above the filling and not all had been cleared out, which could be causing the pain I was experiencing. After then querying that with York House I was told ‘that’s how we do it sometimes’ but I wasn’t advised of that during my appointment OR in the following phone calls I made regarding the continuous pain after the filling appointment. I then had to pay for another filling at my new practice, for them to remove the existing clear the decay and re-fill in the hope that we saved the tooth in time to avoid a root canal. It’s now May 2025, over 2 years later and I now have to pay hundreds of pounds to get a root canal on this ‘troubled tooth’ as the decay was left in too long and the bacteria has got to the root! As you can imagine, if given the choice I would have chosen to have all the decay removed, even if this increased risk of further damage etc because there was a chance to stop the decay in its tracks which has now unfortunately resulted in a mass loss of finances on this one tooth and a lot of personal discomfort and stress. I advise if you come here, don’t just let the dentist do whatever they want to do, please ask to be walked through your treatment plan and to receive all options available to you - don’t make my mistake and assume they’ll volunteer this information to you.

Fantastic experience: I cannot recommend this dental practice enough! I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to the amazing team at this amazing dental practice. Being a new and somewhat nervous patient, I could not have asked more from Dr Ramdoo (Sonia). Sonia explained all the options available and together worked through the treatment options available. I never felt pressured down a treatment option that I was not 100% comfortable with. At the end of my first consultation, I was given a clear dental plan with the expected costs. Both Sonia and her dental nurse Emma, were extremely patient, kind and considerate at all times during my treatments. The reception/support staff were particularly kind, helpful and attentive and always met you with a smile. As to be expected, the practice itself was always spotlessly clean with a calm and peaceful feeling. After starting out as a nervous/reluctant patient, I now cannot wait for my 6 month check to come around

Fantastic experience: I cannot express how grateful I am to York house and their team. I had been trying to get an emergency appointment with my nhs dentist for weeks, even ringing 111 without success. After spending a day in A and E, I left disgruntled and worried that what was going on with my tooth was a bigger issue than I had been told so I bit the bullet and visited york house for an emergency appointment. From the moment I met Ricky, my dentist, he made me feel comfortable and confident I’d made the right choice. He immediately went to work to identify what was wrong and identified the problem just by feeling my face. He treated the immediate issue and explained in detail what my options were going forward, outlining the pro’s and cons of all treatments. Following his advice, I went forward with treatment, which required root canal. Having had root canal work as a child and having a very bad experience, I was worried and anxious about having the work done but was assured by Ricky that this time would be a different experience. That man did not let me down! When I got on the chair to have the work done he talked me through each step and made it clear that I was in control of how that appointment would go. I don’t believe I’ve ever laughed during dentistry work before, but today I did. I cannot recommend these guys enough, thank you, you wouldn’t believe the difference you guys have made!

Fantastic experience: Dental Excellence I am in my early 80s and have just had my “all on 4” final teeth fitted and I am over the moon. When my bridge finally came to the end of the road early this year because the supporting teeth had failed, I went to York House for the first time. My wife son and daughter have been patients there for many years. My dentist at another local practice had left. It was clear that nothing could be done to refit my existing bridge so I thought it will have to be a full mouth removable upper denture. I was told that there was a solution with implants but I could not imagine how a whole set of upper teeth could be replaced with implants. Also, I could only imagine it would be well out of my affordability. Then I read up on it and saw how it only needed 4 implants and could be done in a day (“Smile in a day”). The cost was still a significant amount for me as there are always other commitments. My family were all supportive of the idea so I bit the bullet (not really, I had no teeth). Having worn a denture for 10 years after a cycle accident at 16 loosing my 4 front teeth I remember the times when it broke on holiday and also one Christmas Eve party. Eating was never the same and there is all the other stuff that comes with dentures. Eventually I went private and had a very expensive bridge which lasted 50 years so the cost benefit has been great. Even at my age I am still concerned about my appearance which is with me every hour of every day and l do enjoy food. Looking in the mirror with no teeth can be a scary experience. The whole process which does take 6 months has been amazing thanks to the team at York house. The day all the action happened could not have gone better. I did have a smile in a day even with the temporary teeth which looked great. This is dentistry at the top end requiring the greatest of skill. Surprisingly there was. very little discomfort after the extractions then implants and teeth fitted. I went for the zirconia teeth on a titanium bridge and they feel so natural. I would recommend the extra expenditure. Thank you to all the team at York House.

Fantastic experience: I cannot thank the team at York House enough for having the utmost care and patience during a lengthy extraction to implant procedure. Dr Patel my dentist, Dr Gatrad my implant dentist, Michelle my treatment coordinator, Andrew (who kindly stepped in at times!) and the wonderful receptionists, all of which responded to any little problems that needed attention in a timely, caring and efficient manner. As a fairly nervous patient with some previous bad experiences, I’ve been made to feel a lot more at ease and in control of the situation. I was nervous about the implant placement procedure but I was given all the information I needed, and the procedure went ahead with minimal discomfort. The implants have now fully healed and work great, and I couldn’t recommend the practice enough to anyone considering joining. It’s a wonderful team. Thanks so much :)

Positive experience: Recently I am finally able to wear my new upper denture, although it did take few months to do the fitting and adjustment. However, my dentist Mrs. Mansuria is very patient and handle my case with good care. I would like to thank her for her professionalism and all the Dental staff are very attentive and kind too.

