Fantastic experience: I want to thank Dr Nikul Patel and Roberta for the wonderful kind and attentive treatment I have received over the past year after a traumatic accident in which my front teeth were so badly damaged they had to be replaced with implants. It’s been a long hard road but Nik’s skill, kindness and care have been fantastic. He explained every procedure in detail and consistently kept in touch between each appointment to check on any problems I might be having. The end results are amazing, my teeth now look better than they did before the accident. Thank you again Nik and Roberta.

Fantastic experience: Outstanding service. I was initially scoping out a dental implant, however this was unfeasible for various reasons. Dr Nikul Patel came up with an alternative and more cost effective option - a resin retained bridge. Notwithstanding some technical challenges, the bridge has so far been excellent; it is comfortable and I hardly notice it. The process was incredibly rigorous and flexible throughout - I was provided with a comprehensive overview of the treatment options and clear timetable of appointments over several weeks. Finance was quick and easy to arrange. Nik is also unfailingly polite, has an excellent dry sense of humour, and with an ability to convey often highly technical issues into plain English. I am also very grateful to Bethan and Roberta for their professionalism and support. Highly recommend.

Negative experience: I attended this practice twice and believed I had been accepted as an NHS registered patient. However when I rang for an emergency appointment I was told I had not fulfilled the conditions to be fully registered and so they could not help as they were no longer accepting NHS patients. Clearer explanation of requirements to be a fully registered patient would prevent such confusion.

Positive experience: Joe Flight was my dentist for a double extraction. He was very considerate; a patient and attentive listener; he went as far as to have my preferred music playing even before I entered the room. Plus of course he achieved the extractions without discomfort or complications. The systems are also excellent for bookings, reminders, and payments. All good.

Fantastic experience: Eleven months ago following recommendation we arranged a consultation appointment for my husband Joe with Nik Patel for extensive rebuilding of existing teeth and new dentures. Various option plans were set out and explained in detail by Nik prior to commencement of the intense and lengthy procedures which have now been completed. The professionalism, care and humour has been second to none and we can't thank Nik enough for the attention to detail he has shown together with the thorough and fantastic work he provided It's great to see Joe smiling broadly showing off his new teeth!!! Fantastic experience: I have recently finished a course of treatment at Alton Dental in Lenten Street. Nik my dentist was excellent. Assisted by Alisha he explained everything in simple terms and showed great patience. Very pleased with the work he has completed.

Fantastic experience: After many years of bad experiences at the dentist ( Not Alton Dental) I was referred to Nik by another dentist in the practice who was about to leave. My whole view on dentists has changed for the better now. Nik is a wonderful, thorough, informative and a talented dentist. He worked out several different dental plans so I had the option to choose which one I felt most comfortable with. None of the treatment is rushed so I didn’t feel overwhelmed with it all and that also gave me confidence that it was all being done properly. The main thing I had asked for was for my very worn down and yellow looking teeth to have a better appearance. Well all I can say now is WOW, I had composite bonding on my upper and lower teeth and for the first time ever am happy to smile and have my photo taken. Niks dental assistant Bethan is lovely, friendly and helpful and a star for helping me choose the perfect colour for my new teeth. Alton Dental is a very good practice especially if you are nervous on dentist visits. As soon as you walk into the practice you are welcomed by the lovely receptionists who are very helpful and put you at ease straight away.

Fantastic experience: I had previously travelled about 15 miles to be treated by my dentist for many years but as he had moved on, it was time to find one nearer to home. I also just had a large lump break off a molar. Alton Dentist in Lenten Street was my nearest and I am glad that I chose them. I was assigned an appointment with Dr Joseph Flight who turned out to be a good choice, He and his nurse, Rebecca make an excellent efficient team. I am not a nervous patient but I did appreciate the way he kept me informed every step of the way. I will have no hesitation about returning in the future and came away very pleased with the experience. It was a pity the NHS list was closed but apart from that, they can not be faulted in any way.