Fantastic experience: I was recommended to York House by a good friend when I needed a dentist after moving to Chesham a few years ago. It is so good to have found a dentist and practice where they take prevention seriously rather than filling and extraction which is what I experienced as a child in the 60’s. My dentist Mrs Midgley really makes me feel like I am in safe hands. Her care and professionalism stands out from the moment I enter the room. She explains at each stage what she is finding, and always gives me the information to help me be able to decide. Usually this includes what I can do between visits to slow down the development of issues. I recently needed to have a pair of old fillings on adjacent teeth removed and refilled, not a prospect I was looking forward to. That grinding drill bit used to open up the hole really isn’t nice. She x-ray’ed the teeth, explained what she was about to do and took the time to check that the numbing injection had worked. She worked fast and gently, even that grinding bit didn’t last long. The final touches with levelling off the filling was carefully done, so as to limit the pressure on one of the teeth’s root as she had spotted a potential problem for the future. The feeling came back to my gum later that morning, without any pain, and it has now been a few months and no problems whatsoever. The dentists are supported by a really friendly team in reception who always try to get me an appointment at the time I need it. Whilst waiting to be seen on their luxurious sofas I’ve also heard people come in needing an urgent appointment. The reception team always seem to be able to find a time that suits. I so wish all the dentists that I’ve had over the years had been as good as this one. Thank you Team!

Fantastic experience: I did not know that going to a new Dentist could be this good an experience! The smallest details have been taken care of from the minute you walk in the door. The aesthetic created with the decor, lighting, chairs, everything puts you at ease and calm, which for a lot of people is not a feeling you would normally get in a Dentist. This is just the beginning of the positive experience that the York House want you to have. Then you begin interacting with the staff! In creating any business you would struggle to find people as nice as the ones that work at York House. Customer service experts could visit here and learn from the people that work within York House. Having visited a few times now I’ve never had a bad experience. My Dentist was Mr Patel. On my first appointment Mr Patel sat down and talked to me, got to know me, understand my habits and my previous experiences. Having visited dentists in Chesham previously I know this is not the norm. There was no judgement! There was no making me feel stupid. Mr Patel is the principal Dentist at York House and it’s clear to see why he is so successful! The knowledge and expertise he possesses is because he wants to help people and I think that’s what a Dentist should be aiming for! I can not recommend York House highly enough. As I previously mentioned I’ve seen other dentists in the area and I’ve been put off going because of how their practices operate which is only to my detriment. Try York House, I do not think you will be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: After a consultation, with all options to correct my smile, explained fully to me, I then had 2 appointments for the work to be completed. This was done with minimum discomfort, and after wearing a temporary veneer for 2 weeks, I then had the finished one put in place. It is very comfortable, a good match for colour to my other teeth, and I can confidently smile again. Excellent service and if you feel the need to have your smile corrected, then I would fully recommend this.

Fantastic experience: My dental implant treatment was completed today and I now have a beautiful new tooth! The treatment was delivered professionally at every stage and each procedure was explained clearly to me. It's an expensive option but well worth it in my opinion to retain the integrity of my jaw. Fantastic experience: I used to be extremely anxious when attending dental appointments until a friend recommended Mr Cornell to me and that must have been over thirty years ago. Since then I have attended every six monthly check-up without feeling anxious and this is because of Mr Cornell's caring way. Mr Cornell has never recommended any dental work that did not need doing and he is always gently encouraging me on how to best look after my teeth and gums. I highly recommend Mr Cornell.

I had a dentist appointment during the pandemic, which I have to say I was nervous about, however the practice has gone above and beyond, with full PPE, a virus purification system in the waiting area and a one way system. The York House team have created an exceptionally safe environment, I feel very lucky to be under their care.

Fantastic experience: Our family have been patients at York House for over 30 years and even though we moved away 15 years ago, we would never consider leaving, preferring to travel the 2 hours for the service we receive. York House has very friendly and professional reassuring staff which starts the moment you enter the building. During Covid, extra measures have been put in place leaving you feeling safe in their hands. The addition of the tv screens, which you can watch whilst the dentist works, helps keep you relaxed even during longer sessions. Fantastic experience: I first became a patient at York House in 1988. I have since moved 1 hours drive away in North Hertfordshire, and the fact that I still choose to remain a patient at York House tells you all you need to know just what a superb dental practice this is. The standard of the treatment and the quality of the dentists is exceptional. The receptionists are always kind, friendly and helpful and cannot do enough to help you. I cannot rate this practice highly enough, and I always look forward to my next visit.

When my molar broke during the first lockdown, I had an extraction, and every possible care was taken to safeguard me and the staff at that time. Since then I have visited for check ups and have always felt safe and well cared for.

I am not at all scared of the dental procedures and if you are you will find the staff understand and are very kind and reassuring. The building has recently undergone restoration procedures and they are very impressive, simplistic, hygienic and immediately produce a calming effect on entering. Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of this practice since the early 1990’s . Although I can’t say I enjoy a visit to the Dentist!, as a very ! nervous patient ! Lol , I have nothing but praise for the professional and friendly treatment I have always received , over the many years I have attended the practice . During the present Covid 19 pandemic , I have needed to visit the Dentist twice , once in there Temporary accommodation whilst the refit was being done , and again once when it had been completed. On both accessions the staff and my own Dentist Andrew Cornell , made me feel safe and protected in the knowledge that the utmost attention was being taken for the safety of the patient and the team with correct PPE equipment being worn and surfaces and equipment being cleaned after every patient , working for the NHS myself ithis was very important to me , and I would throughly recommend this practice

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient with York House for over 25 years. The staff have never been anything less than totally professional and dedicated to patient care and wellbeing. The surgery and reception/waiting areas are always, bright, clean and tidy. I have visited the surgery during the current pandemic and have been even more impressed than usual. All staff adhere strictly to the rules and regulations. The dentists and reception staff all wear the appropriate PPE and I certainly never felt that my safety or anyone else's was compromised at any time. I am a somewhat nervous patient but again I've always been treated kindly and with respect. From a personal perspective, I cannot praise York House Practise highly enough and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anybody.