Fantastic experience: Having a long-standing fear of dentists, this was always going to be a challenge for me. But I needed work done - and lots of it! After about a year's worth of work, including teeth extraction, replacement fillings and very much more, I am through to the other side and am very happy to smile - a big CHEESY smile. Many thanks to Izzy and the team at reception, who got all my appointments through. Huge thanks to Bethan who was just brilliant and was so caring and considerate. And of course, THANKS to Nik. Your patience, time, care, concern and yes even good humour (I'll not mention the dodgy music choices) made this often traumatic journey much more bearable. Fantastic experience: Absolutely cannot recommend Dillan enough, he is by far and away the best dentist I have ever visited, considering I am very nervous due to my previous dentists treatments, in the past two weeks I've had fillings and an extraction, he explained everything very well and kept checking in on me, the procedures went really well, doesn't mean I want to visit a dentist but when I have to, this is the guy I would want every time. Thank you Bordon dental surgery for going private as I would have never gone to Alton if you stayed as NHS, excellent service.

Fantastic experience: Firstly I am terrified of dentists, but this has changed my opinion completely. Both receptionists Izzy & Claudia are very nice, my actual Dentist Joe flight and his nurse Rebecca were great, they made me feel very relaxed and told me everything that was going to happen, on this occasion I had a back tooth removed and I didn’t even notice the numbing injections, completely pain free I still can’t quite believe how nice the experience was. I would highly recommend Alton Dental, they were fantastic

Fantastic experience: I am definitely not the biggest fan of the dentist, in fact it's probably my least favourite place to spend time, and always really damn expensive. However, I can definitely not deny the level of skill and care these guys provide. When you can't tell which tooth they've worked on it definitely says something. Dhillon always explains everything really well, and makes sure you are comfortable throughout. We worked out a time frame and plan so it is affordable. I still don't particularly like the dentists, but I definitely recommend these guys if you have to go.

Positive experience: I received excellent (5 star) and complicated treatment from Nik who was ably and efficiently aided by Bethan. I was very well looked after and kept fully informed throughout. The only reason for docking one star was that at the outset the report I was promised so I could decide which course of treatment to follow took a long time to reach me. In my opinion Nik is a very accomplished dentist.

Fantastic experience: I had been experiencing acute sensitivity in a back molar tooth for a number of weeks and my usual dentist could not find anything wrong. I made an appointment with the practice in Alton and saw Joe. He gave me a diagnosis and then explained the procedure to correct it. I was given a choice of options for treatment and Joe explained in detail, the steps required to administer that treatment. Joe was very thorough, efficient and very meticulous in his work and made me feel completely at ease. I can highly recommend Joe and since having the procedure, the sensitivity has completely gone. Fantastic experience: I just signed up here and had my first appointment today. I am really glad I got given Grishma as my dentist because she is really nice and also professional. I am booked to go back for an extraction and filling so I am not looking forward to that but I will update my review after that.

Fantastic experience: I can’t speak highly enough of Dillon, I needed to have a tooth extracted & was extremely nervous about this. Dillon was patient, kind and caring throughout the procedure. He kept me fully informed throughout and answered any questions. The surgery itself is spotless and the receptionists are always welcoming and helpful.

Negative experience: I booked an appointment as i am having trouble with my wisdom teeth. They are painful and growing sideways. When booking the appointment the receptionist told me the cost of the appointment would cover any antibiotics or referrals needed.I was waiting for half an hour to then have a 5 minute ‘emergency’ appointment. I expressed to the dentist (who I haven’t seen before) that I was in pain as my tooth is growing to the side into my gum and rubbing on my cheek and that I was concerned that my wisdom teeth growing though would make my teeth more wonky and also that I wanted them removed. I was told to use salt water and brush them more… he then said for me to book in for another appointment for a general check up. I told reception that I don’t wish to pay for my appointment as nothing was done to help me. The receptionist then told me that the dentist told her to deactivate my record. I feel disrespected by the dentist and the receptionist. I feel that my problem has been completely ignored and instead of helping me they have deleted my file as I have complained. Me and my whole family have been using this dentist for years and have always seen the lovely dentist Nick. As I loyal patient I do not appreciate being treated like this by the staff.

Fantastic experience: I needed extensive repair to many of my teeth with very old metal fillings failing, resulting in several teeth breaking too. Nik was excellent. Everything was explained very thoroughly so I knew exactly what treatment was required and when, what options I had and the costs involved. A detailed plan of treatment was drawn up. The treatment itself went really well with Nik and his team being very professional. I particularly like the fact that x-rays and digital photography is used to explain the required treatment and also to show the end result. I now have no metal fillings, all perfectly colour matched ceramic fillings and crowns, no more ugly metals. I’ve used this dental practice and it’s sister practice on Anstey Road for five years now and would thoroughly recommend without hesitation.

Fantastic experience: Having had bad experiences with dentist in the past I was very reluctant to book an appointment. I’m extremely anxious about having any dental treatments so I was really worried. When I arrived I couldn’t have been treated any better than I was, everyone was so lovely and extremely patient. They made me feel calm, and comfortable the whole time. I cannot recommend them enough for their professional manner linked in with a lovely human touch that put me completely at ease. Fantastic experience: Visited Dr Prena for the first time in many years after having a previous bad experience when I was younger which created a fear of dentists ! Over the last year I have had many different treatments and all have been completed with great results. Dr Prena is great at putting you at ease and I am now in the stages of whitening my teeth which has also achieved great results. I only wish I had come here sooner and not left it so late - I would urge anyone to get an appointment if they have been putting it off ! All staff are very friendly and helpful from the reception team to the dental nurses and Orla the hygienist is so helpful and nice as well really good at keeping you calm etc and showing you what to do at home etc.

She was extremely thorough through the whole process and her depth of knowledge was refreshing. I felt very comfortable and she went above and beyond to provide a five star treatment. Fantastic experience: Just been seen by Nikul Patel with assistance of Bethan. I have given a 5-star rating as I cannot see my experience could have been improved upon. Currently undergoing a lengthy course of treatment so I am not just referring to one or two visits, but many. I would rate him highly professional, and very caring. He takes a pride in his work. To use I quote from him;- “I aim to achieve the gold standard”. My words, silver is just not good enough for him! I have seen a number different of dental nurses, at my appointments, all of whom appear to be well motivated and efficient. The practice must in my opinion be well run as all staff, from the reception desk up, that I have encountered with, have a very professional manner and treat you as a person and not just another client to be processed. I know that many people have a dread of the ”Dentist” but at this practice you will be in very good and caring hands.

Fantastic experience: I’ve used Alton Dental twice recently and both times been delighted with the wonderful care given. Last week, my son got hit in the mouth with a hockey stick. I took him straight to Alton Dental. Despite not having an appointment, he was seen instantly. The dentist who saw him was excellent and checked my son’s teeth throughly (he was fine). This week, I had an appointment. I haven’t been to the dentist for several years and don’t look forward to the prospect. I was seen by Nora, she was so kind and gentle and was excellent, explaining everything carefully and keeping me at ease.

Fantastic experience: Meeting NikuI and the team at Alton Dental has been a real game changer for me and my husband. Nikul inspires confidence in discussing the various options available to deal with the dental issue you are facing. The treatment plan is well constructed and you know what to expect at each stage. I could not be more delighted with my new smile. A big shout out to all of the staff at the surgery too - everyone makes you feel welcome and puts you at ease. Fantastic experience: I am an EXTREMELY nervous patient, but Nik managed to remove and replace two very old fillings without once making me upset or panicked. His method meant that my mouth and throat were shielded from the washout, suction and drill dust, so I experienced none of my usual feelings of choking. He, and his nurse Rojina, were kind, considerate and efficient throughout. Afterwards, he showed me photos of the work at several stages, and it was interesting to see exactly what he has done, and why. I have made my next appointment without the usual trepidation!

Negative experience: They De-register you if you are unable to make appointments due to illness or work commitments. They only think about money in their pockets and have no care for patients in that respect! Avoid!

Fantastic experience: Can’t thank Dr Prerna enough for giving me a lovely white smile, I finally am happy to have my photo taken and not see a grey tooth, which is just as well because she took lots of photos of my teeth. Alisha and Prerna were so friendly and caring, I would highly recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Dr prerna and Jo made the dentist a very enjoyable trip, shiny new filling installed nice and quickly with some lovely conversation. Professional, friendly and great at their job... would recommend to anyone. ps - i look after my teeth (my filling was for a broken molar because i chewed on a popcorn kernel)

Fantastic experience: Couldn't thank Hassan and Elzie enough for making my visits as relaxed as possible. (They even even manage to make me laugh)! Hassan talks things through thoroughly with you, gives you lots of different options, gives you plenty of opportunity to ask questions and tries his very best to make you feel at ease. I've always been anxious about going to and being in the dentist so much so that I hadn't been for a while and kept putting it off. Since becoming registered here I've been twice in under 6 months! Fantastic experience: I bought my son James for his appointment today he has Autism and anxiety he was very anxious about his appointment. The Dentist we saw was Hassal he was amazing to my son James talked him through everything made him feel so at ease .the nurse was very supportive to james also .we thank you both.
